my Marriott carpet sure it's a little tighter and then I remember it being Hello friends welcome to the shop you've got bill today and Dragon Con is right around the corner hence the carpet shirt DragonCon is our very favorite convention we didn't go the last two years it's been a huge Hiatus we can't wait to go back so we had to had to make some new costumes and we have been obsessed completely obsessed by a little game called satisfactory bam look at that this is what I'm making today this helmet here is part of the Pioneers which is the player character in satisfactory it's part of their outfit it's like a Sci-Fi looking jumpsuit they're basically sci-fi Factory workers we're gonna make a pair of those costumes one for me one for Brit and today I'm focusing on the helmets which they sell a shirt of so I had to get it the plan for these helmets is to 3D print them so the first thing we needed to do is gather some references including 3D scans of our heads I use an app on my phone called polycam you basically just walk around your subject uh like you're taking a video of it it takes a whole bunch of photos that get uploaded to a server and processed into a 3D image and then sent back to your phone it really is kind of like wizard magic and it's crazy useful especially if you're gonna model a helmet around a head and you want it to fit correctly our friends Benny and Svetlana over at kamui cosplay put out a video about a year ago that covers 3D scanning in a lot more depth so if you're into that go check that out for our helmets we purchased some store-bought visors that looked like they would be roughly the right shape for the visors and the satisfactory helmets but I also 3D scanned those to drop into Fusion 360. but they're very reflective so I covered them in tape first and then scan them and it came out really like I'm crazy impressed with how good these scans turned out the 3D scans aren't perfect so I did have to do a little bit of tweaking in mesh mixer to like patch some holes and weld a bunch of cracks together I also dropped the files into blender to decimate the geometry to simplify it a little bit Fusion 360 doesn't like anything over 10 000 polygons so I was able to Crunch them down quite a bit but then I could dump them into fusion and calibrate them so that they are exactly the right size so that anything I model around my digital head I can be pretty confident will fit on my reel head we also got our hands on the in-game model for the helmet we're able to put that in there and scale it as well basically just as a reference to model around this is the low poly model there's a lot of detail physical detail that's omitted in the low poly model that I will have to add in my high poly printable model with all of my references collected and then inserted into to Fusion 360. I was ready to get started on days of 3D modeling I modeled two helmets one for me and one for Brit they're slightly different sizes different scales because we have different size heads so I modeled them in tandem if you're looking to get into Fusion 360 just get started on some basic projects we just put out a video course it's a four hour course on the basics of everything I use to model props in Fusion 360. it's super super useful so head on over there and grab that if this is something that's interesting to you but as a little bit of a primer on helmets let me run you through just the basics of creating a hollow helmet shape for your head first thing you want to do is use the form tool you want to create a sphere and scale it to about the size of your helmet then you can edit that form and push and pull your edges and faces and vertices until you get it closer to the shape of your helmet you can also turn on symmetry so the left and right side of your helmet are exactly the same once you're finished with this rough shape you can finish the sculpt and then draw some sketches from the side of your helmet that you can use to cut out things like a hole for the neck and a hole for the face once you've got those things cut out then you can use the shell tool to turn this solid hunk of material into a hollow bit that can fit on your head you just tell it how thick you want the walls to be to me this is this is the Wizardry of fusion 360. it's such an easy tool to use to get really fast really quickly then of course after that really quick part there are days and days of adding all the details to your helmet whatever helmet that might be if you're interested in the helmets from satisfactory we're going to share the print files for those for free if you want to go get those and we'll have links to all of the screws and the visors that we use if you want to print it yourself and put it together for me though it meant days of 3D modeling and as Parts got finished in the model we could feed them to our 3D printers start cranking out some real world objects we ended up with a ton of parts to print so we engaged every printer at our disposal right here in the shop we have the ultimaker it prints an ABS and we use that for the bigger parts and then for the smaller detailed parts we have our any cubic Photon mono X that does such a great job of printing tiny detailed Parts in resin like the vent holes on the front of the mask that resin printer by the way is using the Soraya Tech Smoky black resin and that one has worked out quite well for us we even sent some of the files over to our buddy Joel the 3D printing nerd to try and print out on his form 3L in their 1500 tough resin we wanted to see if we could do a giant print all in one go and make sure it's really durable and here we are now several days later with a bunch of 3D prints ready to get to work on here are some of the 3D printed parts for one of the helmets they're all still being printed right now but here's what we have so far these are the ABS prints the filament