[Music] hey so today will do a quick breakdown of my last cinematic night watcher and how and what I did over here what was the process behind it and what was uh you know the idea of this whole thing the Cinematic the dialogue how did I generate the dialogues and Etc all right so let's not waste any time let's just get onto it so first of all I had used um 11 um cameras over here so let me get out of it and go to the preview let me introduce you with the character so there are um three main characters tyon this one this is the guy let me get out of um auxiliary light and this is how it is this is how it looks be quite a bit choppy because everything is high quality uh I would suggest you that if you want to work on um cinematics especially on um like um Unreal Engine and iclone uh if you're planning to buy a graphics card I would suggest go for the one with more Rams like I'm using 360 I could have gone for 360 TI but 360 gives 12 GB TI only gives you 8 GB so no your you know what you want to do and how you want to work on it so anyways this is a character ported from uh D Studio into Character Creator and I did some work on the skin to enhance it with um skin genen uh then second there was another character called Melo this one it's like a profit or something it's a I think it's a Marketplace U character I can't remember so I did some work with the beard thing um then um there was um dark blade second character uh it's un hidden right now let me show you yeah this one this is the character this is also a character ported from um death studio with some skin genen stuff and enhancement in on the uh skin as well so yeah and the rest of the characters are from content um Marketplace content like some random Ninja Assassin whatever you call it yeah that's that so anyways uh the idea it's like um what you can see the entirety of the street of Morocco is actually a d Studio environment that's uh that is by ston Mason he had some amazing um environment from a very longer period of time and I am a huge fan of his work so I thought why not why not use it so it goes with the perfect um mood of this uh environment and the Cinematic and these are some uh measure that I downloaded free from sketch Fab uh the sky sky is actually uh let me show you sky is actually on hdri yeah this one this is an hdri from Dash Studio as well um Dimension theory he got some amazing hdri with or without grounds so it will be very much helpful for you I think this is the Gaia pek that I used over here I think uh yeah this is a 4K I could have gone for 8K but it really doesn't matter because it's going to be on depth of field and um it will just going to be the GI source and there's a lot of other light sources that is emitting the light over here to give you the you know with the light and everything so it really doesn't matter that I have go for 8K if you can afford it then sure it wasn't needed for me so I didn't use it so anyways let's get back to the Cinematic let me go there yeah this is a Marketplace horse I think horse and tax this is the name of the item uh of this bundle I don't remember what is it so it's a animate animating on Place uh not rout in place so I had to actually animate this things so it's absolutely just garbage like let me show you how it looks like hold on yeah as you can see absolute garbage and yeah there are some idle animations let me go inside of the horse I mean animation of course so yeah there's some animations that I just you know there you go so uh since this is over here and you don't need to see what's going on down there so it's like um cheating or hacking whatever you call it and yeah that's that uh also there are some cut scenes over here like uh you know a second camera and all these things and mumbo jumbo so here is a thing uh I did some cheat hack over here as well let me show you might be pretty helpful for you in the future if you want to do something like that and you just want wondering what to do and it actually really doesn't matter what you're doing behind the camera like uh this dude is coming down over here and just walking getting past this horse is absolutely weird and all these things but when you see in the switch camera what's happening is camera to cut camera 3 camera four he get get got past that uh horse and you don't have to see it so it's irrelevant and there you go and Camera five and so on and I did some idle animation behind Tyron the character this character the horse keep on getting that's all after that after this cut there is no there are no animation for the horse if I'm not wrong let me let me check it out okay so yeah as you can see after this cut there are no animation for the horse because it's irrelevant you don't need to do it you can do it if you want to if you like so anyways uh that is the end of the horse animation then there's an expression on everything okay the fun fact about expressions and everything uh let me go through Tyron so as you can see Patrol uh idle Dismount I had some animations on horses so I use it over here and look around uh these animations are from 200 um emotions or I don't know I can't remember the name let me check it out Expressions yeah digital Soul so I used a lot of digital Soul I'm using a lot of