Nikki Bella Defends 2-Year Engagement With Artem Chigvintsev

i will be getting married and i can't wait nikki bella is setting the record straight on her plans to marry fiance artem shigmansev the couple has been engaged for two years and explained on a special edition of nicki and sister brie bellas the bellas podcast this week that they aren't taking their time to say i do because of any commitment doubts instead they just want to make sure their financial and parenting priorities are straight nicki made headlines for recent comments that she doesn't want her and artem's 19 month old son mateo to experience his parents getting divorced which some interpreted as hesitation on her part to tie the knot at all but the wwe superstar clarified that she and artem are very much looking forward to getting married however in the wake of new parenthood and the covet 19 pandemic there's just no urgency to rush to the altar i love my life with artem in it and i can't imagine art i'm not in my life and i don't want to imagine artem not my life like i truly feel like deep down in my heart like i have found the person that i do want to spend the rest of my life with and i want to get married to him and and this is anyone who got engaged right before a pandemic that none of us saw coming right so it's been tougher and also there are things that artem and i don't talk about like financially like we have so much more going on in our lives that to think for artem and i for the past two years of thinking of putting our money into a wedding it's probably the main reason why we've hesitated nikki added that she and artem have been focused on building a new house that's costing more than they expected and they're putting money aside for mateo's education which has left them skeptical about splurging on a glam wedding celebration at the moment but that doesn't mean the 38 year old hasn't been thinking about her dream nuptials with artem i don't know i feel like i'm always getting questioned about us not being married yet i mean even my nana's like anyways just go with the courthouse i don't understand and i'm like i don't want to get married at a port house i want to get married in paris with a gorgeous couture dress an artem and gorgeous couture tux with brie and like gorgeous couture dress too but black and i wanna look at her smile she's like do i get a sip champagne and have caviar as long as i'm stunning that day that's all that matters the dancing with the stars pro proposed in paris back in november 2019 and nikki gave birth the following summer the total bella star has been busy focusing on her professional life too in addition to judging america's got talent extreme she and bree made their anticipated return to the wwe ring in january's royal rumble and the twins told access dailies mario lopez and kit hoover last month how being new moms impacted the experience is your body my body's so different after all my babies how is it competing with sort of a different body going in oh it's very tough you know buddy is my second one so i warned her i'm like this is your first time going out there as a mom i'm like you're not the nikki bella before you're going to be a new nikki belly you got to find that but she was shocked she was shocked how different is it physically it was a lot different just even the core of it and lifting women again and i was like i'm not as strong as i used to be it's this part of your body it's just not you know it's gone and so um that and mentally it was definitely tough on me too because i was thinking of the girl three years ago and my baby's 18 months and so i'm just still trying to find that new nikki bella and i went out there rocking my old gear like i still got it and i was like i'm a little different even better [Music]
