hey guys it's lucky ghost here and today we're going to be going over a complete beginner's guide for new worlds new world is a fantastic new mmo that is launched this year too much hype and for good reason it's an amazing game in this guide i'm going to cover everything that you need to know as a new player i am going to make sure that you avoid all of the traps and all of the major mistakes that new players are making in new world right now i'm also going to make sure that you know the difference between the currencies that are worth saving the currencies that are worth spending and the same thing for the gear how to tell the difference between a god-like piece of gear and a piece of garbage and what you should be doing with each one so let's get into it guys the first choice that you're going to have to make in new world is picking a region you're going to have to choose which region you want to play on conveniently new worlds shows you what your ping will be in each region this is actually pretty useful information because it is an action combat based game and your ping does matter now if you're going to be playing with a friend on us west when you're on us east and you see that there's a difference of roughly 40 ping there that's not going to make or break your experience the ping is not that sensitive to your experience you'll be okay however you may want to think twice about picking a server that says it's going to be giving you roughly 400 ping or beyond you know that could be a detriment to your experience in new world uh as there are mechanics that you need to dodge and evade both in pvp and pve content so once you have decided on which server you want to play on the next thing you're going to have to do is create a character the character creation is going to give you a list of servers to choose from make sure to coordinate with your friends and choose the same server as them it's very easy to end up on a different server from your friends if you don't coordinate ahead of time because there are a ton of servers right now i'm just looking at the usb servers and there's plenty of other regions with plenty of other servers so make sure to coordinate make sure you end up on the same server in the same region there's very important information on this page it's going to tell you how many players are in queue and what the population of those servers are as always in mmos there's a bouncing act between choosing the right server you want to end up on one that has a solid healthy population but you don't want to be sitting in a long queue every day when you've been waiting to sign in right now the player queues that i'm looking at are a little bit misleading new world has prevented people from creating new characters on high pop servers which means that the queue has largely subsided as nobody has been able to make new characters on the popular servers so be careful when looking at the queue and the population take it all with a grain of salts in the short term until they roll out their server transfer process which they're going to be doing here soon they're working hard on it and it should be coming out here any time now once that comes out it's going to be interesting to see how the population settles you're going to see a lot of people transferring servers to join their friends maybe transferring to a server that's more beneficial to their faction and maybe transferring away from a server that just has queue times that are outrageous all that to say be sure to choose a server that your friends are on there is going to be a character transfer service that is going to allow you to transfer servers in the event that you do end up wanting to take your character off of one server and put it on another we don't know yet what the limitations of that process will be so you know try to get it right the first time so that you don't have to rely on that process once you've chosen the server you're going to be able to create your character the the character creation process in new world is what you'd expect from an mmo you get to choose your gender you get to choose your face your skin tone your hair style your eye color etc once you've landed on a look you're gonna press next you get to choose your name now once you create your character this is where the first bit of rng happens in the game you don't know where you're gonna spawn in new world there's four different zones that you might spawn in that means there's also four different zones your friends might spawn in which makes connecting with your friends potentially a difficult process the first thing the game is gonna do it's gonna give you a tutorial if you've already done the tutorial before simply go to the game menu and then click skip to new world i'm going to do that here but if you have not done the tutorial i highly recommend it it's going to teach you how to block how to heavy attack and how to dodge enemy incoming attacks blocking and dodging in new world are incredibly important and they can be a great way to avoid incoming damage there's a sizable cooldown on your potions and the health per second coming in from your food is pretty low so early on especially when your character is very fragile and you're very new to the game you're gonna want to do what you can to avoid damage by dodging it now when you spawn on the beach in the game you can spawn in one of several locations now there are four locations that you can spawn in new world these four starting zones are monarch bluffs everfall windsword and first light if you ever forget which starting zones are the starting zones it's the ones listed as level 1 through 25. this is the first difficulty you may encounter when trying to play with your friends now meeting up with your friends right away can be a little bit of a journey because you can spawn into four different zones however if you want to it's totally doable simply talk to the first npc but only accept the reward for the first quest which is basically hey i washed up on shore and he says congrats here's some boots but do not accept the next quest from him because if you do it's gonna start you down a quest chain in the zone you're in what you want to do is after you turn in the quest open up your map and if you zoom out now you'll see four different quests on the map one two three four these are four different storylines that you guys can progress through and what you're going to have to do is pick a zone whichever one you would like to do your first question together in you can always change zones at any time you're not locked into any one region so this isn't the kind of decision where if you haven't done this or you did this differently or you missed this step it's going to ruin your entire new world experience it's not you can go to any other zone anytime you want but this would get you guys on the same path from this first moment you step into the game which can be nice if you fail to link up with a friend for this step of the game then what i would do is wait until you guys get to around level 10. it's going to give you a quest to pick a faction boom now you're more or less on the same page again make sure you pick the same faction we'll get more into that later once you've chosen which zone you're going to go to then go ahead and run there meet up with your friend and accept the quest now let's get into how the ui works and how you follow quests how you know which quests are important which ones might not be um and what the difference between a main story quest is and a side story quest and so on there's four different types of quests in new worlds if we press j right now it's going to open up our journal and we can see here we have main story quests side story quests faction missions and town projects these are the four different types of quests you can do in new world the main story quest is one you should absolutely always be doing you shouldn't necessarily ignore all the side story in faction and town projects in order to do the main story but you never want to forget about the main story quests as it's going to give you more experience per quest than almost any other quest as well as your as off staff and uh the upgrades to your as auth staff which are going to be very important as you progress through the game there's a lot of content that you won't even be able to do without your azoth staff so very important to keep up with the main story it's very easy to forget about it or to have it fall off of your pinned list of quests up here in the top right and then you ask yourself hey what am i supposed to be doing i don't know you know i forgot well don't worry you can always come here and pin a quest if it falls off of that pinned list anytime you want if i had a lot of quests here you'd be able to see them but this is a fresh character i made just for this video so that i could show you what the beginning process was like and i'd be able to tell them to pin or unpaint any quests that i wanted to track and complete at that moment main story quests are as i suggest the main story the side story quests are going to be side story quests with you know quests with the story that you can do you can pick them up all over the game you typically unlock them as you progress through the zone um as you do one quest in a zone it's going to unlock another quest in that zone and once you complete that quest it might unlock three more quests and they typically tend to be gated behind both level and uh progress through that zone if you'd like to access more quests well the easiest way to do that is to get experience in that zone do things in that zone that are going to progress your character and this will unlock more of these side story quests in that zone faction missions are missions that are going to give your character experience but they're also going to give you faction experience or faction reputation as well as some faction currency that you can spend at your faction vendor the faction vendor sells some incredibly important items so don't overlook your faction missions these are incredibly useful to you and your progression through the game some of these items are very valuable there can be some really good gear in here as well and when i get to the faction section of this video we'll dive deeper into factions how they operate and the things that you really need to pay attention to so that you don't miss anything important and finally we have town projects you can do town projects to help upgrade a town this is a fantastic way to level up your character and to get reputation in that zone zone reputation is going to do a lot of things for you but one of those things is it's going to unlock passives every time you level in a zone you're going to be allowed to choose more passives than that zone we'll dive more into that also later the important thing to know is these are the four types of quests you can do in new world this is it right here the main story and the side stories are one-time quests the faction missions and the town projects are repeatable quests that you draw at random this can sometimes make it difficult to do the faction mission and town project quests with friends however the main story and the side stories are easy enough to do with friends if you're at the same point in the game but once you have your first quest you can see here on the top of the screen there's a compass that is pointing me in the direction of my quest there's no mini map in new world at the moment so you'll be relying on your map the full screen map which you can open up and look at anytime you'd like and here you can see the number one inside of the quest marker which corresponds with the number one inside of our quest here tracked on the screen and just the same we have the number one inside of the compass at the top of the screen there you'll use that and you just run towards it and it's gonna do a great job of leading you to that quest really try to get in the habit of glancing at your compass from time to time it has a ton of utility built into it your compass is going to be able to do tons of stuff for you not only does it show you where quest locations are and quest turning locations are or markers that you put on the map you can put a marker on the map simply by right clicking on it so if i right click right here boom there it is and i can turn the compass and then run in that direction it's also going to tell you about major points and towns and stuff like that so but that's not all it's going to do it's also going to tell you where certain resources are located so if you're running through the zone and you get close to an iron node iron nodes are going to be very useful in the game they're going to help you craft better gear better equipment better tools right so if your gathering has reached a high enough level then the corresponding nodes will show up on your compass so always be glancing at your compass make sure there's not in a valuable node nearby on your compass this won't really kick in until your gathering skills get leveled up quite a bit but once they do be sure to keep an eye on it the game will tell you hey you've unlocked these nodes on your compass they will now show up and it's easy to be confused by this you'll pull open your map and be like wait i don't see any notes they don't show up on your map they show up on your compass okay now one of the first things that you're gonna have to do once you're in the game you've picked up your quest and you turn that first quest in and if you notice you leveled so what do you do with levels what do they do for you every time you level you're going to get attribute points right here under your character menu the default key for this is k you can open it up and anytime and look at this at the screen and you want to make sure that you