about tradition but really it's about who is better some rivalries are superficial but for four to a in it and bethune-cookman this one goes to the phones generations dating back to 1925 making it Florida's oldest college football rivalry but we know the game extends beyond the game clock it is those sacred moments at halftime the countless hours of tailgating and trash-talking don't like to see walk for the bethune-cookman Wildcats it's a can't be won't Stadium as they go head-to-head with the Rattlers as we welcome you to ESPN college football presented by McDonald's this is the end of the season for both teams as Jay Walker and Tiffany green here with you and we know that this has such great significance it's not only in-state rivalry but it's also to maybe see who has the in-state bragging rights for the next 365 days bragging rights are there in abundance in this game it always has been something special to these two teams down here in Florida however this year it takes on added importance I think for Florida A&M they call it the millenium 2.0 well will lynnium 1.0 was pretty good but they did not finish the job a season ago getting eliminated from postseason play this year they have an opportunity to possibly become the HBCU national champions they're the number one team at HBCUs football right now but Bethune Cookman head coach Terry Sims he could care less about but those Cookman is trying to write their ship in the right direction not too long ago they were cruising with the six in one record and control their own destiny however they come into this game with a three-game losing streak knocking out Florida in can help for erase all of that - well the Rattlers have the number one passing attack in the MEAC led by their signal caller fifth year senior Ryan Stanley Bryan Stanley strength is his ability to distribute the football to the strength of his office which is the wide receiver core they've got $1,000 wide receiver Brian Stanley's done a lot of great things he has to play within the system and continue to make smart decisions with the football in order for the Rattlers to have a chance at winning this game Sam use old time a career leading picture in yards on the other side you have a key vyas Williams who has not lost in this world class they have been a little bit of a disappointing season statistically for Williams but Williams has to play big today his threat his strength is his ability to run the football he's the fastest guy on the football field from the quarterback position that's scary if he can put together the right combination of running and throwing this Wildcat offense can put up some numbers today to learn more about these seasoned quarterbacks we send it down to the third member of our team Larisa Harris said these guys are fifth year seniors but we have to remember in 2016 that's when they first experienced the flormar Kazakh as redshirt freshman will I spoke to both of them and they told me that finishing was at four very focused today for T vs Williams it's about not losing to the Rattlers because he's never done that on the other side for Stanley it's about defeating the Wildcats if he wants to be considered the best quarterback and is also about not reliving the hurt the experience last year well I'll tell you larysa that but film Cookman has owned this series for most of this decade winning in a row they're coming in feeling confident that they can pull off win number nine in this Florida classic against the Rattlers and the guy to help them get there as we mentioned a key vyas williams he can beat you in a number of ways but really with his feet that's that balance he needs to throw for two touchdowns and a run for a touchdown or two today for the Wildcats that have a chance so they start inside their own 25 on the first throw to the outside it was Troy Hilton on the coverage the intended target was number one Jimmy Robinson they're gonna force the ball to Jimmy was to Jimmy Robinson if they can but you have to be encouraged by full day men when you talk to head coach Willie Simmons what's the difference from last year to this year our secondaries gotten so much better linebackers are the same but in the secondary those guys have really stepped up to the challenge [Music] 14 seniors for Florida am on second down the carry up ahead and the ball-carrier wrapped up near the 30-yard line as Isaac Washington with a gain of about five give it an opportunity this is when Williams a quarterback has to make this right decision if you give something back to your priest that read where you can find a receiver with some cushion take it if it's not there look for a running Lane and pick up four yards to get the first back third and four from the Wildcats 30 and there was to throw that icky vyas williams was looking for an ax penalty marker on the field [Music] office number 70 faculty thank you good to see that's number 70 Jeff I can't Villalobos moving a little bit early that's things like that they've really hurt this football team you're in a football game early you can