Man, I love this video. I picture them brainstorming ideas for a parental controls video...
"Okay, okay, how do we make a parental controls video, but make it interesting? These can be a little dry"
"Well, what if the video stars some Nintendo characters, interacting with the Switch and its parental controls?"
"Perfect. That can be entertaining and informative. Let's do that. Okay, first thing's first. Out of all of our history of beloved Nintendo characters, let's brainstorm and make a list of all the best parental figures."

"... Bowser?"
smh confusing bowser jr. and baby bowser on a nintendo subreddit
It is a pretty good video
Bowser is a good dad.
If anyone is wondering, the top three are First Look Nintendo Switch, SMO's reveal(?) trailer, and SMO's gameplay trailer.
Oh so thatβs where this is from
While the app is good, I feel like it leaves a lot to be desired. Here are some basic improvements I would like to see in the settings and why:
Time Remaining on the home screen should NOT count against play time This is one of the most frustrating parts of the timer. If I need them to pause it, or it is time to switch turns the timer continues to count against their play time. I'm sure some kid would find a way to abuse this, but it seems like a most basic feature to fix.
Reset the Time Remaining Having two kids means that they have to share the Switch. We set only 30 mins of play time per day and if one of them uses up the timer, the other has to listen to the dinging bell every 5 minutes. So I then either have to turn off the controls, or I have to adjust the amount of play time available per day in the app. Yes I know I can disable alarms, but that is still a band aid.
Set Play Times Per User That way if my son did his homework and earned extra time, I can make that adjustment in the app and let the game do the counting while my daughter would still have her original 30 mins. This would seem to be the best option. And if Son tried to mess with Daughter's playtime (because kids can be malicious), then I would still have an option to reset the timer as mentioned above.
On the whole the app and controls are pretty good. The suspend playtime feature is a must, since the time remaining tends to be forgotten by them. Keep up the good work Nintendo!
Memes have power.
It feels like Bowser in the games and Bowser in the commercials are two different people. Where's the big tough guy who wants to kidnap Peach?