printer the ultimaker over here sort of larger Parts you can see that I've had to cut this into smaller pieces so that fit on a printer I'll have to glue those back together later but I'm going to do the first pass of sanding I think before we do that just so I don't have to handle an entire helmet I can sand just these smaller chunks these funky looking pieces here all came off the resin printer the any cubic printer a similar case but the support material is really on there so I'll have to go trim all that off and then do some sanding this stuff I could probably start with like 220 grit it's so fine already and eventually all of these wacky little pieces all need to get glued together as well I also planned on splitting pieces apart based on color so this is the ear Puck this will eventually rest in there facing the other direction but this part's silver and this part is gold or yellow or whatever the satisfactory color is but I can paint them separately and then glue them later so those are all separate and I have a bunch more little bits and Bobs here that need the in the same treatment so I'm gonna grab some sandpaper some needle files and get to work foreign [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] yesterday's sanding and I'm probably going to spend all of Tomorrow sanding but today today we're going to stick all this together I got everything to 100 grit and we'll do some sealing but this here needs to go together instead of using glue I'm going to use acetone since this is ABS plastic acetone will actually melt it a little bit and then when the acetone evaporates it'll stick together I've done a couple of little tests here and I know it's going to work really well so I'm confident and I have instead of just acetone I have this slurry this is a a jar I've maintained for a couple of years now I have things like support material or the brims that I use for my 3D prints instead of throwing them out they get thrown in here and added to the collective that'll dissolve in the acetone and I can put some more acetone in there and mix it up to get this delightful slurry I use this on the glass print bed of my ultimaker and I'll lay down a thin bit of Goo like this and that makes the print stick down really well which is awesome but we're also going to use it basically as a glue I don't think I need a lot but I do like the idea of using this slurry because it'll add a little bit of plastic probably fill in the Gap a little bit and the acetone does its magic pretty quickly I glued a different part together using this technique and it was almost fully dry I guess in about an hour and a half which I think is pretty impressive so I can glue some parts together and while I'm gluing them they'll dry and then I can sand them in just another hour and a half so this will stick together like that and it will want to stick right but I've got some tape here to make sure everything stays aligned and stays clamped the main thing I'm concerned with is that this seam is as flush as possible I can clean that clean up too but I'd rather not if I didn't have to I'm using thin strips here I don't want to cover the whole seam I I'm guessing that the acetone needs air to get in there to evaporate and that'll create the whole Bond that looks pretty awesome so I'm just gonna go do this with all the other parts well this is one weird jigsaw puzzle but I think I think it's all gonna go together [Music] foreign together everything's lining up pretty well I want to make sure the front lines up foam head here is quite helpful the pattern for this by the way available over punchpops.com this is the very last piece to attach I'm starting to get really excited all right last piece don't mess it up stay cool I can't wait I gotta try it on and it it fits on my head this is an extraordinary relief I was pretty confident what with all the 3D scanning and double checking I did but there's nothing like the moment when it actually goes on your Noggin to feel confident I should probably let this try actually I should probably see if the visor fits here's our visor oh pretty if it's if it's writing I want it I sure hope I'm gonna have to trim it and attach it later much later I don't think my head will fit in there right now let's give it a try I mean it looks so good this is that part there's a part in every build when stuff starts coming together usually like if it's a costumes when you can put a piece on or if your prop has enough parts that you can like hold it it starts to feel like a real thing this is that moment right now and I couldn't be happier we let the uh acetone welded edges the seams all dry overnight and I got to tell you this thing feels very solid I was actually super impressed with how quickly I was able to put it together with that technique and how just Rock Solid these joins feel up next is gonna be making all the seams vanish making them all go away so I think I'll just sand them down a little bit and then I'm going to fill them in with more ABS plastic for the sort of bulk of the sanding I've got this orbital sander here at uh does that I got some fresh sanding pads on there some 80 grit and I'm going to use that to knock off the seams where they don't quite line up a little bit uh get them a little more flush before we start filling with more plastic I'm also going to put this mask on so I don't breathe all that ABS dust [Applause] so I'm outside I've got a bit of ABS filament here and I have a hot knife what I'm going to be doing is melting just a little bit of plastic and then mashing it down into the seam and It all becomes one and then I can come over this seam and sand it and it'll pretty much vanish I do have I'm outside obviously because of the fumes I'll throw my respirator on in a second here when I'm doing all this definitely don't want to breathe this stuff in [Music] [Applause] it's