you guys are going to love this ordinary ford e350 this is a 2008 40 350 stealth camper van um and wait till you see the inside we're gonna do a quick walk around on the outside and then get right into the inside and all the bits and pieces which makes this probably one of the nicest 40 350 camper vans there is so let's do it so real subtle added a 20 inch light bar in the front this is wired to the factory high beam switch so you just flip the high beams on and then the the light bar comes on everything else is factory up in the front engine's factory put on the general grabber all-terrain tire so we we went as big as we could possibly go without having to do a lift kit so i have space all the way around there's no rubbing so there's a 265 75 16 tire so it's almost 32 inches and it's beefy tire looks awesome and i think it's gonna do really well we got a a matching spare tire to go along with the other four and this is a tire carrier i got off of amazon that actually i stripped apart refabricated to accommodate the heavier and bigger tire and i'll talk about this in a minute the reason i had to refab this was one i was worried about the extra weight of this tire and a potential failure of the tire carrier and then two when the door opens because the tire is larger it would hit the light and you would not actually be able to open the door so i solved both problems i got the tire out you can open the door fully and it's well supported where i'm not worried about this cheap tire carrier braking moving along added a backup camera and this also functions when the car is off so you can flip a switch and actually see who's behind the vehicle did a funny video of that i might include it right here so let's say you're hanging out in the van and it's a sketchy parking lot you hear a noise out back but you don't want to open the doors you don't want to go outside so what do you do you go up to the stereo you click on rear camera and oh man look at that guy then you'll know to hightail it out of there or not active monitoring system anyway uh moving on we have the shore power hookup so this is basically uh your standard 15 amp this goes directly into a noco battery charger that's mounted inside it's a 10 amp no co so if he gets to a house or campground that has shore power he can plug in i don't think he's going to need it but it's always there that is basically it for the outside cleaned up the outside painted a couple things but other than that didn't build anything on the outside so now what we're going to do is we're going to go top down i actually already covered the bottom because we talked about the tires so with the top i added three 100 watt solar panels and a roof air vent fan so right now what we're going to do is i'm going to take the camera and i'm going to climb up and show you all the wiring up top and then we're going to head inside all right so this is the the solar system that i came up with so we have three 100 watt rich solar panels again off of amazon i'll have the link down in the description below um we have the vent fan we have the cable gland this basically you know your power your your positive and negative come in through this hole here um and then basically the other two panels so 300 watts yeah on sunny days i've gotten as much as 15 amps charging from these solar panels and by by around noon every single day the battery is charged so pretty awesome system and that's basically it on the outside so let's take a look at the inside all right so now that we're done with the outside of the van let's get to the the business part which is the inside obviously stealth camper the whole intent was to make it so it didn't look like a camper from the outside but as soon as you open the doors it gives you a bit of a different look to it so starting out you're going to notice the bar and i used to be a bartender i was a manager i was in the night nightclub and restaurant business for 25 years so i thought what cooler thing to have a bar plus my buddy who bought the van i knew he'd appreciate it so we got a bar full bar um moving on over here this is a this is the outdoor table uh so basically this is the same material uh inch and a half cutting board uh material as the countertop so basically you can use this to make cocktails or to you can put the outdoor grill and cook outside if you want or make it as a prep surface moving on here this is actually where the water system everything is tucked away in here and i got enough room where it actually fits this arctic uh cooler or you can actually have tools here and let's before we get to the water underneath this is the actu is is his tools so you have the jack some just generic hand tools in here hidden away and then with the water system it's all quick connect so these these have stop valves on them so i can actually take this out and it's not going to leak all over so this is seven gallons of fresh water and then i have a seven gallon drain tank so everything when turn the sink on there we go so basically seven gallons of fresh water seven gallon drain water when this is empty then you empty out your drain tank and then refill your fresh really easy system and just love how it came out here this is a marine uh instant on water pump so you have your pre-strainer so if the water comes in from here goes through the strainer through the pump up into this up into the faucet and then this is a uh like a bar style sink again off of amazon basically everything in the build was either from local home depot or from amazon so i'll make sure and put links in the description of all the different items um in case you are wondering where like i got these connectors and stuff like that so that's basically it for this section then moving on here we have the vinyl wood flooring with the aluminum edge trim to protect the edges and then this is the this could be the desk uh this could you could actually eat dinner here prep food cook whatever you want to do and i actually installed this swivel seat so this is the front passenger seat this swivels completely around makes a great call this the captain's chair because you can just sit here you know put your laptop um put a drink have dinner whatever it's really comfortable gives you a