thank you and there's a view of the American Falls and right next to it are the bridal veil Falls and way off and the distance there are the Horseshoe Falls and hello there it is Tuesday August 29th the time is 4 25 pm and I am here at the Crown Plaza Niagara Falls hotel there's the duty-free shop and a view of the crossing I believe that's the Rainbow Bridge over into New York State I'll be driving over that bridge tomorrow morning making my way over to Six Flags Darien Lake but for this one I'm going to be heading down to the Fallsview Indoor Water Park and we'll be taking a look around there well I guess I'll be heading down and then back up and you'll see what I mean by that there's a couple elevators I'm gonna have to take but this hotel room is a bit on the older and more basic side I guess I couldn't locate a hotel or a safe and I guess I shouldn't have sat down in that chair when I got back from the water the water park oops and one thing worth noting that air conditioner was very loud when I first came in here I had to give it a big kick to shut it up and this hotel room on booking.com was listed as 538 dollars for two nights but there's an extra 154 dollars in taxes and some of those famous Vegas Niagara Falls made up fees and parking is forty dollars a day so for two nights it worked out to somewhere north of eight hundred dollars I've certainly stayed in much nicer hotels than this for much less but I guess that goes with the territory given that we are steps from Clifton Hill and a lot of the tourist attractions I couldn't log into the Wi-Fi using my last name and room number I also couldn't find a hotel safe so I'm not really going to do a formal review of this hotel I thought we would just poke around since I'm here and the bathroom certainly a bit on the old-fashioned side I think this hotel is used by a lot of people for conferences and that sort of thing anyways that's about it for the room seems decent enough you're not really going to get a good value in Niagara Falls unless you come off season and we are on the tail end of summer so let's head down I guess I could have closed the door better to the water park as I Chuck my phone onto the ground here's just a quick update on the room it is two days later and I'm about to check out so at night these drapes close but they still let in an awful lot of light which is kind of annoying I also noticed in addition to no safe there is also no fridge in the room but everything else is pretty good the beds were comfortable the room was nice and quiet you can see the fireworks from here although it wasn't the best view and that's about it in terms of how things went so I decided to check out the swimming pool and it's okay I guess the water's a bit on the cold side and I guess it sucks to have one of these rooms where you are facing the pool and somewhat predictably there's nobody here at the moment other than me the hot tubs are out of order and the main entrance to the pool was closed I followed the arrows saying indoor pool this way then there's a sign on the door saying enter through the fitness center and that's where we're headed there's one last View around the pool and the tiny fitness center at least for the size of the hotel all right and back to your regularly scheduled programming so this is the fifth floor I'm gonna have to head down to the lobby this is connected to the Niagara Casino the parking lot is connected there's a few other hotels connected to this complex as well as the water park and this is the lobby hello conversation so the foot of Clifton Hill it's just a minute or so by foot in that direction that's a pretty nice Lobby okay there's the parking garage which is connected to the hotel and they've got this neat system where it scans your license plate and the arm is supposed to come up but that did not work for me I had to buzz the assistant and ask them to open it up and these are elevators are the best we have to head up to water park which I believe is on the eighth floor right there might be some people hopping on the elevator as we make our way up this water park opened back in 2006 it features seven pools and 16 water slides and I think day passes are available for about 35 a day you can get a discount for the hotel I think they said four passes would run 120 dollars okay and this is the entrance I got one of these goofy mirrors here and the hotel does have a swimming pool by the way there is where are the lockers there twelve dollars I've got this weird system where use your date of birth and favorite color to access them so if you know my date of birth and favorite color and you happen to be here today you would have been able to bust into my locker here's where you get your wristband foreign to enter different water parks here in Niagara Falls indoor water parks I believe Great Wolf Lodge is the more popular they can try my microphone on of all the Niagara water parks [Music] but this is pretty much it this is definitely a bit more conveniently located than Great Wolf Lodge and there's another one the bucket just tipped and I missed it there's another one called waves indoor water park this is kind of the kitty area over here I just want to get a view out the window that sun is bearing down there's the Skyline Tower straight ahead Clifton Hill area with the ferris wheel in the backdrop and the American Falls and way off in the distance you can see another attraction here Marine lands [Music] I'll see if I can catch that bucket sipping later on there's a jungle gym playroom up there I believe they have private Cabanas up there which you can pay a fee to enter yeah there is no food and drink allowed in here but they do have a restaurant I didn't go in there but this is where the fun slides are [Music] [Applause] in the far end they've got a few one called Kamikaze the other called Thunder those are matte slides they're kind of in a racing configuration these two the yellow and the orange one are body slides I'll head up there and over here you have the tube slides [Music] you can go in a single tube or in a double [Applause] there comes a couple of people down the green slide I think that orange one might be the most popular that one's got but it's actually the purple one that's got that big bowl that you kind of swirl around before getting sucked into that bottom part [Applause] and there's a wave pool oh kind of a wasteful I think it'll be shut down for a month after this [Applause] so you can head up to the tube Tower and ride one of the two rides are one of the more extreme slides [Applause] since I'm over here it was an outdoor area I don't know why the swimming pool isn't open [Music] I'm probably gonna pick up a copyright match for being out here with that music blaring [Music] [Applause] [Music] and I believe this is a view to the east that's the Skyline Hotel and Water Park I guess water park would be referring to this place that's the Niagara River just over there all right let's head back in [Music] yeah [Music] I think these are some of the private Cabanas over here thank you [Applause] [Music] [Applause] I'm gonna head up these stairs here [Applause] [Music] the tension's on going on any of the rides not with the camera in hands yes [Applause] it's kind of a neat View we do have some hot tubs over here you have to be over 16 to get into the hot tubs [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] there are three you pick up your mats [Applause] so these are the two racing mat slides foreign [Applause] body slides here this yellow one is probably the best slide here it's got that steep drop [Applause] I really don't know how they're supposed to upgrade these rides and add new attractions they're definitely working with a limited footprint thank you and the two hot tubs are just over there let's see if I can catch that bucket in action right here [Applause] I only had to wait about five minutes for that [Applause] it is fun though to stand underneath it [Applause] in a view of some of the prices here it's like a chicken wrap is ten dollars the combo is 14 a pizza slice right or a pizza combo is 7.50 not as extortionate as the prices might have been but on that note that is pretty much it so I hope you enjoyed this one there's links to my patreon and YouTube channel membership if you wish to support the Fallsview Indoor Water Park all right thank you for watching and I will catch you in the next one [Music] [Music] [Music]
