I know people who work for RR --> Big Ben has more chance of getting off the ground than this crazy idea.
What I am confused about is how to move the spacecraft. If it is powered by nuclear, thatβs great, but what does the craft leave behind to propel it forward in the vacuum of space?
Although I believe space isnβt completely empty according to string theory
They'd fucking better. I'm not going to travel longer than three months to get to Mars...
Does anybody remember the name of the doc that came out years ago about this? The beginning of the video reminded me of it. It also discussed how they would go about making it livable for humans. Iβve been trying to remember the name for years.
I'm not entirely sure that figure is correct. It was my understanding that at a certain point in orbit (the respective orbits of both planets, in relation to their postion to the sun) you can simply essentially fall into Mars' path.
That would be awesome. When I read about RR going into the nuclear spacecraft engine business, I assumed it was some type of grant hunting vaporware, but maybe not. Would be amazing if they could.
