Office 2024 vs. Office 2021: What's the Difference & What's New?

today in this video I'm going to talk with you about something which is super exciting guys as we bring you a comparable between office 2021 versus beta version of office 2024 so without further Ado let's get started okay so now here you can see we are in our computer screen and I am actually running VMware so that I can do side by side comparison so in VMware I have inst install this office 2024 that I can you know quickly show you there we go here we can see this is Microsoft Office ltsc Professional Plus 2024 and in my host system here you can see this is Microsoft Office LTS Professional Plus 2021 and if we talk about the version here you can see this is 16.0 do then we have got this 14332 which is latest version of 2021 16 I believe represent the air of launch of this major update or major release so here also we can see the same number exist which means that you know this is not major release and here if we talk about this number which is after zero here it is 14332 here is 17425 here we can see actually it might be representing year 2020 4 now let's open these both application side by side so let me actually start word and there we go let me click on file and then go to account so you can see this is Microsoft Office ltsc Professional Plus however in case of office 2024 here we can see how these both look like so here the first thing we notice is the color scheme so on right hand side in 2024 we can see that we have selected said office theme as white but this looks uh slight gray however on left hand side we can see it looks blue and if I change it to dark gray so dark gray theme color here look almost same and then here if I go to colorful and here as well colorful now also I would say both look slightly different and actually office 2024 I would say look slightly modern than before now let's go back to our main layout so here we can see we have got almost same tabs for example file home insert draw design layout reference mailing review View and help now if we talk about layout of both office 2021 and 2024 we can see you know placement difference of this quick access toolbar in in office 2021 it is actually below our ribbon bar however in case of 2024 we can see how they actually have done some space optimization by adding it directly to this top bar we can also see this modern rounded ribbon bar that is missing with office 2021 now if we talk about our default font it is also different here apos body is my default font however in case of new version caliber body is my default font and let's see how both font look like and let me just copy this and I'm going to paste the same here and let's actually make it slightly bigger 150 and here you can see that the difference between both now if you talk about other stuff here these things almost look same and these are actually add-ins that I have added in 2021 so please ignore these except these add-ons I would say these things are almost same now we can also see the difference in blue color this blue is different than this 2021 blue now if I go to insert tab we again we'll see a very similar icon however here we now can see the space placing and icon refinement is better than before and if we talk about the groups here we can see page group table illustration and then we have got this media and then here we have got this addins which I believe may be shifted somewhere else and then we have got these links comment header and footer text and symbols now let's also see our draw tab and here you can see clear difference between both now here we have got some added tools available for example ruler format background which you can see here do not exist at least at ribbon bar similarly let's move on to design tab which to me looks almost same now let's click on layout it is also almost same so the these are some of notable changes that you can see in between office 2021 and office 2024 and I also saw one thing maybe this is maybe this could be specific to me only I was not able to add any 3D model inside World 2021 however now I can add 3D model inside World file as well as I said it could be only specific to me me now let me again open word so that I can show you that there is no transcribe or speech to text function available in word 2021 as well as in World 2024 now let's move on to excel Excel also just like word here we can see slight difference in theming option now let's start with blank workbook here also we can see clear difference in terms of spacing available among icons apart from that in Excel I was not able to find any major changes maybe after sometime Microsoft itself will launch entire list of new features added in office 2024 one thing for sure Microsoft will not launch any online based feature that is available with Office 365 with this Perpetual variant of office for example you will not get 1 tbte of online space or for example PowerPoint design ideas let me actually show you for that I'm opening both PowerPoint here and in both cases you will not see PowerPoint design ideas option available since both these license are offline variant or onetime purchase variants so overall till now what I saw is office 2024 is more of visual upgrade but I would say as this 2024 variant will mature and proceed from beta version to release version We may expect more features being added to this 2024 that's all guys from my
