hey everybody how's it aloha that last song that i did from infected mushroom um guitar masks um i'm still kind of bouncing i'm reading the comments from some of it it's great it's really fun i you know just because i i have been focusing on the metal and all the sub genres of rock and metal and and bouncing around you know with grunge and then i have that throwback thursday vibe and then the melt your face vibe kind of thing um i am definitely not uh beyond reacting and doing first listens to all kinds of music as a matter of fact when i get back from my break i plan on doing deeper dives into things like you know some jazz some fusion some cultural music you know be it you know things like i live here in hawaii and i might and i'm going to be doing some songs that are you know significant to the hawaiian culture and all kinds of stuff i'm really going to be expanding this channel but home will always be metal and stuff so i know it's not going to be everybody's jam but you know as i move forward on this channel um i just want to i want to give it an organic shake you know if people are digging what i'm saying and bringing to this channel and stuff well why not you know heck i just what the infected mushroom was sure departure from you know metal and any of the subgenres i've been on so anyhow how to disappear completely by radiohead is right here in front of me um i'm excited to do this because i know that a lot of people have suggested this track and uh so let's do it thank you very much for your support sharing the videos all the comments please leave other radiohead songs and comments that you want me to check out you know my channel is not monetized if any advertisement runs copyright claim by the publishers songwriters and the record company they deserve to make their money links below will be there for radiohead discography spotify merch also and all kinds of stuff and if since you already know my channel is not monetized if you see fit and want to buy me a cup of coffee that link will be down there below so let's do this radiohead how to disappear completely all right [Music] so [Music] that's not me [Music] i'll go [Music] [Music] i walk through [Music] a flow down i'm not here this isn't happening [Music] i'm not i'm not in a [Music] i really hate to stop there as a matter of fact i forgot what i was doing for a second that i was doing a first time listen um what a very trippy opening um i mean i was in it i you know i think it's maybe a mood i might be in right now um but there was this really odd dissonant note that was hanging out there for the first minute and a half i guess that had no tonal order if you would in the key of the song that it was started in and what the guitar player is playing you know you you're in a key and stuff and this one note was hanging out there i don't know if it was soundscape um with a tone or something like that but the tone was just really dissonant so it was a very kind of like um if if this is how to disappear in and and the essence was to put you in a in an emotional battle over is this really feeling uncomfortable and then on the total other end of this his voice he has such an ability to sing it such it would seem like such a level that when he when he tails off on his notes very very slight nuance of vibrato going there but very laid back but yet you know i'm not much of a vocalist and but i've done this my whole life as a composer and stuff and i've been around all kinds of vocal coaches and stuff like that and to hang those notes out there and to release you know the oxygen you know pat the air passing through your vocal cords and still hold that note all nice and crispy all the way through without any kind of fall or vocal tag off if you would like it it would resonate off or something like that it's so beautiful man it's so hard but it's so beautiful but it was this it was this fight for me to i'm listening to him and i'm getting and i'm hearing some of the lyrics you know how i am on my first listens and stuff i never listen to lyrics but because truly it's him and the guitar just playing a real straight pattern and the very unique thing was the bass walking around was oh man and but it fought i was fighting for like like where's the significance of the note and then and then when i stopped fighting the note and just let it be a part of the song it it it created this kind of vibe of like okay it's it's it's a part of this it's a part of this journey but it's gotta it's gonna get it's gonna take me somewhere and as it as it did it started to like let itself go and then this little section here that seemed to have just opened up what it just started with i'm just talking about right now i'm getting chicken skin because then it just kind of opened up you know and started to breathe now of course i'm going to now listen to this so i'm going to take it back a little bit uh just so that i can get past get back into this feeling and then get into this other open section here and uh and if it stays like this the whole song i am happy i mean the way this thing is just um making me feel at the moment so i'm gonna go back a little bit and let's let's keep listening to this i'm gonna go back a little more standby [Music] the moon's already passed and i'm not this isn't happening [Music] i'm not [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] strongest [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] yes [Music] [Applause] this isn't happening to stop here again um now it's bloomed into this uh very ethereal ambient um space kind of universal kind of kind of just galactal drifting or you know skyward drifting kind of vibe those long lush string passages have unique clusters in and what i mean by clusters uh being that all my reviews are for the pure listener yay for the pure listener that's you that doesn't know anything about music and stuff but you hear these these these things and and can't quite put words to it so as these long notes that you hear they sound like like long strings right um at their range it's not just one note in the two or