spend your attribute points attribute points in this game are pretty huge and the way they work is pretty neat every time you put points in it's going to show you how many points you have total seven points in strength if i find a piece of gear that gives me one point of strength it'll say you have eight points in strength seven from your attribute points and one from gear it breaks it down for you really nicely this screen actually tells you a lot of very valuable information so it's very important to take a glance at it when you're trying to decide what weapon combinations you want to use you're only going to get points every time you level so you have a very finite number of points to spend here what you're basically going to want to do is choose weapons that scale off of the same stat ideally this will allow you to mid max now you can deviate from this and you can go strength and dax or strengthen ins but just recognize it's going to be harder to get both of those weapons to perform really well because one is scaling off of intelligence and one of scaling off of strength the more points we put into strength the more damage all of these weapons up here will do so if we can pick two weapons the scale off of strength that means we can pump strength and we'll be increasing the damage of both of our weapons we can equip two weapons at once the other set that you're going to want to be aware of regardless of which build you choose is constitution this is your health you put points in the constitution your health goes up it's that simple so if you're going a strength build you're going to put most your points in strength and some of your points and constitution if you're going to go dex build you're going to put most your points in decks and some of your points in constitution until you have a comfortable amount of health another thing that's going to largely determine how many points that you put into each of these is these nodes right here if you see these circles what those are is unlocks for various passives if we hover over this one it says when i get 50 points into strength we're gonna get five percent damage to my melee weapon light attacks and ten percent mining speed you can see already that strength has a correlation to mining multiple nodes in this path are going to give us buffs to mining whether it's going to be making us mine faster or decrease the weight of mined items your inventory weight is going to be very important in this game and we'll talk a lot about that later just remember to read these notes and that's really going to help you decide do i want to get to 50 constitution absolutely right because our health consumables are 20 stronger that means when you chug a potion you're going to get 20 more health back that's incredibly powerful but do you want to get that before you pump your strength so that your strength weapons are doing more damage well there's a decision you have to make i'm going roughly 80 strength 20 constitution and sometimes i'll pump one a little more than the other and vice versa if i'm getting close to unlocking one of these nodes because these can be quite impactful what else do you get for leveling up well besides your attributes you're also going to get level rewards and anytime you want you can look at the level rewards right here on your attributes menu if you click view leveling rewards this menu will pop up showing you exactly what you get every five levels so at level five we get a second weapon slot and a survivalist quest so until level five you can only equip one weapon but when you hit level 5 you'll unlock that second weapon slot and so be sure to put another weapon back there as soon as possible and you'll also get a quest that allows you to upgrade your camp we'll talk more about camps later at level 10 you'll unlock dueling and your first bag slot the bag slots are so important it's so important because as i mentioned before the amount of bag space you have has such a massive impact on your quality of life in this game it means you can stay out of town longer you can do more quests you can gather more materials before you have to return to town and drop things off so every time you get a bag slot it's really exciting you're going to get a bag slot at 10 at 30 and at 45. so 10 30 and 45 are massive levels in this game for your character and the quality of life that you have in the game at 15 you're gonna be able to buy your first house though you may choose to wait we'll talk about that when we get to housing you're gonna unlock things like jewelry slots when you get to 20 and you're gonna get your as off staff at 20 as well which is going to be essential to progressing through certain content in the game so be sure to check this out anytime you're curious about what level of rewards you have coming or maybe you're wondering why you haven't unlocked a certain slot in your inventory yet now that you've got your attribute points and your weapons chosen right maybe you pick two weapons that are scaling off of the same stat or maybe you decided to go hybrid and you've got two that are on different stats that's where we're gonna look at our weapon mastery page right here this is gonna show you what level your weapon is and what three abilities you have slotted from that weapon you can only slot three abilities per weapon you can have two weapons so that means you can have six abilities slotted at any given time okay now i'm on a higher level character in the same menu we can look and we can see what it starts to look like as you level up weapons the bow is a little bit into level one the sword and board is mostly through six and then we've got level 15 and 16 great x and warhammer two weapons i've really enjoyed using this time around if you click on one of these lines you can see how they have skills that you can unlock the skills are the square abilities here and then you've got passives those are the circles and then you've got kind of capstone passives down here at the bottom if you can unlock one of these you usually should and the way that it works is you basically have two trees you can dip into one or both of the trees at a time but you only progress through each one based on the number of points spent in that tree so if we look at the warhammer line here as you can see i have filled out the right tree i've worked my way all the way down and got the capstone passive on the left tree i've only got the first and second passive unlocked right putting a point here unlocked the second row and then i put the point here so if we hover over the third row it's going to tell us purchase an ability in the previous row and mighty gavel to unlock but i would need mighty gavel to get this passive because there's an arrow that connects them right so i can't just go from here to here um this is connected to this so i'll have to get the mighty yabble ability and then this passive is directly attributed to this ability whereas i could go into this passive the next time i get a skill point for this weapon i can put it into this passive there's no requirements needed because i have put a point in the previous row i am now going to be able to put a point in this row anywhere where there's no other prerequisites yeah after that i could go to this passive and then to this passive but in order to get this cap capstone here i would have to go all the way down this line light that up and eventually unlock this you get free respects as you're playing the game i highly encourage you to take advantage of those as a new player you don't lose anything by respecting so go ham with it try all of the skills if you don't love one respect and choose a different one okay and we'll talk about respecting right now how do you respect in new world well first thing you're going to want to do is choose what you want to respec you can either respect your attributes or your weapon mastery in order to respect your attributes simply go to the attributes tab and then click the respect button respecting your attributes is free until you hit level 20 after that it will begin to accumulate a cost weapon mastery same thing for a while you'll be able to respect for free eventually there will be an azoth costs associated with your respec while it's free take advantage of it try all of the things the weapons are put into categories you've got one-handed weapons two-handed weapons ranged weapons and magic we've got three one-handers you've got the sword and shield counting as a one-hander that's very much a tank setup you've got the rapier and the hatchet in the two-handed category you've got the spear the great x and the warhammer all three of which scale really well off of strength you've got ranged weapons being the bow and the musket both of which are scaling off of dexterity and then you've got the fire staff the lie staff and the ice gauntlet under magic and remember anytime you want to see what things scale off of simply refer to this attribute page here and you can see that the fire staff and the ice gauntlet scale with intelligence and then you've got the rapier and the musket scaling with dexterity and a little bit with intelligence right so some of these scale with two stats one more than the other uh for example the spear is going to scale with decks and strength so it gives you the option to kind of dabble in more than one of these lines so don't forget to look at that when you choose your weapons right and then if you're going to be healer you're going to pump focus and a little bit of constitution which weapons you choose is largely going to be determined by your role as well as your own personal preferences pick the things that look cool to you pick the things that are fun you can always level up new weapons later however it is also worth mentioning that weapons are the real grind in this game you're gonna hit that level 60 cap sooner than later so much of your power is going to come from your weapons the skills that they offer are really powerful and then the passives that you unlock in those lines are also going to give you massive power increases there are so many passives in this game that are substantial and exciting and they do things like give you life back or substantially increase your damage right so by the time you fill out these passive trees you're going to be way way stronger than when you started so eventually you're going to want to pick a weapon line and focus on it and max it out because so much of your power is not tied to just your level but also the level of your weapons because that's going to determine how many skills you have how many passives you have attached to those skills and to that weapon the new world does have the holy trinity in pve you've got tanks healers and damage dealers the tanks are going to want to use any weapon that has taunts for instance if we hover over shield bash it says deals damage to your foes it also says that if you have a taunt gem equipped this ability causes a 6 second taunt to all enemies hit right so this ability can hit multiple enemies at a time and if you have that gem in your weapon it's going to cause all of those enemies to be taunted this ability screams hey i'm meant for tanks so anytime you see something like this in a skill line where it says hey if you got a taunt jam you can taunt well that's telling you hey you can use this as a tank in this game it's going to be very effective so if you're a tank be sure to look through the weapons you're thinking about using and make sure to grab the ability that says it's taunt gem compatible if you're going to be a healer you're going to want to use well probably the live staff you guessed it right you're going to want to use the live staff beyond the lifestyle if you've got a couple of options using the lifestyle is going to be pretty tough on your mana supply so you could pair with it a something like a hatchet that is gonna provide a lot of debuffs to the enemy or you could use uh whatever looks interesting to you just be aware that if you're running a staff on front and back bar that means you're gonna be burning through your mana twice as fast and early on in the game it could be hard to sustain and finally the damage dealer so you guys are gonna pick well anything that looks fun to do damage with and really you can go with just about anything on here outside of the sword and shield and the life staff everything here is built to do damage just keep their scaling in mind so that when you pump a stat it's increasing the damage of both of your weapons ideally okay now i'm gonna let my character die and we're gonna show you what happens when you die in a new world you're gonna be presented with this screen right here where you're allowed to give up if the enemy doesn't finish you off someone can come by and res you your character will sit there with his hand in the air pleading for someone to rez and you have quite a while for someone to do that so if somebody's nearby it's worth sitting there it's worth waiting and seeing what happens maybe someone's gonna come by maybe they'll pick you up if nobody does then you'll be sent to this screen where you'll get to choose your list of places you can resurrect it's usually gonna be a nearby town or if you've set a camp up the camp that's nearby you can only resurrect the camps if they're within 500 meters i believe uh so they have to be relatively close otherwise they're of no use to you when it comes to resurrecting ironically letting your character die especially when you're low level is a fairly effective way of fast traveling in new worlds we'll talk more about that when we get to the fast travel section of this video so i'm going to pick brightwood and i'm going to respawn and it's going to place me at the end now what did i lose for dying well you'll see that all of my gear took