all right hello and and welcome to the webinar everyone thank you for joining us today as we we discuss office 365 migration made easy with sky pick so today we are joined by right partner enablement specialist Andre occurring cough and we're going to just give you a bit of an intro on skype you share with you some details on current promotions and show you how easy it is to get started alright so I will now hand over to Andre to get things moving thanks very much Sunday thanks caring good morning afternoon for those of us Perth and Melbourne Sydney jumping straight into things for those of you not familiar with the right where a cloud first channel first company that means all the solutions that we offer revolve around the cloud don't do any perpetual licensing no on-premise work and we're also channel first company so that means every that we work through through a distribution channel our of channel partners lock yourselves we don't go Excel direct to the market now three pillars of our business there are cloud licensing so that things like Microsoft CSP program sky case that we'll be talking about today blocks entropy and where it's etc and we offer cloud solutions based around things a SharePoint Scott's a business migration through things like crime portal we also offer our cloud operations partner so I work in the strategy and enabler team arrived everything that we aim to do tries to deliver to the police two or three sets for our partners first and foremost is to help increase your revenues through our products and solutions reduce your cost so looking at reducing how we can deliver things quicker at a lower cost and also I'm probably the most important part components of what we do is to help mitigate your risk Scotty here plays a big part of the risk mitigation again we look at delivering at least two of those three things not everything will talk about will directly increase revenue reduce costs and mitigate risk but some things like the mock stocking planner couldn't deliver you risk mitigation and cost reduction and that's allowing you to go in that cell more decreased revenue so jumping straight at the sky get the four components will cover is the migration planner so how do we plan migration and this is probably the most important part one will focus on the most traditionally partners would use consultants or technicians the scope migrations to plan migrations the transformational piece that I love to talk about is having a migration planning done either by your sales team like EPDM into account managers for junior resources it's a really great opportunity when they use a migration planning to upsell your customers from a lower end to higher end product I will briefly touch on the migration synchronization house moves the data from on-premise to the cloud but realistically are probably not a huge focus aware of the time-saving and custom satisfaction really comes in is the sky kick a little sister so this is the post migration piece once someone has moved their data has moved into exchange online and operated five how do we then do a seamless cut over from on-premise into the cloud sitting up there Alex profiles uploading there are five PSD files and so forth with the least impact on the actual end users and also how do we effectively manage all of our migration so quick table here from subscribe with classic we can achieve a reduction of migration time for 25 years mailbox from an average of 40 hours per mailbox after for migration down four hours of actual input when we do migrations whisk like it we spend most of our time and sales and planning speech the migration management setup is all automated that's really where our time-saving comes into it so we put more focus on sales rather than a technical aspects of immigration now that's automated so what is the typical migration project look like the sky kick virtual we start off with the suckage web platter so that's where the partner lucky self would engage the customer directly and do the planet I highly recommend that you start using cited at the pre sales stage so before you even put out a proposal setting the work before you do any discovery when you have the first discussion with your customers about moving to office 365 start the migration plan and Spike it the really important piece I really like to highlight is that synchronization so that's where sky kick will move the data from the mailboxes from on-premise and into office 365 finally is when we do the DNS synchronization cutover and then they stop it Auto consistent will then set up a user profile for office 365 that works in a couple of ways we first install the ELSA systems on the user's devices when Edina is cut over they go to the automatic manual they all persistable then change the profile to point to office365 when the user thousands of downloads and that will then also synchronize all their email back onto their computer well after the any migration to do any planning simply go on to calm hit the login button login with your credentials and you'll be taken to the migration plan and the migration planner gives you an overview that's the status of all of your active migration so here you can see the supreme consultants and actually insurance we have two migrations on the go we can see what stage each fund duration is up to and if there's any problem in this instance given that everything is green everything is on track if we need to drill down and see if there are any issues which expands the migration we can simply do that by clicking on the company name or on the particular stage and that will then take us to an overview page where we can see the status of every mailbox and the migration as a whole so the set up migration we have three project types in the top left-hand corner here we've got X and B and Enterprise project so they're both the same price the difference being the price project they you can't do a cutover migration so when we move everyone from on-premise to the cloud at the same time and you can or you can do a stage migration where you can move users in groups either five business units or whatever watched a lot breakup we have with SMB we have the exact same migration product from psychic the only difference is SMB is we can only do a cutover migration a highly recommend you always do the enterprise projects that cause they both cost the same but you have the choice of doing cutover or stage planning operations is really quite