digital Zone and I'll be using a lot of digital Z in the future it's very helpful like you know you might be wondering okay uh why aren't you using the um moap or you know the face thing that has been released recently I I can do it I will I will do it in the future but it's not necessary in this cinematic over here so that's the whole point when you're are going for metahuman more detailed wrinkles inside the facial and all sorts of things you need those kind of uh realistic uh cinematic uh look or facial expressions over there but this one this is absolutely fine I'm just learning and I'm just uh helping other people to learn a little bit about you know what you can do what you can push the limit of iclone and the rendering engine unfortunately uh realtion isn't uh paying attention or not listening to their um customers that we have been calling for a bit so long that please have a new engine have a new engine oh well that's a that's some different kind of topic that we will talk about sometimes later in the future so anyways um this is tyon animation and this is um dark blade let me go to dark blade yeah so you might be wondering where is she the thing is I actually don't need this character to be be revealed right now uh what when I need I need it right here right here she is still not over there there you go I don't I don't need it I don't need it until this moment then when she reveals you may uh you can see the Assassin is not over there now the Assassin's here then the second uh assassin over here oh sorry the third assassin over here and the last assassin over here you don't need it why I am mostly hiding these things is first of all this one this dude um let me show you this guy actually was hold on see there he is this guy is actually going down from here let me let me show you bit slow yeah there you go see that's weird I know right exactly so it's unnecessary you don't need it until hold on yeah exactly so anyways that that's that's why I had to hide that guy over there and uh yeah so let's talk about the light one of the most important thing on a cinematic the light let let me hide every single light and let me show you what I did and what I didn't yeah Sol also as well that's how it looks without any light and that's how it looks without any IBL or hdri okay so no occlusion as well as you can see it's absolutely flat somewhat I think there are some other light I think it has to do with the GI anchor yeah there you go Peach black absolutely Peach black I always work I start working with absolute Peach black you really need this thing like you signed everything your animation and all these things uh always you can always do on auxiliary light which is very important so you start with zero then you come up with uh you know your this I always use the default 200 then um directional light uh directional light there it is it's coming from as you can see uh let me show you from this direction this direction because the Moonlight is behind it let me show you the Moonlight is way up there way up there moon light is up there so the light source is coming from as you can see yeah there you go the light source is coming from there pretty straightforward wherever your Moonlight is wherever the light source is you need to use it can't somehow point it out but you get the point what I'm what I'm trying to say so anyways uh that's goes my directional light going back to the main camera then I used a second light to give it a little bit of you know mood or something uh as you can see this SL is adding a little bit of um backlight or F whatever you call it combining this two uh it's looking pretty good because without this of very bright it's very bright but you need a little bit light let me show you the settings so 1.48 Darkness 70 soft Shadow no volumetrics uh that's all this one a little bit 4.6 nothing much uh this it has volumetric as as you can see it is it has you know the influence over here soft Shadow a lot of 3.23 all sorts of things so there you go uh let's get on with Spotlight where's the spotlight it's a good question yeah uh we we'll be back with this Spotlight later on let's get on with the point light so here is a point light exactly so it's a lamp so you definitely need light so Point light pretty straightforward um let me show you something as you can see yeah you go there you go it has a little bit of this and that uh I had a reflection yeah without reflection it looks very transparent with Reflections it has you know emitting some sort of Lights here and there and I don't need illumination because it's a class I'm just using this as a source light that's all so yeah anyways um after Point light let's go to soft box so I'm using soft box um me show you in real life this is pretty normal uh but you will get a bit of light because of the infinite bounces all around the earth okay so in order to do that what I did I have this this softbox over here let me get back to softbox uh let me show you unset as dummy so there it is you can you can you can get this on your um I think it's on Prop or it's maybe on you just type soft box and you will get a tons of let's check it I think it's on Prop yeah there you go softbox prop so on in Hollywood or any other indie