a bit of a durability loss this white line underneath my gear shows how much durability it has and every piece of gear that i'm wearing took some durability loss but not just that in new world every piece of gear that you're carrying also takes durability loss when you die so the punishment for dying is twofold one you have to run all the way back from town or from your nearest camp to where you were to finish what you were doing and two all of your takes a bit of a durability hit now that's not a big deal especially when you're lower level because you'll be out leveling your gear faster than it's taking durability damage right so before this ever needs to be repaired you'll find something better because you're constantly upgrading your gear especially at low levels you're just you're going to be changing your gear so often you're going to be finding upgrades everything you kill is dropping gear the quest rewards are dropping gear and very often times because you're leveling up the things you're finding are going to be better king making the punishment for death relatively minor the biggest inconvenience is usually the run back now let's say that the gear you have damaged is gear that you want to hold on to you don't have better things to wear and something's breaking well well then you can simply click on an item and then this menu pops up and you can choose to repair and it's going to tell you what it's going to cost you uh seven gold and two repair kits is what this is telling me you can also simply go down here to repair all if a lot of your gear is breaking and click that and it's going to tell you hey this is going to cost 35 gold and 17 repair parts and you say yes that's fine and now you're thinking repair parts well how do you get how do you get gold how do you get repair parts now since you need repair parts to repair your gear how do you get them well you salvage gear that you find in new worlds you don't sell gear as much as you salvage it especially especially early on you're going to find a ton of gear and most of it almost all of it is going to be bad right it's either going to have bad stats on it it's not going to do enough damage it's essentially going to be worse than what you're wearing and for that reason there's really only one thing to do with it that's salvage so you click on the gear and you click salvage it's going to ask you are you sure you want to salvage this and you say yes and it's giving you gold and repair kits right the two things you need in order to repair your gear so there's a nice circle of life going on there gear that you find being salvaged and turned into the things you need to repair the gear that you're wearing and so yeah don't bother holding on to gear don't bother storing gear that you find that you're not going to wear especially early on nobody else wants it either for the same reasons you don't want it right it's very unlikely that somebody's going to want to pay some gold for it unless it rolls perfectly and maybe they don't know better down the road you may find items that are valuable they have the perfect stats and someone might want to buy it but early on don't stress about it don't go storing a ton of items and a ton of weapons right because also remember you're low level and that gear is not going to be useful to you next week when your few levels higher five levels higher 10 levels higher you're not going to want it either so not only is anybody else not going to want it but you're not going to want it because you've also outleveled it so don't hoard gear don't worry about it it's meant for you to salvage it so you know don't overthink it too much all that to say don't overthink it too much if you're not gonna wear it go ahead and salvage it you can use the scraps uh you can use the repair kits you can use the gold so let's talk about the currency in the game we've got gold and we've got the repair kits and we've got the azoth down here the gold you're going to get in a lot of ways by doing any of the four types of quests in the game by killing enemies by salvaging gear right all of these things are going to give you gold you can also earn gold by crafting things or finding things and then selling them at a trading post we'll get more into that later this the repair kits we've pretty well covered here uh there is a cap on gold of 500 000 there's a cap on repair kits of 2000 and there's a cap on azoth of 1 000. azoth is what you're going to be using for crafting as well as fast traveling this is your fast travel currency we'll talk more about fast travel later on but but as a currency is one that's going to be incredibly important to you um it's it's a crafting ingredient it's fast travel currency you're going to earn it from doing everything from questing to gathering speaking of gathering let's look at how gathering works in new world in new world there are a lot of gathering abilities so here we have all of the gathering levels that i've got here logging mining fishing harvesting and tracking and skinning right so we've got five versions of gathering we chop down trees we mine ore with a pickaxe right we fish with a fishing pole we harvest and we track and skin so this is killing animals and then skinning them taking their meats taking their skin and we use all of these for tons of various things in this game once you have these materials by gathering you're going to refine them you're going to go to various stations and it's going to allow you to turn the iron ore into iron ingots it's going to allow you to turn the wood into something that you can use to make a fishing pole or a weapon it's going to allow you to turn that rawhide into a material that you could use to craft gear right these are all transforming the raw materials that you're gathering into something that you can use to craft so it kind of starts in gathering and then you refine those materials into something that you can craft with and that's what's up here on the top row these are all of your crafting trades right this is where you make weapons out of those ingots that you farmed by mining this is where you make the armor out of those ingots that you farmed by mining right and so on and so forth right uh that armor is going to take like maybe a lot of iron and maybe a little bit of leather to hold the iron on to hold that iron into place on your body right so there's a nice circle here that starts with gathering you level this up by gathering materials and then you refine those materials refining those materials is going to level these up and then you craft stuff with those refined materials and that levels these up up here crafting is a massive massive part of new world i mean uh there's there's so many layers and levels of it and which is part of why it's actually a pretty fun part of new world not only is it not only is there multiple forms of progression in here in that you can level your gathering you can level your finding and you can level your crafting but if you look in your inventory you can also find better tools to do all of those activities and basically what these tools are going to do is they're going to expedite how long it takes you to mine that ore right is it going to take five swings or is it going to take two swings to pull up that iron ore right and because you're doing it so often definitely going to want to upgrade your tools anytime you can you want to upgrade uh very early on one of the very first things you're going to do in this game when you're on that first beach you're interacting with that first camp i highly recommend that you craft your first set of gathering tools your sick your harvesting sickle your skinning knife your pickaxe and your logging axe right craft all four of those you're gonna be able to cram flint versions of them on the starting beach and i highly recommend that you do in order to craft them just interact with the fire on the beach and uh hover over the item and it'll tell you exactly what ingredients you need and it'll say you need some flint and some wood and so you'll go and you'll gather some flint off the ground and some wood and then boom you come back to the fire and it'll let you make it right and very quickly you'll understand the crafting process in this game but whatever you do don't fall behind on your tools these are one of the most satisfying things to upgrade in the game because it just makes all the gathering that you have to do that much faster and that much more rewarding for the time span fishing levels up a lot slower than the rest and it's much more of a conscious effort it's hard to just passively fish like as you're running you'll see things that need to be harvested and so you'll harvest them or you'll kill an animal so you'll skin so you'll skin it or you'll run by an iron node and so you'll mine it right and uh same thing with the axe like you'll you'll see trees everywhere so you'll just every once in a while you'll chop down a tree fishing you're always running by ponds and lakes and water and and it levels a lot slower it's much slower you spend a lot more time per fish and then each fish that you catch levels up fishing a lot less than some of the other things do so it's just all around a lot slower but you know it's also a fun activity so if you enjoy fishing go for it there's a lot of useful things that you can do there you can pull up fish you can pull up crafting ingredients um you can even pull up treasure chests with items in them while fishing okay now we're going to talk about bags and we're going to combine with bags a cursory overview of how crafting in new world works i'll definitely be making a much more specific video all about crafting because crafting is massive it's it's just there's so much to it and to try to cover it in a video like this where i'm talking about everything is uh well it's nearly impossible it would triple the length of the video probably so let's just talk about crafting a bag and the information that you learn about crafting a bag will literally apply to crafting everything else in the game it's very uh no matter what you're crafting it's a very similar process okay so at the outfitting station this is where you craft bags so i came to an outfitting station on the left you have a search bar right and this is where you're going to search for the thing you want to craft a bag right we want to craft a bag this is what increases our carry weight we want one it's one of the most worthwhile things to craft almost everybody's going to craft one you could also buy it at the trading post but uh you're going to be leveling up your crafting anyway for this and 100 other things you might as well save the money and craft it yourself by crafting this and anything else you're further leveling your trades right anytime you craft something it levels your crafting so it kind of behooves you to craft things for yourself because you need to level the trades anyway and the easiest way to level some things is by crafting some things so uh we've searched for bag it says coarse leather bag right here's the things that we know how to craft here's the things that we don't know how to craft right it says unlearned and uh if we click on course leather bag it tells me on the left side here here's the ingredients you need to graph this and here it's telling me um you can add passives to this bag there's two ways to do that one you can determine right it's like more deterministic crafting you can tell it which passive you want on the bag or alternatively you can use ass off right and it will apply a random passive to your bag you can choose one of these but not both of these right you can either choose a random passive via as off or you can choose the passive with an item that's in your inventory somewhere uh that adds passives to gear right if you're carrying any of them or if you have any of them in storage they'll show up here in your options i don't have any in this town and i don't have any on my character i know i have them somewhere else in the game in another storage container they're just not in this town so they're not showing up here on the far right here we've got the requirements uh it's telling me you don't have the resources but you do have the outfitting station level two and you also have the armoring skill required to craft this level zero right if i go to the next one down which will add even which is an even better storage bag right it says you don't have the resources for this but you do have outfitting station tier three and you do have the armoring skill level 50 that is required but you're missing the resources right and it'll tell you in red which resources you're missing i'm missing some scaly hide and um i could craft this with either face fiber or linen whenever it gives you the option to make something with multiple things crafting it with the lower tier item is going to lower the gear score and crafting it with the higher tier one is going to raise the gear score see how that moved that's essentially what that's saying is um it's going to in this case what that means is it's going to hold more most likely if it has a higher gear score so if you have the phase fiber and you want to spend that kind of um potential money on this item you could use the higher tier ingredient or you could just use this one and you'll be fine as well and maybe save that higher tier ingredient for something else down the line that's a decision for you to make i went ahead when i made mine i made mine with the lower tier ingredient because uh face fiber is pretty rare early in the game it's unlikely that you're gonna have a ton of it lying around the rune of holding here is something that you're going to buy with your faction points so make sure you're doing those faction quests at least a few a day so you're accruing faction points