NEW FALL 2020 STUDIO MCGEE X TARGET | Must Haves | The Rug Show

oh my gosh hi everyone my name is arvin olano and welcome to my youtube channel okay nobody asked but when i woke up this morning i saw that studio mcgee announced their fall collection with target [Music] so in today's video i'm going to be talking about my must-have pieces from the collaboration and some shopping tips on how you can get your hands on your favorite items now before i begin if you're looking for a channel that's going to help you live your style so that you can live a fashionable life this is it so you can go down below and hit that subscribe button you guys would know if you've been following my channel that one of my og videos is a studio mcgee collaboration with target review and i have so many of her collaboration pieces from target and they are some of my favorite items here in my home actually this little rattan side table is from her first collection and it dropped earlier this year it sold out so quick which is why i am filming this video for you guys today so that you can create and start saving up for your wish list so that when it drops you can get everything that you want now i will say that her collection is probably slowly trickling in to your local target stores and that's how i got all of my pieces it came out maybe a week to two weeks earlier than the drop date make sure you go online to target and start putting your items in your favorite list that way when it drops on september 13th at midnight you can check out right away before everything sells out so let's get on with my must-have pieces from the collaboration because you guys it is so good so i have my phone out here because i want to reference some of the photos on target.com and i want to start with the larger furniture pieces first because they are so substantial and i feel like they can really impact any space so first up is the harryman console table in the natural wood tone color now this piece is absolutely breathtaking i love the clean modern lines and the groove detail on the drawers is stunning what's great about studio mcgee is her pieces are so transitional and they work in a lot of different interior design styles i can see this table in a more traditional space but it can definitely work for mid-century modern or bohemian as well now this console is coming in at 249.99 this is a great price for such a substantial piece of furniture that is sure to work in your home i feel like this announcement is one of the best things to happen in 2020 and i'm not gonna lie i watched all of studio mcgee's videos during the last few months i've binged all of her projects and i've soaked up a lot of her design tips and the way she put things together it's no secret that i draw a lot of inspiration from the way they put together their spaces because it's so beautifully designed it's casual yet elevated and luxurious at the same time and not everyone can afford a custom home designed by studio mcgee but everyone can go to target so i love this collection you guys and can you tell i'm getting really worked up oh my gosh let's move on to the next piece which is going to be the taylorsville spindle accent chair now i'm looking at the photo it comes in two colors there's black and natural wood this leans a little more kind of farmhouse traditional but what i love about it is the cushions are upholstered in a faux sherpa material or like a faux boucle material this is a very trendy fabrication at the moment and oh my gosh so the cushions are strapped onto the chair in the back and you can see the white wrapping around the wood frame and that detail is oh it's so signature to studio mcgee it's all about those little details that make a piece feel more luxurious than what it is and the chair is coming in at 229 i mean you cannot beat that price it's such a great little accent chair and i'm thinking about the black one for myself because i love all the details you guys the next piece that i want to talk about is the elroy sherpa accent chair with wooden legs now when i'm looking at this piece to me it looks so luxurious so comfy again it's upholstered in that faux sherpa material which just screams cozy luxe and inviting i love the color and the substantial design of this piece and because it's elevated from the ground it's gonna work really well in a smaller space now one thing that shea recommends is to mix and match your furniture pieces in your home and i think that's what really sticks out to me with the way she puts together her projects it's all about the way you put together different elements and different pieces to create a space that is unique to you i can tell there's so much love and soul that went into this collaboration and you can really see all the design elements that studio mcgee is notorious for and this chair is no exception now this piece is coming in at 249 and make sure you don't sleep on it because this is one of those pieces that are going to sell out for sure so up next is the elroy sherpa ottoman and i love this piece because i can see two of them paired together in a really cozy living room i can even see them placed underneath a console to add that layered effect and it has a darker walnut colored wood and i love mixing my wood tones and i learned that from shane mcgee and oh it's just so so cute you guys it's round and plush and i'm gonna have to get this ottoman i'm gonna have to get two because you can't just have one and with the holidays coming up how cute would this be in a living room setup it's coming in at 89 and this is a no-brainer okay so up next i want to talk about some of my favorite rugs in the collection and wait should i do the rug show for the studio mcgee [Music] collaboration [Music] that was a lot of dancing for this morning so i am out of breath i need a drink so the first rug on my list is the digital print floral persian rug now a 7 by 10 is coming in at 259 oh my gosh i'm out of breath this rug you guys is absolutely breathtaking i love the muted green tones now it is machine made and crafted in polyester you guys know i love a good wool rug but because it's studio mcgee i'm sure it's gonna be so so nice and the quality is going to be on point now i can see this rug in a more modern traditional home or even a bohemian home as well because of the print honestly a good