OnePlus Open - “Real Review” - The Perfect Fold?

yo what's up everybody it's your boy floss back again with another video and today we're going to take a look at the OnePlus open now you can pick this one up online I'll throw the link up in the description the price on this one 1,700 bucks I repeat 1,700 bucks now I know what yall getting ready to say good Lord that's a lot of money but this is a lot of phone okay this is a lot of phone now let me start off by saying this this is not a sponsored video Even though one plus sent me this to review I'm going to give youall my honest opinions and let me give you a quick uh backstory about this phone before we get into the specs now OnePlus had the event a couple of weeks ago I couldn't make it I was out of town but they still sent me the phone I respect that and usually when a company sends me a phone before I unbox it the first thing I do is take it to the specs so this way I know how I'm going to review that phone it's the same way if you go to McDonald's and you order a 99 cent Burger when you're waiting for it to come you not going to be sitting at the table like this okay here we go you already know it's going to be some Burger but when you go to a fancy restaurant okay and you order that lobster tail and you look at the price and it says 75 bucks you sitting at the table like this okay here we go let's get into it so I tried something different with this phone when it came in the mail I did not look at the specs I did not look at the price I was like let me see if I can just judge this let me go into it with an open mind and see if I could just figure out if this is a flagship phone because I didn't know nothing about it so when I opened up the device and I started using it for about a day in my mind I was like this phone is going to cost at least 1,500 bucks this is a certified Flagship right here but wait there's more to the story okay now everything about this phone is screaming premium Flagship the build quality the cameras okay the cameras is right up there with the pixel the displays the speakers the processing power everything about this phone was screaming premium so I'm loved it now it's about 6:00 I got to get ready to go to dinner cuz I'm a fat ass that's what I do and I looked at the battery in the phone and it was at 30% and then I looked over on my table there's a wireless charger and I was like ah my heart sank I was like oh tell me OnePlus didn't leave out wireless charging so I took the phone put it on the wireless charger no Wireless charge so I was a little bit disappointed and I was like you know what maybe the price will drop down to 1,200 bucks because there's no Wireless charge then I plugged it in now remember it's about 6:00 the phone batter is about 30% so I plugged it in I said I'm going to do my 30 minute charge test and usually what I do with that is I don't care what the percentage is on a phone I just let it charge for 30 minutes and see what it looks like now this phone was at 30% after 30 minutes it was at 100% so that means that the battery charging speeds minimum 45 Watts but probably more so that kind of eased my little uh concern I had had with a no Wireless charge but again this is a premium flagship phone okay I love it let's take it to the specs now this phone comes in two different colors you got Emerald dust which is the green and Voyager black which is black okay for the outer display you got a 6.31 in 2K ltpo AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1116 by 2484 that is 431 for the PP Patrol the phone is ipx4 Splash resistant you got the ceramic guard on the outside they say that's 20% stronger than our Gorilla Glass victus you got up to 2800 nits brightness and a 120 HZ refresh rate now for the main display once you open it up that one is 7.82 in also ltpo uh AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2268 by 2440 that is 426 for the PPI Patrol it also goes up to 2,800 nits brightness and you got a 120 HZ refresh rate for the processor you got the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 generation 2 with the adrenal 740 GPU now what does that mean in English Flagship specs bro Flagship specs now you got 16 gigs of RAM okay and 512 gigs of storage no micro SD card slot for expandable memory now on the side note that's part of the reason why you paying 1,700 bucks because it only comes in 512 gigs uh version worth of storage now it's running Android 13 with color OS 13.2 skin on top for the battery you got a 4,805 mAh battery that features 67 watt or 80 watt fast charge depending on your region and one cl claims you could charge this phone from 1 to 100% in 42 minutes and I believe that for the cameras on the rear you got a triple setup with the hassleblad lenses okay you got a 48 8 megapix wide angle 64 megapix telephoto and another 48 megapix Ultra wideangle lens you can shoot 4K video at 60 frames per second now on the main screen okay that's the outer display you got a 20 megapixel camera and you can shoot 4K 30 frames per second and on the inner display okay I'm sorry I said that wrong the outer display is 32 megapixels the inner display is 20 megapixels but the bottom line is both of those cameras shoot 4K video at 30 frames per second now you got a triple listen to this you got a triple spatial speaker setup okay triple spatial speaker setup say that fast three times okay that supports Adobe Atmos and the speakers sound great you got Bluetooth Wi-Fi NFC always on display face unlock a side mount of fingerprint sensor you got the classic OnePlus alert slider and you got an IR blaster I repeat you got an IR blaster for all