and uh you have to level up your faction high enough in order to have access to these items so there's different tiers of faction rep we'll get into that when i talk about factions in detail later uh just know that's where the rune of holding comes it comes from your faction now after you put this to 15 as off and you click the craft button boom it's going to craft something like this the coarse leather adventure satchel right that gives me an additional 100 encumbrance which means i can carry 100 more weight than i could before and if i was to craft the rugged leather satchel right this one that i crafted gave me a hundred and a couple passives right and then i crafted this one and that gave me the rugged leather adventure satchel which raised my incumbent score by 150. so between the two items i got 250 additional encumbrance right 250 extra weight i can carry around as you'll notice i only have 470. so over half my carry capacity is coming from these two bags right and then i'm gonna get another one later and these are low quality bags so you know it will be my inventory will be double tripled and quadrupled by the bags uh that i unlock and that i craft in this game so mind your bags they're very important there's a lot of quality of life here and they're one of the most rewarding things to upgrade and just so be sure to pay attention to that when you get one at 10 when you get one at 30 and when you get one at 45 make sure to slot it you're gonna get one for free as a reward at level 10 but you have to put it on if you don't put it on it's not going to increase your inventory size right you have to drag it out of your inventory and put it here and at 30 you don't get one as a reward you've got to craft it yourself or buy it the last thing to know about crafting is say you click on uh say you want to craft this bag and it asks you for leather and you don't have leather and you don't know how to get leather all you have to do is go to the corresponding station to find out right so it's this coarse leather bag it requires leather but how do i get leather well we just go to the tanning station right this is where you process your hides and you'll search for the item that you need to know how to make course right and it'll come up and it'll say you need four rawhide i only have two i don't have enough to even make one but i would need four rawhide to make one coarse leather right so now i know how to make that ingredient that it's asking for what else is it asking for the other thing the bag is asking for is linen so how do i make linen well if we go to this loom here and we click on linen right it says every four fibers is going to give you one linen and you can drag this around and i've only got uh 13 fibers so i can only make three right now but now i know how to make linen right and so i know what i need to i so now i know what i need to go out into the world and find i need to find fiber uh where do you grab fiber uh hemp is the answer hemp grab hemp any time you see hemp in the wild pick it up it's gonna give you fiber you're gonna use it for a ton of stuff so always be grabbing your hemp always be skinning those animals right and just like so many things in this game when you run by a node don't be shy about picking it up you're probably absolutely going to need it later okay for a long time now i've been saying i was going to come talk about the factions the factions are very important in this game it's very important that you choose the same faction as your friends you cannot change factions very easily once you have chosen a faction you get one free faction change and then it's 120 days until you can change factions again right so you don't want to pick the wrong faction and if you're not in the same faction as your friends you cannot pvp together you cannot be in the same company aka guild all you can do is dungeons and quests together right but you can't do uh you know half of the content in the game together if you're not in the same faction so make sure to jump into the same faction as your friend make sure to coordinate that just like you coordinated the server it's just important so what if factions do what's the difference between the three factions the three factions are the syndicate the marauders and the covenant the difference in factions is only in lore there's no passives that each faction is giving you that other factions aren't right they're 100 equally balanced uh outside of player choice and by that i mean there might be an imbalance on your server because more people pick syndicate then pick covenant or the more people pick covenant than they pick uh marauders right the only imbalance that can happen between the factions is the imbalance of the player base but the rewards that all the factions get the the passives that they get it's all the same so you don't need to worry about picking uh the the faction that's the best one for you you just need to worry about picking the same faction as your friends and uh hopefully your faction on your server doesn't get steamrolled so once you've chosen a faction what does that do for you well you're going to be able to come to your faction leader right around level 10 the game is going to lead you to a quest that's basically going to say hey you've got to pick affection now choose wisely and it'll have you talk to all three faction leaders and they'll tell you a little bit about their lore and then after that you get to choose a faction you can choose it based on the lore you can choose it based on the look it's up to you once you choose you'll have access to the faction board this is where you'll be able to pick up quests both pve and pvp quests these quests are great sources of xp they're great sources of faction tokens it's another type of currency that you can use to buy some really useful items in the game and the only way to get faction tokens and buy these items is by doing these faction quests so uh there's two types there's pve see pve right here and pvp the bottom row is pvp the top row is pve uh i have in progress all of the pve quests and then if i wanted to do the pvp once it would tell you uh taking a pvp mission will flag you for pvp in other words if you leave town flagged for pvp anybody that is also flagged on a different faction can kill you if they kill you while you're trying to do one of these quests let's say i'm out there right and i did two of these quests and now i'm trying to do the third one i'm flagged and someone kills me i lose credit for the two that i completed as well as any progress i made on the third and i have to pick them up and start over from scratch okay the pve ones uh dying it doesn't matter and you can go out there you can start it you can die you can finish it right it's much more forgiving and um you know there's no real people trying to kill you it's just you versus the environment that's a lot more relaxing uh pvp may be a little bit more exciting or terrifying depending on how you look at pvp in a game like this so let's say i picked this up and it's gonna say hey you're gonna fly for pvp boom okay now i'm flagged for pvp if you ever want to flag your unflagged for pvp just press u right it's telling me you cannot change your pvp flat you cannot change your flag while you have this quest so i can go to her and i can be like oh man you know what i didn't mean to i don't want to be flagged right now i can cancel it pvp is disabled for my character in the open world right now these refresh all the time so don't worry about canceling one if you start it uh you come back a little bit later and it's gonna refresh right all missions will refresh in two minutes and something like maybe a 30 minute timer on these refreshes okay so after you do some of these whether it's the pve ones or the pvp ones and you've got some tokens accrued right here it says i have nine thousand um every time you do one you gain um basically like faction reputation i got initiate by joining the faction and then i became a templar by hitting three thousand uh faction points right here three thousand reputation and now i'm almost to eleven thousand we're all unlock ex excubitor where i'll unlock excubitor okay what does that mean for me uh well if you click here on buy rewards now you can see the shop for your faction everybody's faction shop is pretty much the same right they're in a different faction but they're looking at the same items the same stuff uh initiate we have all these items here and the one of the most important ones on the list is the minor rune of holding this is where you get that rune of holding i was talking about earlier when we were talking about bags you make your bags using a rune of holding this is the minor rune of holding now if we go down to templar right we scroll down to templar right because i got enough points to become a templar rank that means i can buy these templar items and here is a major rune of holding which means i can craft an even better bag with this better rune right and i'm almost but not yet an excubitor right so if we scroll down to the excuse we can see there's a whole bunch of items i can't buy these yet but they look very nice um and here's a greater rune of holding so yet again an even better bag can be crafted once i unlock excubitor so it's really important to participate in your faction quests both pve and pvp and make sure you're progressing your faction uh ranking right you want to make sure you keep leveling that up and accruing the currency now it's really important to note your currency is capped if we look at our tokens it says tokens are capped at ten thousand so i'm at nine thousand out of ten thousand that means pretty soon when i do these quests any tokens i get are gonna be sent into the void and so what i want to do is i want to make sure i spend some tokens on anything before i hit the cap before i'm literally just throwing them away right so this is encouraging you to not just hoard them for the end game but to use them as you're leveling up and you should you should use them to grab the minor rune of holding you know it's only a thousand tokens when you are able to craft that first bag grab that you know and then later on when you can craft the better one grab the major runefolding you can also buy potions to turn in for the board dailies you could buy gear if there happens to be a piece of gear you really like or you really need maybe a weapon or maybe some gear be sure to use these points whatever you do just don't let yourself get capped and start sending them into the void that's the that's the biggest waste it's better to spend too much than too little you'll always make more if you're going to do faction pvp quests i highly recommend grouping up with a few of your friends uh or you will probably find yourself in an outnumbered battle it's going to be two or three or even 10 against one you know you just never know what kind of a group you're going to run into out there but if you're alone you'll you'll never be in the bigger group you'll always be in the smaller group in the pvp battle so group with friends if possible when doing these pvp quests now with that in mind how does pvp in this game work we're going to take a look at the map here the pvp in this game works in a couple of different ways you can have the open world pvp you can fight at forts or you can have uh wars they see there's an upcoming war for this town the winner of that war is gonna be the owner of this town the owner of this town gets to set things like the if we click on it here they'll get to set things like the tax rates the crafting prices uh and that sort of thing right your property tax um they can raise this or lower this and they get to reap the benefits of that income or if they set them too high maybe the lack of income right because nobody's going to want to own a home there or craft there if the tax is exorbitant and they can't afford to live or to craft there so if you're participating in the open world pvp you're gonna notice that sometimes when you kill someone you get a ton of experience and sometimes when you kill someone you don't get hardly any experience at all the amount of experience that you get when you kill someone is directly related to how long they have been flagged without dying right so like if they're running around outside of town for 30 minutes and then you kill them you're going to get a ton of experience if they just left the town door and then boom you wallop them you're going to get nothing or perhaps maybe they walked out the town door and somebody killed him you know and they're just getting farmed right and you kill him right you're gonna get nothing again this greatly disincentivizes just camping the gate for someone coming out with a pvp flag on right because you don't get anything for killing him anyway so what's the point uh better to kill them after they've left and they've come down here and they started doing the quests right and then you engage them and now all of a sudden you're getting some of the best weapon experience in the game this is one of the fastest ways to level your weapon is through pvp killing other players because remember your weapons right your weapons level separately from your character they have their own set of things that are leveling them killing any mob is going to give you some weapon experience killing other players is going to give you a ton of weapon experience killing elites is going to give you a ton of experience um and i'll talk more about that in a second okay so now that you kind of have an idea of what types of pvp are available um there's the open world one we talked about that and how to set yourself up for it you basically hit you at any time boom pvp enabled um or you hit you again evp disabled it's going to show you right here there's an icon