control third for me because they show a little bit of pressure you jump offsides an offensive lineman gotta get those jitters out of the way Jay you mentioned that Bethune Cookman started the season strong for and on the MEAC and since then they've dropped three straight here on third down once again the pass is out and complete just short of the marker big brother government look at that now they're gonna go for that second effort given to that's a rivalry right so you make the catch in the flat you're three yards short you see - orange helmets coming up you gotta get through them to get the first down picked up the first down picture basic Washington good for nine and its first in ten williams throwing the ball again this time across the middle and the pass complete to step on francois the redshirt sophomore out of Miramar Florida that was good for 11 so move the chains again and I really like it because Vaughn am has been blitzing off the edge if you can complete the ball burst the Blitz they're gonna stop doing that good recognition by Cuba's workers [Applause] good opening drive for the Wildcats thus far on the carry a nice balance of and Washington they're challenged have been through clipper they're saying yes you've been able to complete the ball gets off blitz but they're continuing to bring the pressure Terry Jefferson is coming in every time number one on that right side trying to get to the disruption for their stylish uniforms and you look at this season the third Goodman is they were predicted to finish second in the and again they lived up to those expectations for the first four weeks of conference play but since that time they have tailed off Jimmy Robinson though always threatened for Terry Sims football games he's gonna have 15 touches Jimmy Robinson you get them in space watch Robinson and that what your fine player who is a show time any time he touches the ball he's gonna probably pick up some positive yardage good four five there that can hurt you in special teams and this year's really evolved as a receiver you see the numbers they're 12 yards a catch and he's a park van but a lot of the time they throw him the ball behind the line of scrimmage and he brushes forward so him averaging 12 yards a carry lets you know he's really doing it himself [Music] [Applause] third and short for the Wildcats 92 play of this Drive coming up Williams looks to the outside and once again completing the purpose it was Riley once more then they continue with that same look blitz in the safety from the outside great job you're gonna see if they're trying to they're gonna great pressure from here and they're gonna bring it from here they're not let him get comfortable there he recognizes it get rid of the football that was a previous play there with Williams but if you can continue to pick a park like that Florida is gonna have to make a defensive adjustment and you have to think if you're a wildcat fan where was this offense last weekend against a NT you have to get on the board but continuing to march down the field on the carriers Ladera and a wilson so the third different running back we've seen in the backfield for the Wildcats and they're continuing to pick a positive yards the impressive start to the football game before Cookman offensively they only averaged 23 points a game and this is a team that normally Stanford almost 30 31 points one of the top offenses in the conference hasn't been this year but it's a rivalry game they're getting the ball they're opening possession and they're marching down the field [Applause] bethune-cookman as 1/8 me add titles of water stretch of 4 6 2010 Williams on this drive six of seven 441 yards to handle [Applause] but they figured it out I am so eager given pressure [Applause] that they found a crease going off tackle the sit side for where the Blitz is coming from Krank recognition by this wildcat it's first and goal right there but you saw the pressure coming up from the middle by the wrestlers they brought pressure but as you mentioned wide open receiver if he can step into this throw this is the touchdown they're bringing the pressure to try and hit the quarterback where he missed the open receiver I thought they should have been off sides on floor day and then possibly a free play [Applause] [Music] Williams and the Wildcats put to the sidelines they get the signal [Music] [Applause] Williams checking it himself but he's wrapped up with nowhere to go Cortez read the true freshman along with Derrick Mayweather on the stop this is where I'm kind of questioning the food cook that's changed what got him down here on the field they went to a too-tight information trying to muscle floridated off the ball they were able to move the ball but haven't put the ball or the Kiva's Williams have run it off tackle not using the to tighten formation Williams checking out and Marcus Riley we mentioned started his career as the backup quarterback is really easy now he's a wide receiver now they're gonna run the ball sometimes locked out Club motley keeps it