chiseled abs for days got the body and kind of got the attitude - it looks like a Greek sculpture does and says everything right is a champion who's undefeated it's a gold medal winner got a great personality everybody loved it I'm just looking oh my god you are gonna be a superstar he had more belts than anyone and the number one heavyweight in the world when you see him box big and rangy and fluid offensively you speak to him he's charismatic he's smart he's funny buzz I Love You Man I fell in love with you after that please go five star the serious fight I'll say whoa I'll see the spirit yeah the determination let's see ain't nobody defeat now you have a champion world that's everything you want in a heavyweight champion after Joshua is very skillful fighter good jab right hand as I watched him throughout the years I've seen him get better and better develop into that line of all-time great fighter shape he's an adjuster in the ring someone who just has fun guys out there does his job with ease I'm just consistent and I'm dedicated and she's the man kind of a champion I'm the supreme being I'm the greatest fighter God ever blew Erin AJ looked perfect he was like as if you went to a lab and you created a heavyweight champion when I saw this this combination of this Adonis which resembles Apollo Creed I went oh my god [Music] you got a juggernaut start put on these fights huge crowds are selling out they can fill in all the arenas fast so they moved to the stadium you know it does a fight in the Wembley Stadium the massive crowds that he brought out in England man that dwarf Mia dwarfed any fighter that almost ever live [Music] [Applause] [Applause] a punch that will reverberate [Applause] we look at me they keep math with these drawings knocking out everybody he's invincible he had all the ingredients to being one of the great heavyweights and fighting in the u.s. fighting in New York that was an obvious next step in America like the pure machine was just ready to explode when Anthony Joshua decided to come across the pond and defend his title at a legendary arena I said wow he wants to follow in the footsteps of greatness like Muhammad Ali he was 2629 this both dishes get hot dogs be a true the recognized world heavyweight champion you got to make it in America and I was excited he was coming to Madison Square Garden it's the mecca of boxing here you know it's a mecca of boxing the period it's an honor to fight there it's a privilege to fight there there's no better feeling fighting in Madison Square Garden you're the most famous arena in the world this was gonna be his welcome to America it calls a day that's what this was so everyone Anthony Joshua's first fight to be a big deal and they had the perfect opponent in jerel Miller [Music] Miller's a very large sky from Brooklyn area so he got that mean tough-guy image and a very boisterous your mom like a big belly chubby so stop the file I'm yours let's go mama's so ugly she's looking murder metal bro what'd you want to talk about boy fight is really like nothing is no one's talking you have to know who's who talk about his mother threatened his family in this you know the who that got it's not talking funny I with a big mouth people talk like that they try to get you off your game fighters mate boxing what it is and you need these kind of fights you need to find them fights you need the best fight in the best and five weeks to go they'll be less Jerome ela files three drug tests Jerome Miller failing three drug tests was one of the more unintentionally hilarious moments of covering boxing and I've seen guys fail one drug test but to fail not two but three is about as big a fail as you can get you know you take steroids you're cheating when you cheat it all goes away [Music] you really wanted to do a job on Darrell Miller he wanted to take him out and now we're looking for a new opponent you know and at this point it's such a big event both for Joshua Ford to Zone guard has booked the building there was no doubt in my mind for a second that they were gonna get somebody the question was how quickly and who are they gonna get and the guy they chose was Andy Ruiz a man that few people have ever seen fight I never heard of Ruiz before never heard of him don't weigh new batteries he was short a little fat guy from California look like he just rolled up in kids have got some crumbs off his stomach I mean guys is rolled off the couch overweight long torso short legs no offense he looks like the least likely guy just bring this guy in and you know he was just gonna be cannon fodder I knew nothing about him other than YouTube [Applause] and the truth is every time he walked into the ring we all thought that he was just a chubby kid I think I always been the underdog when they seen you they're like and who's this short chubby kid he's gonna get tired really fast I don't think he could last I hit up Betty get her and I was like Eddie come on give me the opportunity I'm ready [Music] andrew is ascending Eddie her indirect messages hey man I'm fighting on Saturday watch my fight and then you know I'm gonna come and knock Anthony Josh around when the heavyweight title [Applause] [Music] [Applause] I like handy where is a person and I think he's got a massive heart physically he don't look the greatest eerie the fact I can't believe I thought even if this guy can box even if Ruiz can be fundamentally sound it's not gonna matter against Anthony Joshua do you have a prediction Joshua's win the fight I mean I don't think anybody's questioning that if it does it in that way over it ends another