that says um you know if you're enabled or not if you see these swords crossing you're enabled that means you know anyone else that's enabled like that can come up and kill you okay so just kind of be aware of that if you accidentally bump it or something and then leave town and you die horribly well you probably you know well there you go the other type of pvp for these wars right you can go to the war board if there's evp on the horizon and let's say you want to participate in it right so the way it works is the owner of this town that company gets to determine who is and who is not going to be in the war and the way they determine that is by who signs up so if you come here and you click sign up right and it tells you 105 players signed up for this side 104 players signed up for this side right so i can click sign up and i say yeah i want to sign up boom view my status and you can see here who they've slotted for the war it's all of these people have been slaughtered for this war 50 of them and the leader can grab people from over here and drag them into the war if you come to the board you'll get notified if you're put into the war so that you know and if you see your name here you're definitely in the war right just in case you missed the notification so uh before the war you know check in on here you'll see your name or you won't and you'll know that you are or you're not going to be slotted for the battle uh this is the symbol for the war board by the way when it comes time for you to try to sign up for a war two swords crossing there okay but so now let's look at the map as a whole what does this all mean we can see that the syndicate the purple function here has one two three four five zones right marauders have one two three four zones that's the green faction and then the yellow zone the covenants here sitting with one zone the sleeping giant okay it's not that we're never gonna have the rest of the zones it's just that you know uh we're waiting we're waiting for the right time to strike what else do we have on the map we have these arrows here these are fast travel shrines these are located throughout the game in various places these are what you use to fast travel we'll talk more about fast travel specifically in a moment other important indicators are this green arrow means you have a quest to turn in in this town see this little green arrow above that town that means there's a quest to turn in there this is the fort this is the town right here this is the town uh fast travel sign and then you have various symbols for you know hey come here to hunt a bunch of you know animals you can farm leather or whatever uh this symbol right here is a corrupted area a little red areas on the map so these are a great place to farm character xp this is where you'll get more attribute points you'll level up your character right so you come to corrupted portals to level up your character pretty fast that's a great source uh as well as doing questing and the the dungeons in this game dungeons are called expeditions so there are six expeditions in the game you get to the first one at 25. it's the first really true form of group content in the game it requires at least three people to enter and the recommended level is 25. you can go in at level 20 you know 20 21 22. uh as soon as somebody has the key in your group you can all go in together and as long as you have like a real tank and a real healer you can go in you know quite a few levels before 25 and be okay the next expedition is this one here the starstone borrows and this is a level 35 one again you can go in there before that as long as somebody has the key and you have the uh you know a qualified party to do so expeditions have quests associated with them both from some of the towns and there's a daily outside of amerine uh his name is barcamides it's a dog he gives you a daily he gives you a repeatable quest that you can do every single time you go into these first two expeditions uh that you come back to him and you turn in afterwards and it's going to give you a substantial amount of experience so anytime you go into these first two expeditions make sure you talk to archimedes beforehand pick up his quest and then you pick up all of the loot in that dungeon the the bones drop in a bag of loot off of the mobs that you kill and it's very easy to miss one and if you miss one you have to run the whole thing all over again before you can turn it in so you just miss out on an entire rotation of this repeatable experience and the experience is massive it's something like 5 to 6k experience when you turn it into them these excavations recommend a minimum of three and a maximum of five i did it with a group of three the first time uh when we were all like level 21 22 uh yeah bring five bring five it's gonna go a lot smoother or bring a real tank that's gonna help a lot too you'll also notice that each each zone uh tells you what level range it is this one's 58 to 60 plus right whereas this one here is one to 25. it says it there in small little letters if i zoom in anymore it disappears so i don't know how well you can see it but when you're looking at your own map uh you'll undoubtedly be able to read that 26 to 35 down here 125 it's a good way to know which zones are viable for you to go do quests in at the moment if you do decide to go into one of these sports you can capture it you can stand on the flag there and you can capture it and it's going to give your faction certain buffs while they're in that zone you can see if you hover over a fort it's gonna tell you what the buffs are uh you get an additional influence you get experience five percent increase and you can gather ten percent more materials at a time if we hover over a different one there might be a different set of buffs right let's talk about one of the most important things here though the the fast travel shrines and let's talk about fast travel as a whole traveling around the world in new world is a task in itself whenever you have to travel from one side of it turn them to the other it's going to probably take you a while it's a journey that you don't take lightly it's it's or it's going to cost you quite a bit of as off right it tells me there if i hover over the shrine to teleport here would cost me 105 as off now if i click on this right and i hover over the cost area here it's going to tell me where that cost is derived the base costs for the travel is 50. the distance cost you know how far it is from where i am right now is 15 and then the encumbrance costs aka how much crap are you going to carry with you through this fast travel uh that's 40. so the easiest way to reduce how much it's going to cost you to travel from one side of the this island to the other is to take stuff out of your inventory and put it into storage uh so as an example if i was to put some heavy stuff in my inventory right let's just take all of this all of this stuff here and let's put it in my inventory okay my inventory is just about full and now i was to try to fast travel down here it's going to cost 234 right and we hover over this and it says the bounce uh the base cost is 50 the distance is zero i'm in the same zone but the encumbrance costs 184 holy cow right so then we put this stuff back we open up the map again and we say hey how much to teleport now well 70 instead of 184 right we still have the base cost but the encumbrance cost is substantially lower down to 20. so always bear in mind anytime you want to start fast traveling around the world it's going to uh it's best to drop off as much stuff as you can wherever you are before you travel to that location via the fast travel uh sometimes you don't have a choice sometimes you're carrying something that you need to turn in for a quest right you have a quest ready to turn in there but it requires the ingredient that you're carrying right and so you just kind of have to eat that cost and that's where managing your as off is going to come into play and this is where you're going to bust your ass off farming as off right so how do you get azoth well there's a lot of ways to get as off the main story quest is going to give you as off there's a lot of other quests that give you as off as a reward um perhaps the most reliable way to do it aggressively is to go to these corrupted portals and uh you know these corrupted areas here they're marked by these red uh diamonds on the map if you go to those and you close them that's going to give you as off as a reward and substantial amounts of it usually like 20 or so so it's very much worthwhile to do this if you need more azov for fast travel or if you need more azoth for crafting and these fast travel shrines here uh this is why it's important to explore when you're in these zones right uh it would be very easy to not even know this fast travel shrine existed if i hadn't gone to this shrine you can always tell that something may be a fast travel shrine one you'll see this pillar of light in the distance um that tells you hey there's a fast travel shrine over there if you ever see just one line of light shooting into the sky that's a fast travel shrine go to it and stand on it and that's going to unlock it for you okay and try to uncover these question marks you know you might find elite spawn areas like this one here brightwood isle or very popular one down here is dead men's cove right coming to these elite areas you see with a skull on it uh if you hover over it it says recommended level 25 recommended players five and you go in there with a party and you can just farm elites over and over and over this is one of the best ways to level up your weapon in the game any one of these uh places that's around the level that you are is a great way to level up your weapons so for weapons you come to these elite spawns for your character level you go to these corrupted spawns and alternatively you can do any of the four types of quests to level up both simultaneously albeit maybe a little slower one last way to fast travel is using your in one of the very first things that you should do when you get into your first town in fact i believe the story the main story quest is going to make you do it it's going to tell you to do it you'll get a quest that says hey go talk to that person and turn them into your innkeeper and then what you're going to want to do anytime you move to a new zone and you figure this is going to be your new hub of operations for a while come to the end right talk to them and say guest registration and you're going to make this area your home i'm already checked in here so he's telling me that um but what this allows you to do is you can be on the other side of the world right i could be as far away as possible my bags could be full to the to the max right it could be brimming with inventory weight and to get home it's going to cost me nothing right all the way up here it's a free port to my end but i can only do it once every hour so once every hour you can click on your town with your init and you can click recall to in but you can only do this once every hour so you know you're going to have to kind of plan this out if you leave if you if you're going to go far away try to be far away for at least an hour so that you get the free ride back and you don't have to use your precious ass off right uh too fast travel back home but remember there's an as off cap so don't hoard it you can only hold a thousand as off once you get to a thousand you're just disappearing it into the void anytime you collect it so it's it's another it's another currency where you're encouraged to use it but also to appreciate it you're gonna use it because you don't want to just sit there capped out but you use it to craft as well so it's also important to have some around in the event that you need to craft some gear or in the event that you need to fast travel all right now let's take a look at gear how do you know which gear you should use how do you know which gear you should throw away you know what's the difference between a good piece of gear for you and a bad piece of gear for you well if we look at this page here you can see a lot of information that's not immediately obvious but one of the pieces of information is if you hover over this right here your equipment load right it says i'm at 26 out of 51 i'm heavy my character is wearing a lot of heavy gear right now so that's putting me in too heavy and if we read the passives there the first one light says while wearing light armor you deal 20 more damage and 20 more healing when you're in medium armor in other words uh if you're wearing a combination of light medium and heavy that only tallies up to a total of medium armor well then you get 10 bonus damage and your crowd control debuffs last 10 longer and then finally heavy while wearing heavy armor your dodge is the step right i don't dodge roll anymore i don't even jump it's more of a little side step and my block stability is increased by 15 and crowd control debuffs last 20 percent longer right so this is much more of a tanky kind of loadout so you've got more mobility the lighter you are less mobility but more durability the heavier you are whereas your armor is concerned the weight here is determined solely by the gear that you have equipped not by what's in your inventory so this stuff in your inventory does not have any impact on this passive right here right this is another reason you should not wear shields unless you're wearing sword and board and you're using the shield so don't just slap a shield on your back you don't get the stats for it but you do get the weight penalty so if you're not using a shield don't put it on your back it's only adding to your weight score it's only pushing you into the next weight square uh with no upside on the same token