films and all sorts of things in order to feel a light you need to use an extra light emit so that it doesn't go entirely dark into your characters or into your artist so there you go um Spotlight uh the work of Spotlight let me show you the the spotlight was used over here let me mute the spotlight okay let's check this out spotlights was here see there's a little bit of glare a little bit of reflection over here without this it looks a bit flat and with this and you're getting a little bit of U you know remove object animation because I I had a lot of auto key frames so yeah as you can see uh the reflection wasn't consistent so there goes the light settings and um uh the typical um environment and all sorts of things and let's get on with FX so I will make it quick over here it's not that important because it's a matter of choice how you want to do your stuff so I mixed with uh this you know textures Dustin light uh like this pack 50 examples Dustin light and also s so I combined a lot of things Dustin uh it does a lot of wonder if you have seen this uh cinematic already you know that that small uh imperfect details is a lot is a lot it's very important when you do a cinematic if it's very clean then and it's not good at all you need to make it imperfect so floating dust box space u same thing rinse and repeat okay warning light um there was a scene and this dude was talking and all sorts of things and there there goes there there is a light yeah so what I did me show you yeah it's like off and on and on and on it's the is the lens flare that I used uh if you know you know so other lens flare typical lens flare work over there okay so and the street light is coming from here it's here see it small details does Wonder okay object animation yeah so this is pretty much uh my setup for this uh character oh one more thing I use replica Studios hold on let me I'm going to the web because this one got reset so I have to show you through web Okay so this is the replica software I use for the voices and all these things uh hold on just let me show you or you can hear excuse me there's supposed to be Scout of night Watchers passing through have you seen them find every citizens so you got the point like you write something and you know you can change the character of over here then you generate the voice then you use a bridge and then you just you know use it over here let me show you like for an example go for deard then um plugin replica Studio when you replica studio is installed you just um you know select a better then you go there and that's how you transfer the voice uh if you're interested in this topic I will make a different a separate tutorial for this might be helpful for all of you whoever is interested so Vis me uh there you go these are the voices that has been generated and as you can see you can hear over here the Scout supposed to pass this area but I don't sense anyone around at all so there you go so this is pretty much the breakdown of uh the thing I did inside iclone so there are some of you who are very interested that what I do inside um the Vinci for the postprocessing and all sorts of things so today let's go there and just check it out what I do okay we are in the wici right now so let me start with U the opening uh let me mute the sound mute okay so just nothing fancy just a typical title Plus and then it started on all sorts of things so I had used an adjustment clip um let me show you the FX uh with no effects isable yeah no effects nothing no film G no vet that's how it looks straight out of um iclon and there might be a little bit of color correction yeah so let me enable it you can see the differences there you go they are all light see it's light layers vet is vet texture pop without texture just like a little bit of blurry texture is popping up over there little bit of film grain uh grain only that's how you do film grain uh a little bit of camera shake my camera Shake setup is this if you want to copy paste it just go ahead that's how it is okay and sound design on appon I just always you know bounce out a single Audio Web file and just you know use it over here first of all I just rendered the whole video export it put it on Ableton then I do my sound design and music and all sorts of other things with voice and all these things then I just render out with a single wave file and just put it over here and you know the last so yeah this is how it is there you go so this is a pretty quick tutorial just wanted to show you the uh breakdown of this cinematic nothing fancy I've been done this kind of things before on other tutorials so I don't want to uh linger a bit on depths um I'm trying to switch from iclone to Unreal Engine entirely in terms of uh cinematic and and you know everything just going to animate on iclone I will be using this as a animation Pipeline and uh previews then I will be putting everything inside unreal and just render it out because unfortunately iclone isn't listening to their customer and they're not planning to do any render engine overhaul anytime soon so that sucks so that's how I have to go to Unreal Engine uh so yeah I hope this helps a lot of you or some of you maybe um this is world of Zen I will see you soon goodbye
