NEW Tractor and a Tire Swap!!

like Oregon Trail in a [Music] tractor hi I'm Tony fast daughter I'm Tony fast daughter I'm Tony fast daughter our family has been blessed to farm in Montana for over a 100 years now and it wouldn't be possible without the great team we have and blessings from our Savior Jesus [Music] Christ well a teal truck's out of the shop or I guess it's technically turquoise truck but uh yeah we did a few things to it one of the things was the air conditioner compressor was dirty and rattling the clutch was so we put a new air conditioner in there and recharge that um it's got new turbo on it it has rebuilt injectors and a pistonless rebuild kit put in it so 1.3 million on the speedometer for the miles actually it's an odometer that's on the speedometer but uh yeah it looks like a pretty nice truck I'm not sure if we're going to keep it or not just don't really need six of them and this one's all nice and cleaned up and ready to sell so it's for sale so a 1996 with a 346 e 18s speed trans transmiss 355 your ends uh pretty good tires up front good tires in the back so yeah pretty nice truck but we just don't need it thought I'd stop and look at some of the first winter wheat that we planted it's got a little tail to it see I can get better focus there we go little bit of a tail it's got a ways to go yet but we did just get a little bit of moisture so um can't quite make a clot out of it which is a good thing in a way there's plenty of organic matter in there so well winter wheat is coming along I guess well it is time to put the fatties back on the sprayer because if we do any spraying this fall yet I don't want to be running around on those rough riding things I want my nice cushy lsws back on it so let's do that you got bulk it up put some fat on it well there's also that I'd rather have those tires in the shed than just laying out in the ground yeah that thing is always cutting into a recording and phone calls and F calls and that is one uh 10 of the 16 stickers TJ left on this yard when he was here some on the air seater pickups some I don't think sem I've seen yet they're everywhere thanks TJ we got to be taller for the taller tires yeah as long as I go in there in the first place if you guys missed it this spring we got the Tire Grabber system goes on The Skit Steer and their Jacks they're all self-contained they work awesome they'll work on any they got a like a it's so nice they got adapters to make it work for even like the Nitros or the big new tall new Hollands or heggies whichever so if you're looking for something super safe to change [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] laah [Music] [Applause] [Music] time to haul some germ by the way it's cold it got down to 23 like first freeze of the year is 23° woo Jake brake season right so for those of you that are maybe new to the channel um you see this sign coming up right here Hill 1 mile it's pretty good Hill so we try and slow down as best as we can before we get to the hill so we don't have to use our brakes because nobody likes to change brake shoes so this is the actual Hill um maybe half mile long and may be 5 well when you have plans for the day they're going to change so the elevator was taking in lentils and they use the same pit for lentils as they use for Durham so we're back at the farm cuz it's they don't like switching back and forth all the time don't blame them cross contamination whatever so anyway we're back at the farm and we'll finish blowing off this header maybe we can get it put away today well I got as far as I could but I need to get the combine started so of course combine won't start so now we're cleaning up battery terminals cuz I worked on it for an hour trying to jump it off the service truck still won't start so we'll see what we find here and I've already tested but I thought I'd show you the needle is showing 13 volts but you put it on bad or on the test and the needle drops to the bad right in the center on that battery the other battery it shows good same voltage and you put it on the test load and it shows okay so there is definitely one bad battery and the connections were a little cruddy so I did get those cleaned up so put it back together and see if I can't get it started let just see if it starts without any jumpers on it no all right service truck is hooked back up jumper Cable's on nothing frustrating well we must have got our wires crossed at the elevator apparently they're not taking Durham Tim did get unloaded but they told us not to come back till Wednesday so we're going to pick up a tractor today remember that one we looked at or I looked at with way too many tires on it yeah that one well I asked him if he wanted to drive the tractor or the pickup and he said he didn't pay close enough attention getting here so he's driving the tractor home so I can flag for him this is a little different view headed home with the new tractor and nice ride few flat spots in the tire right now but uh otherwise not bad so took about 2 hours to get over here in the pickup because of course most of it's gravel road but um give it a shot testing out the uh Midland handheld radios Tony's running out in front of me might just be able to see him out there he's kind of running flag for me because triples get you a little wider than normal so you know I'm only taking up about 34 of the road or so let's you know how it goes triples and narrow Bridges oh and had a couple feet on each side oh we got plenty of room thank like Oregon Trail in a tractor P area well the Modern Day Oregon Trail trip in the new tractor continues there Buffalo out there pretty Wide Open Country haven't had to stop and unload the wagon with supplies to climb any Hills so hopefully we make it to the next Supply Fort um before Susie falls off the wagon and dies with malaria or whatever it is I you know how long it's been since I played the Oregan Trail game wow anyway so far not a bad ride a little rough on the washboards but on the road but um got to be way over half I would think oh man it's like two in the afternoon already anyway got lights if it gets too late well Tim just drove it what 4 hours here oh my God nothing smells weird everything seems fine like to use a little paint refresh which might be able to get some of that back we'll see I think it is kind of thin but yeah pretty uh pretty solid tractor for the money for sure so we'll see if we can't get a heavy Harrow rented to or maybe even buy there's one coming up on an auction my you snag that and then all of the soft fly and uh hail damage thought about heroin that try to get those heads broke up and get that seed growing so we'll see if we get that done here hopefully but uh yeah it's here at one of the