uh one neat trick is that you can put things right on your character in these slots here in any of these slots your potion slots your food slots right when you take them out of your inventory they stop counting against you uh and they just you get to carry them kind of for free right so these 500 bullets these iron cartridges see my inventory weight 107. i take them over here and i put them here in a slot my inventory weight just went to 57. so i get to carry items for free as long as they're slotted here and this does not affect my equipment score right this is determined solely by this gear right here this line that it's attached to so you can carry things for free as long as you put them in these slots so you know if you don't want this working against you uh you can put these here and now all of a sudden you don't have to pay to teleport with that you don't have to pay to you don't have to lose that inventory space uh you're carrying it essentially for free until you decide to unload it but back but back to gear okay so your gear um strength right so i am a strength build both of my weapons are scaling with strength so what am i looking for i'm looking for gear that is strength bonus i'm looking for anything that says hey this does increase strength a double win would be something that said increased strength and constitution so it gives me strength it gives me constitution so i'm getting life and damage that's perfect you know i wouldn't mind that later on you'll get pieces of gear that have multiple stats on them like this this has got strength it's got focus focus isn't doing anything for me i just like the strength um it's got a gem socket you're gonna get a lot of low level gems feel free to use them there's not a lot of use for them later on feel free to throw them into your gear if they look like they'd be useful for you you're going to get better gems later on if we hover over this here this breastplate it gives me 14 strength it's got a gem socket and it also has a passive that's buffing an ability this one happens to be buffing one of my abilities so it's incredibly useful it says clear out now knocks targets back an additional 98 percent now whether this is a good uh a good thing or a bad thing is really going to be circumstantial it's going to depend on the moment and what i'm trying to accomplish uh this basically makes it so that i knock enemies laughably far away um it's great for the memes but in pvp it's not ideal because uh when i knock someone down i want to follow up with damage and if i knock them so far away that i can't hit them anymore i'm basically helping them out right so be sure to pay attention to these stats right this is going to help determine if the item is good for you or not um is it you know is it the right way is it giving you the stat that you're scaling your damage off of and you know is the passive that's attached to it any kind of use for you or is it a bad bad stat for you most people you know especially at the beginning of the game you're just going to be looking for oh i want light decks right i want light armor with decks on it because i want to be in the light category for the 20 increased damage and i want dex to scale my dex damage weapons off of and if i get anything else i'm just going to destroy it i'm going to salvage it right for the repair materials and for the gold so don't overthink it especially early on don't overthink it if it's not obviously better than what you're wearing just salvage it and eventually you will find something that is obviously better than what you're wearing you know some people over scrutinize they're like oh but you know that one's got one extra strength but one less con you know it's it doesn't matter dude it doesn't matter just grab the one you know and get back to having fun don't worry about it that one strength at one con it's not gonna make or break your character and you're gonna find another piece of gear in 10 minutes that might be better than that anyway right the gear in this game drops frequently it drops often and uh especially as you're leveling up you're constantly replacing what you're wearing so don't get too attached to anything and don't over analyze the stuff that you're finding on the way if it looks better put it on and keep going and if it's not obvious you know salvage it and move forward if you're running uh melee weapons then you just slot them here and if you're running a bow or a musket then make sure to put the corresponding ammunition down here otherwise you won't be able to fire it you'll find it on the ground or you'll be able to craft it yourself um and then just drag it over you're gonna unlock these jewelry spots one at a time as you level up first a necklace then a ring and then finally a earring all right now let's talk about storage you have storage shed that looks like this right and it's in every zone and you can throw tons of stuff in here you can throw everything that you find in here but the storage shed has a encumbrance capacity just like you do so you can only throw so much stuff in here it's a finite number of things that you can carry uh in your shed at any moment now each town has its own shed with its own encumbrance so you can fill this shed up in this town and then you can go to the next town and start filling that one up however if your faction doesn't own both towns you won't be able to access the items in the other shed without going to that town and grabbing them or just crafting whatever you need to craft while you're in that town so when i'm crafting in this town that this shed is in the crafting station has access to everything in the shed i don't have to pull it out put it into my inventory and then run to the crafting station i can just go straight to the crafting station and if the materials are in my shed i will be able to craft the item that's very handy and if the materials are in another shed that my faction owns i'll be able to craft from the items in that one as well it's a massive quality of life improvement to being a faction that owns multiple zones that are connected and giving you access to your sheds now your shed does have a finite amount of encumbrance that it can carry but you can upgrade this now how do you upgrade it well every time you do something in a zone literally anytime you do anything in its own i mean if you're harvesting materials or resources if you're doing a quest if you're doing a board daily from that zone you're going to get a reputation in that zone and you'll be able to click on this terror story standing here and this tells you you're standing in every territory and every so often you're going to level in the zone that you're questing or killing things in right and it'll give you options like do you want to increase the amount of xp you earn in this zone do you want to increase the amount of faction standing you earn do you want to increase how fast you mine resources right it'll ask you a few options and sometimes one of the options will be do you want to increase your shed storage space and anytime this option comes up always pick it always pick it it's better than the rest by a margin because storage is going to become such a problem so fast for you you're going to have so many things and sometimes you don't want to take it to the next town or you know because it costs so much to teleport there and you're going to want to load your shut up with as much stuff as possible so that you can craft from that shed in that zone without having to run to the next shed in the next zone right so you want your sheds as big and beefy as possible holding as much stuff as possible so anytime you level up you're standing in a zone and it says do you want to upgrade your shed i highly recommend upgrading your shed okay beyond that i like to choose territory standing i level that up a few times so that i'm getting more levels of everything faster right the faster i'm leveling my standing the more of these cards i'm getting to choose from aka the more passives i get to unlock faster so early on i think it's worth getting territory standing cards so that you're leveling up your territory standing faster and then that will let you get more more of the other cards sooner now these cards do have diminishing returns so after you've put enough points into one it's probably gonna be worth it to dip into something else because you're gonna get a lot for one point compared to what you're getting for one point of your you know tenth point into the other category uh the diminishing returns kind of encourage you to start spreading it around at least a little bit down the road so if you've already put some of your points into um the quote-unquote wrong categories maybe you know you put some into something other than was advised here in this video that's okay um you've just preemptively started the process of spreading things around because of the diminishing returns you're going to encounter later right you didn't break your character or your account you're fine if you ever want to see all of the passives you've unlocked in any zone you can click on your territory settings and then click let's say brightwood and we can see here i've increased my storage by 125 my standing gain is leveling 20 faster almost right i've acquired the ability to own a home here and i can gather 5 faster i do a lot of gathering and i'm pretty satisfied with my standing gain i'm mostly probably going to be choosing between gathering and storage moving forward and maybe some xp gain as well okay now let's say you don't want to craft something or you don't have the ability to craft something or you just need something right you need it and you need it now and you don't want to wait and uh you kind of need it in a hurry right so that's where the trading post comes in all right now let's talk about the trading post okay so if you come up to the trading post you can search for items that you want to buy or items that you want to sell if you want to buy an item let's say i wanted to buy some fiber to craft uh maybe another bag or something right so fiber we search for it and it says 71 cents per fiber they have 1300 fibers available now that's just this zone on this drop down menu i could choose to search all zones boom now we're at 49 cents per fiber simply by checking all the zones right so this allows you to check more than just the zone you're in now however if you check all zones you're going to have to travel to the zone where that fiber is so this fiber is located in windswords so i'd have to travel to winsford to buy this which may or may not be worth the savings for me depending on how many i'm going to buy and how much as off i have to burn or how much time i want to spend running back and forth between two towns so there's a trade off there for you to make but it's really important to know it's really important to check and to see if you could possibly get something for half or a third of the price that you would have to pay for in the zone that you're in so don't forget to check other zones before you buy something and same thing for selling you know if you go to list something for sale maybe you check to see how much other people are buying that for maybe go to the zone where it's the most expensive and sell it there you know and see if people will buy it from you there it is worth noting though that if you list something for sale so let's say we list uh this uh we will list this item for sale here right and i say i want to list it for 2000 gold and i want to list both of them right and it's going to tell you your listing fee there is 158 gold listing fee for this item so listing things isn't free so make sure you don't overprice them make sure you're not listing things that are not going to sell because you're not going to make money you're going to lose money right you're just going to lose the listing fee and then you're going to have that trash item pop back into your inventory later so be smart about what you list for sale don't list garbage for sale don't list things that and don't list things for more than people are going to want to pay for them because you won't gain anything you're just going to lose your listing fee all right one of the true end games to any mmo is well it's fashion right and you can say that i'm lacking fashion right now and that won't hurt my feelings i'm a low-level character on the server right now i agree with you right i want to look better i want to look cooler and in order to do that i've got to go and get to a higher level and unlock more cosmetics but until then what we can do is we can click on an item right and you've got a couple of options one you can dye an item you can choose to diet if you have dyes in your inventory you'll be able to dye the item a different color you can see that you got primary secondary accents and tints that you can use how do you get dyes well you go out into the world and you get fungus and mushrooms and things like that and then you can turn that into dyes when you get the right ingredients and or you can just buy the dyes from traders you can also completely change the skin right if you come from wow or something like that you might know this as a transmog right you can change the skin uh in eso they were called motifs you can change the look so i could change my helmet to this i could change my helmet to any of the helmets listed here so there's this one that i'm wearing i could go to this which is locked i don't have it this one is locked right so there's a bunch that are locked this one looks like it's a cash off item uh this one's here is locked i don't know how to get it says you don't have this item uh this item is an account wide right so anyway any any cosmetics that you have unlocked will be in here and then you can also if you hate your helmet