simple I will go through and will show you how to plan one after it quickly now the research so you should really eat can you sales people or junior sir to do this is because it is a great opportunity to upsell your customers and it's a great opportunity to capture all those migration details very early on to the feet in the piece simply we would just come in here and put it in our customers company so we can do right Dillons demos for today we put it as a customer's email address now this email if we're using does not have to be a privileged account throughout a whole planning of the migration we can just use a normal users account fill in some details and most of these details here acure lee for our reference i that if stockist needs to contact you or the customer the support people now we've got a couple promotions from slices we've got the accelerant bundles so when you purchase 12 months of backup you'll actually get the migration free of charge you also have internal user ID to yourself so if you're looking with to move yourself from on-premise into office 365 Schaick it will vibrate out 500 of your mailboxes free of charge and this systems will go with the accelerate bundle and we'll hit Nick now what it's doing is connecting to the source mailbox it's already subscribed a couple of things it's the Skoda registrar's GoDaddy so that will come important further down the track now when we do the DNS planning and it's already picked up that we do Exchange Server 2010 service pack what now the really great thing about psychic is an athlete doesn't matter wolf version of exchange the right as long as we have exchange 2003 that's fear or the full Exchange Server skies it will support the vibrations off the 365 there is no we don't have to do caching or upgrade with Exchange Server to get them to the class salespeople are able to do and you're not having to get your consultants to do the plan it will ask us if we already have office 365 so what we can do to the basis of the demonstration or a normal plan we can just start with no and we can always come back to any of the stages and make adjustments I'll turn his next step and now what's caucus will do is it will connect to the exchange server and using auto discovery you'll find all of the mailboxes both individuals shared distribution lists and this is where I mean you sales people do the migration plan can be incredibly valuable this will just take a moment one of the really one of the things that I've noticed is that people moving into the cloud is that customers often don't really know how many uses how many mailboxes they have as tell me what has to happen on premise when you upgrade from one version to the next version of exchange the very rarely is there a cleanup of their exchanger bar what has to happen is just all of their mailboxes get moved from exchange 2003 to 2007 10 13 16 and all of the old users just come along to the right what we're able to do here is use what's called a keynote so you can come down to a user and this is handy and we can see when we hover over them there's a little cob that pops up we can click on that and this is what it's called fancy mode so here I can quickly and easily choose to decide what to do with the users mailbox in this instance for Andy house we can tell us you know adding hasn't worked here for over 10 years I'm not interested in moving out his mailbox into office 365 paves the migrational pane for a license so coupling can choose to remove this mailbox and to not migrate the data so we hit update will notice that anomie mclean is now grayed out we can choose any light sources Brandie what will help do that for Archer is go with the fancy mode again and in this instance maybe Archer left the organization recently so what we can do is add Archer as an alias to out of Fox so the company can nominate who they want to full pull all the email for Archer in the future let's use Adam and then we can also migrate all of the archers emails to Adams mailbox so in this instance of Adam replace Archer really frequently all Rogers new emails will go to Adam and Adam will have all of archers even potentially while the couple may want to do is actually convert this individual mailbox into a shared mailbox so nap tube is also possible well we'll just use here's an example and what Scotty does is that the bottom here it gives us a tally of the number of licenses that we need to purchase for a particular product so what we do this is where there is a really good awful opportunity is the custom may only want to have exchange online plan one this is an opportunity sale people to incur users basis try and upsell them to hierarchy so potentially maybe even had a thought we can upsell Adam to an e3 license and maybe Alexandra hours to both Alice's to business premium what we'll see here is license code change subscribing tallies the number of licenses of each product that we need to purchase based on a migration plan coming down we can see we're going to have some problems with our migration so I can actively and proactively highlight all the common problems with migration for the cloud in particular shared resources like public folders or shared mailboxes cannot exist on their own in office 365 they need to have I like to see they're attached to little bit different to on-premise I'm from a second X fixes on their own so skyking gives us the problem and more importantly is that the bottom as it gives us the solution this just tells us that we must specify one user for the public for all we do put the little plus here a good friend our Fox is going to have access to this other phone will add to the list and will submit the list and now we'll see that problem disappeared so when we do the migration we're not going to be coming up with against any roadblocks during the migration at the same time we can add additional other folders and they'll be created with wayne of migration occurs clockwise we can add on other mailboxes like shared mailboxes here another great thing you can do is go through a distribution list and clean them up what I tend to find even in our world in our own organization of a right as well as an olive organization I worked with there's a lot of distribution lists quit to be created but they're generally very poorly maintained this is a great time fidelity customer and quickly easily plan what to do maybe we'll here for the finance they might say look you know we don't actually have a