miraculous knockout of something that'll be like Buster Douglas and Mike Tyson so [Music] the atmosphere Madison Square Garden was electric Bronstein he's got a national hero 10,000 Brits had flown over with his fire it was almost like a coronation ceremony for him yeah hey we came to America we're from heavyweight in the world Dany Sheridan has him a huge favorite 52 one favorite to defend his titles and beat Andy Ruiz jr. [Applause] this is the pinnacle heavyweight championship at the garden this is what Anthony Joshua wanted and this is what Andy Ruiz jr. could barely dream about people just looked at his size and looked at Joshua I said what I look at this guy he's gonna kill this kid didn't he see that he's so inferior than me that's just the mindset of a champion I'm the greatest fighter since the beginning of the dawn just like in the movies like the perfect staredown where one guy is like two heads taller than the other one no one's going oh [ __ ] this could be a good fight and then while you was gone the unsure night you go how can AJ even take this guy seriously this is gonna be one of the most lopsided ass whippings imperialistic history you got Johnson was standing six six and louise barely six three looks like he's 511 or something five five comparing his mountain of a world champion one is like all buffed ripped and the other one is kind of a little bit chubby and looks a little nervous and Josh looks really cool he's really composed and I'm looking around going oh look at the body the body's not looking very chapped like down setting the bail god bless you both [Applause] here we go round number one heavyweight championship of the world Joshua enormous with a huge size advantage can't Ruiz jr. get inside against this longer taller man [Music] would like to do something emphatic here but he also has to box and find his rhythm they weren't throwing any punches they were just trying to calculate their perfect timing distance and power punches Joshua is very versatile he can hurt you with any punch either hands because these guys weren't there score points they were there to knock each other out to come get pasta jab with you jab up and down ready for round number Joshua is able to calmly move forward and measure that jab [Music] it's a 12-round fight so the fights gonna pick up as it goes along as they get more comfortable get more loose more into the groove and that's what happened when we got the round three we win in this fire he's too good for this kid we'll be okay that's how I feel as they sat down on the stool after the second all right right hand right [Music] [Music] round number three Anthony Joshua heavyweight champion of the world coming in here to Madison Square Garden wanting to showcase his skills he is doing that so far the third rounds cause I think that Joshua's feeling pretty good Louise in the white and gold trunks Joshua in the whites with black trim see the punches at least the jabs through two rounds 9 2 3 4 Joshua holy it was supposed to go the guy with a big one I didn't think he would get up and he sort of blinking and he's looking directly at the referee okay yeah I can do this I can do this it was the most amazing thing to watch Ruiz das knees looking at the cross and like what I do he just lost he'd never been that situation before some Nets through combination punches [Music] he looked to me right away he's a hurt fighter think he had a fear I was gonna stop the fight [Applause] you go kay he he fooled around with him for two rounds now the real boxer comes out get up get knocked out fights over just like a few minutes from clearing out your seats and making sure you don't leave your trash behind Anthony Joshua is probably the best finisher in boxing when he smells blood when he has you her it's over more than two minutes to go in this round Anthony Joshua is a composed and ferocious finisher watch this 21 knockouts in 21 wins for Anthony Joshua upon ordering to fight again he ate a think fancy Joshua thought Andy Ruiz would be able to stand up to that assault his clear-eyed the eyes of Michael Griffin Louise okay we're now we're gonna shift to the gear to let's go he was the kind of guy like he has to get here to start to come back respect has changed we're fighting you know we have a fight this might be a long night leave boom with the basic pop pop with a stiff right hand as well and all of a sudden I saw Ruiz using this jab to the body for his right hands to the body he was wearing a Jay down it almost must have looked like it eight arms come right through tremendous and success when you think the coronation is complete Joshua in trouble [Applause] you've conjured everything's cool this body's not responding he can't do nothing bodies he can't control this it's off but he don't know why I'm doing this what its gonna feel he is still on shaky legs Brian 40-plus seconds left in this round these are the most important 40 seconds of Andy reasons career he has a hurt champion in front of them fascinating round three any part of him that is civilized gone now it's funeral ferocity it's the human instinct to destroy but search how you thought this is a you seen Louise's confidence level go through the roof it was ridiculous a fighter first the fighters confidently his punches and if he hurts a guy and the guys go back to quantity said I really want say what shot was it so he's asking what put him down the start of the fourth round aunty Joshua was still hurt Brian he is still on shaky legs Anthony Josh he is not fully recovered from that last round he wasn't throwing anything consequential he wasn't