Never Mess Up Your DOUBLE LIFT Again!

hey what's going on guys my name is Steven hammer and today we're going to talk about a thing that some people fear a double lift now the double lift doesn't have to be feared believe me I know when I first started though it was one of these scariest moves to do like trying to turn over two cards as one without being caught but today I'm going to teach you a moves that I've been doing for the past two years and it's an easy way to execute the double lift that flows into the double lift without worrying about maybe turning over one card on accident or maybe turning over three cards and you're freaking out and what do you do next today we're going to move that I like to do to set up for the double if to insure me victory every single time that I do the double lift so grab your pack of playing cards and let's get started on an easy way to set up and do the double lift how did I do that how did I do it for this video I'm going to be using the black mint deck from the 52 card collection okay guys hopefully you've grabbed your pack of playing cards and now let's get started if any of you guys have been watching me for a couple years you guys will know that I like to do a lot of easy moves and magic and this is one of those moves that I love doing if you watch me in my past videos you'll see me use this move all of the time your spectator gets this card selected boom the ace of diamonds this is the card that we need to remember okay so your spectator selects a card and maybe you want to mix the cards up or whatever you guys want to do so maybe that you just need to remember what that card is okay so to make sure that you get that double lift here's what you guys got to do say you want your spectator to touch any card and any card that they touch will be their card the ace of diamonds here's all you guys have to do their card is actually over here on top of the deck it's right here what I like to do to set up for the double lift instead of you know panicking about am I going to get two cards or am I just going to turn over one whatever the case the two of spades that is my favorite card in the deck sorry I got a little excited but I love the two of spades I don't know I just think looks cool anyway anyway back to the tutorial so here's what you guys want to do to do the double what I like to do is okay boom okay you touched one car to the neck one's ear card right here the spectators like yeah so while I'm talking to them or whatever with this hand over here alters casually catch a small pinky break boom just like that okay maybe my hands down to my side or whatever so while I'm talking to them hey wouldn't be crazy if this was your card do you remember what your card was what was your card for example it was it a king what was it and they were like oh it was the ace of diamonds boom just like that and there's the ace of diamonds from there doublelift clean up get rid of it whatever maybe you snap and their card comes back to the top okay so you can do this a bunch of ways keep their cards controlled to the top of the deck I use that overhand a shuffle weird way that's that swing cut overhand shuffle I've taught this on my channel before ace is right there okay so if you want to do this your spectator will touch any card or whatever maybe you're doing a color change then you could be like oh look your card is right here you remember what your card was pinky break what was it it was a 3 or whatever it was oh it was the ace of diamonds you already have that pinky break loaded you're ready to go you have no excuses to pull off this double lift and there's third card so do that double lift to get rid of it whatever snap your fingers and their card is there the whole time it's an easy way to do this I love doing it especially with like color changes I'm going to grab a deck of playing cards that has another color like a red and a blue deck to show you guys what I mean I tried to find the the raspberry mint deck with the the double backer but I couldn't find it so anyway I'm just going to use this red this red deck okay so you get your spectator to select the card okay maybe you can do this with the best card trick in the world or any kind of color change so the seven of diamonds okay remember the seven of diamonds the seven of diamonds gets cut in the pack magical snap absolutely nothing happens except one card changes color boom one card is now blue and if you look one card is bluh and what I like to do is slide that card off do you remember what your card was and while I'm doing that I will come over here and I will push over that top card like this get a little break underneath that card and be like what was your card again what was your card and they'll say whatever it was and boom there's the seven of diamonds now the cool thing with this trick is that all I have to do is just rub and it will change color and that blue card is no longer in existence but that's one way I like to do it with this red and blue double backer for like a card change or whatever is to do something like that so say whatever their card was boom you come over here you catch a little pinky break underneath that top card you place that card back on top you ask them a question what was your card blah blah blah blah boom you turn it over and you're done that is an easy way to do this move and like I said all you have to do is have this card in your hand direct them to this card over here and with your hand to your side down to your leg or whatever catch a little break bring the focus back to this card keep it on this card blah blah blah blah blah bring the card back on top and say what was your card again oh it was the whatever and then boom there's your card from there do whatever cleanup you want to do whatever a magic move you want to do get rid of your cards and that is an easy way to do the double lift without getting caught and that is all there is to setting up to do that double lift I know it is the easiest way possible that I can teach you guys how to do the double lift without telling you guys how to do a strike double lift up a pushover double lift all of these double lifts that exist in the magic community this is probably the easiest way that you can do it execute the double lift without getting called out or without whatever I know there are so many people out there that panic when it comes to doing a double lift so a lot of people will stay clear from doing a double if you guys will do some working magic tricks or mathematical card tricks now have no fear there is a way to do the double lift but all you have to do is just make sure you get that little pinky break on the other side of the deck and you'll be good as gold thank you guys so