himself Butthead just near the five-yard line stopped again by Reed and that'll bring up fourth down that what a great job by de montreuil more number 93 the defense attack two plays in a row he's won his battle recognize the play forces the quarterback to change directions from his nose type of position good job by the senior from Tampa Florida kiba's Williams trying back on filled fourth and goal for Bethune Cookman and they're deciding to go on the there's y'all like the fact that they finally spread them out down here we enjoy watch out for him he holds on to a traveler port man the pressure coming stopped marker coming out after the play was Cameron Burton who was getting chased to Williams [Applause] Rory Barnard and this MEAC officiating crew will have a chance to talk it over we saw Williams had nowhere to go and he was heading for out of bounds and then the flag came out afterwards yep on the 4th down there same as afterwards so that means chlordane it may maintain possession and that you penalize them after the play let's just have a ride that becomes an automatic first down and you keep possession but I thought the flag came in well after the put the technically after fourth down they become 14 am football if it's against the Rattlers the result of the play is the runner was short of the line again after the play personal foul late hit defense number 15 listen to the goal it will be first to that person 10 for Daniel Elijah Richardson is the one who was the guilty party but the defense from Florida am holes don't guess saw his team come up short as the score still remains zero big plane right here to 32 yard line bringing pressure from Bethune Cookman Florida and better expected looking to get the endzone able to get it away but no flags fly marques Hendricks coming in no no this should be intentional grounded because he gave the ball away as a runner you're no longer the quarterback he gets outside the pocket but he gets the ball foot back to him so that's a par today they sensed it they were aggressive a very aggressive call flea-flicker back to the quarterback saying he's outside the pocket [Music] second and ten so the Rattlers have to keep their eyes up as Bethune Cookman looking to pin their ear ears back and go after Florida am the middle and someone got alayan elected that was tied areas Peters who was delivering the blow and then some whistles good and you know Jane there's gonna be some hard hitting the day Peters he's gonna be in the middle of 21 he's the guy that brings that tough for them so you think you see a Creason he's coming downhill he's in the Peters a very aggressive hitter the senior from Mississippi delivers a big blow bishop Barnett picked up four down and six to go be a big stop with the food cook we can force a Patna situation to get the ball back to their offense [Applause] Stanly [Applause] what the seniors who is [Applause] since couldn't get the ball here fit get it done in the endzone deep the cook feel furnaces Bethune Cookman defensively not only getting the three now but getting the pit six together team to lead Xavier McDonald on to attempt the extra point and a flag comes out before the ball is snapped delay of game offense five-yard penalty we played the truck I hate that one there but that's a robber we put Lee right there you're excited you get to pick six all the officials don't care they're gonna start that 25 second clock and now they make the extra point moving further back five yards back let's see if they can convert and it's Jonathan Thomas who's on to attempt the extra point the junior wideout [Applause] put the Thune Cookman its up and it barely gets through he's got just enough blow he knew that was 50/50 the pick-6 for 23 yards and bethune-cookman it's early [Music] ESPN college football is presented by McDonald's [Music] this is a rivalry that dates back to 1925 between in-state rivals Florida A&M and Bethune Cookman I love those throwback photos but in the present day it's been all go through Cookman they have won eight straight and they had the early lead over 13th ranked Florida A&M Ryan Stanley and this senior class looking for a perfect season in the MEAC but more importantly they're trying to notch their first win in nine years against the Wildcats and Willie Simmons in his second season as head coach says look this version this year's version of the Rattlers and that's how he's trying to play into the psyche of his players to get them ready for today I was trying to figure that outside like what do you think never lost in a wrap but he's saying hey no we're the new me this is mobility of 2.0 2.0 is zero and zero gets the cool Cookman trying to start fresh donita's quarterback that the short memory off to that pick six the squib kick mishandle and then just fell upon by the rapids go back to that interception though deep in their own territory this is how you play the safety position Trevor man's right here I don't have much to draw for the watch him watch the quarterback I've been watching you watching me he's looking he's looking