like like i do right now i hate this helmet right i could also choose to just hide it and click confirm and you wouldn't see the helmet at all and you can do this for any piece of gear you can go to your change skin for my chest right this is what i'm actually wearing is uh the breastplate but i have it set up to look like the swashbuckler coat because i thought that hey that looks a little fun so we're trying that out for now and uh maybe down the road i'll find a cool piece of gear and i will want to show that off instead and the same thing for weapon skins if we look at the weapons we can do this and we can see the various different weapon skins that are available uh both in the cash shop and in the game this is the one i'm wearing this was a twitch prime drop and then these ones look like cash shop and i'm not sure what this is all this to say that you can change the appearance of some of the things you're wearing by simply coming in here to this menu you know click the item and then just choose whether you want to dye it or change the skin for now i'm going to wear this helmet and i'm going to pretend like i love it all right uh this game does have the holy trinity of classes it has your tank your healer and your damage dealer in order to be a tank you're going to want to be in heavy armor in order to be a healer you're going to want to be in lights and in order to be a damage dealer you're probably going to want to be in light or medium right uh you're going to want to pick uh you're going to want to use abilities that have taunt and gem capabilities on them if you're the tank and you're going to want to use the life staff if you're a healer and if you're a damage dealer then you're just going to try to do damage wearing anything uh any combination of weapons and skills and passives to do as much damage as possible once you get into pvp abilities that crowd control the enemy become incredibly useful whether they're slowing them whether they're grouping them up um and aoe damage is also going to be really nice so you're probably going to curtail your build to the activity you're doing the best pvp build won't necessarily be the same as the best pve build just keep that in mind if you're someone that plans on doing both activities it won't necessarily be a one-size-fits-all thing okay now let's talk about consumables in the consumables category we've got health potions mana potions we've got food that's gonna increase uh either your stats your luck your strength your ability to mine right food does a lot of things in this game one of the most important ones is it gives you life recovery so while you're out in the wild fighting you're constantly getting health back because of your food this is really going to help your sustain and your longevity when you're out and about questing to constantly have a little bit of health coming back in it means that every time you take a hit doesn't mean you have to chug one of your very you know valuable health potions you can make the cheap health potions um and use the expensive ones to turn in for large quest rewards you know the the board rewards uh for the town sometimes they'll ask you to turn in 10 or 20 potions and if they're asking for strong potions and you turn in strong potions that's uh quite a huge bonus to your xp it's a nice boon so feel free to do that and use the cheap ones or feel free to use these nice big heavy ones when you're doing something difficult or something where your life is in danger oceans are pretty easy to make so make sure you're gathering like blueberries and fruits and nuts and all those things that you see out in the world make sure to gather those put those in your bag and when you come back to the arcana station you will be able to create some potions and the same thing with the travel rations and the light travel rations they're really really easy to make and i highly recommend you always have a bunch on you this is kind of a free get out of jail free card one of these because you can pop one of these let's say you get low and you're running from an enemy if you can create some distance between you and them you can use one of these as a massive healing potion um it will recover 60 health per second for 20 seconds that's really a huge heal over time as long as you don't take any damage so make sure to get some distance between you and the enemy before pressing your travel ration and you have a nice heal over time this is really useful especially like let's say your potion is on cooldown because they have a 30 second cooldown so if you use your potion and bam you take another big hit and you're like i'm about to die well go ahead and eat one of your foods right make some distance eat some food and use that as a heal over time there the food is really cheap to make anyway so don't feel bad about using it all the time all right the next thing is housing in new world you can buy a house in any town the first house that you buy you get a massive discount on so you can either buy the first house right away and take that discount and have a house somewhere early on or you can save it and get a nice house later and get the fat discount on the nice house that you acquire later there's not a wrong or right way to do it it's up to you there's some there are some pros and some cons to having a house and ultimately the pros will outweigh the cons but early on the cons can be kind of tough uh the cons come in the way of property taxes so if you buy a nice house you could have to pay as much as 1 000 gold per week on taxes for owning that house now early on this is quite a bit of gold later on probably not so much right so just keep in mind that if you buy a house make sure you are going to have enough gold to pay the taxes because if you for some reason fail to pay the taxes you will lose the home and all the money you spend acquiring it the upside to having the house is it's a free place to teleport to remember how getting around this game is one of the toughest things about it you have that azoth currency that you're constantly trying not to burn through but you constantly are one of the easiest ways to save your azoth is to have a in in one town and a house in another town don't put them in the same place because it's a free teleport to two different locations if you spread them out you can also increase the amount of storage space you have in town by putting storage containers in your house that's going to increase how much you can store in that town uh you can put incense in your house to give you buffs there's all sorts of things that come with having a house and owning a house so it's worth it to have one it's great to have it in a town that you're going to be doing a lot of things in just make sure to put your in in a separate town from your house one of the first things that you should do when you jump in the game is join a company companies are gonna give you access to a lot of group content in the game from pvp uh to pve to you know you're going to be able to join them for defending invasions for you know war for excursions you know there's a lot of stuff where it helps to have a group of people that you're already acquainted with to get into it easily and it's an mmo right camaraderie uh definitely helps the mmo experience be even more fun and more lasting for yourself you'll find yourself playing the game probably a lot longer if you have friends that you jump on to with to play with every night uh just because you joined a company and you got to know the people inside of it so definitely consider joining a company sooner than later uh and putting yourself out there talking with them making some friends you know and it could have a night and day impact on your experience inside of this mmo and any other all right next let's talk about campsites if you press y this will pop up and you'll be able to place the campsite down boom you click and now it's going to appear in front of you and you're going to be given the option to build this campsite it's going to tell you what materials you need greenwood 5 flint 1. now if you don't have those materials on you fortunately those are the two easiest materials to gather in this entire game right so we turn around boom here's a flint aka a rock on the ground uh and then greenwood is basically just brush right it's just branches uh you can also cut down a young tree but i mean if you just need a few right now all of a sudden i just did those i picked up this like two things and uh here i am i'm putting together my camp so now that my ten so i thought it wasn't gonna work for a second there okay so now that my camp is up i can use it right so i can either interact with this camp or any other fire that you walk up to you can interact with it and craft like basic things that you have on you so when you're making your first set of flint tools maybe on the beach right you go around you pick up some green wood and some flint just like i just did to make this camp right same ingredients and build your first set of tools right your flint mining pick your flint harvesting sickle your flint logging axe your flint skinny knife right getting these early is going to be incredibly helpful um and then if you can find some fibers throw that fishing pole together as well and start leveling these up asap start living him up asap create these items on the beach the second you spawn it should be one of the first things you do when you run into that first fire the other great thing about these camps is if you're uh injured and you walk up to it and you rest your life is going to regen really fast uh it saves you from having to use potions or food or whatever right it's going to give you health back perhaps most importantly is that you can use this as a respawn point so if this wasn't mine i could come up to it even if it was someone else's and i could do all of these things i could craft i could rest i could set it as a respawn point but let's say i ran over here and i died right when i died i would get a few options as far as where it wants to respawn i'd say do you want to respond at your camp do you want to respawn at the you know the town where you're in is do you want to respond at the other nearest town right and if i was way over here maybe killing this bear right this is a long walk you know this is 10 minutes 20 you know 10 minutes 15 minutes of walking to get there so if i'm over there and i die i don't want to spawn back here at town so it's a dangerous fight right there's this this bear in there that's going to maul my face uh i want to put a camp down right next to it and then go fight the bear that way if something happens while i'm fighting the bear i trip over a stick i die i can respawn at the camp right there you know so use camps is kind of like a safe point um to you know if things go awry you can spawn back at the camp and you can save yourself a long run now they do have a cool down so if you die and then you die again immediately you're not gonna be able to spawn at the camp you're gonna have to spawn back in town so just be aware of that limitation it's not infinite respawn or anything like that it does have a cooldown so just kind of be careful of that my camp is tier three you'll get a tier one camp to start and then you'll be able to upgrade it through some quests all right the next piece of advice i'm gonna tell you is to pick up the stuff that you can grab in town for free so sometimes there will be honey in town for free you'll see like a little honey bee nest in town you'll be able to walk up to that grab your honey like this one right here take honey i highly recommend you do this every time it lets you so if you're in town and you can take honey grab it it's great for crafting if your faction owns the town you can come up to the supply carts and you can grab the materials within my faction does not own this town so i can't i can just look at it with envy damn it same thing with a well or if there's a cow in the town be sure to grab the milk be sure to grab the water and then just go and toss all these ingredients uh back inside of your shed it's totally worth doing uh you're gonna be using tons of all of these things to make some nice items in the game some nice food some nice potions that sort of thing okay now let's take a look at the ui in the game this is one of the most amazing uis i've had in any mmo that i've ever played maybe the best mmo uh ui that i've ever experienced if you press tab you know you can see your inventory and we've pretty much gone over everything in here you've got your repair you've got your brow skins you can see how heavy your armor is what weight you're at and how close you are to the next one right 23 would have been the weight limit for being medium and 13 is the weight limit for being light i need to get a lot more light armor if i want to dps or i can stay in heavy if i want to be able to tank right and medium somewhere in between uh you've got your encumbrance score at the top here which tells you what happens when you're unencumbered and what happens when you are encumbered if you ever become over-encumbered you're carrying more than you're capable of carrying your character moves slower and you can't use abilities and you can't teleport just be aware of that you can't fast travel when you're over-encumbered okay uh yeah you can also become so over-encumbered that you can't even move not even a little bit so you this is most likely to happen to you when you're at a crafting bench and you craft a ton of something or you refine a ton of something that used to be in your storage shed now it's in your inventory and you go to leave the crafting bench and you can't move this happened to me i had to have a company member come over and take some of my items from me so i could go turn them into the shed