of y' banana heads that always keep saying oh why you always talking about Samsung bring back the IR Blaster because you got a lot of other phones like xiaomi okay a lot of phones like apple and now even OnePlus with IR blasters I'm loving it all right so all of that for 1,700 bucks what's missing no full ip68 dust and water resistance like you're going to find on other phones now ipx4 Splash resistant that's going to be good enough for most people but me yall know I'm 30,000 Leagues Under the Sea I need full ip68 dust and water resistance but hey it is what it is there's no expandable memory no 4K 60 frames per second video on either one of the front facing cameras no 8K video on the rear camera no stylist support which throw a little Aster by that because I'm going to show yall something in the settings that might be coming soon but as of right now I couldn't get any of my sty that's multiple styluses sty I couldn't get any of my sty L to work and lastly my biggest gripe no Wireless charge other than that 1,700 bucks this is official tissue and I want to do something I want to throw something else out there also if you buy it from Amazon or Best Buy even OnePlus they got a whole bunch of deals I OnePlus is offering 200 bucks trading for any phone in any condition Amazon is giving you a $200 gift certificate okay so basically let's look at this as 1,500 bucks you're going to have to come out of your pocket for 1,700 but you'll probably recoup that in some kind of way so this is basically 1,500 bucks and I'm going to say it's worth every penny worth every penny now I'm going to try to make this video as quick as I can it's already been about 15 minutes we ain't even open a box yet but y'all already know how to do so grab your popcorn and your th juice and get comfortable all right here we go first things first shout out to White Shoes she got the day off OnePlus open the classic red box now I've been using this for for maybe 2 days so I'll put it back in the Box just so you can see what it's going to look like when you get it once you open it up okay it's now it was it was um my natural reaction was a little bit better but I try to I try to react it again let me let me do a fake reaction I was like oh okay when I opened it up I was like oh okay okay first of all the build quality that's why even without looking at the specs when you hold this in your hand now I didn't really talk about the build quality material because it's not just uh frosted glass and aluminium I don't even know the names of this stuff some Zur zobian I'm not even going to try to pronounce it all right I'm I'm G let MKBHD handle that part right it's some zrobi uh titanium alloy it's a lot of going on with the build quality on this but when you hold it in your hand you're going to know that this is definitely not a OnePlus mid-range phone you're going to know that immediately all right so there's your device now having open the rest of this up let's see um how does this come out okay that just lifts up just like that okay let's all say it together Samsung Google Apple Sony put the charger in the Box this is what we want all right shout out to OnePlus for not jumping on that corny wave still giving up the charges now let's see let's see if they still got the classic OnePlus red cables oh what is this now oh look at this now I didn't even know about this you heard the high voice when you hear the high voice that means that I'm not acting okay I'm not acting you get a nice little case now this is your classic fold style case going to be two parts oh it kind of matches the Emeral green this kind of has a veganish leather feel to it even though pretty sure this is plastic but you never know could be that vegan leather I like that I like that the classic OnePlus cables okay USB a to USB type c of course got your usual books and and after all these years OnePlus is still coming out with the troll stickers some ejection tool okay let's see scan the code to claim your uh welcome benefits I got some new benefits y'all can scan that if y'all want take the benefits what's this the OnePlus red cable Club okay pluck it save it and look this is what I'm talking about this is what I'm talking about now it might not seem like a big deal to a lot of y'all but when you unboxing a phone this is the kind of experience you want you don't just want the phone and a cable or in Sony's uh case just the phone nothing else the phone is a little pamplet this is what you want the charger you want the cable and not just not just a regular case a nice fancy case little OnePlus branding you can tell they put some thought into this and even the cables I even the red cables it's just a very unique presentation I like it okay I like it now back to the OnePlus open I'm going to say this as of right now this is my second favorite foldable device and I would walk around with this in my pocket without a doubt all day every day let me show you my favorite of course the shiai all right the xiaomi mix fold 3 this is still my favorite and let me show you why you see my ideal let me show you what my ideal fold would look like let me grab another phone this is what my ideal fold would look like this on the outside basically your standard Galaxy s23 ra 5 gangster Alpha Omega Supreme AKA collect this 2.0 standard Big Frame like this or even like this you know just a a big wide outer display my my ideal fold would look just like this okay it would be just like this maybe a little bit thinner but when you unfold it it would look just like this it would look like you got two regular phones together then you fold them up put them in your