he's looking oh you did gonna throw the ball over here you don't see me looking dead in your grille it's big see interception finished off the run that's how you play the safety position nothing gets behind you and the quarterbacks eyes in many cases we'll take you where he's going to throw the football Ryan Stanley we've mentioned has had a tremendous career the best passer to ever wear a Florida A&M uniform [Music] with pressure this has to get rid of it but all-time leading passer in yards attempts and I think when you talk to a lot of the legends that I have to see Quinn Green last night as well William Simmons says this he leads in the tips he's only my four year start they've had in the passing era so his success has done a great job went into football games throwing up some numbers but he's going to be judged like the richest said earlier if he can win this game this is your legacy game of your right Stan Stanley swinging it to Bishop on and bottom they're still on this became out of the backfield and the redshirt junior with a good game brings up third down the phone Cookman defensive line playing a little bit quicker than we've seen them play all season long Norma they're loaded with team speed but they've been neutralized sizable but this football season but now we're really starting to see some get off on the ball and the Florida a.m. coaches are well aware of that watch number 19 Florida and bottom of your screen if they get given a one-on-one matchup they like to get Smith people that's Xavier Smith the dynamic receiver going back the other way his Y and Stanley and the pass is caught by Marcus Williams another dangerous target for this rattler office this is a great job of going back to get this football you see a watch and reach back on the opposite side from the defender bring the ball into his chest Williams a fifth year senior knows what's at stake that game-winning catch against North Carolina A&T in overtime a few weeks back [Music] [Applause] the carryin up the middle spun around and finally dragged down bonnet saw Marquis Hendrix and the number of maroon jerseys as we'll send it down to Larissa with more well when we spoke to head coach Willie Simmons earlier this week he told me that Bishop bonnet was one person that a lot of people would consider a sleeper and he really wants him to have a great game today why because he can help open the offense because he's explosive he was injured a little bit now he's back healthy and he's hitting his stride and we've seen him hit his stride in the past few weeks so Bishop bonnet is one that the Wildcats need to watch out for today every passing game needs a running back if you got running back it opens it up for the passing game so Willie Simmons knows that event if I can bite it going drone lanes are going to be that much better for Ryan stand having to heave it pounds the pressure continuing to come up front from the Wildcats and Marcus Ford getting a good push that Marcus Ford came in preseason all-conference but we saw we've seen between several times this year many times we didn't call his name but they were starting to see his final football game as a rock showing some get off on the ball see if he can continue to be a force this football game for the when you watch Ford on the field or encounter him face to face that's grown man with grown man strength Stanley so far a box midfield and the Rattlers keep marching when it's a big time throw by Ryan Stanley watch how quickly he gets rid of this football as soon as the receiver comes out to break it's all you've got to see it recognize that Stanley no a lot of pressure and Bishop bonnet with the caring Larissa talked about just how he's starting to come on very quick and explosive type of that also very strong 600-pound squatter second and for quickstep Stanley just throws it over the head of as in day raid and now a marker is out Trevor Merritt was on the coverage [Applause] [Music] [Applause] holding defense number 20 ten-yard penalty from the previous spot automatic they bailed him out with the holding call because the bar was clearly uncatchable however if it's a holding it's a holding does they say right they're grabbing them around the waist [Applause] call for the holding and this fluorinated the first down getting close to the red zone never Trevor mayor and responsible the only points of this game with this pick six on that last rattler drive sipping it in there once again this time complete to David Mann ago man ago all the way it was he down you keep going here whistle and the redshirt freshman from Decatur just kept going 17 yards he was he was spun around but let's take a look to see he's down [Applause] with the contact there go review this that's a good job Vanguard is possibility you hear the whistle we'll step aside quickly as they review it for 25 remaining in the first board [Applause] the ruling on the field wasn't touchdown turned the review they saw man ago was down so first in tandem [Applause] so we took what the review for the wrestlers to get back into