Our Fields Are Flooded.

you're probably wondering what I'm up to now I'll show you Zach is out running around our cck bottom Edge right now seeding it all down so I'm going to run this little unit on it and this thing it's kind of heavy so it's going to pack that ground down to try to hold that seed and when you pack it down it seems like Grass Grows quicker through like pack down ground don't know why but so we're going to run this unit on there get it h so we're going to jump in the little Case tractor right now everything figured out here underneath the seat here's a little button somewhere it makes my seat go up with air come on little seat I think we're ready to go who what happened who what's the deal W come on wo that's got a mind of its own what is the world being going on there I have no clue what's going on I haven't ran this thing for a few years you know when I was pumping up my seat hold on I'll be right back I think I forgot my phone in the shop and if the boys call me I won't have my phone lately it seems like lately it seems like we kind of run over to this job then run over another job I've been running around cemeteries lately now we're trying to get this bottom stuff seated along the cek talking some rain and we thought let's get it growing we just would like to try to hopefully we don't get hard rain so we can get this ground started so we have a nice flat PL field if you want to say I think Cooper he's coming down the road you probably can't see him but he's on his little Ranger he just went to get some more grass seed oats that way if Zach needs more seed Cooper can fill him up right away so here comes Cooper so there goes Cooper he's off and about keeping everybody going we'll start packing the old ground and one little side Hill here it ain't very big but Cooper's a little nervous of us taking this tractor ah smash my finger of us taken this tractor out there without the DU on it but we'll look at it if it seems too steep we will switch tractors when Zach's done but I would think we'll be okay well we got here boys let's see what we got oh jeez but what we're doing we're just trying oh I better stay away from that edge of the cek I don't want to fall in there too bad but we got all this reshaped recaned up I shouldn't say reshaped we got it there had a big Edge on it so when the rain would come it went go down to the creek it would follow the high bank and stay in our field and it was kind of washing out in our field so we're trying to protect that [Music] woke up middle of the night getting heavy rains we picked up almost 3 in of rain overnight so it took our Creek out and this is what we're looking at right now but normally this Creek I don't know if you can see it over there or not probably not because the trees but normally this Creek will drop fairly fast so if we can get the water off of the ground fairly quickly normally the crop will continue growing there's beans in this field so it's just hard to say right now they're little but we'll just hope that the water goes down quick and we'll be okay I feel kind of guilty I'm working on the skid loader not really working on it but I'm doing maintenance work on it oils and stuff like that well I just dropped the oil you Yes Man pulled in and was gabbing to him and he says well last night to back up the story we picked up like 2.8 in of rain and a few days before that a couple inches we were kind of flooding outside this morning a lot of big pedals our Creek came out pretty high and stuff but I thought well it's yucky today let's service the skid loader get it all greased up change the filters and blah blah blah I should be an opera singer but anyhow I got the oil out of it changing oil filter and UPS man pulls in it's talking to him and he goes yeah they're talking maybe up to 70 to 100 mph winds later yet this afternoon I had heard any of that so I hope it's wrong but I'm thinking skid loader I need to get the oil in it get that done because if something like that happens the little skid loader is like a bulldozzer I want to be able to get around not have a building laying on it and I can't use my skid loader oh ah just gotu my knee to do my old plug shoot I don't know I in my oil plug great sometimes have you done that before you're cleaning something up like here I was just wiping the oil plug UPS man pulled in and sometimes you jump up and then you forget where you put stuff oh boy this little Burger holds like 3 and 1/2 gallons of oil so I don't know about you guys but I was reading the book like on this little skid loer hold three and2 gallons of oil they re recommend going 500 hours before changing oil I don't know I just I guess I'm from the old school we've always changed that oil around 150 hours 175 hours and I think I'm going to keep that I actually have 176 hours on this skid loader right now the older mechanics they like yeah you need to be changing out of oil 150 hours you know they've been around a lot of Motors they got a lot of knowledge they see what things look like with dirty oil me and Nava and the kids we are kind of watching there's like a a front coming across which could have hail bad winds uh lightning thunder rain tornado tornadoes so we are kind of on alert Nava actually has a bag packed for the kids look there's my husband he's coming and here comes Cole so we're going to lock the door so he can stay out side in Texas how the weather is no is something we are paying close attention to is weather I show you what it's doing out here she's starting to pick up pretty good now it's getting dark you can see we've had some bad well it's come down a lot but we had oh shoot we are getting hail now so we might be heading back in the house so we don't ow we don't get bonked like I just did we got watch dog we got everybody we're getting a little bit of hail got wack or something what's that got whack or something yeah piece of hail got me I think it was hail hi but anyhow is something a guy has to pay really really good attention on weather because it can get nasty quick and you don't want to get caught with your socks down you got all this money and stuff into the crops it's just uh it's heart sinking standing here watching not knowing how things are going to come out you can see it's like little Toros floating across out there Toros Tor whatever they're called you can see the tree out there starting to whip around literally out there the whole time I laun here I don't know why I think stes are so beautiful they're just so beautiful look at the trees holy smokes wow look at the trees oh things are falling off of them oh I think the birds just got yeah I wonder if we should start getting rid move that way wow the birds just got out of the tree we are going to head to the basement just to be careful and you's see I'll get any [Music] so pull me some gim be make it strong and Tall push me