time for the last dab around here to put filler primer on your 3D printed props this is an automotive filler primer I've done a lot of sanding it's mostly 100 grit a lot of scratches left this should fill those in and it also tell me where I've missed so I'm going to cover all the parts oh the excitement of painting gray plastic Gray oh it's looking good looking good well my paint is drying I can do more assembly this is the sort of cage that wraps around the back of the helmet in fact I put mine together right here this was all printed on that that resin printer uh in little pieces and now we have to attach them together it's kind of like a like a fun jigsaw puzzle I didn't model any tabs or anything so I have to add my own now so I have these pieces of styrene I've sanded one side of them and cut them into little rectangles so that I can glue them on the back of our parts to use that to support them and hold it all together and then for the glue I'm just going to go with super glue just a little glue on the back I can stick the tab on [Music] give it a little bit to set double check my fit a little more glue on here and stick it together a little bit of accelerant on there and that'll kick it off and that should be nice and strong I'll have to sand that seems smooth but I can glue everything else together now [Music] a bit more glue the other place and we give it a dab of this stuff it's actually going pretty quickly [Music] [Applause] [Music] our filler primer is dry to two layers of it put it on nice and heavy to fill in any of those remaining scratches and now I just have some 200 grit and I'm sanding that down and I think that'll be enough filling and sanding Band-Aid someone stabbed himself in the finger trying to sand a small wire the wire stabbed me in the finger I stab myself in the finger with a wire it's not the wire's fault got everything sanded to where I want it hit it with a Scotch Brite pad pretty happy with how it turned out and now it's time to prime it for the final paint got some wax remover here grease and wax remover just giving it a wipe down getting rid of the final bit of dust that's in there and any of my greasy finger juices that are all over this helmet but it's looking really good and I'm so stoked to start painting it I'm using this fine surface primer this is usually for models but it's really nice stuff it should look great on our helmet and all the tiny little pieces that we have oh yeah it's a good stuff well some time has passed since we did the priming we got this helmet printed by Joel Joel the 3D printing nerd printed this on the form 3L and two pieces this is Britney's helmet here and it turned out awesome and it's made in this durable resin or hopefully hopefully it'll be a really good strong print I ended up skipping town for a few days I went to Silicon Adams Avenue silicon I had a whole bunch of fun there I do declare you can tell the antennas on top are tuned to a certain frequency Ted is safe secure sexy so Brent you took over on the helmet and did a ton of work I did I got to clean up our number two helmet and this one is for me it's a little bit smaller what was the percentage that you scale it down four or six percent something like that yeah because I have a very small head circumference size and bill has like an Excel size head I took the two halves of the helmet that Joel printed for us and ripped out all the support material that stuff is not joking it's a tough resin oh yeah it was pretty hard I had to use some big Snips to tear out all the supports I then used your registration marks uh for the middle bits to sandwich them together evenly I'd use bamboo skewers uh the resin print warped a little bit along the seam line uh but I just filled that in with Bondo and it looks totally fine then I did the whole process of sanding like Bill did with the fdm print helmet I used the orbital sander then went up in the Grits did the filler primer and then the fine surface primer to get it up to the stage of our other helmet then you did some painting I did I mixed up a yellow orange which is kind of the color scheme of the satisfactory characters I use the golden paints for that the golden acrylics through the airbrush it took quite a few layers the first layer didn't really go down well at all but subsequent layers made it look better and then on top of that I did some dry brushing I used some gold acrylic just dry brushed on with a chip brush and then some yellow to try and bring back more of the yellow the orange was really trying to take over then I got to do some masking I used all of your fancy masking tapes the uh that vinyl thin vinyl masking tape that you can bend around curves that's how I did all the stripy do bits so I did the blue stripes on the side masked all of those off and then sprayed on just a Tamiya blue just the base blue color you already had was awesome like it looked perfect that's a nice blue I made some little tape stencils for the triangle Parts on the top they were also blue and I sprayed those all at the same time then the front part where the visor connects has uh like a silver ring and then uh like a almost a black ring around it but I remember you saying you wanted gunman metal for that which is like it's a darker silver but it's not just black it adds so much more interest to the piece so I did some masking and hand painting to get all of those on there the cages I spray painted silver as well as the ear pucks and the little small vent pieces in the front those all got silver the antennas got the gunmetal and I didn't clear coat it I like the way it looks on its own and I don't think it really needs it hopefully that brings us up to speed I'm back from Silicon my voice is kind of recovering should be uh hopefully good to go in like two days when we fly out to Dragon Con we have a ton more work to do to finish