pocket this way when you're using your outer display there's no compromise at all a lot of these foldable devices you got some compromise like with the Galaxy fold you're gonna have to compromise because you're getting this narrow outer display so that's some compromise with the pixel a little bit more compromised because it's a little bit shorter look at the the difference in the length look at the difference so you're taking a compromise in the length Okay xiaomi is the closest this fold right here is the closest to my ideal design of a fold but right after that is OnePlus now the OnePlus if you look closely it's only a little bit shorter it's only a little bit shorter and it's basically let's pull this one out it's almost the same width now it's a little bit less girth is not girth it's a little bit less wiy it's a little bit less wiy but this is the phone right here that I and this is this is just going by my let me say that again this is going by my personal opinion my personal uh interaction with this phone I was easily and I mean easily able to use this outer display type in all right let's go to go to comments let's see um leave a comment on something look at the keyboard I was easily able to type on this keyboard I didn't have to unfold it unless I really wanted to unfold it this phone right here so this will be my number one will be xiaomi this will be number two easily then after that number three I'm going to go with the Galaxy the galaxy has the best software all right everything is optimized for this fold and you got your S Pen you got Wireless charge ip68 Samsung Dex you got everything you got everything except an IR blaster which the xiaomi does then after that I'm going to go with the pixel now here's the difference between the pixel and the OnePlus okay you can see that it's a lot the pixel has the perfect WID I don't know why that word makes me laugh the pixel has the perfect width but I don't like the height I don't like the height so this is kind of like in between the pixel and the Galaxy but still not the xiaomi like you see the xiaomi look at the outer display on the xiaomi let's see it looks like the it looks like the OnePlus might be a little bit wider or if not the same width depending on the borders but again this is just this is just my personal fold ranking now with that being said let's take it over to the let's take it to the scales adjus this real quick let's check the weight on these big boys right here now one quick side note remember I was doing the iPhones if y'all watch my iPhone review I forgot that I had a temper glass screen protector and camera lens protection so it did add a couple of extra grams okay so if you got an iPhone 15 Pro Max with a temper glass screen protector and camera lens protection you're looking at 233 G okay that's kind of Hefty now for the OnePlus open 251 okay now there's nothing on this no is it it's a little Factory screen protector okay so what was that okay 250 let's let's call it 251 let's see the pixel fold 290 the pixel fold 290 yeah this is a big boy but I do got a screen protor on here too so keep that in mind Galaxy 261 okay let's see xiaomi 267 okay so all of these phones you know let's do this one more time 250 so basically if you can carry this in your pocket you can carry this because this is one of the biggest arguments just for Fun's sake let's grab this uh Galaxy oh look hold up see the scales adjust us make sure okay zero Galaxy 233 one of the arguments that a lot of people come to me with is like oh you know I like these new foldable devices but uh you know I I don't want to carry that big heavy fold in my pocket it's only a few more grams right if you could carry this or you could carry this especially this with a case on it then you can carry this okay now let me pause the video real quick set up my uh Wi-Fi delete my browsing history and then we'll walk through the OS Talk Amongst yourselves all right so one quick side note as I'm putting the box back together I just noticed it does also come with an OTG okay so this is usba a to USB type-c in the Box all right y so we back in first let's talk about the build quality now yall know I like to make a lot of jokes but I wasn't kidding when I said the build quality on this is incredible check this out now this is right from OnePlus okay now this is that word I couldn't figure out earlier Cobalt M benum alloy and titanium alloy okay so that's kind of crazy right there hold up watch this look at this zonum based amorphous alloy look look like I said like I said go to Jerry rig everything when he does the tear Downs he'll probably break it down better than me but all I can say is it feels so good in the hands ladies you know the procedures the back frosted glass now it's hard to see in the lighting but with this green color it does have this kind of Shimmer to it but no fingerprints I love that okay now this is kind of looks like a luxury watch which has uh OnePlus this is uh said that this is part of the design that camera ring looks so dope there's your LED flash triple camera setup hassleblad lenses okay so you got your hassleblad branding on one side there's your power button also your fingerprint sensor volume up and down okay there's the classic alert slider shout out to OnePlus for keeping that alive on the front here's your 30 3 2 megapixel camera and then when you open it up you got a 20 megap camera now both of these cameras shoot 4K 30 frames per second so the build quality on this phone now check this out as far as the hinge okay now the Hing is also that's that zroni I know I know the hinge super sturdy and when you