NEW UPDATE! Car Damage, Energy Sword, and Textures! - People Playground Update

hello youtube motogaming here bringing you guys another episode of people playground and as you see from the top of the screen it says pre-release build because we're checking out the beta that you guys can opt into on steam so you're probably asking yourself well what's in the new beta and folks this is probably one of the most exciting updates i've seen in this game also check it out we have a bob and he's jamming out inside of this car and over here we have another bob he's on a bicycle because that's a new item and what we're gonna do let's go and put it in slow-mo let's activate the bicycle he's having a fun little time and this bob is also having a fun little time kind of uh driving distracted with his heavy metal music and here we go oh oh uh this is gonna be bad oh there it goes oh he just kind of bounced off the front you know that's a pretty strong bike so one of the new features here in people playground besides the bike is the whole fact of we could have destructive car crashes because the cars have a damage model now so what we're gonna do let's follow this bad boy and let's see where it ends up all right the car is speeding where's the end in the map oh this is a big map oh it's gonna take a second folks all right here we go car crash time and oh oh um okay so he just halfway went out the window oh dear what just happened here uh he went halfway out the window the door came off the hood popped up for a second and oh oh oh oh that was bad so yes we do have destructible cars and we can go wee there we go oh look there's the fuel cell uh this explodes too i'm surprised did it explode there can i just detonate it probably need to shoot it real quick so yeah this is just one of the new items in the update if you guys are excited for more people playground on the channel maybe hit that thumbs up button and let's do this so that was already really really cool so some of the other new things you're gonna notice the game looks a little bit different there's new textures for a lot of items uh the icons are different some of the actual uh weapons look different like say the flame thrower this has got a completely new texture on it which is really cool to see so let's go and throw this person over here uh do the flames have a new texture they kind of look like they're new but it could be wrong all right so you're on fire you just go over there and do your thing so we do have a new weapon though and this has got to be one oh you're on fire too okay you know you go over there this has got to be one of my favorite new weapons ever this is called the energy sword so they give this kind of like the lightsaber mod except for it's a lot more devastating so check this out we can go yes so watch what it does to people we can go [Music] oh oh there it goes it just yep it just melted that person in half uh that's the thing it wasn't even a slice like you could keep this in to somebody and it'll melt them so if you go right in the head yeah that's that's something so another thing about this uh particular sword and this is probably one of the coolest features of it if we pull out something solid so say like in star wars when you see uh them take a lightsaber and put it through like a blast door you can basically do that with this like it will go through objects so take for instance let's grab one of those and let's grab a normal sword here so we'll do that and let's place a person on the other side by the way let's go and turn that one off that's pretty brutal so watch what happens we go ah see it bounces off i mean i went through it there but that's just kind of a thing that happens in the game uh oh sorry buddy let's get a new one all right so let's get the energy sword now check this out we can go up and look it actually goes through the object which is cool oh we'll go boom but it stops right at the handle there so hold let's get it on this side there we go gotta glitch it through yeah you can go oh and then it stabs and look that is just something like there's a lot of cool things you could probably do with this now i did earlier i tried to supercharge it with a battery it didn't do anything it just made the handle itself a little bit more electrified so you go um but it doesn't actually like overpower the the actual sword which i was hoping there's gonna be like an overcharged mode for it because that would be cool but yeah this is something this is a very cool item and everything just exploded so that was the thing all right so let's go ahead and clear everything again so that's not it there's even more new things in the game i mean i'm probably going to miss a thing or two but this is a cool one so we always try to like build sweet jumps for our creations and you know the ramps i build they're not smooth they don't work really at all but we have a ramp piece now and this goes perfect with the update the whole fact that you have uh destructible cars now so we can load up a car full of people and send them off a ramp so let's go and get a couple people here by the way these uh these work fairly easy so we'll go ahead and get them to get in the sit position and then i'll just grab them actually i don't think i can grab them both like this this is going to be awkward uh here oh i got this i'm just going to move you like this and we'll move your leg and all right your foot and your other foot you're still somewhat together buddy and we'll move you like this you might not have an eyeball after this but that's fine so yeah you could just stick them right in the car so this would be cool for some crash test episodes uh how we were doing the seat belts like this would work so han let's unfreeze them up um there's a potential i bent them a little bit weird uh let's go ahead and get a couple life syringes in there real quick fine buddies we're gonna heal you right up and there you go you're fine and let me find the driver real quick i might have to go over the seat with this one let's pause it go through uh hello mr driver no you're down