able to keep her wheeze often [Music] Joshua needed to clear his head his balance was not there he was still on wobbly legs this is not my style I'm getting destroyed so it's got to be a really frightening experience for him rohui's definitely looks dangerous now Louise's putting so much pressure on them he wasn't breathing he wasn't in can see the progression on his coming out of the fog he's getting better throughout the round Joshua looking a little steadier here in this round five upon his card that's a hard hook by Joshua things on the outside crying on the inside he's terrified overhand right here pride that's when the pure savagery kicks it and II smelled blood and he smells defeat Joshua looks gasps Bell Pete came flying out of his mouth he spits the bit now like somebody knocked it out he spit it out he indicates that he's a defeated man right now was he good I was looking in his eyes he was struggling with something then you get taya that came really into it now he consciously doing this he wasn't quitting he's looking for more time he's been down four times Joshua turning to his corner he's got to be careful here he turned his back on me I picked up his mouthpiece I don't think in any sense he was quitting the fight he just wanted those seconds but the rules don't allow me to give him those seconds arms on the rope which means he doesn't want to go out there it's like this he's done he's got to stay engaged where is this mouthpiece and what if I didn't wanna fight you start thinking about surviving what am I gonna do and and that's a terrible place to be if you watch that closely and you see Andy in the corner he's reading the same body language he's exhausted he has no wind he's been beaten down in front of all his fans stop this nightmare [Music] Joshua looks so tired we shot the world Oh one of the biggest upsets in heavyweight championship history we believe when the referee did that I photos watching a movie I was just like a little kid in Disneyland like I just might imagine spins true that's a great feeling you know cause you what you said I did I am I am I am me I am a human I am A champion [Music] that's what overcoming adversity resilience is all about the ability to never give up everybody was happy my family all my people you know everybody in the world that saw the fight that's the best thing that ever happened about them that we have a Mexican heavyweight champion I've had very few moments like that was one for the new bike it just wasn't supposed to happen but presumed that this is fair to complete I'm gonna take this guy out now I've wasted enough time with him but he didn't anticipate is Andy Ruiz different beast different animal he's used to guys that big coming after him so he's gonna go up that's perfect I'd be waiting for you who would come into Andy's world and it just takes one punch especially these got a big guys it's almost the ability it's almost like being outside of your body looking at him beat on you there's nothing you can do don't judge a man by the flab on the dams watching him and after the fight I said I'm done working out what's the point he killed all the memberships at all the gyms around the country immediately would he won this fight can we give a round of applause for Andy Ruiz the new heavyweight champion the behavior after the fight was so curious I've never seen that kind of seen his eyes have been lost I think he was in a dream state you just went down in the history books into the second greatest upset in the history and in my mind dug graves he's humbled now he'll either make him a better individual better fight a better person or it might just destroy him trust me no one was hurting inside more than ants in Joshua at night it was killing him drastic after a reason shake his hand congratulations I'll see you in arena [Music] I cannot wait for the second fight because no matter how great of a win it is or was there are so many people who are gonna look back and say oh it's by you know he got lucky [Applause] the fight means to me fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me I won't Just watched this, it was really really well produced with fantastic commentary. It was so cool seeing those alternate angles during the fight. Definitely worth your 40 minutes to get pumped up for the rematch!

Just finished watching it and it was great! I loved all the angles of the fight and all the different commentary especially from Mike Tyson!!!

Mike actually sounds really good. A few years ago, some of his interviews showed him really slurring his words, but he's much better right now so happy for that.

Haven't finished watching yet but it's full of inaccuracies to try and force a certain narrative.

Makes out that Ruiz is a complete nobody, no mention of previous world title contention, reputation for ferocity, hand speed chin etc, just that he was picked as a can to be crushed, rather than the truth that he was chosen because he would be stiff opposition and make a good fight.

When Joshua went down it was said that that was the first time he'd ever been hurt and anyone had done that to him, no mention of the Klitschko fight.

Made out that Joshua was dominating rounds 5-6 and Ruiz wasn't doing anything. In other words Ruiz winning is sold as a lucky punch from the gods and a complete fluke.

I loved it. Some great insights and beautiful storytelling. I think it was definitely slanted in Ruiz’s favour. They could have painted Joshua in a better light. He did everything he could that night, it just didn’t happen for him. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
