OFFICER SHUT ME DOWN - non-cdl hotshot

i'm gonna have you just uh we got a guy in there just waiting right now so just follow the sign right there he might have you stop on a certain scale might have you back up but probably just have you roll slowly through so okay go ahead and proceed and then just watch that yeah you're 12 000 on the trailer so the funny thing was your trailer has a little bit of a sway in it and then it's so if you look at it it looks like it's overloaded like i don't know maybe it's had something in it before or maybe just the way that it sets but it's got a little bit of sway in it i thought man it must be like super heavy but yeah no you're not sure so i'm gonna do an inspection on you okay that's what i'm that's why i pulled you back here to weigh you i'm doing basically a size weight load inspection okay what's my overall weight so you're you're over you're 26 thousand pounds sixty uh twenty six thousand sixty pounds i had a big lunch yeah uh you might you might have you okay uh do you ever see the album i don't okay yeah i'm non-cdl and it's twelve thousand well yeah i'll talk i'll talk to you about that okay wow that close huh yeah 60 pounds it's like it's like it's like it's a give dead because you're over 20 because you're over that 26 thousand what's my weight what's my weight right now 26 a pound 26 sixty pounds or sixty pounds over and it's yeah i should have gotten out before i rolled over uh that would do it i weighed two fifty jump yeah exactly jump okay so this is oil or i could idle my truck so that's some diesel i mean it's up to you so i'm talking to the boss in there that's what's on the phone with him going hey 60 pounds over um he's like it's got to be so two things you got to lose 60 pounds you got to find somebody with a cdl okay for that for that 60 pounds that's how close that's how close it is and that's why it's pretty important to know what you know what you weigh right wow um yeah i know it 60 pounds it's not that much then again i don't know any garbage in here to throw away uh well you see the blowout in the in the back of my bed so that's that's probably a couple pounds right i mean so probably probably 60 pounds yeah i don't know what to tell you um so i'm gonna give all your information back and that and that can't be like a scale like calibration malfunction no what if i go what if i go off the road and it's less like where's the where's the closest scale um how could i you'd have to find a truck stop with the scale yeah and that's it okay yeah these are these are calibrated skills because of the fact that we do write overweight tickets off of them they got to be calibrated or calibrated all the time okay and there's a certain set so i have to go like if i let's say i get rid of the spare or something i have to go back over or we would if you got rid of weight right now we would we would put you back over it okay see if you can get into that 26 000 pound range okay so yeah uh so oh the other thing i was going to ask you do you carry a medical card yeah of course okay i never asked you when i was up here so do you need it uh yeah i'm just going to take a peek at just uh it's the one other thing that we check so there you go okay perfect 20 21 oh yeah exactly good for two years okay come on so uh yeah so that's where you're that's where you're at so you gotta figure out throw some stuff out can i you guys we have a garbage can it's a plastic garbage can i don't think a spare tire is going to fit into it but uh you can find something to throw out i guess i'll i'll give you that option okay uh i don't know anybody around here do you you can no not necessarily things for you no but i mean i got those moving blankets in the plastic bins you know what i mean i don't really need moving blade because they're 11 bucks to replace so i mean okay all right let me see let me see all thank you officer all right well they say i'm 2 000 pounds overweight oh really yeah i'm 60 pounds overweight 60 yes 6-0 yes [ __ ] so what are they gonna do i'm just thinking it's like you think you think if i if i took off the wheels and tires that are all in my trailer and i rolled them down here and then i went back over the scales and then i would be under 26. you think they would think i'm an idiot for trying to roll them down the road and pull over right after i go through it well they have somebody that could meet you here and put them in a different truck well how much how much how many wheels and tires you got there it's four four wheels oh it's two wheels and tires so those just those they're like 90 pounds each you know a wheel and a tire so they're like 90 pounds [Music] all right i can do that thanks man hey uh i was wondering if you could do a favor sure okay i have two trailer tight wheels and tires and i'm overweight by 60 pounds and i'm out of service until i lose 60 pounds and so i have an option dump 10 pounds of d or 10 gallons of diesel in their parking lot try i need to lose weight somehow and i was and i was just talking to that guy and you guys are overweight by 2 000 pounds but he's like hey just take those two trailer wheels throw them in my pilot car in the pilot car and i was thinking if i could do that and then maybe we just meet up at the exit or something because they're good trailer wheels uh yeah sure can you can you just go by my trailer uh over there yeah by my shoulder [Music] he closed the scale so i can back up now so the scale is closed so i'm going to back up and re-weigh okay so i don't know yeah you could have do you have a cv no sir okay um i guess basically follow us because we'll have to get off the exit right let's just do the next exit uh i can't i'm high-staking like i have to go i have to go to exit 36 36 how far is that what exit are we on now not very far it's law of view okay so you'll just go to 36 right now or you'll wait for me to re-weigh i don't know what they got him doing oh okay so let's see what he says let me let me tie this down again [Music] i'm gonna back up i'm gonna back up 25 800 yep wow so i'll put you under so you're good there okay can i uh can i get like a ticket or something or uh does that violation get removed then or no because you're in violation when you got stopped okay so all right but that's just like him just because he can legalize doesn't mean he wasn't under violation all right sounds good thank you okay uh so uh what we're gonna do is we're he's gonna take them to ups for me and i'm just going to send them where they're going because i'm actually selling them on ebay oh okay so that's not a problem as long as you weren't getting off the next exit and putting them back on the trailer right the the joke i was making is well by then i'd be seven gallons less and so then i'd be over under 26 either way maybe unless you unless it's okay if i drain some diesel in the parking lot here right exactly so then we'll just go to ups okay yeah yeah yeah it's right across from where we're dumping well i'll follow you yeah here let me unload them all ask him and then maybe is there an atm nearby i got to give you some cash right thanks hey i i don't have any cash let's go to the atm don't worry about it come on why no you're good you're wasting your gas yeah are you sure let's go where i'm wasting cnc's guys right there where right oh that's where you guys work yeah oh wow oh wow that's nice hold on let's go to the atm all right let's go to the atm i got to pay at least something no i'm good that's good that's too kind thank you thank you so much i appreciate it have a good one all right so what did i learn from this you know terrible experience i guess uh and first and foremost guys understand that wheels they were for sale on ebay they were my 19.5 inch wheels that i you know no longer needed and i was the plan was to hand deliver them to the buyer that was the plan well and obviously as you can see plants have to change occasionally the second thing is i really wish the officer had a little more empathy you know he could have literally said hey alex here's the thing and out of service i know ruins companies and it makes their safety score really bad so i'm sure that's enough damage for your company i'll just let you go on this 60 pounds man obviously you're gonna lose diesel somewhere just don't fill up the tanks all the way or something like that like it was such an easy thing that he could have done to like and then then this is the issue you know i think this is why people don't like the dot because they're such sticklers and nobody likes a stickler but regardless stickler or not i was overweight at that moment so i should have been more diligent i should have topped off my tanks all the way or something along those lines i should have you know that's my fault and no one's to blame but myself it all starts with me so i take full responsibility for that one uh you know i just wish there was a little bit more uh