open this fold it is completely flat I mean super flat this is one of those folds like when you open it it wants to pop up open not like this right here this is one thing I hate about the pixel fold you see like when you open it you have to like kind of push it in if you just unfold it it's going to have it's going to be like this and this is after using it for all of these weeks it still doesn't have that satisfying flip open uh fold open feel like galaxy has it okay when you unfold it bang it's locked into place completely flat same thing with xiaomi when you open this phone has a nice satisfying click sound but this one right here this one has that you heard that sound hold up hold up that sound is epic and when you fold it okay you got a nice little feel look how tight this is this is zero gabage okay you can't see any light between this it is completely flush now let's see the Galaxy can we see any light a little bit a little you see that a little bit of light a little bit of light let's see with one plus look at that you ain't seeing no light that's flush all right that's flush let's see with the pixel the pixel is pretty flush too I'm going keep it a buck is is that a little like n the pixel is pretty flush xia me super flush okay OnePlus man shout out to OnePlus now y'all know yall know me and OnePlus we had a tumultuous relationship over the years because the last OnePlus phone that I had that had my nipples like this was I think it was the OnePlus 8 remember with the with the pop out camera I was like yo this is where one plusus needs to go with the Innovation and then it seems like they just kind of took their foot off the gas the OnePlus 9 10 11 you know they you know it just was it was it even 11 yeah was I think it was 11 yeah well maybe the nine or the 10 either way the nine and the 10 two lackluster phones and I was like okay I'm going to have to hop off OnePlus nuts and hop on to nothing because nothing is coming out with Innovation but shout out to OnePlus man they bringing it back got the alert slider back OnePlus been doing their thing with a lot of the budget phones but now I'm glad that they back into the flagship game I just want to see Wireless charge I don't that you know that's one of my biggest gripes I know a lot of yall think that I make too much of a big a big deal about Wireless charge but when you spend a lot of money and you got all these fancy wireless chargers strategically placed all over your house any room that I'm chilling in there's a wireless charger okay there's no no cables laying around all over the place any room I'm in I want to put my phone down and charge it like this all of the new restaurants got Wireless charges all of the airports Wireless charges everywhere I would like to see Wireless charge but hey it is what it is back to the build quality all right so you got the alert slider there's your speakers on the top and the bottom this is the let me say it correctly triple spatial speaker setup I said it right I had a triple spacal speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos USB type-c charger slot on the bottom there's your SIM tray on the top IR Blaster now I didn't even notice this had an i Blaster until right before this video I said okay now I got to look at the specs when I'm looking at the specs I said hold on a second I Blaster hold up I immediately had to take it let me show you what I did let me open this up real quick a lot of false attempts if you want to know your if your phone has an i Blaster all you have to do is download me remote and if you try to install it and your phone doesn't have an IR Blaster it won't install but if it installs and it opens up and it starts running and you can set up a TV that means you have an IR blaster so shout out to OnePlus IR blaster on Deck so the build quality on this I'm going to start using that word I'm going try not to use this word too much in the video but this is the Supreme build quality okay I love this now you're going to put probably want to use the case let's see how the case looks okay let's see hold up let me do this from behind the camera okay hold up okay make sure it's nice and tight in there and here it is all right let me ex exit out all this hold up cancel let's cancel that okay here's how it looks with the case on it why am I zoomed in So Close here's how it looks with the case on it now with the case it does give it that leather back kind of feel like you're going to find on these Apple phones looks very similar all right you know op on OnePlus you know basically the same company almost it is what it is who seen the Apple defined N3 N3 flip uh fold basically the same phone okay and when you put the case on it it does kind of give it it does kind of give it an easier way to open you see a lot of these folds I took the case off for this video but I usually leave it on some of these folds is it's it's not too easy to open not too easy to open but with this you see with the case on it it gives you an easy separation I could probably oneand this if I wanted to let me try again if I wanted to yeah I can one hand this all day okay dope dope now real one quick side note Sony inzone buds I got them yesterday I was using them I got mixed feelings on those I don't even know if I feel like doing a real review on them but I'll talk about it when I do the RDA test give youall something to think about anyway so the build quality excellent outer display let's open this up now hold up matter of fact I want to show y'all something let me just exit out of all of this stuff my bad y'all you know when you're doing a live video you get the live