Our Econoline Van Conversion

my name is rex that's my fiance kinsey and this is maverick maverick's a 2004 ford e250 with 43 000 miles but before maverick looked this good we got to go back to the very beginning oh my goodness oh it's currently like 150 degrees in here yeah look at our sticker board my head says jim my heart says tacos and we got two new stickers about to put on get lost and that today marks the first day that we start working it's day two of working on the van it's day three of working on the van day five on the vampire day seven and i'm currently taking off the rest of these staples it's day eight working on the van this is day nine i didn't really film today she filmed some all right guys just got the floor finished looking pretty clean because guys i'm taking a break but i honestly have no idea what i'm doing i don't even know if it's right but it's looking good i'm not gonna lie [Music] all right guys this is the van tour this video has been all over the place but i'm b-roll with y'all i we just recently started working two jobs like we're working two jobs right now trying to make this dream come true quicker i'm trying to pay this van off so then we can save off a crap ton of money and start traveling and making youtube videos i really wanted to be a cinematic video but the more time i take on this video the longer i'm pushing back other videos and i just really need to focus on getting this man paid off and i was really stressing myself out this video and i was like putting it off and putting it off because like i didn't have time to film and i wanted to be perfect but i'm going to go ahead and film because i really want to show you guys this thing i'm really excited and we've worked really hard on it and it's just so exciting all right guys start with the outside uh we painted in bed liner i saw a video where these people painted in bed liner and it prevents like rust and it's really durable so we went with this bro blue color we're kind of regretting out a little bit not really as i it's just because it's pretty noticeable that we are sleeping in it but it's okay it looks cool it looks really cool we got two 100 watt solar panels on top from renegy and a max air fan uh it's the one that vents out it doesn't fit in because the vent and was way more expensive i still got to get this stuff off right here this is the cab it's nothing special but we got a leopard print steering wheel a hula girl we still got to make a thing in the back to hang these up on we have some fuzzy dice and a little koala all right starting out on all the door uh panels uh we picked up some fabric from hobby lobby a little like wood some people put wood right here in their vans but i was trying to make this a lot as possible so i use this fabric that look like wicks i thought it looked pretty cool and on the windows we have blacked out reflective all the way around and this door right here this actually broke like halfway through the van build so i have to get my multi-tool hold down right here pull out and push this in and kenzie flips the lever and that opens the door to get to our water supply and then coming up in here starting out with water supply um we have a sink combo sink faucet combo it was like 125 bucks it's not the swivel sink like everyone gets but it was cheap and are fairly cheap and i just got it coming down here i believe these are five gallon each they like military grade they look pretty cool i got them at lowe's and there's a little fire extinguisher down there and we had to bungee cord these in because they were wobbling and i wanted to snap off and hit this and break it and then we got a little foot pump right here and for our cabinet drawers and doors we got these leather pulleys from amazon so if we bump into it it doesn't hurt and also i trimmed this with a jigsaw and we actually painted it before i trimmed it we had already got everything in here so i just trimmed it i colored it over with a sharpie um these are our drawers this is where we store our napkin and not on napkins but like our cups and bowls and all that they're nine inches deep so pretty good room and then we got these little locks right here so we're driving they don't come out and fly out and then this is where we're going to store our food right now we got some junk in it that we got to get out so our countertop was actually our desk in our room and we had to drew on it so we wanted to reuse it so we drew some more stuff on it kenzie drew this and uh she drew the map and and the yoda and the cross and all that and um this was supposed to be white actually uh we want it to match the cabinet doors um it's like a smoky whitish color but when i put the um what's it called epoxy or whatever it's called you put on for like when it gets wet doesn't mess it up when i put it on it turned to yellow and i knew after i was gonna put two coats on it as soon as i put the second coat on it now it's like this weird t-stain yellow it doesn't really bother me i'm just going to go ahead and hit the cabinet doors and drawer doors but kenzie said she didn't want to do that so we just kept it separate it was a lot easier to do it that way anyways this is our little spice rack kinsey made it's got everything we normally use on a daily basis and then our little fruit hammock back here and our little paper towel holder and she holds it with a claw clip which is actually pretty cool um these are baskets these actually have toilet paper in them uh and some spare pictures that we still gotta put up and then we got