lot of people in our client team so you can quickly click on that and review who is in the 5xe the customers when you sit down with them can quickly and easily choose to remove a number of users from that distribution group and add in anyone else they choose they feel is necessary to be in the group so this census we can add an out-of-box add up to the lips so what will happen when we do the migration it will just have Jeff and Adam into this distribution group rather than the previous two level people will submit the list here and he'd go through the planner here it takes up of the one domain that is available for the customer to use on premise is only migrated to office 365 as well as well as we can add an additional emails at this stage and they'll be verified and added to office 365 when a migration we'll go to the next step and this is where we started getting a little bit more technical so if we have our sales people doing the initial stages of migration let's say the counter review they choose what is going to happen to each mailbox and which product is going to be added to each user that may be the only stage in a comfortable so what we can do we can come down here and click Save so later then that will put our migration to the point that we've planned then turn this save tap just to the left hand side here what that enables with students to have a technician or junior consultants back in the office do the rest of the migration plan they don't have to go out on premise to the customer do any do any consulting where anyone so for all the same piece we can jump into staff into our operations and now our technical resources back in the office can continue the plan so this is where they can choose to cut over or a staged migration they can go back at any of the steps at the top and review each section individually as needed they may choose the growing moving 50 mailbox to do a cuddler migration flipping time zone so we have customers in different time zones to where we are we can choose Melbourne and Sydney and here is it will give us a suggested date for the migration we might ignore that and go Friday the 10th of March 5 p.m. is when we want to finish the migration will continue and again if our time line changes we can always come back and change that here here we go so there's a couple of things of stocking support the squatting support Directory password synchronization if we set up servicing and password sync all the users identities username and passwords will be automatically taken from their own premise ad and into the cloud so they won't have to provide their credentials to oxalá GB done the packet and they can see that our mail system is exercise compatible so that decides pretty important in the sense that allows us to do tax free migrations and happy migrations where when we kick off the migration we have the least interaction possible both from our end as well as our customers and their end users so here we can validate that atom box the credentials that we go to the beginning the migration work if I have to validate what it will do is it will connect to our exchange server and it will check the credentials for each and every available so ahead of time it's actually ensuring that we have the correct access before we can mix the migration will will actually see you as soon as it finishes is that a box does not have all the necessary credentials access so can see at the bottom here only one succeeded and 50 to fail so what that means is that atoms don't have necessarily just so we can do one of two things that technical results can then contact the customer and either get into elevators their privileges or give us a new account and the great thing again is that we're able to test this at every step so the demo will just say the customers will provide our end user credentials and here we can choose whether we roll out the else's person off the old assistant is a plugin for our that will do a number of things that we can't do passwords things or use this aside for the credentials but will actually which is a credential from the users and use that to create their mailboxes in the cloud we can either have them download it themselves or we can push it out while loop all of these for an MSI file we'll come down here again this truck that communication cut it will give us a quick little checklist to make sure we've got everything on point and we'll continue with our migration file quick question from Matthew Riley do we need a local administrator arise for installing the Atlas assistance yes you do that's why you would traditionally push that out through group all of you were available now for coming over to planning our team estecado is depending on the Registrar they may have taped your activity to them and this case is GoDaddy all that the user needs to do is provide us our their GoDaddy username and password and so I think we'll add a change all the MX records at Hato we can see here in the top right hand corner disease is zero tax so once we provide the credentials there's nothing else for us to do for the car over now if it's the register other that's not supporters of the customers I want to give up their credentials we can do partially automated so that gives us two taps and an estimate our efforts at two hours so we know ahead of time there is we proceed down this path we need to potentially charge our customer an additional two hours of our labor and effectively what it does is it moves the name servers from our registrar subscribe it Scottie Ozzie and Mack stretchers doesn't cut over and then we move the name servers back to our registrar with a new of X records or if the customer is not happy to do that we can give wrench for accessing our main servers you can do it manually so Scottie will tell you what the next record as and when a dozen went to change them so we'll estimate because I there's eight things for us to do it will take us four hours so here we know to quote our customer an additional four hours of our labor this might be enough in the sweeteners is that a common thing give you the credentials for their registrar or to move the main server and interested saving a little bit of money the demonstration we'll just do a manual still update us and here's week we come through and do a final configuration all power fibration so into standard settings or advanced advanced allows us to do things like force Norfolk a popular exploration Auto delete items