video struggles okay let me show you the always on display you got the classic let me wipe it down too cuz I know it's pretty annoying seeing all these greasy fingerprints all right you got your always on display now this is the classic color OS always on display the funny thing is on the OnePlus review's guide it says oxygen OS okay but this is clearly color OS and if you go to settings and you go to about oh it's says oxygen no oh it is oxygen Noise Okay let me find that hold on a second I thought this was color o all right check this out oh they was right I said I said color OS it is oxygen OS it is oxygen OS 13.2 all right now if you notice though oxygen o OS and color OS they look the same now that's what even threw me off cuz usually um oxygen OS is more minimalistic color OS look they look the same now you can't tell me you wouldn't have thought this was color os2 all right so I I retracted that statement from the beginning you do have oxygen OS okay but you still got the color OS that I I said that to say this you still got the same color OS always on display y see the little bear okay the notifications on this phone this has one of the best always on displays because the notifications show you the actual icon of each app and different colors just like Samsung not like this you see you see like the you see how you got your all your notifications are white let's see do I got any notifications on my Galaxy um just one you know what let me open this up cuz I I want y'all to see this this this is kind of important stuff that I look for I had to reset this one when I get some notifications on here you'll see though all right let's talk Biometrics OnePlus makes some of the best Biometrics in the game you see that fingerprint sensor on the side hold up now you see look I got this i got this um cut on my thumb so it's kind of acting I try to set my fingerprint sens up correctly look but trust me all right trust me when I tell you the Biometrics are excellent I just don't want to hit that cut look at that here's the Biometrics let's try Face Unlock okay bang look at that all right Google this how Face Unlock supposed to work bang let's do one more bang okay let me close this up let's see if we got any notifications on this okay with the Galaxy same thing you're going to get the color notification I'll wait a minute because eventually I'll get some okay so excellent Biometrics and you also have the same thing if you want to leave your phone open you got the same always on display you see that one banana head who left that comment talking about oh I can't watch this video cuz the phone got too many smudges on it I don't know why I even think about that stupid comment I shouldn't even be thinking about it but it's been stuck in my mind I try to be mindful to everybody's needs okay body's need you this your always on display there's your face unlock okay so you got face unlock from both cameras that's pretty epic so the Biometrics on this phone top of the food chain swipe over there's your Google homepage let's go down you got all your quick toggles okay nearby share you got your wallet power saving mode okay screen recording screencast and if you want to let's go to edit tiles you got a whole bunch more let's see camera access assist the ball Dolby Atmos let's got and add that in there kid space Focus mode Let's see anything we look me remote let's go and add that in there to sound amplifier I'm getting old I need that let's see PC file transfer okay so that's it matter of fact why did I I press reset let's go to settings all right so let's go to settings real quick now I'm going to make this part quick let's see is there anything we need to talk about okay so there's all my Wi-Fi mobile networks dual SIM slots all right if you want to go to Vegas and play the slots mobile data eim let's see Bluetooth okay connections ins sharance vpns private DNS n C Android auto multiscreen connect everything is there okay now for your main screen taskbar split view flexible Windows dual Windows I'll show you all of that in real time as far as wallpapers in style not too many with the live wallpapers uh you know let's see something let's see now this is oxygen OS let's go to color OS real quick you see I should have known because the color os does have a plethora of live wallpapers Okay I should have known that I wasn't even about that is what it is I love this um this wallpaper right here this is my favorite color OSS wallpaper and yeah funny thing is when I read oxygen OS and the spec sheet I was like damn they sent me the wrong spec sheet cuz this is color OS they starting to merge they they starting to merge together anyway so you got some different wallpapers they're always on displays okay now these are classic OnePlus now see that's I'm saying I even look at this I should have known that cuz when you see that that's one plus right there Insight Homeland let's see you got that you got the penguin you see it actually moves that's the fish kind of cute little penguin Little Penguin get cop the little fish right there but I like the big boy the big beer right there you know what I'm saying let's see anything else with you can add your own custom image if you want that's for you're always on displays you can change your fonts your icons change all your color schemes uh you got quick settings change those change the shapes very customizable okay Edge lighting and this was one of my gripes with oxygen OS it just wasn't as customizable I know they was going for more of that minimalist let me say that going for more of that minimalistic design why am I getting Tongue Tied tonight