here somewheres uh on kind of poke there he goes all right so he's alive i mean he's somewhat alive he looks like he's kind of stuck in there but it's fine so let's back this up let's give it a little bit of run up but you got to see this this makes it run so smooth so here we go check out the jumping action now look at that look how smooth it is and i didn't freeze the ramp like it probably to be a little bit smoother if i would uh actually freeze it also the person's head just smashed into the seat up there oh that is cool and watch the landing here and boom oh okay wear your seatbelt folks yeah they're going to speed off over there so another idea ahead with this uh why don't we try to create a loop now you can't do a full loop because everything's 2d of course so if you were to loop around you would loop kind of back into the ground of course you could make a big circle and then put something in it and make it spin but maybe we'll do like a half loop so let me go ahead and pause the game here uh let's freeze this item so if i were to stack these like so this should create a smooth transition and we can at least get a half loop going here so we can go one there one there and then maybe one up here that should give us our half loop or somewhat of a half loop it's not exactly a half loop so we'll do that we'll freeze these so there's a lot of stuff we could do with this so let's see if a car can make it and then maybe we'll see if a bike can make it we might have to make a rocket bike all right let's go boom all right here he goes and look at that oh that was smooth up and the uh got a little bit of damage on the car there uh the damage is cool like it's not like beaming g destruction but having something besides just the car exploding is cool so if you get like some wicket crashes you can oh there goes the engine oh so yes if the engine falls out the car stops running which is a neat little feature yeah that's definitely something that's cool i wonder if we can overcharge the engine like can we do something with this piece can we power it back up pawn real quick before we put rockets on stuff uh can we repair this okay so you can't actually like repair this one item it doesn't sound like it's running so i don't know if you could actually hook something up to this to get it running again i guess that'd be a cool little uh experiment to do real quick let's go boom ah do you sound like you're running no i don't think it's doing anything that would have been kind of a cool little feature but nonetheless it's still cool to have the engine block actually fall out of the car and the fuel tank okay so we totally have to do watch by the way this episode's gonna be all over the place like i don't have set themes here we're just checking everything out but what i do want to do let's go ahead and put you on this bike and i think we're gonna need some assistance via rocket okay so we're just gonna strap you down buddy it's gonna be a okay so let's go boom and boom now i've been trying to attach them like to get them to sit on the bike i kind of like how you hold a gun and i haven't been able to do that so i don't know if they do have like a position they can actually just sit on the bike and i don't have to attach them to it that'd be kind of cool but i haven't quite figured that out yet i like i said this is fresh impressions i just uh booted up the game and kind of went through a couple of the items real quick all right so we're going to attach this to the back of the bike here and there you go we have a rocket bike oh he looks so happy or unhappy also can i manipulate this down here oh look at this we can actually work the pedal so it does work so if i were to move it back and forth you can get it spinning that's so cool all right folks we're ready to go let's go ahead and activate the bike first so it's now spinning and we want to definitely follow this let's see if we can get some sick tricks here let's activate that oh yes look at this oh it's working that's amazing on land let it let it let it oh oh oh oh he totally landed that haul let's go back up up on all right on there we go rocket bike he looks like he's having so much fun right now oh he's gonna catch on fire because of the uh the rocket there here we go going for the another loop yeah buddy okay he's fine oh the rocket just fell off i thought that was indestructible oh jeez it just came back and hit him in the head though the bike's fun i like that a lot oh no he's stuck inside oh it's destructible i didn't know that so that's fun that's a lot of fun also while i'm thinking about it this has been bugging me i had to remind myself komodo you need to try this the energy sword can it actually affect the android i'm sure it does but how does it affect the android is my question so if i go oh it melts it just the same look at the cutting action like you can cut right through stuff look at that that oh that's something all right this thing spins a lot and i think we're done alright so time to move on to the next thing so we totally have to do a car crash here let's see if we can get two together i guess another thing i should try real quick is the destruction points of the car so we made the fuel tank fall out but if we hit right here right around the cap actually does the trunk work wait does that open i tried activating that or did i just pull it oh i just pulled oh that's the trunk uh the little handle there wait can we stuff a body in the trunk all right this is the questions that need to be answered here let's go knock him out okay i didn't want to kill him huh let's try that again so say we're like some sort of mobster or something huh where's my bad at there we go we gotta conk somebody in the head here so we go uh conk there we go and then we just grab you and then we all right can we go in the trunk can we go in the trunk this is weird it looks like we somewhat can here can you go inside will you fit in here ah you know what it's fine i was hoping we can use oh that fell off wait can we use it now you know what there's a piece of them going inside of