Sorry, I just cannot warm up to the new BMW grill
I can not believe for a second the GT4 only does 0-62 in 4.4. Just no way. Similar no way I believe the M4 is only 500hp or it only does 3.8 0-62 with cup2 tires.
Also a bit disingenuous to quote the 718 starting at 75k when the GT4 STARTS at 101k and can easily top 130k when you add leather, racing seats, CF trim, etc. M4 Comp really is 75k starting and hits 85k when you add in racing seats, CF trim, executive package etc.
Both having Cup2 Tires as options from dealer/factory is awesome. I love these tires and they really help get every ounce of performance out of the cars. Both cars giving an option for manual is nice, but damnit BMW restricting which trims you can get it in sucks.
M4 still having 2 pot single piston rear brakes is a travesty. And hideous. Way out of pocket when every other model in its price range has 4 pots. Heck the M2 have 4 pot rears...why why why
M4 still fighting steering feedback. Not sure they'll ever get over that criticism hump while maintain modern safety standards. Cars are just too big and too electronic.
Give me a GT4 any day of the week. Maybe a fair comparison would have been the 718S for price sake? Even a GTS4.0 gets over 100k with seats and CF trim.

I dont even care how much faster the M4 might be, or might not be, I'll take the Cayman all day solely for the looks.
Getting kind of bored of how there's always little discussion about literally everything else about the M4 (driving dynamics, interior, etc.) because it always devolves into the damn grille. We all have eyes, we've said the same things over and over again, let's move on.
Someone should make a comparison video with the new M4 against the 5-year old Camaro SS 1LE so I can watch the $85k M4 lose AGAIN to a hot wheels car.