these up but I'm getting really excited because we can start assembly is this one your helmet or my helmet should be mine okay oh yeah it's a little big on me that's pretty big well I'm going to go back behind the camera I'm going to start putting her helmets together I'm so excited sorry I was just stroking this wonderful paint job that Britney did time to install the visor this is the store-bought visor we got the color is perfect uh it actually has these like sunglasses looking thing and a nose thing so you can wear it like a pair of sunglasses very neat I won't be using any of that in fact I will be getting rid of those foreign one made it into the recycling one made it in the trash not bad nose piece comes off there we go I'll place this in there and trace it before I cut it but first cover it in tape I'll cut it a little bigger than this so there's a lip for it to glue down to [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] if you have a band saw you can do this sort of thing with a cutoff wheel on a rotary tool oh that looks so pretty here we go we have a really good fit and that looks awesome the way it is but I want to add a little little something else the visors in the game have this cool hexagon pattern on it I've already added it to this helmet this is just clear vinyl that I cut out with my vinyl cutter I've got another sheet right here oh that's really good [Laughter] now I gotta try and stretch this over the visor uh it's a little tricky so I'll just spend a while like kind of stretching it I couldn't get that one to not pucker completely but we can get it to look pretty good all right I'm gonna trim the extra I'm almost done here we'll get rid of some of this excess and see if I can get it a little flatter on there uh and this doesn't inhibit the vision very much either which is a huge bonus gets placed put a little something in there to protect it and then use a one two three block to hold it down and then we're going to hot glue that socket right in place there we go it's cooled a little bit it's not going anywhere we'll let that finish doing its thing we can start doing the cheeks going to trace a little pattern for my cheek do that just like the visor I'm offsetting the edge a little bit so I have a little bit of something to grab onto the glue that's our pattern the cheeks have a cool mesh that goes in there and I purchased this on Amazon it seems like it's about the right aperture size covered in tape first and then I'll trace my patterns on but the tape will help when you cut this little pieces will fly off and this helps keep everything in order while you're cutting it I'm going to cut these out with some tin snips here you can probably use a cut off wheel too this seems to work really well so the tape's holding out of these little little bitty bits here that'll stab you if you're not careful oh yeah it should fit right in there oh yeah another great use for that one two three block let's get a little more weight on it another good option if you can't find this stainless steel meshes to get this plastic mesh this is used for cross stitching and whatnot super useful for a ton of stuff you can see Brit used some of it on sweeping right here and I think we still have like eight sheets left um I cut out there's a there's a part for the chin I cut that out too how good does it look Brad okay let's glue everything else on up next are some LEDs there are two lights on the helmet here and I have holes to each on either side for these tiny little LEDs those are gonna go through there and out until they're just flush and then we can just hot glue them in place for the inside I cut a tiny little piece of this sort of milky white acrylic plastic and that's going to be the diffuser for this light and we'll just hold that in with a little bit of super glue and that will uh turn those two dots of light into one little rectangle of light that looks nice and diffused I'm writing the lights and eventually the fan off of Just Three AAA batteries I like to go with common batteries these are even rechargeable because if I ran out of batteries at the con I could replace them by buying some at CVS and that's just the right voltage I need let's do a little light test and Light oh yeah see that's what we want right there nice and diffused here's the fan it sucks air in through this side and it blows it out over here So the plan is for it to pull air in through the cheek and then blast it on the visor to prevent fogging and then I have these M3 screws that should work really well to hold it onto the cage hmm there we go let's throw the other one through there I actually bought these fans for when I was riding the third foamsmith book all about helmets I have a whole section about adding Motors and fans and lights to helmets there we go cool wiring everything up in parallel because that's how I roll and the LEDs and the fan are all going to run off of those AAA batteries which should be nice and simple should be we have the power fan works lights work I'm a happy guy battery case is going to go right there I'm just gonna hot glue it down I sanded this a whole bunch ahead of time so it's got some tooth for all this goopy glue don't cover that screw hole that looks good and we're going to go down the side as well everything is good to go I'll put some padding in there to kind of hold the wires down got this one inch upholstery foam this will be the padding for the inside of the helmet this is what I always use on helmets I have a ton of it I just happen to have some red because red is so stylish and now I hold it for a while the foam insulates so it keeps it hot for a while so many days until DragonCon we leave in about 15 hours you got those we'll be fine well that tricky part's all done next I just need to glue a bunch of tiny little bits and other 3D printed pieces down to the helmet