this is why you don't eat them magic Edibles before you shoot a video otherwise this happens anyway but this is one of the things I didn't like about oxygen OS it wasn't that customizable but now with color with the kind of merge between oxygen and color they sharing from each other sharing from each other so you do got some Edge lighting let's see what colors we add red okay not the xiaomi Sparkles but it is what it is change the display size let's see you got your home screen let's raise to awake anything else we need to see nope system navigation display and brightness now these phones nowadays are getting super bright and I'm here for that okay look this is me right now behind the camera look look at my vision is starting to go all right that's what happens when you turn 35 years old like me your vision is starting to go all right so these brighter phones I'm here for that and this phone right here 20 what is it 20 800 2800 nits on both sides that means the front and the inside 2,800 nits let me just make sure CU I don't want to be um quoting correctly yeah 2800 nits on both that's pretty epic okay now of course I'm leaving Minds on Max brightness that is going to hurt your battery life but this phone the battery is already better than the pixel 8 Pro I'm going just go ahead and throw that out there okay so you got screen color mode I got a vivid Pro natural you can make it cool if you you want I'm going to leave it stock let's see um eye comp temperature sleep okay nothing to really see there natural tone display throw that on at nighttime image sharpener turn that on uh video color boost turn that on bright HDR auto rotate screen refresh rate might as well leave it on high you know what I'm saying even though both inside and outside displays are ltpo that means the outer display I think that's 10 to 120 Herz the inside display 1 to 120 htz so minimum hertage to maximum hertage okay so we're going to leave 120 refresh rate sound and vibration okay let's see now this is why to you know even though they say the three spatial speaker setup I don't really like to get involved with all of the company marketing and all that because in the real world who cares what three spatial speaker set you want to know is it louder than the Oppo speakers and they sound the same which is great because these have great speakers also okay so but you do have different uh let's Dolby Atmos okay we're going to make sure that's on you got spatial audio okay you know what I'm saying we got spatial audio we going to play play with that in the minute haptics and tones more let's see what they got under more volume Buton default okay reduce notification feedback notification status part anything we need to see here nope let's see apps all of that privacy now you do have okay your little uh scan right there scan your device if you are shopping on Amazon all day or shopping on eBay all day actually or wish you want to keep scanning your device let's see you got face unlock fingerprint sensor Smart Lock everything on Deck locations nothing to see there safety and emergency let's see special features okay so you got quick return smart sidebar kid space Zen space okay gestures and motions let's see you got some screen off gestures okay so right now I got minees um I I'll leave that zero off but you can have that to open up your camera if you want I'll leave the Via flashlight on on double tap to wake up of course why not and you can add some more okay that's the screen off gestures swipe down with three fingers for the screenshot touching hole with three fingers to take a screenshot too all right I like all that stuff ear gestures now the ear gestures I'm not even going to go into much because it's kind of gimmicky but it does work say if you got your phone on a dock like this and the reason it's kind of counterintuitive is because there's no Wireless charge so the air gesture is really kind of come in good when you got something like this when you got your phone on a wireless charger and you charging it up wirelessly and you're on Instagram and you're going like this to scroll okay but without a wireless charger you probably won't be using a dock like this but you still could though you could but like I said I don't know but you got you got your air gestures if you want you can answer and uh hang up phone calls I really only just use it for scrolling and the one thing I hate is if you go like this and it doesn't scroll that kind of defeats the purpose it's it's it's real sometimey like you don't want to have to be going like this hold up am I in the right area of just go like this with your finger even if you're eating some fried chicken just go like this and then later off later on wipe the grease off but you do got to air gers they there if you want to play with raise to awake I leave that on lift to answer go back to my old videos remember I did the the the Google the Nexus tablet that was 7 in so back in the days 7 in was a tablet so this is basically like having a tablet and a phone in your pocket at the same time look how seamless that transition is this is pretty dope all right so gaming you got the Snapdragon 8 generation 2 no issues at all all right so now let's talk about the camera now this is one of the things that blew me away about this phone the camera the hassleblad lenses you already know what that means but in the real world how does that translate let me tell you my real experience okay last night I'm still testing out the pixel 8 Pro I plan on reviewing that in a couple of days so as I'm taking my nighttime photos I got this phone in one pocket the pixel 8 Pro in my