the endzone and he was wide open in the back of the endzone Bryan Stanley Roza bullet Marcus Williams another big catch of his career Florida A&M get the Rattlers on the scoreboard you hear early on to attempt the extra point [Applause] able to get it through this game is time early let's go back to that 12 yard touchdown catch from Marcus Williams watch Ryan Stanley take a look and you always know as a quarterback you've got a back down that runs the end of the goal line we call back to you Joe Rapp is always going to be a Crouch across the guy you kind of tell your quarterback throw it up towards the goal post where he's the only one that can catch it he was so wide open he found a nice pathway and delivered a strike you know this game it means a whole lot to Ryan Stanley and you have to like the response your season of your fifth year senior after giving six points over to Bethune that he had to in that city yeah that the short memory particularly a game like this but that's his personality he's not gonna salt ball he's more of a free spirit type quarterback there what's his nickname they call him there you know but he kind of rebounded nicely we got herself a football game here early here comes Jimmy Robinson low back to receive the kit for Bethune Cookman it's one of the duties to Robinson because is fantastic speed and you have [Applause] but you're going back to that 50 yard you see the truth Hey look up there was a double-team block and one lockers might flip somebody off it was up portraits that Niki negative you leave a block in the back return team number 19 ten-yard penalty from the spot for sir so after a fantastic return from Jimmy Robinson instead of being in the red zone or near it Terry Sims team will start from the 30-yard line in their own territory and that's a tough break because when I saw the penalty flag go I thought he was setting him up right there there were two guys that were there on him and they got the first line there a little bit too soon so awful we see a guy make it lock in the back when he didn't need to Jimmy Robinson had already sized up the would-be tackler was gonna make a move bad play for the field cooking would have been 85 yards but a key B is Williams trying to get moving marquise Bell drags him down a short gain [Applause] and employers is gonna need to turn on the Jets in this game it's been a while since we've seen him use that four point three speed then this time football game where you got a defense it has a lot of speed on in Florida in them you're supposed to prove here the fastest guy on the field side of Jimmy Robinson Mo Williams has come back so strong after going down with a season-ending knee injury a year ago still got the Jets in them we'll see if they'll bring them out Williams looking deep and overthrows everybody it's third down [Applause] and what I'm curious about or we're gonna follow this I want to see how many targets they give Jimmy Robinson you just saw what he could do on special teams I know that Terry Sims a head coach said we need the design plays for him now he's coming in the game if you can write why would you call the pass and play without your best player on the field that's something that does not please come Sims and he said we're gonna work on that and if you don't have touches by the first corner go call boys Williams and the black get to the tail Powell and Terrell with a nice pickup good for nine and another first down for Bethune Cookman now the 6-foot porridge wide receiver from Deerfield Beach Florida Jimmy Robinson on the perimeter picks up the first down when the Wildcats desperately needed it do you like already what you're seeing from offensive coordinator coordinator super giving more full Williams to handle putting more trust in his fifth year senior like you something I just nicked it I need more Jimmy you know like that old skit on Saturday live I need more cowbell that anymore Jimmy Jimmy should be in the game he's a singing it's his last Florida classic make Florida A&M prove that they can tackle Jimmy Robertson first then the Kiva's Williams second hey Sean bird in the backfield the cousin to Jimmy Robinson who also can flash off some Florida speed as well that's one thing that you come to know and expect from the Sunshine State Williams going forward and Stefan Francoise may have got a hand on it but overthrown as Cortez Reid was on the coverage that was a nice route this that's kind of been the story the Kiva's Williams this year you know opportunity there to make some big plays but hasn't quite been able to finish off the big play with a little bit better throw play their football up in this game but he's going to need to complete some passes like that four wide receivers set Jimmy Robinson to the bottom of your screen on third and seven hands with time and just misfires - Marcus Riley its fourth down need to complete that pass keep protection up front a little bit of pressure but as a quarterback complete the ball you see Jimmy Robinson on the bottom double cover look at they've got two