three notes you know making it a harmonic arrangement and a cluster smaller cluster is that instead of maybe having wider intervals i can say one note and then the next note might be a fourth up or a fifth up or a third or a seventh or or an octave like a ninth or whatever they're they sound like they're very close together like one two four five and very close grouping of notes that still makes it beautiful but still maintains just slight dissonance in there and and then there was that series on this side of the headset which sounded like it was um keyboard cynthia kind of a vibe and stuff but but what what this exudes to me and makes me feel is i don't know where this is in the discography of this album how to disappear completely there's a visceral feeling that it might be a last track act of an album but i i don't know since i don't know the discography and i think this is only my my second listen to a song to a radiohead so i'm not sure now i've done so many but um also another thing i want to bring up is that listen to the base while this has all kind of got this kind of you know you feel like you're in you're kind of a drift in a boat in a tempo listen to the bass how the bass is walking around and there's really great arrangements in the bass that are kind of sauntering through you know he's staying with the chord changes and stuff but he's moving around and he's got some phrasing that he's doing that it really gives you this even though this is happening you know the base is about here the base is always about here okay and uh and i mean that in a tonal kind of zone but you always feel the bass here at least my mentor val valentin an engineer who's passed away many years ago he taught me something about the bass i'll bring it up one day in a whole nother video but it's the truth about the bass being right about here and that kind of keeps you kind of like into this kind of thing in this journey and even though i'm not listening to the lyrics still um this whole thing is is is um is uh i wanna i wanna it's emotional but it's also releasing it's like how to disappear completely um it feels like i just want to disappear completely and this would be ticket for two please how to disappear completely listen to this song that's the way i feel about it anyhow let me uh finish this up and uh and continue to uh rinse on this this is beautiful [Applause] [Music] i'm not i'm not here [Applause] [Music] man did you see me kind of like get kind of kind of inward like i was i was i was confused a little bit not not sonically though i completely understood what was going on but in that last passage that we just heard um as he's kind of holding that out it's got a lot of reverb on it like you're on this journey it's like it's it's a true have you ever dreamed like you're flying you know had ever had any dreams of flying and stuff like this and what a feeling there's like that feeling where you never want it to end because it's so sick it's so beautiful you know you're flying in your dream but then eventually you wake up that kind of felt like that moment right there like it had me going and had me going and then that arrangement with the with the strings doing what it did there kind of threw itself back into its dissonance kind of like it was almost like oh i gotta wake up from the stream kind of vibe um uh this was this was a fantastic first time listen experience for me because um number one my brain didn't have to work so hard you know how i love to do complicated um technical compositions and polyrhythms and and all that stuff i like to excuse me dive into this i didn't have to sit there and let my brain as as even though i was reacting to this and i am just dissecting it and giving you some of the things uh that i would when i laid on to the pure listener um but because my brain didn't have to work i think i was able to emotionally let my you know third eye purple level kind of just release and fly with it um because there wasn't so much going on that i had to sit there and figure out that i could sit there and just actually rinse with the whole thing and still pull away the the nuances and stuff and um uh i think i think i've been radioheaded it was uh this was a sick track for me to do actually before my my break and it's going to be a track that i'm going to listen to a few times on my break and just kind of you know when i go space out and kind of meditate out a little bit and do the things i want to do i'm definitely going to have to dial this uh into my uh playlist so anyhow thank you guys thank those of you who have been suggesting this to me and have been so persistent thank you for being so persistent i appreciate it um and also i appreciate those of you who are still being persistent and i haven't quite gotten to it and i i wish i could i wish i could do five six of these a day but coming to find out that if i do more than two or three i try it's just i actually get a little overwhelmed and stuff and i and i want to be able to deliver the best that i possibly can without being you know excited to do this and to be this channel thing that we're we're doing together at the same token realizing there's a point of diminished return with my ears at times and plus i'm getting older and you know so um that all being said thank you so much for the support thank you for those of you who thought so worthy as if to buy me a cup of coffee because you know the channel is not monetized molletized molletized cocktail monetized cocktail that link will be below the link for their music and everything will be below the link for my headsets will be below and everything and for you radiohead friends thank you so much for this uh when i get back from my break i'm definitely gonna be tapping into a lot more of this journey uh with you and me together on this so uh thanks a lot and i got one more i'm gonna do one more well actually two but one more of this but the last one is going to be really special just for my subscribers only um type in if you're still here type in i did not disappear alright guys take care all right