other pocket and I'm taking side by side the same exact photos you're going to see for yourself and honestly some of the photos at night time looked better on the OnePlus than the pixel 8 Pro and that's supposed to be like one of the best Android camera phones this camera right here let's go through the different shooting modes now of course with the Hasselblad you got the classic orange lens you got Pro mode change your white balance shutter speed go crazy you got video okay now from video you can zoom in or go all the way out to let's see what's the maximum zoom on this this is 20 time zoom on video now photos you got wide angle all the way up to look at this 120 times zoom 100 the 20x zoom and yo this pass my zoom test all right this is scumbag Zoom but I'm going to show you what I'm talking about now you got portrait mode and one of the good things is you got different levels of portrait mode you see a lot of phones you only got two levels of portrait mode you got three levels of portrait mode very iPhone is and you got more so you got night mode highr Panorama movie slow motion long exposure dual video front and back time lapse and xan now this is what I want to show you this let me show you my zoom test all right so let me show you how I do the zoom test basically I stand all the way down the block from this school and then I zoom into this little sign and try to see if I can get the best picture of that sign right so when I zoom in you see you can actually read it so if I can read that sign that means the camera has a good zoom so here's the OnePlus okay now this is the best shot I could get you see you can actually read it not the cleanest photo but it's pretty good that's pretty good here's the Galaxy okay now this one and you know it's almost unreadable here's the pixel fold you can definitely read it okay but you see it still has a little bit of that lines to it but I would say the OnePlus definitely looks better than the pixel fold here's the xiaomi okay here's the xiaomi let's zoom in a little bit more you can actually read it of course okay little bit of Noise with the OnePlus here's Oppo okay you see a little bit of noise but just so you can see what a good zoom looks like here's the Galaxy s23 look at the difference you see the you see the words no noise at all from all the way down the block okay so this is the Supreme Zoom but this is how I judge these uh Zoom cameras okay so the OnePlus 125 time zoom that's pretty good you see I got a bunch of photos but again let's see zoom in on your photos all the way up to 120 favorite features the IR Blaster now every time I bring this up somebody says oh a lot of smart TVs you can control from the phone now you got to remember IR blasters are not only for TVs I can control my air conditioner my ceiling fan my projector my portable heater all of my RGB lights basically anything that has a remote control now you can use your phone as a universal remote control that is pretty epic now let me show you how I use mine upstairs in the office all right so I'm sitting up in the office I just finished working now I want to turn off all of my TVs using one phone okay so let's start off with the Samsung TVs just like that another one just like that that now we'll switch over to lgtv press the button just like that and now let's switch over to Sony TV press the button just like that the IR Blaster is so clutch for me this is a major go now let's do the RDA test regular daily activities now you just spent 1,700 bucks in a phone let's see how it works in the real world now usually I will show yall the charging animation but check this out when you plug it in okay you just get that little green lightning at the top no fancy charge animation if you know what I'm talking about this is what I'm this is what I mean by charging animation you see when you plug it in you get a little animation all right let's try xiaomi okay plug it in get a little animation little sound to let you know that it's charging up even with the pixel let's let's try a pixel you get that this kind of this phone was kind of throwing me off because I was wondering if my charger was working cuz every time I plugged it in I'm like okay I don't see anything now you do get a little vibration but I'm like okay where's the animation you got to look at the top you see the green watch I'mma plug it in you see you get that little green I don't know I would like to have seen a fancy charge animation hey it is what it is all right wake up in the morning there's no Wireless charge so you're going to see this cable just like this now you see always on display let me close that up real quick now I got some notifications now these are in white but notifications for different apps do come in different colors okay so without even touching the phone I can see the time date my battery percentage and some notifications and of course a cool little always on display so when I wake up in the morning all I got to do is unplug it I don't have to touch anything just pick it up and look at it bang opens up just like that I don't even have to unfold it yet because the outer display is so big I can actually use it Samsung I would this narrow ass I can't use this I can't use it this out of display I don't have to open up the phone so the first thing I like to do swipe over let's go to Google Now I was just telling y'all about the Sony inzone buds I paid 200 bucks for them they came in mail yesterday I think it's because I'm spoiled I've been using the B Ando gaming headphones the sound quality on those is so incredible when I used these I was like hold up it's it just sounded