jerseys on the bottom finding him you complete that pass he can turn make one defender miss pick up the first down but keep his Williams a little bit confused by the coverage of the secondary but to your point everyone is well aware of the showstopper Jimmy Robinson and you see the respect that at Florida A&M is giving to number one in maroon right scoured on to parkour bethune-cookman as in they ready back to receiveth and the whistles come in late game practice head delay of game office five yard penalty porca and you can't have that I see what Terry said is upset it's a seven seven ballgame could come down to a battle of field position in this first half you can't afford to give up five yards or gets an offense like Ford am [Applause] rain standing near a zone I think it was blocked it was partially blocked but Florida a.m. and it still takes a somewhat favorable bounce for bethune-cookman special teams for Florida am getting a hand on it they'll have decent field position when we return [Music] hey Justin heartburn and the number six organ ducks look to keep their college football playoff hopes alive against her networks and the Sun Devils out and to me the Ducks have won 7:30 Eastern on ABC and the ESPN every organ game takes on additive ports now think with Alabama if I want to see how they're gonna play without to it now look at that hey Tim when you see that what do you think yep that's the mascot venom venom I like Villanova venom well you know I used to Don that costume [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Applause] [Music] the case this is how you do it you keep your arm free one hand see the ball advantages words receiving on the year he's been the breakout player for them and guess what he was a walk-on let him get away from near Haines City in Central Florida Bishop bonnet on the carry on first down and we'll send it down to Larissa Harris with more on Xavier Smith well Jake you were talking about how such a special guy Xavier Smith is Ryan Stanley and though that those sentiments rather saying that every day after Kent X would go and stay about 30 to 40 minutes late just to practice and get a few catches about 32 for extra catches to ensure that he can do those things like we just saw that one hit against up it up for this play Larissa don't go too far let's see we'll take place here on second down second and a and once again some hard head right at midfield that was Marcus for once more delivering a blow so that Larissa open up viewers may not know this you went to the food cook then Tiffany with the fam you and we just learned that Tiffany was venom I was appreciated a girl hosted I like the Bethune Cookman Wildcat he's he's gotten yoked up over the years he's got a little buffer he used to be kind of slender danced a lot but I think you know Sims and the Brian Jenkins here he kind of became and that will take us to the end of an entertaining the first quarter [Applause] welcome back to Camping World Stadium we're tied at 7 all as we're about to start the second quarter for joining us now the new ad and the youngest in Florida am history Courtney Gosha joining both Jay and I Courtney welcome in this is your first floor class this is my first floor to classic and it is an experience I can tell you that much all right so you don't have to deviate too much from the colors because you were used to some orange and you know they had a little different shade of green Desilu University of Miami but in your mind what drew you to this job at Florida A&M you know I think the unique opportunity to represent our student athletes you know our student athletes get its opportunity for a world-class education and you know really when you look at the potential of athletics department it was you know having second guess it over we can talk very politically correct all day long one of the challenges that face Florida in because you're a blueblood program one of the most historic HBCU athletic program for the country what are some of the immediate challenges you're gonna address you know I think it's efficiencies in process you know we haven't really had a lot of stability in the ADEs chair and so obviously the university has made a long-term commitment for me to be there and to really put a plan into place for us to have sustained growth things are you know our best days you get to come it is gonna be a lot of challenges and things that we have to address but we can do it that's the fabric oh that makes up family I just work some of the day if you guys want to have some like mascot auditions and mascot trainers Tiffany used to be that's really good but you know the sense of pride and passionate FAMU is second to none when you look at what Willie Simmons has done in just a second season with the program how do you make sure that sports are on par with the championship type of effort that they've given this year so I think it's about building the culture we're winning a championship culture and coach Simmons has really demonstrated that to the best of his bed all right y'all can't see