this is this is rapidly getting exciting we're we're at the assembly phase everything's painted it's time to glue these little pieces here I just cut out a black styrene mm-hmm these little bits go in here nice and snug come on what can't one two three blocks do I hashtag not sponsored foreign nice and snug oh yeah for the ear Puck here I'm just going to use super glue for the detail part right there actually let's put a little kicker on that so it just dries right away and this goes at an angle just about like that I mix up a two-part epoxy this is a super fast instant epoxy it cures in about two minutes I'm gonna brush it down on the helmet but I'm also going to put super glue around the edge to sort of clamp it while it's curing and on the edge and I'm going to put a little accelerant around the edge as well hope we get it perfect on the first try and the super glue will hold it while the epoxy the stronger epoxy cures some of these other parts are going to be attached with screws and the screws will go through but they don't attach flush so I'm going to cut these little rings out of an aluminum tube to act as a spacer to make my little spacers I've got this aluminum tube that's just the right diameter I set up a stop so I could cut them all the same length there we go one spacer that goes like that spacer goes on it there we go and then we can put a nut on the other side we'll just go all the way around there's a whole bunch of connections like that I can sneak under there there we go awesome click nice beautiful let's put the sticker on it I'll stick I cut out the Fix-It logo on my vinyl cutter with just some white adhesive vinyl here we all very carefully place that on by eye oh no you stay there that looks legit next up is this brim same thing with these uh spacers spacers spacers and now try and make all these fit in there going all right finally we have this big weird complicated cage piece and it sort of noodles its way around everything and it gets attached the same way with screws now that all those screws are done I can hot glue the rest of this foam in this is going to actually go over some of the screw heads here and there we go time for the last step just a little bit of weathering also there are antennas these will go in here we're going to leave those not attached we're going to attach them when we get to Dragon Con because it's likely they will break in our luggage so those will be done separately for the weathering just got some acrylic paints here and some water just going to do a nice dark wash I think a big old mess oh yeah that'll be just fine making a mess Bob Ross no why'd you add the house a little Farmhouse it was so pretty before just a happy little accidents oh that looks nice I forgive you Bob Ross you do best all along and just like that it's two weeks later and we finished the costumes and went to Dragon Con it was so much fun oh it was the best a bit of a Sprint right there at the end but we got it across the finish line and it was a ton of fun dressing up again with you at Dragon gone and we filmed there so at the end of this video our Beauty shots will show off us and our costumes at Dragon Con so make sure to stay tuned for that right lots of dancing too the helmets worked great uh they covered our faces perfectly we wore a balaclava underneath it so we actually had a mask on which was super helpful uh the visor's so good you can see quite well out of these and the fan that I put in here actually made it cooler on the floor than just wearing my normal hat which turned into a sweaty mess and it didn't fog up or anything not at all my vision was pretty good even with that vinyl hex pattern it was really terrific I am so proud proud of how these turned out we're going to put the files for these on our website totally for free both the larger version for my Noggin or the smaller one for Brits if you want to download and print your own we'll have a link to this visor as well we got those off of Amazon so you can buy the same visor and plug it right into your print the Pioneers in satisfactory have these kind of overall jumpsuits that they wear and that was my task for the rest of the costume and I went with more of a simplified version there's so much detail in these jumpsuits and Sony took way longer than I thought it would so I just kind of did the bare minimum so I don't have any complete patterns available for you guys but I would recommend probably getting pre-made overalls that fit you and then adding a zipper down the front so you're supposed to be like the zipper thing the upper part is a different piece of fabric so you don't need like the sleeves or anything but I made mine from scratch because I'm a crazy person and I started with a digital pattern that kind of worked out and once I got that pattern printed out I then transferred it to muslin fabric which is 100 cotton usually very cheap fabric that you can pre-build your whole outfit in I mean it's like what we do in foam you can pre-make the entire form if you want and then tear it apart and use that as a pattern to transfer that pattern to to Bill since we're different sizes I took some of his clothes and took my patterns and scaled them differently then also transferred that to the scrap fabric so that bill could try it on and that's where the modification stage is a lot of modifying and tweaking to get it to fit our different shapes for the final fabric I bought some Denim and khaki color and then I just transferred the patterns right over had to do very little modifying most of the stitching I used a flat felled seam which looks like you're sewing your outfit kind of like inside out what you do is you Stitch your two pieces of fabric together open those up open the inseam up and cut one of them shorter then you fold the other inseam over kind of tuck it under and sew that closed and it kind