nice open view of the van and this this is on just these quick uh support table supports so i believe those are about 16 inch supports and this is about 22 inches overall length you almost have five feet of counter space so nearly 60 inches of counter space and then moving on we have the this is a 40 liter drawer style fridge which has plenty of room for beverages food and all kinds of stuff in here right now and this is a fridge or freezer so you can actually set this and we'll freeze everything or keep it to fridge and it works great because it's right next to the captain's chair um quick access and you know if you have sodas or cold waters while you're driving you can grab those okay so next thing i want to cover is the electronics and this the main control panel so this has everything you need to run the electricity of the system so right now it's pretty dark in here so we're going to turn the lights on and put those give you a little more light um so we have the four main switches so you have the lights the stereo um the fridge and the water system then next to it we have a 12 volt and then four usbs here is some circuit breaker so uh the the charger this is the main circuit breaker this is the inverter circuit breaker then all your fuses and then over here this turns the inverter on so then we can power um you know coffee maker blender power laptop whatever you need to do and then above that is an awesome battery uh monitor which tells you a bunch of different things so right now it's showing that that the van is 99.6 um if i hit this middle one it's showing that i'm losing point about point one three amps and now it's actually um so it's barely discharging anything and then when the it's a very cloudy day today so otherwise i'd have i'd actually be producing power um and then so you have your percentage you have your amps in or out so you can see when the sun kicks it'll it'll actually charge a bit and then it'll show you the voltage of the battery so really nice uh battery meter and then here's your two main disconnects and basic one will disconnect the there's three ways the battery is getting charged in the system it's getting charged with a dc to dc charger that's connected directly to the the starting battery um which also controls the solar input so that's the second method and then the shore power is the third method so essentially what these will do in the event of anything you if if you want to disconnect the electrical from the van you pull the bottom one if you want to disconnect all the electrical that i did you pull the top one and that will literally shut the whole system down um so great everything works awesome and just really i just i love the look this was inspired from several guys down in australia they do amazing work uh come to mind pro touring concepts um andrew st pierre white ronnie dahl um a lot of those guys just do really awesome builds so this was my inspiration of having the actual fuses out having the circuit breakers out um and have having a semi exposed um and actually let me just while i'm talking about that so this is the the wiring in the back so i try to also do this as as if i was you know a car stereo installer just super super clean super tight install and i should give everything marine grade heat shrink and about a million zip ties holding everything together so that and then continuing on from the uh switch panel everything is down here so this is the meat and potatoes of the whole electrical system so we have the redarc bc to dc 1225d which i said controls uh your solar input and also the charge coming from the the vehicle then this is a 100 amp hour lithium battery we actually have a digital safe and then this is a pure sine wave inverter 1200 watt and then back here is the noco um 10 amp onboard charger so everything's all nice and tight in there custom battery tray and tucks away all right so we're back on the driver's side of the vehicle now so i already showed you the fridge right above the fridge um this design is similar to what i did above the main storage so this actually is a handle so a handle or you can put a duffel bag here and then when you're driving around your bag is not going to go flying all over you can actually tie it to this if you need to or use it as a handle um that rest right there there's a magnetic catch and the idea behind this is this is the the catch-all drawer uh this could be kitchen stuff um you can keep your laptop in here and i also made an opening here so you could actually charge your devices with the lid down so the wiring would basically go right through this hole here and there's the factory cubby is still accessible here um so here's you've got uh your two 110 outlets on this side usb ports and then the factory cigarette uh 12 volt port there there's actually a speaker tucked there you can actually still hear it left for that but overall this came out great all right cool so yeah so the idea behind the control panel the kitchen is you know it's a small space you can't stand up in this van obviously um and for reference i'm 6'2 and i have i can almost sit completely straight up but it's very comfortable to sit like this i could actually i could prepare something here i can grab food i can use this as a prep surface so the idea is that you can move around without the need to stand up in the van so if it's crappy weather outside you can get stuff done so anyway moving moving on from this stuff uh this is the the vent fan so this thing has both uh in and out so i can switch it to suck air out or reverse it and blow air back in it's not automatic um but it's 12 volt very efficient works great um and then we have um the side windows on both sides open so you get nice cross ventilation um with this so you can keep this cracked even in the rain and have air flow which is very nice now moving on we have the drawer system so this van is actually the first full van i've done um and this is subsequently also going to be the launch of drawer systems.com so this is the this is my masterpiece right here so let me walk you through each one of these um so this this can fit obviously this uh butane or propane stove so the idea behind it is that you could keep your stove here you can cook you can