node / npm is not recognized as internal or external command

hi youtube welcome everyone it's me arjun from electronic teacher youtube channel today i am with another video tutorial where we are going to make npm and node.js command globally available if you have already installed node.js on your system or the command are not recognized then you are in right place to solve but if you haven't installed node.js yes then install first from node.js.org that's the official this one is the official site to download according to your operating system or if you have already installed then just follow the instruction after the successful installation of node.js if you are still getting the same problem like let me check the person npm person like this npm is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file or let's try the another one node version the same same error you can see on the screen here definitely if you see such types of errors you are struck with this error message and cannot can't move ahead on your project if you are doing laravel project or react project or any other types of javascript project you can't move forward but don't worry i am gonna show you the easy procedure to solve let's dive right in there try the command like this if you get the same eater and we are going to solve this one i have already installed the node.js on my system open the terminal then try let's check the person npm person look friend i am also facing the same problem over here but i have already installed the node js on my system but i'm getting the same error let me open the computer and on this system drive here i'll show you i have the node there's install here if you open the if you go on the same path on the command line and try definitely it works let me change the path here ct to c drive change to let's return back to the source drive then i'm on the c drive then let's move on the program and files city files and again we need to move to c drive program and files node.js ct node.js and let's check the node also you got a version there npm version as well you can see easily here the npm version 6.13.4 but if you are not then it doesn't so let make it global through where we can access from any project that we are going to develop first open the system drive from this c drive system drive then program and files and node.js just copy this path ctrl c or you can select and copy that from the mouse then right click on the computer icon this is the computer icon or from the control panel you can get it from there as well right click on it properties and the properties from the properties click on advanced system setting tab this option here and from the advanced tab click on this little button environment variables and if you want to make available only for this user then select the path this path from this user variable for particular user from here or for all users select path from the system variables this one here and click on this little edit button and new and paste that we have copied before then okay okay okay now job done then restart your system i have already registered my system i'm back now let me open the command line again okay now let me try nod node person i got it let me go to the c drive city backslash roadstrike and ode node person or npm person beautiful congratulation friend it it's working now hope this is helpful for you if you haven't already please subscribe my channel and hit like and bell icon and if you have any question leave on the comment box below i will answer as soon as possible thank you
