so let's not waste time let's get right down to business in a Nord pass versus bit Warden 2023 comparison which password manager is the safer option well look no matter which one you go for your password vault is going to be protected with end-to-end encryption and that means no one not even those who work for those companies are going to be able to view your data now bit Warden uses the industry standard AES 256-bit encryption but nordpass happens to use something a little more modern X Cha-Cha 20. yeah it's faster and easier to implement which does result in fewer Technical and human errors however we do need to award a point to bit warden for being open source because that means anyone can review their code for vulnerabilities and Patch it all up and this level of transparency is rare even among the more popular password managers and you know what they deserve the award I can see why because bit Warden has such a dedicated fan base with this more Innovative approach I get it but personally just me I prefer Nord pass and I'll get into why later on so yeah picking one of these password managers based on security it's really going to come down to your personal preferences and I'm sure that you want to make sure that you're getting the cheapest price possible right don't we all so we always update the description with the best possible current deals that we can find so if you want to save a few bucks that's where you want to go all right moving on and in the end look you're the one responsible for the security of your Vault you need to create a strong master password none of that password123 stuff I mean that can be cracked in under a second so I'd also recommend setting up the two-factor authentication as well there are plenty of different Nord pass and bit Warden 2fa options and they are not hard to set up and speaking of creating strong passwords there are some features that make this well more streamlined but when it comes to the basics at least for this bit Warden versus nordpass comparison I found them to be pretty similar both make it easy to import passwords with nordpass you can do it right from the app while bit Warden only has this feature on their web app application but they both work similarly you just need a CSV file with all your data from wherever you stored your stuff previously then both password managers have solid password generator tools I was able to choose the length of my password and whether to include special characters or even just forgo the whole complicated mashups and choose a phrase password option that I could kind of remember Maybe so anyway saving passwords and adding entries is also quite simple with bit Warden I can add all the details and just press save simple effective nordpass has a little more juice in this area actually I can generate passwords while saving a new entry and even attach a file so if I'm doing it on my phone there's also the ability to scan documents and credit cards and make the whole process super quick and easy also and as you might expect each best password manager candidate has solid autofill capabilities with nordpass I usually only have to click once or twice just like that bit Warden Works a little differently so let's say I want to fill this in and since there's no pop-up I have to click the extension first and then choose the info to fill in that's a few more steps than I'd like but you know what does the job alright look if you ask me an essential part of a password manager is being able to securely share passwords sharing was a breeze during my nordpass review plus there weren't any limits as long as the other person also uses the device if they don't well there's a secure note sharing feature on their website the only downside I noticed anyway is that nordpass didn't let me share folders only separate items now during my bit Warden review the sharing process was a bit disappointing even with the premium account I was only able to share Vault items with one other user but at least there's this create and send feature which lets me send encrypted text and messages and files to anyone I want it's not as convenient as sharing an item but it's good for one-time shares now I also want to mention some additional really useful features both providers have password evaluation tools which catch old weak and compromised passwords oh and quick note about that I found data breach Checkers as well but I gotta say that I like the nordpass version a bit more with bitdefender I needed to go to their web version first then add the email that I want to check in the field and then finally it gives you a general rundown of what's going on nordpass automatically checks with all the emails I've saved within the Vault and instantly notifies me about new breaches just feels a little no a lot more convenient useful doesn't it so considering all these features and capabilities which password manager is more worth it well if you're ready to invest in a good password manager bit warden's Premium plan is right now under a dollar per month while Nord passes premium is going to cost a little over dollar but given all the features and the overall convenience that you get I think that's slightly higher price of nordpass makes a lot more sense and sense get it bit Warden is well simple by comparison and with a few more quirks it's no surprise that it cost less so I guess in this case you're gonna have to decide whether you're ready to pay more for convenience or if you just want to save as much as possible and go with the cheaper option and I promise I won't call you Scrooge but you know if pricing is your concern I suggest checking out the special discount that I mentioned earlier hint hint not too nudge now I do gotta say if you're looking to get a password manager for free well then my suggestion would be bitwarded just for the sole reason that it doesn't limit the amount of devices that you can use it on and if logging in and out of a program isn't a problem for you then the Nord pass free plan will also serve you pretty well but just keep in mind that the free versions of both best password manager 2023 options here are gonna hit you with a lot a lot of limits and missing features no emergency contacts no password Checker yada yada yada the list goes on okay so no matter which plan you pick there's one more thing to consider device compatibility and ease of use kind of the same thing really in this case my bit Warden versus Nord pass comparison ended up being well pretty even bit Warden works on all the major platforms plus there's a browser application as well which in functionality is almost identical to the desktop counterpart but as all of the app versions look simple they're also super easy to navigate nordpast is also compatible with all the main types of devices however their browser extension is more in communication with the main app so most of the features I tried to use just directed me straight to the desktop app despite this little Quirk my answer to is nordpass good in terms of ease abuse is still a definite yes look it's designed to be intuitive and beginner friendly and they're not skimping out on any useful features that advanced users really enjoy like adding a file attachment to your password entry love that one okay so before I reveal my final verdict of this nordpass versus bit Warden review if you found this video useful please leave a like And subscribe to the channel for more cyber security content my ego needs it okay now let's sum this whole thing up if you're looking for a simple and cheap password manager bit Warden is a solid choice however nordpass has a few more things up its sleeve I like that they're taking a more modern approach to security and I also also gotta say that their app is a little more convenient in general but hey I want to know your thoughts I'd even love to have a discussion in the comments with you and of course if you're looking to get a password manager do not forget to click on the card on the screen to access those best current deals