cook outside whatever you got to do and that'll store back in the three top are just like locker style um cabinets and they go all the way back i actually contoured this to fit the the window because the van slopes back and it it's curved top to bottom so you get maximum space there's a half inch of insulation foam insulation board behind the storage uh that's covered in black felt so it just looks black and from the outside it's totally blacked out which is awesome and the way i did the wiring there's no worry about anything bothering the wires because it's all there's so many zip ties holding it um he could stack his jackets or towels or whatever needed uh as actually speaking of towels the idea behind this is you could put towels or sheets or whatever up top bulky items and then coming down we have a massive uh this this drawer is like 14 inches by 14 inches so this could be your you could put pots pans anything big in here um tall cereal boxes things things of that nature um or large sized um that was the idea behind this drawer and then you you have just three small drawers i'm figuring you know clothes t-shirts underwear socks stuff like just bits and pieces like that another drawer matches these i already showed you the electronics drawer which works great and then down here this actually comes off and this unhooks and we have the porta potty so this whole thing was built well this this section was built to fit this particular porta potty so this is a thetford this is the smallest one that i could find you see it's brand new and it's just enough room to tuck in there and then you put your bungee across and then this latch is back on and good to go all right one thing i i almost forgot to mention with the vent fan so this vent fan i cut the obviously i had to cut a hole out in the roof to get this vent fan to work but the catch is that this van was a 12 passenger van so this has factory air conditioning and heating running in this this channel here all the way and it goes all the way down there so i did not want to lose the ability to have air conditioning and heat back here so what i did is i took the entire headliner out and i actually cut i cut the ac ducting here and then i sealed it off with the material that i used to cut it so it's actually all sealed so basically this events here are dummy they're just there non-functional then you have the fan then it terminates here and then these four are still active and they're still fully functional so it'll get super cold back here very quickly or very warm very quickly by running the vehicle so it was critical and then basically ended up making a custom piece to fit and and tie it all together so added the fabric the headliner fabric and uh came out great moving toward the back added a 12-volt fan so in the summertime if it gets hot flip the fan and this will actually oscillate which is pretty nice and so i've custom made a mount to fit a factory hole up top and then wired that in direct so that has its own fuse but it's wired direct so the on switch is actually on the fan itself more storage here we're going to cover that when we go back outside so now i want to focus on the the actual sitting area slash sleeping area alright so moving on to the back this the way i designed this also is it i have less than an inch of clearance probably about a half an inch or so of clearing the door in the bigger tire came out came out awesome very happy with it full lock here um i did custom wood panels on all four of the doors so like i said this door fully opens with that tire so it locks out we added cargo netting here we did cutouts for the speakers i almost forgot to say i also upgraded the entire stereo system so i added all rockford fosgate 5x8 speakers and then i did these cutouts and custom mesh netting on the actual panel so the lock still works and then in the back if you're going to notice we left the bed up if you want to focus down so when the bed is in this position whatever was on the couch or sofa in transit when you set the bed up you have all that for storage underneath so you can put your your duffel bags your jackets whatever underneath the bed so it's just super comfortable to sleep um you have your factory lighting here which is off right now another drawer this could be your we'll call this the garage and then this is the this part was designed specifically for the customer so this drawer the the the customer my friend dana he's actually taking this out west and going skiing for the winter so he needed a place to put his skis so let's you may have to back up for this so this is in my opinion a world's first this is a 90 inch drawer in a ford f-350 no drawer slides so this is is on teflon runners or hdpe plastic runners underneath and then runners along the slide and then the top of this this drawer actually slides all the way back um in this mode you can actually use it as prep surface you can do stuff on it um slide it back you can access your fishing gear i don't have any skis so i had to use fishing poles and you can see this pole this pole has got to be about seven seven foot pole yeah so it's per this this drawer is perfect for any type of activity outdoor activity that has long you know golf clubs [Music] hunting rifles archery fishing skiing snowboarding it's well suited for that and it'll actually come out even further you can see how far this this goes um and then if he goes all the way in it's pressure fit this actually hits here so there's no movement we have heavy duty uh d-ring tie-down points so if you could put a cooler here and tie that down uh you can put another duffel bag same thing over here so we have some camp chairs that are just have uh bungees on them right now we have a hat a little hanging thing you can hang hats there or helmets if you're mountain biking or anything just wanted this super functional and suited for the outdoor active active lifestyle while maintaining while being clean and just very functional that was the idea just wanted everything super functional and clean and that's that's pretty much it well that's the end of the tour guys uh thank you so much for sticking around and watching the entire video my name is chad i'm launching drawersystems.com so if you can
