heard you guys like chinese food yeah we do when we were trainees we used to eat a lot of chinese a lot of times really yeah because it's like the delivery is really fast i usually order chili's and how it how like this whole thing started kind of like wow i met ollie when i was in the first year of uni love at first sight okay i mean we do spend a lot of time with each other i could tell that you guys are really close okay that's good yeah you too actually yeah cause we've been we've known each other for a long time for a long time we've even done like the training life together we started off together and then we are in the same team too now how old were you guys when you met when we met i mean i was like it was like 2013 i think wow okay six years six years ago okay what year were you guys born i'm 99 99 97. okay 97 yes you're 99.97 yeah do you guys i'm 89.87 this is what we're talking about this is exactly one decade difference yeah yeah this is what it looks like yeah look have you ever done it in real life no i don't know well that's good we've never done it before yeah that was actually good okay okay oh man i'm sweating you're all right i just my body thought i was dying for like a good 30 seconds you guys like oh is he okay he's fine he's fine i'm used to it now oh my god so this is interesting because i like every time i come to a chinese restaurant in korea i almost always order just jam there's so many other things yeah actually you should try the creams here too next time yeah like a french oh now is this chicken or pork mark this is chicken who gets that confused these days okay actually it's my first time having nachos with champagne okay it's quite fun i'm curious right when i go home back to my hometown talk to my old friends it's just really difficult to explain to them what we do for a living it must be even crazier for you like what do your friends from back home like growing up think about nct 127 and the success that you guys are starting to have well we don't i want to say it for your like youtube thing too i feel like in a way korea is receiving a lot of attention these days yeah and i feel like as k-pop singers we're very um thankful to be a part of this like day and age where korea's getting a lot of attention yeah and we're very like proud to like show the world what k-pop is because even when i was a school in canada like no one knew about kpop pretty much like yeah and no one would have thought that like k-pop artists would be touring and having like audiences being filled in like american venues and stuff but we actually came back from our first north american tour just a few weeks ago and you guys were there for a month is it yeah a month yeah wow we went to 20 cities yeah wow and i actually met a friend of mine an all-time friend and i was actually surprised because he actually knew about k-pop already really and i realized that like k-pop has become a genre that a lot of people are my dad my dad was like so do you listen to the k-pop i mean it's it's a big thing it's huge it really is and we're really thankful to you guys because we've been doing this job for you know almost six years now we started yeah we're like we're like youtube grandfathers you know harmony we've always been trying to introduce korea and bring cultures together yeah we've really been able to see how much the knowledge about korea has changed over the last few years and largely because of kpop and you guys are a part of that so thank you you know it's awesome actually what i also felt through the tour was like all of our fans like each city we go to yeah they they sing along with our lyrics with our song and like we feel so connected like through our music and that made me very like happy and glad like proud of like what i'm doing and i think that was like the really the best point that's really really cool joe and nukimi [Music] you know how when we're in the label a lot of other foreign trainees come and learn korean for the first time okay and he actually like a lot of people kind of look like ollie really but actually i mean not in the appearance way but like i mean in the way they try to use koreans actually like my my uncle is from england and when he jokes it looks exactly like really i'm like an english uncle great you probably could be his uncle yeah we should check am i your uncle people say that i look a lot like a lot of people every day i'll get about 20 dms somewhere like i think this is you it's normally like just a random person in russia but then sometimes it's like people say i look a lot like olaf when i smile this is true yeah oh my gosh really yeah yeah yeah that's you yeah all right let's go this is my personal favorite when i come to chinese restaurants let's see how it is i'm expressed welcome the top saudi you could really taste the like it's like sticky chewiness i like it oh it feels it's really satisfying to chew no mushroom so can you guys explain to me a little bit about nct one two seven oh yeah because in england nct is a famous um pre-natal class that people do before you have children it's called the national childbirth trust and you go on training we had our first child we went for training and there's just really graphic videos of childbirth it's not that i'm i'm guessing it's not okay it has to not be there isn't it nct dream is like the under 20 squad yeah and then nct you i read your wikipedia thank you for studying so thankful for reading your study thank you so much it's interesting but then the members can kind of switch in and out you're like the avengers right i mean i mean they're right it's the theme we we use that avengers when we like explain really oh really no because it's not just like you're a genius you're a genius he never says that [Music] i don't want people to misunderstand the whole concept like we're not the avengers of k-pop the main concept of nct is to be just a modern good fight i mean the main sorry let's see how many boys the main concept of nct is that we have is that we have no limits okay that's the main theme of nct that's how we all came to nct and that's why we're all from different countries like that's how it all began and so we're like a combination of everything that's what i wanted to say like nct is everything but then i feel like that's reflected in your music as well like i have been listening to quite a lot of your music last few days your music is more diverse i would say like listening to superhuman today but it's it's quite different from the other stuff that you've done it's almost got like an 80s vibe to it with the synths and stuff well actually like we used to have songs like cherry bomb like simon says like that kind of strong beats but this time we wanted to try like a very positive vibe song for superhuman so we prepared that new kind of style that's great that's awesome yeah it's really interesting should we try this creams here this is a cream all right so i honestly did not i've never heard of this in it actually i don't think i actually like this one better than chili sauce all right let's try it okay all right let's go it has lemon on it right hmm wow oh that's lemon it's really lemony yeah it's like lemon chicken is that cheesecake it just tastes like cheesecake to be honest it's okay it's for me and josh we could not have done this alone we often say a great thing about being in creative partnership is that you don't have to take full responsibility for failure but you also can't take full responsibility for success so hopefully you are kept humble but you're also desperately sad when things don't go quite as well you know not everything works out and then when we succeed as well it's not something that i it's not because of just me especially together but you guys have that as well well but that was that was a that was a line i mean you guys seemed like so down to earth so like feet on the ground has your friendship been a big part of that for us as persons person like you know like if you live with lots of people 24 hours do lots of stuff together then you learn lots of stuff through that time so i think that makes us really like stronger and like makes us and i feel like bro we're a group we always have to understand the fact that like we're all on the same boat and so yeah like you can't do whatever you want like it's like we have that understanding of responsibility as well and so because like we came here in this label all for like the same reason so we always kind of like remind each other that yeah that's awesome guys i feel like having chinese food and then having like deep talks is pretty good yeah yeah yeah waiting waiting for the chat yeah yeah because they're pretty mature as well for their age it's easy to forget that they're 20 they're 21 22 year old kids they're like 20 years old literally and they're like properly in the limelight yeah and it's kind of scary like i couldn't even imagine having yeah that attention when i was that age but they carry it so well they really do they feel like their friendship is it really comes across their friendship is kind of their not only between them but between them and the other members that that like carries them they're so humble about it all but i feel like in hotel i feel really attached to it man yeah it was cool it was cool right such a blessing yeah really really cool really wish them the best yeah i really want them to be huge but not in a way that is like destructive yeah personally yeah yeah but yeah it's just great like they totally deserve that attention you

This was one of my favorite interviews originally and with the additional uncut scenes, just made me love it even more. You can even see how the boys just melt and relax as the interview progresses and feel more comfortable with Josh and Ollie. Also the fact that Jaehyun had seen the slime video is precious because Juno is an adorable pineapple!