like loud noise I'm going to do a real thorough testing but it it's hard to go backwards but I will say this I did like having earbuds in my ears gaming okay instead of big headphones because y'all know I like to play fighting games I'm jumping around making noise screaming and yelling sweating okay I be sweating a lot I play a lot of Mortal Kombat that's a sweaty game so these buds they were definitely more comfortable than wearing over the over the a headphones and my girl did say my voice sounded pretty good so the microphone on it do work but 200 bucks that's a little steep but hey like I said I'll do a quick video I'm not going to do a full in-depth review on it but I'll give y'all my overall Impressions and also I just one more thing before I talk about it you got to connect it to the computer and change the EQ settings so we're going to download The inzone Hub this video up overall on a scale of 1 to 10 I'm G the OnePlus open a major major major go real quick let me talk about battery I hold up let me talk about battery real quick see one thing I don't really like to talk about battery unless the battery feels trash to me other than that battery is all subjective okay B basically depending on how you use your phone is how you're going to get battery if the phone is good okay so like me I'm rocking Max brightness on all of these settings you see I still got 75% battery after I already came from the gym I was at the gym at what um what time is it now it's almost 1:00 in the morning I was at the gym at 9:00 8 9:00 okay and I've been and I actually been using this phone so battery life is subjective but for me Max display U Max brightness okay you see Max brightness demons right here Full Throttle all alerts coming in the battery life on this has been great and the Quick Charge okay now we here um I think it's 80 801 Watts everywhere else except Europe which is 20 67 Watts but either way 67 or 80 Watts that's still fast all right that's still fast wireless charging that's still faster than Samsung faster than Apple okay but you know these other companies they blowing it out the water so again I'm going to rank this a triple Major go this is going to be my second favorite foldable device right now I'm saying if you're going to get a fold these are your two choices now people been asking me about the honor fold I'm going to have to check that one out I'm going to have to check check that one out even though my homeboy got it and he was like this kind of buggy and that kind of turned me off with it and the price is a little high for Honor like I don't know if I'm willing to spend that kind of bread on that but I might check it out anyway but as of right now if you live in the USA I don't know if you want to get xiaomi phones because it you know the carriers depending on if you know how to finesse them or not if you live in the USA you got really three good choices you got the Galaxy the pixel and the OnePlus and out of all of these three I would go with the OnePlus immediately I would go with the OnePlus then I might go with the it I I might go with the Galaxy I think I honestly let me see honestly I think I would go with the pixel over the Galaxy only because look a foldable a foldable device has to be able to be used while it's unfolded all right while it's unfolded and folded that's what I meant to say it has to be able to use comfort you got to be able to use this comfortably with one hand okay you don't want to have to feel like you know look at the look look at the difference in the outer displays man come on even if you like Sony phones this is just too narrow and yall know I love Samsung but this ain't it this is not it and I told y'all I said if Samsung comes out with the ZF 5 and it looks like this with this narrow display I'm not buying it and I didn't buy this this is the one that Samsung gave me okay I usually buy my own after that and buy a whole bunch of cases and all that I told y I'm not buying it because I don't I don't like this enough to invest that much into it these two phones I let me losing my trade of thought with the buttons I look these two phones right here I would definitely buy now the pixel has the ultimate wide display but a little bit narrow and a little bit aspect ratio uh glitches and and bugs which I think they're going to fix with Android 14 but we'll see oh one quick side note since we're talking about Google one of the things I don't like about this is how this phone has the tensor G2 and if you pre-ordered this phone depending on on when you pre-ordered a lot of people who pre-ordered still didn't get their pixel fold yet they shipping in late October early November so that means this phone came out with the with the tensor G2 and then a few months later the pixel 8 comes out with the tensor G3 and you could buy that phone faster than you bought a fold that's kind of crazy I that's kind of crazy but now with the OnePlus I'm officially retiring my pixel fold so anybody want to buy this from me it's for sale okay I'm retiring this as of right now these are going to be the two folds that you might see in my pocket but I like the OnePlus but you see the thing is yeah the OnePlus I would say the OnePlus is still my second favorite but you can't go wrong with either one of these anyway this has been the OnePlus open this is a flossy c a film I know I said I'm going to do try to make this as quick as I as I can but it is what it is when you don't got too many friends you end up talking to your your your camera like you really talking to somebody and anyway I'm going to ahead and wrap this up hit me up in the comments let me
