hey YouTube I hope everybody's doing great we're here checking out these new 2024 Toyota Tacomas and we're here for a little bit of a different reason why are these not selling it's Nationwide right now these are brand new they should be super hot what's going on why are they not selling and that's why we're out here in the rain let me tell you the biggest reason why for sure 100% let me walk back here and show you this for a lot of Tacoma drivers this might shock you $50,000 for a Tacoma with a four cylinder um so that's a lot of money you know there's no way to rephrase that I mean that is a lot of money you are getting a you're not even getting a full-size truck you're getting a smaller truck $50,000 now to be fair MSRP down here you got a you're at 429 40 42960 and then there's some add-ons and then you have destination everything U but this dealer does add a little a pretty big package almost $3,000 uh so that's that's quite a bit and this one is nice I mean it's it's sweet you know 4x4 TRD Offroad this is is the one you want if you're going to get one but it's a four banger 50 g Tacoma it's just too much it really is and I'm not even going to say this is their biggest issue right now because I'll show you something in a second that might shock a lot of people um but even here we have some base models basically let me show you the price on these it's an SR5 yeah SR5 we're at 372 not okay not too bad but then after destination everything you're at 40,000 395 uh then you have they $3,000 package which I'm not paying that but uh it's just it's too much it's definitely too much and you got your dock fees and all that which we're in Oklahoma so dock fees are not crazy like some other states uh generally dock fees here are $ to $400 but I mean I've seen thousand I've Seen Crazy doc fees uh so it's an expensive truck and you're getting a 4 cylinder Tacoma and you're about to pay $50,000 so I'm not sure what Toyota's going to do and especially right now with high interest rates there's just a lot going on when it comes to discounting and rebates and Toyota is not known to have the biggest rebates that's not what they do uh and it I like the design I like the look but it's just you know they're going to probably have to do something these are going to start piling up and everything I'm seeing online they are definitely piling up uh for being a new truck out they should definitely be selling faster than they are uh but interest rates are not helping for sure but Toyota does always normally offer some sort of special interest rate and that's kind of their incentive and then military and stuff as well get like 500 but uh sweet truck just too much money but wait one second let me show you you Toyota's possibly a bigger issue right now and I've seen this this is been out longer so it doesn't have as much hype around it but it definitely they're piling up everywhere let's take a look at this I have not seen this many trucks in one place in about 4 years ever since Co basically 3 years however long it's been and I'll just pick one randomly let's just go to a random truck here a Tundra 4x4 just guess I already know it's going to be crazy $70,000 I mean that is and this is a nice truck you know it's but it's still I believe yeah the V6 I mean yeah it's yeah I just wow that's a lot of money and it's leather and all that um but you're literally getting a V6 turbocharged truck for 70 grand and this platform is not been the most reliable uh you you can look at forms you can go online you'll see it has not been the most reliable so I hope the Tacoma is and I know I don't think it's a new engine in the Tacoma but I'm not 100% sure on that uh Toyota is normally good about slowing things down they don't rush to turbos they don't rush things they always slow down take their time and that's why they have their name that they have and their reliability they're known to be reliable they're known to be great cars but they might have just stepped up a little too high on the price um these trucks are just getting outrageous they really are and I know this one right here I can tell it's a hybrid I want to look it has the the I force Max let's see how much this one is yeah 75,000 that's a lot of money and with the interest rates how they are right now um and most people Finance their vehicles and most people Finance more than they probably should uh I mean you're looking at a crazy payment I mean this payment on this this is a $1,200 payment like literally it's it's crazy I don't know how people can really uh afford that right now but definitely starting to pile up as you see they have more tundra or yeah more Tundras than anything and they've been like this for a while uh and this is a great dealership I do see that $3,800 but I bet they'll work with you and I actually I like this dealer they they even have a Chevy dealership during Co they did not charge markups on ch8 which I mean that was free money for any dealership that wanted to charge markups you could have and they did not so I will give them props 100% they did not do markups on c8s uh but that's not why you guys are here I will say 100% the Tacomas are overpriced and that's why they're going to slow slow down if this one could be in the low3s it'd be sound like crazy and if this one could be in the mid-40s low 40s it'd be sound like crazy and that's where it should be and I can tell you if if I'm a if I'm buying a Toyota right now and I would definitely go more 4Runner I'm I'm a fan of it I like it I'm going to miss the V6 because I think they're even making a new 4Runner and so everything's all changing in the Toyota Land it's all going to be different but uh just a lot of changes coming yeah leave a comment let