it but we can't in the booth Courtney came ready with these orange shoes he was he was ready to go on second and six Bethune Cookman off the carry they get just a few and he's breaking the rule you know I always say when you're in my booth I'm always gonna be the sharp-dressed to them for the booth he came in there styling all me man that's the easy way not to get invited back in okay JB you can't be upstaged dude remember when you're my size you know almost six five you know big dude it's hard to look good just to look like an average dressed guy so I prior when I look at Ridge so tie goes to the big dude good luck to you and all that you have ahead [Applause] territory [Applause] [Music] don't wiggle side to side make them come catch you fortunately for Florida and then they have enough team speed to catch Washington keep them at the end zone [Applause] ball on the 21st and 10th that one [Applause] getting that hand on it was number 41 for Florida a.m. Doyle Grimes they have this play was perfectly designed they're bringing the Blitz two white jerseys in if you complete that pass that could possibly be a touchdown good defensive awareness for Florida in just to tip that ball and disrupt the pads Courtney goes show the new athletics director at Florida A&M University I watch my kids but unique opportunity and obviously Tiffany thank you for having us you are a regular phenomena thank you very much ii intend to keep these williams going for jonathan thomas and overthrows him troy Hilton was side by side with them and that situation now I'm sure offensive coordinator outlets uber you called the double moon of Florida and doesn't fall for it keep the ball in play that then 50/50 jump ball situation don't overthrow and receiver for long incompletion thrown back shoulder allowing him to come back and make a play for you [Applause] well this drive was set up after a 22 yard punt from Florida and then then Isaac Washington with the 51 yard run by Keith Williams looking for somewhere to go de montreuil Laura tracks him down and that's when he turned on the Jets and that's a good run from him and by him doing so we know that bethune-cookman struggling with their kicker so they're gonna go for it on fourth down you see the spin move here and he's run it hard [Music] and doing a good job by taking the sack given to the offensive coordinator and opportunity to call the short yardage play and these are the situations when you have three four or five yards to pick up that are so tough to defend them you have a dual threat quarterback really more of a runner like you do Aniki vs Williams [Applause] on the 14-yard Stamper [Applause] give credit to the offensive line for bethune-cookman but the initial surge but morning look how huge the running lane is get up to the second level second-level defender goes up to the exotic for just like that Katz Jonathan Thomas stretching it out to a 14-7 lead 4000 matter we can't kick it don't worry by the coach zone to get the bootcut rhythm [Applause] [Music] Orlando Florida at Camping World Stadium where the 2019 Florida Classic is underway but we just saw Jonathan Thomas who is actually a person who usually doesn't kick for the Wildcats well he's a man of many talents he also played soccer he played tennis as well for the Wildcats this past year and we know that Florida father football is one of his another many towers as well all right thanks so much Larissa he's handling the kicking duties well so far on the return as Xavier Smith we saw make a dynamic one-handed catch earlier in this game but to put a bow on Jonathon Thomas a three-year starter for the Wildcats a terrific young man a dual major and business administration and an accounting a couple summers ago traveled [Music] and a Special Olympics internship just a fantastic young man and what we always like to highlight Jay is the students young man right there gets hit 36 yard-line that's where the records will start huge hole by the offensive line particularly big number 77 Keenan Forbes a rock guard pilot sees daylight big gain the floor bought it once again maroon jerseys Darius Clark was one of them the dragon that I think the thing Cookman is doing this wrong they started out this football game with the three-man defensive line game Florida and them a little bit of trouble they went to the forum and offensive line taking a line backer out to stop the run but that's allowed Stanley to pick them apart they're missing in the passing game I would go back to that three-man look to call some confusion on the green right at least try to pick ii intend his complete Xavier Smith and Smith is flipped over and just about a yard short of the marker [Applause] [Music] miss Bethune Cookman defense giving up just about 26 points a game as Terry Sims likes to say it's a bin but don't break you and they struggle stopping the run but in this game I'm not worried about the run I'm worried about that direct snap to Terrell Jennings and Jennings the true freshman also from Duval County Geelong picks up the first down short yardage