and then they gave them back so i could put those in the shed as well just be out you know just be on the lookout for that anytime you start crafting tons of things at once that might happen and it leaves you stranded if you press o you can see your friends list and you can see who's online who's offline what they're doing you can click on company and you can see which company you're in the leader the name how many claims they own you can click and see your members the rank in the company um you can see the wars that you have going on the siege windows that you're participating in and uh your treasury if you click on the map we've we've touched on what a lot of things on this map mean already but you can see your objectives right here all of them if you click on that you can see all the objectives you have you can see upcoming wars if you click here it's gonna tell me that there's a war six to six thirty uh later today there's a war at four to four thirty today right so these are telling me all of the things that are going on and when they're going on in case i want to participate or in case i'm already participating you've got resource locations uh you this is basically like an indicator on the map if you zoom in enough you can kind of see so there's like a forest here there's a forest area here this biome so it's telling you here you can expect to find green wood now there's much better maps than this online if you're looking for specific materials i highly suggest checking out one of the online resource maps there's a few websites that do it really well check one of them out i'll put one of them i'll put a link to one in the description below uh but you know just know that those might be a little more useful than this uh because this can be kind of hard to spot one of these on this giant map uh you know like this same with the rest of it right you're looking for this or this little symbol it's not that easy but it's there in case you want to use it and then your territory standings we went over this uh in much greater detail earlier but every zone you have a territory standing and you level it by doing pretty much anything in that zone harvesting gathering questing um board missions board things right like anything in the game uh in that zone is going to contribute towards your reputation in that zone just about uh when you level up in that zone you're going to unlock passives in that zone like increasing the amount of storage space or how fast you can standing how fast you gain standing or how much experience you gain when you're turning quests right you can increase all of those things your gathering speed so pretty nice to have next we have our journal this is where you can see every quest that you have going in the game at this moment right and here you can choose to pin them you can click pin and boom now it's going to be one of the quests that you're tracking up here in the top right you can sort them you can click on here you can either just scroll through the list and see all of them or you can click main story to see the main story you can click side stories over here to see all of the side story quests you have right or i can just click faction to jump down on my faction missions and i can pin any one or number of them that i want to now projects same thing you can see the rewards what you need uh as well as paying or abandoning them right here very nice if we go to the characters section we can see our bio there's my name there's my server right here's my title how many uh points i have in the faction and how many faction tokens i have so here's my reputation and how many tokens i have territory bonuses influence twenty percent experience five percent uh if we click on attributes we can see our attributes we can see how many points i have into strength 165. and if i hover over this it says of those 165 61 came from leveling the leveling up your character 16 came from your equipment and then 88 came from item buffs and things that you're wearing you're gonna hover over this to see uh you know a little bit of an explanation of how these weapons are scaling these are primarily scaling off strength these are primarily scaling alt decks hint focus and constitution it tells you constitution is your health uh that's all it does right now is just increase your health so typically if you want to be a strength dps you're going to do a strength and a bit of constitution you're going to want to take a piss you're going to want to pay special attention to these nodes that you unlock along the way you get 50 stamina damage from melee weapons light and heavy attacks and minus 10 decrease in weight of mined items so this goes hand in hand with you know mining so if your strength it kind of helps you be a minor if your dex is going to help you with skinning right you're better at skinning animals uh if you're in saying you're good at harvesting right and we're going to give you bonuses to harvesting right it's kind of encouraging everyone to do their own thing whereas healers hey you're also good at fishing and tanks man you can chop trees down better than anyone else uh your weapon mastery you look at your weapon lines here you can see all of them and how they're falling into line here we've got one-handed weapons we've got two-handed weapons ranged weapons magic weapons largely scaling off events decks strength and dex again a little strength also cool thing is we already know that amazon is planning on adding more weapons to this list so this isn't the end of this expect more to be coming soon i've read a lot about what they might be but i'll keep the theorizing out of this video we'll save that for the next one uh trade skills here are the trade skills that you have in the game remember there's a nice clockwise circle happening here right where you've got uh gathering is where you pick up the raw materials out in the wild right you chop down the tree that's logging you pick you take your pickaxe and you hit that mineral ore that's mining you fish out of the out of the pond out of the lake that's fishing you know right you harvest that bush and uh then tracking and skinning you kill the animal and you skin it right that's that's like your your first stage then you take all these materials and you run them through your refining process right you go to the smelter and you smelt that iron ore and you turn it into iron ingots you take that young wood and you process it you take the rawhide and you turn it into leather right these materials are being turned into materials that you can craft with there's like a middle step before you can craft items generally you're going to have to gather them then refine them and then once you have these refined materials now you can use those to crafts right you can make a weapon out of the steel ingots um and the leather and the wood right you combine you combine that that leather that you made the wood that you made and the steel that you made into a weapon same thing for the armor right that breastplate and so on then last tab here is going to be your achievements you've got a long list of achievements to track and as far as i can tell uh these are going to be account wine because i s we had a character on two different servers and the achievements were tracked from one to the other so that was interesting uh but if i'm wrong on that let me know but on at least two different servers we had the achievement score tabulating uh in two different places so that's cool store here you've got the store which right now is full of some uh consumables like dies um emotes armor skins weapon skins right uh some of your skins and things like that are coming from the store in the game right now it's and as of yet it looks to be purely cosmetic there's no pay to win or anything like that in here which is great news and it'll be interesting to see how they choose to monetize the game moving forward since it is buy to play game and it's an mmo mmos in order to continue to pay the many many devs that are required to produce content for an mmo servers maintaining them right they need to make a lot of money every month and it's going to be interesting to see how they use this cash up to make money every month when the game is by to play right all of this is optional so they're gonna have to put some really enticing things in here and uh i hope they do it carefully and ethically right and uh and we see an amazing cash shop develop here that is enticing without being you know without stepping on any toes and stepping in to pay to win realms and stuff like that uh they've stated that they have no intention of ever letting this game go into pay-to-win territory and i believe them okay settings in the settings section you have you guessed it your settings right uh your keybinds your preferences your gameplay your visuals i highly suggest doing a glance through all of these settings and just seeing if there's something that you want to turn on most likely there is right most likely there's some pretty cool options in here whether it's in your graphics increasing your field of view so that you can see more around your character right you can zoom out just a little bit farther if you're the type of person that likes to see uh see a little bit more of your surroundings especially useful when you're pvp you have that much better of a chance to see someone trying to sneak up on you right yank that field of view all the way over here and your audio your communications this game has an in-game mic system built right uh you don't have to go into discord you can now as soon as you're grouped with someone you just press v v as in voice right by default that is the key and if you press v it is going to allow you to talk to the people in your group and vice versa they'll be able to talk to you so if you're in a group and all of a sudden you hear someone start talking you're not crazy it's not the voices in your head again that's somebody in your group so feel free to take advantage of that system you've got your social and your accessibility and about okay and then finally we have the game menu here you can use this to unstuck yourself if you ever get stuck somewhere in the game this has happened to me already it happened to me once i was jumping down a cliff and i landed between a boulder and a hard place and uh i couldn't move i started to panic and someone's like no no just unstuck go to the settings unstuck or you can type slash on suck right and it will get your character out of that bind it it seems to travel you back in time like i don't know you know to where you were you know 10 meters ago or or 30 seconds ago it seems to be what it did to me the time that i used it you could also come here to recall to your inn if you don't want to open up the map and do it that way submit some feedback accent the game and exit to main menu and if we look at the ui on the main screen so what are we seeing right now the game's telling us a lot on this page right we've got the quests over here we've got our consumables right here our front our our first weapon and our second weapon as well as the skills and any cooldowns that they might be going through right now right so uh there's the cooldown you can see that weapon is on that ability is on cooldown but we've got our mana our stamina and our health if the health bar is white that means it's full we're good okay if it starts turning red and going down well you're taking some damage then at the very bottom of the screen a lot of people ask how do i know what level i am or how do i see how much xp i have it's right here at the very bottom of the screen it's easy to miss and impossible to miss at the same time uh it tells you you're level down the bottom left corner 36 and how far you are to the next level and if you hover over it like so many things in this game if you hover over it it will give you even more information you have 614 000 xp total and you're 27 000 xp away from the next level so many things try hovering over something if something doesn't make sense hover over it might tell you more information okay don't be afraid to try it there's a lot of extra tools this is one of the most amazing uis that i've ever had the pleasure of encountering in an mmo really enjoying it and then there's your chat probably the most finicky thing uh in the entire system is getting used to the chat one of the first things i highly recommend doing is clicking on the feed window right here and then click the cog and here you can decide what you want to be in your feed like this is your normal typical chat that you want to sit in most of the time right uh you might not want to hear like all the people shouting in global and area you don't want to hear people recruiting people right or you know your whole faction constantly talking about battle plans right you just want to play the game right now so you may want some of this stuff muted and then you want um this other stuff in your feed direct messages uh the group that you're in presently your company uh you know that kind of stuff so you can fine tune it here to your heart's desire and i highly recommend taking a moment to do so uh sooner than later otherwise you know you're gonna miss a lot of messages because it's scrolling by with like zone chat and other things that you're not really paying attention to and you're just kind of tuning it out and that's it guys man i think that is it for now that is everything you need to know to get started in new world i hope that this was informational i hope that you learned something i hope you enjoyed it and if you did be sure to let me know down in the comments below that you made it through this entire thing uh and if you enjoyed it be sure to give a like and even subscribe if you'd like to see some more new world content if you ever