of hides all the seams from the outside and there's not on the inside the upper part of the jumpsuit I used the same fabric but I dyed it kind of an orange Marigold I got both of those kinds of dies and mixed them together ended up being a little more orange than I wanted but turned out pretty well I just used a normal zipper for the front I think I got 18 inch long ones I probably should have gotten like 22 or 24 inch long they ended up being a little short still could get in and out of the costume the pockets worked great by the way you can hold my phone and wallet and all sorts of goodies look at that nothing fancy just Googled how to make pockets and then kind of made my own system for that just big enough to hold our cell phones and there's some little pockets on the back these are denim rivets and they are designed to rivet into the costume my fabric was too thick for the rivets we got so these are glued on I only use one of the sides but they look nice and it was with super glue and all of them stayed on I did sand them beforehand so I think they're on there forever this is reflective tape we got two different kinds you can buy this pattern with the gray and the yellow together but it's usually like two inches wide so we bought some of the yellow and some of the silver cut the silver taped it on top of the yellow low and this just added a nice touch to the costume I'm glad we included this detail it looks so legit especially with the weathering around it yeah Bill did the weathering uh it's all weathering powders all our Browns and blacks and it was just a quick last minute pass some of this weathering happened at Dragon Con some genuine stains has a has a smell if I was going to revisit this again I would add more details to the front there's even supposed to be more patterns and things on here of just layered fabric more interesting stitching but these are totally wearable and worked great the pioneers wear these backpack harnesses and again I did simplified versions of them just used mannequin torso took some strips of paper in the thicknesses of the nylon webmin I was going to use laid them all out and then transferred that to the different thicknesses of nylon webbing and buckles and just there's just two Buckles in the front to snap together and there's nothing on the back in the game there's supposed to be this big attachment for a rocket pack and I didn't make a rocket pack so I didn't make the back thing it would have just been foam and it would have been really hot and no one ever looks at your back exactly these did also get some weathering powders too and the buckles got sanded and dry brushed with silver so they're not quite as flat except that one I added that one later a thousand didn't get painted and the rest of the costume was purchased the undersuits the long sleeve ones are just athletic clothing that has a pattern on it they're a little bit darker in color than I wanted but they worked totally fine and they're moisture wicking and really comfy to wear the boots are purchased on Etsy you can buy brand new boots online but they can be pretty expensive so these are bills these ones with shipping came to twenty dollars and they look perfect yeah we were looking for the tall like calf height boots not just ankle ones but the calf ones that come all the way on the back because they're supposed to be these decorative kind of metal strips that go across them which I made last minute on a foam and I just put elastic on them and they're really hard to get on and off and if I was going to remake these I would do a velcro enclosure so I could just strap them around instead of having to put them over the top these were awesome though they were pre-worn in and very comfortable yeah make sure you have good insoles in your con shoes if you can fit them then the knee pads were also purchased that was last minute decision I was going to make the knee pads from scratch on the Wednesday before we flew out on Thursday morning but in a fit of desperation I ran to the hardware store and bought the closest looking knee pads I could find and quickly painted them and I'll tell you what I think they look great and the amount of effort was perfect and the gloves were also purchased these are two sizes I got the small and Bill got the medium and those fit us perfectly the only modification I did was there was a rubber logo right here that was in bright white and was really distracting so I just chopped that off but the rest of the details I really liked it's almost like glove manufacturers who make Hardware type gloves uh got inspiration from video games because they look all sci-fi yeah it looks like a Destiny Titan yeah and I can use my phone with uh with these two fingers and that worked awesome we wanted to have at least one prop so we 3D printed the fix it mug that you carry around in the game when you're surveying your factory this was a 3D print based on the 3D model from the game but you can buy official mugs we have one upstairs in our coffee cabinet now we didn't get it until after Dragon Con but if you go to lizard doggo.com they have the mugs in two different sizes the bigger one I think is pretty equivalent to this size this got pretty beat up at the convention I didn't even really clear coat it again done the day before we left you can see all the wear marks and the scratches but this is going to live in the shop now because I would not drink out of this and that is it the full recap of our satisfactory costumes it was a bit of a Sprint at the end like I said but it was very satisfying to pull it off please stick around to see all the footage you've got at DragonCon it was so much fun this year we got to see all our friends I had to dance a lot we got to plan our costumes a whole bunch it's been three years since we got to do that and it felt so good to be back thank you so much