and the leaders folder internal archiving for mailboxes over a certain size or email over a certain period of time and we can also add a customer service problem well this isn't it is really simple we expect to find our business hours and it doesn't sound we set are in the same time zone as we do the coil which is Melbourne this is number 9 a.m. at 5 p.m. so if the cutter has really for uploads think we can say off so it's on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Skype equal not migrate in email box at 5:00 p.m. so start migrating mailboxes and at 9:00 a.m. we'll stop we're going to set a separate profile for for the weekend we might want to turn that off but we have our customer only works Monday to Friday so will happen is it 5:00 p.m. will start vibrating it'll keep migrating or with Saturday and Sunday and will stop at 9:00 a.m. on Monday they'll go through that cycle till the next week so if one of thing as well with is it will also self limits but notices is getting timeout errors I will ask you reduce how quickly it migrates the data from all fronts of the cloud and that simply is it just to give the exchange server and not process it out you'll receive emails getting to the print server as well as the uses to use it to exchange while they're working to decorate outside of the low off the cells we can enable our server-side rules to be migrated across and then we can save and export the vibration and here we get a nice little summary of the number of blocks which we need so it freezes with premium 40 71 and 183 so then we know what to quote the customer and then we know what licenses we need to order before we start the migration so at this point we can find the fate of the migration for later we can actually in the very top here export it and it will email you an excel document with everything that you put in to spot it for buying the migration so you can use that and you can go ahead and do the migration with a different tool do it manually through a hybrid either whatever way you want to migrate it up until this point the planning is entirely free of charge we only pay for the migration once we hit next and then that will ask if you sure you want to receive it in migration will just do a confirmation of the migration plan we'll start doing the migration now once the migration is complete we can also then do cloud that up with socket the great thing about in the cloud backup with skyking as it uses API directly from the cosmic tenancy and into the cloud so here we can see it on one customer pending which is our demo here we've got two subscriptions here the great thing about spiking up is the really low part of her mailbox basis but they also provide us unlimited storage but both Exchange SharePoint and onedrive they'll also do a backup of all three products up to six times per day and the data is hosted in Asia in the Australian dollar census to do backup recovery is really quite simple you just select the customer and choose which product you would like to manage in this business we might want to do exchange for regular associates will click on that and here we can see all of the individual uses so we can either search their mails often recover individual email files or we can do bulk restorations of their full mailbox at a given for two times we have six restoration points per day that we can choose from we can recover all of their contacts calendar top notes and 0.so so it's the leading all their email by accident or obviously can corrupt them off the tree sick for any reason we can restore the entire mailbox to a given point in time really really simple and likewise with one driver SharePoint we can recover entire site library folders or we can recover individual files at a different editor editor important time you know we had a couple of questions in terms of pricing and we'll get to that very shortly what I'm going to show you is everything that it's supported so from pop3 IMAP Google's SPF exchange we'll share this one with you soon as the webinars finished the most important thing I can really highlight is fighting works with exchange in SPF 2003 up to exchange 2016 we don't have to do any upgrades hashes rollup updates nothing like that 2003 straight here to office 365 its pricing really simple I can be purchased either on a monthly basis or you can prepay for a year in advance when we prepay for a year in advance its $54 80 Australian which is of the strata up to $55 here which works out to be only $5 40 per user from per month for unlimited Exchange SharePoint onedrive back up its office into either now when you prepay that $64 ated $55 for a year in advance the standard migration cost which is $55 for the first 50 season city $3.00 from co-op board we actually give that for free so moving the customers from on-premise into office 365 with backups or the $55 to backup and you will get the migration free of charge how to get started is incredibly easy if you're still using exchange on-premise multiple as a primary you do get office 365 internal use rights if you subscribe to the action app you get five licenses you're a silver of gold partner or you have certain events certain sales criteria Microsoft will give you additional licenses or opposite five likewise sky kick will give you up to five hundred mailboxes to migrate your own organization into the into office 365 completely free of charge getting started is really simple just jump onto Skype acecomm slash register global so one of the planets has clients on other global hosting wondering if they can use wanting to migrate to office 365 can they use Skype for this a very good question I'm not familiar with it over global I guess I really depend on the on the whole thing that they have do you know arm Brad do they use I'm out pop3 or what's their an email hosting platform yes surface exchange 2010 yes you can migrate them either via IMAP or through the our system can actually do the migration for you so that is a whole set exchange to spike in migration when you register with Skype it there have some really green resources on how to do various types of migration I'll just quickly bring that up here coming from the health center then we'll log it into psychic presenter we will want to do a learning guide nope we're going to migration sweet so they give to the planet for the exchange of life exchange migration and then it will actually walk you through how to do it from a host of exchange which