persian rug will work in any space and it gives off such a beautiful beautiful vintage vibe oh hi gingy come here hi hello hello let's move on to my next favorite category which is lighting now i feel like studio mcgee and her team went in she went in on the light fixtures for this collection because you guys this is incredible so the first piece in the lighting category is the metal sconce in the brass color now i have been looking for affordable wall sconces that have this angular shade and this is very reminiscent to a piece and a collection in studio mcgee's main line that costs hundreds of dollars per light and this item is only 60 each you guys 60 dollars and it looks so expensive i am for sure going to get brass and the black because i don't know which one i like better and i'm gonna put it in their bedroom it's going to look so good with my crate and barrel art piece and it's really going to help finish my bedroom i love a good layered lighting situation in a home so there's so many different styles that have this lampshade there's a chandelier coming in at 100 and it is available in black and in brass it's also coming in a pendant light great for a kitchen moment also 100 each the floor lamp in this collection comes in black with a white lampshade this is high on my list coming in at 90. it's so so chic and i'm getting so anxious just thinking about this collection because i want all of these light fixtures you guys it is incredible the buffet stick lamp is so delicate and so beautiful there's a screw detail in the middle of the lamp again all those little details that studio mcgee is known for is present in this collaboration i'm probably gonna have to order both the black and the brass because i can't decide which one i'm going to like better i can already see this piece on top of my pier console table and it's coming in at 45 again these prices are just out of this world you cannot beat it and i highly highly recommend up next is a large seagrass pendant with a 27 inch diameter it's coming in at 200 i love this piece because it's a great way to make that statement in your living room or your bedroom you know i love a good seagrass piece and for 200 i feel like this is not bad i'm sure the quality is going to be on point all of my seagrass pieces from the collection is stunning so up next i want to talk about my favorite art pieces from the collection now you guys know i keep it real i keep it 100 with you guys so let's just get this out of the way there's an art piece that says today is a good day we don't want her we don't need quotations art pieces in our space so let's move on to the other beautiful pieces she has in the collection the first one is the on sunset mesa medium wood framed wall canvas oh that was a that was a lot this piece is 27 by 47. it looks massive and i love this so much it's priced at 27 oh not 27. it is priced at 70 you guys that is such a good price for an abstract landscape piece and the colors are so muted i love the rosy kind of peachy sunset tone perfect for fall up next is a set of two abstract shaped print now i love these because they're so so neutral it's white and beige of course totally matches my vibe actually one of them reminds me of my piece here that i have from home goods and i love this set because you can create a little vignette a moment especially next to an accent chair and this is 20 by 24 coming in again at 70 dollars you can't go wrong the next art piece that i want to talk about is the dreary abstract landscape piece it's 36 by 36 and coming in at 75 and this piece is breathtaking you guys wow oh my gosh wow i love a good landscape piece and so does studio mcgee i can see this in a coastal home or even a cozy minimal home i just love how simple and muted the colors are you can't go wrong with this piece and highly highly recommend the next art piece is a tiny landscape piece framed in a vintage kind of gold frame now the first collection had something very similar it's coming in at 18 and it was so so popular all of the home decor accounts on instagram had it um i unfortunately did not get it because it was sold out everywhere and for 18 can't go wrong where are you going okay you gonna go to home goods all right i already sent andrew to go look at target just in case some new end pieces dropped here in vegas i want to quickly talk about one faux plant which is a artificial olive tree and olive trees are very hard to take care of especially if you leave it indoors and you don't have a lot of natural light this is a 76 inch olive tree holy crap it's a hundred fifty dollars which i know is really expensive but if you pair it with a rustic kind of vintage pot it's gonna look so so beautiful you guys wow so last but certainly not least i want to talk about the pillows and textiles from the collaboration because well let's face it studio mcgee is notorious for their textiles and the way they layer different prints different textures is so iconic and these pillows are so beautiful first up is the square dobby striped throw pillow and i love the dainty details of this pillow and the burnt kind of burgundy tassels screams fall winter and it's sure to layer so beautifully in your couch this season it's coming in at 22 the next pillow on my list is the woven textured striped lumbar pillow i can see this in a cozy bedroom i love the neutral colors and even though this is a very fall inspired collection i can totally see this in a bedroom or in a home all year round which is so perfect this oversized lumbar is only 22. are you kidding me this price is so so good and they also have it in a square pillow and a smaller lumbar as well up next in the textile department is the boucle throw blanket it's a large 50 by 60 throw blanket coming in at 40 dollars again get cozy this season and get you some boucle it's available in a variety of colors just like the pillows there's taupe there's rust and there's cream i'm probably gonna go for the taupe because i love those cozy neutral colors there is so much to fall in love with in this collaboration and congratulations to shane mcgee and her team for such an amazing fall collection i am going to keep you guys in the loop of what i'm going to purchase i'm sure i will film a complete youtube video of all the pieces that i'm going to order and ah i am so so excited i hope you enjoyed