the trunk i wonder if i have to do it kind of have to do the card like like can i do it like this no he's not okay well i mean it's close enough i mean you can see one side of his leg disappeared behind the trunk so it's like you can somewhat use it i might have to look at that a little bit uh by the way uh the doors they open like that like those uh are they called gold doors i think it's what it's called i can go bloop and pop it up yeah to get a sweet set of those on the truck that'd be awesome all right so let's test the weak points here like what can this car do this is actually going to be really cool because we could start making like armored cars like it would make a lot more sense in the previous things we had also can the buses be destroyed uh maybe oh the seats move now i think that's actually new so that's a thing uh what about the semi huh so the wheels yeah it pops apart so that's about all you can ask for what about the tank all right so we have the tank here if it gets blown apart does it actually break no oh there it goes yeah there's pieces coming off it now it's cool okay so let's try destroying this so say they get ambushed here by the mafia uh what do we want to try hmm maybe the light machine gun here we got to put a person in here too to see how much the the car protects them all right so we have a person in the car here we go and all right so they're balancing oh some of those bullets are ricocheting oh man they just got nailed through the car oh okay so yeah you can go right through the window all right so what if we worked on the back side of this thing can we actually hit the fuel tank oh there it goes oh that was cool so does the motor explode oh it's on fire the cars oh that's the person in there i think oh can we blow out tires uh it kind of gives off like a missed effect but i don't think the tires are actually blowing out oh there we go the car is on fire now man it's incredible what this game is capable of like if you look at when the game first came out like it was kind of almost like a basic ragdoll you know destruction game you can play around with them all this guy's getting rolled over here it's fine oh oh that oh that's brutal oh oh that is not a fun death there yeah it's amazing uh how far the games come so what if we get two high-speed vehicles and let them crash together so let's go boom and then i'll get one on the other side of the map and spawn it in and we'll see if they crash all right i gotta at least put a person in one of these because i want to see them fly out what if we try to give them seat belts i mean that could be a thing we used to always do that in the cars we created so if we go boom how would you put somebody in a seatbelt though oh put your head back a little bit uh belts normally supposed to go from like the top this isn't it's going to be dangerous it's fine it's fine we don't need safety safety is not a thing in this game all right so let's go f uh let's get this moving all right here we go high speed car crash waiting for the other car it's gotta be oh there it is all right here we go and oh okay so sp high speed car crashes might not be the the best thing as far as two cars making a head on impact but i mean you're getting damaged i wish there was a maybe another piece that came off besides just the motor because it's weird it popped out actually popped out on the other car but it's still pretty cool like we could probably make like a brick wall and have it go through those i think that would be a pretty cool setup so here let's play some of these and have this fly through i'm assuming this is gonna do damage to the car all right let's test this versus the bricks all right slow it down where's the brick set all right they're coming up all right let's do this in slo-mo so do we think the guy's gonna be okay here oh he's moving around a little bit and oh no those are strong that is much stronger than i thought it would be i like how the guy just got like embedded into the front uh what the heck these break don't they yeah these break uh i guess we just weren't going fast enough i mean we couldn't make like a rocket car oh there goes the engine i guess that's what we were following with the camera oh that's cool all right well the guy's definitely dead oh boy oh there goes the vehicle rolling back on let's uh place another car here let's go ahead and just destroy it real quick what happens if we do hit it with the new because it's same result also is there anything new here i don't think any of these are new uh let's go should we do the atom bomb or is that too much no let's do it all right here we go three two one go oh so please tell me at least blew off the doors oh i think i just saw a door fly by um oh what's this oh there's doors flying by okay we got doors where's the where's the bodies of the car [Music] oh what's this oh that's something flaming that's an engine okay i like the smoke effect on the engine that's really cool where did the bodies go oh here they are oh oh the wheels stayed on wait the wheels can come off can't they let's come off on other stuff oh there it goes takes a little bit for the wheels to come off i figured an atom bomb would do it but look at that you can see the the char effect on the wheel there it's kind of cool oh boy this is a cool update and now it's a question of is there gonna be a little bit more is this just kind of in beta testing uh also the blood tank looks different the new texture on this thing uh there's new textures on a lot but this one looks a little bit different do we have a new blood texture for this so if we uh pull that look different now it kind of looks the same but it's got like a different shading to it like everything just looks a little cleaner it almost looks like a fresh new game even the blood might be slightly different that's a thing but yeah i'm definitely digging what they're doing here because there's a lot of cool stuff so if you guys want to check it out like i said you can't opt into the beta now i don't know when the actual update's gonna come out there's a chance it