this little sign her grandmother gave her which is cool and then we got the uh some pictures we took and then turning around above our bed we have these little picture boards that kenzie hung up they look cool and then up top we okay so i saw this in another van build and i thought it was the coolest thing ever and i'm a pretty big fan of the rainforest cafe and a lot of people hate on it but i think it's cool as crap so we got foliage and we actually hot glued to the back of this and i knew it wasn't going to hold a lot of it's still kind of coming out but we just don't touch it and it stays and i drilled it up in there so it like smooshed it between like a sandwich and held pretty good so far and then this basket has a bunch of random junk in it and we're gonna make some friendship bracelets and it has like a little white switch from harbor freight in case we run out of battery i also got this sick thing i actually got it the other day at walmart so we shredding on it pretty dope but uh was pretty cool it's actually hot wheels hot wheels actually makes uh many skateboard stuff now this is stuff that we gotta hang up and put up uh this is like a little light she got me and there's some star wars stuff in there this is our fridge it's a boujee rv i don't remember how much it costed but it was pretty affordable uh we were actually intending on hanging our pots and pans back there in that pretty much wasted space right now we're going to do something to fix it but it's literally just an open piece of the cabinet that's just not being used but we're gonna hang them back there but then it didn't work it's a little fridge um it's nice it keeps everything cold that's tattoo cream i didn't want it to melt so i put it in there underneath it we store a broom and that's where our carbon monoxide detector goes but i don't have it right now in there it's in that drawer because it started going on that off while we're going down the road uh coming back here it's pretty cool uh i hung up this lantern i just wanted to hang it up because i thought it looked cool even though it completely covers this picture that kenzie made y'all might see him on tik tok it's like where you meet under the stars uh the location i thought that was cool so we hung it up there and there's actually two holes behind that in the wall that we didn't patch so we just hung them up over it um this is like a book thing and this little rechargeable fan and we're gonna put a cabinet right here that's actually we're gonna hang the skateboards uh we just don't have it in here yet and our toilet is gonna sit right here this is uh we have not used this yet actually but it's for number one only i don't really know how to use it up here we store blankets and stuff uh and then this one is the sheets and oh this is cool we have these little lights back here i love those um and then our bed so our bed was like the biggest thing i wanted to be able to lay out and i'm pretty tall as you can tell like yeah so i wouldn't be able to lay out long so it did end up taking a lot of space up but basically we flip this switch over here like that it flips down and come over here and flip this lift up on the cushion and it lifts up and slides out it's a lot easier with two people and then this cushion you take and you throw it right here and it makes up like a almost a queen size bed so it actually gives us a lot of room yeah a lot easier with two people and then lock it back so it doesn't come out when you're going down the road because it's always suck underneath we have some books but that's actually not supposed to be in there i just uh didn't putting them finding the space form up there this actually our clothes are gonna go in here and in this cabinet that's going to go over here that we're going to still build uh this is our laundry hamper back here this is actually really cool conveniently it comes with these hooks and they hung perfectly on the door panel and it just we just stuck with it because it was easy and we got this map right here that kenzie put up really cool we're gonna like pin it uh all the places we go also we got um matching pillow with curtains and it went the two-tone couch because i thought it looked really cool i don't know why but i really like this fabric but it was like thirty dollars a roll and this fabric was probably like twenty dollars a roll so we were like we're going to get this one for the back piece because it would look cool with it being two-tone anyways also up here um i stored our books and her sketchbooks and a box she made me that's where like all my cool stuff is like knickknacks and stuff um i still gotta stain this up here and probably end up doing that like sometime this week and then that's our max air fan it's turned on right now trying to air out because it's like 100 degrees in here coming around to the back this is where our electrical is hooked up at it is a lithium 100 amp hour battery and 1 000 watt inverter and we got a converter because we made hookup we actually drilled a hole right here and if you come onto the van come on to the van it actually has this little bitty outdoor plug that you can flip down and that's how we hook up so that's pretty cool and this marks the beginning of maverick we're moving into maverick probably next week and i'm about to bleed the brakes because we had to put on a new caliper a new rotor on both sides because once i seized up and we were broke down for like an hour and a half on our way to vacation so very exciting um i thank you guys for supporting this and
