node : The term 'node' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file SOLVED

hi everyone in this video i'll be showing you how  to solve the error the term node is not recognized   as the name of a cmdlet function script file  or operable program so i'm getting this error   when i try to run my node code over here so  to solve this the first thing what you will   do is you need to go to the folder where you have  installed your nodejs so by default the location   is c program files and here you will be having a  folder named as node.js all right so this is the   default location and in case if you aren't able  to find this location what you are doing is you   need to just go to start and search for node.js  and you just click on this open file location and you will be having this node.js icon  over here just right click it and again   press open file location this will be directing  to the folder where node.js has been installed   so once you reach this folder just click on this  path above and you're just going to copy this so   just click ctrl c to copy this path and next  thing just go to search and type environment   variables you will be getting there edit the  system environment variables just click on open   and in this dialog box just click on environmental  variables and here you are going to path you can   go in for user variables or system variables  it's going to be your choice i will go for   system variables just click on this path  over here and click edit and just give new   and paste our path so it C program files node.js  by default and after doing that just click ok   everywhere and now if i just go to my visual  studio code you have to close your visual   studio code alright just restart it again so i  am here after restarting my visual studio code   and if i just now give node my file.js and this  time i will be getting connected and db created   this is because of the console statements  present over here and i hope you have found   this video useful mine is a programming channel  i've done many videos in node.js react js c c   plus plus java python so do check other videos  of my channel subscribe me thanks for watching