situation they go directs to Jennings that's just lower you lower your shoulder pads and pick up the first down good tough running by the freshman [Music] [Applause] my young emotion moves to the other side quickly out of the hands any targets number 81 the tide in from right out of Tallahassee Florida and the true fish freshman picks up six it's a vanilla coverage it's a pop pass okay you're gonna play that off you're going with four defensive linemen you rarely see that against a sprint off it's trying to stick to your traditional four-man front to go at some type of three three five look this is too easy Brian Stanley keeping it on the ground with Bishop bonnet bonnet with the couple but he saw on that graphic flash already more than a hundred yards through the air for the number one passing office in the MEAC Florida had done run the ball well they only averaged 105 yards per game that's one of the worst rushing attacks in the country not worried about that strike gonna say the sign that Jersey says strike that strike from Ryan Stanley so bethune-cookman should give up a little bit of rushing yards don't worry about that battle I'm worried about plays like this which are his past situations trying to confuse the pre-snap look that you show Ryan Stan Staley's terrain wickley lifts up Bethune Cookman Nereus Peters secondary you know he always likes to come up and make a play ever yeah he's old-school when he gets there because he's a safety and he's like well if I have to get involved it's gonna hurt I'm gonna bring that bump coming with 15 yards of momentum lowers the helmet he's a finisher Ryan Stanley knows type Darius Peters all too well how to pick six last year in the Florida Classic - in the hopes of getting back to the celebration ball for FAMU the three men trying to cause some confusion with the look like this give him a confusing look Stanley what's more dangerous look Trevor baron already has a pick six today you see the confusion Stanley had all day to throw but he didn't know what he was looking at he's looking wait and wait I think I see something but once again Mara goes up with one hand that should have been another interception that's the type of book you have to give rides down [Applause] who is always active from his strong safety position before fam you can attempt the field goal birth in Cookman calls a timeout [Applause] first off top of the head mediator [Applause] this Florida classic means so much they first got going back in 1978 here from the Florida classic but it dates back to 1925 look that was a jig Gator era that was pretty special and straight and officially became known as the Florida classic fans flocked in nearly two million have attended this game over the years but you have to give hail to the Wildcats as they have had an eight-year dominant run over their in-state rival y'all here what's it mean to feel stupid like when you go to Florida are you gonna hook through Cookman in its classic with windy off circle it when do y'all start when they all start preparing for that original what's it you start prepared for the Florida Classic at the beginning of the year you talk a little bit about each week and build up especially if your team is winning and doing their thing it's a constant continuous motion but it really hits when that's Sunday before the actual Saturday practice of the game if that Sunday partner that's when the trash-talking and everything really gets in there I'll chime in in just a second first the 32-yard attempt from gyah it's blood [Applause] so special teams then Paul clicking here in this floor classes which happened give credit to give credit cervical Koopman head coach carey's Singh he called the timeout to set up the field goal block they blocked the field goal great execution on special teams [Music] City Beautiful Orlando Florida as we welcome you back to ESPN college football presented by McDonald's in just about five minutes away from downtown bethune-cookman with a 14-7 lead over Florida A&M here's Marcus [Applause] guess what he's from Tallahassee this is our gimmick [Music] the tent don't anymore passes for become picnic you're gonna become alive he has the speed to outrun a couple of secondary defenders to Florida [Music] of flashing coming out in the play that may go against Ron he spiked the ball a little bit Terry Sandy's given to a little sideline come on it's the classic [Applause] can a play most forceful encanta it's number two for spiking the ball - number two's birth when you see that Marcus bill some time away he is excited to be competing contributing in this Florida Classic yeah but looking what a difference it down inside the 5-yard line now that got the ball on the 35 yard line he gave away almost 30 yards on that [Applause] that's a little severe lower radius why is under check because he ended up inside the five hiding it to the 35 the spike is a 15 yard building while they say he stepped out the bound closer to the end zone well that's what they will discuss let's see it once more he was nearly right there yeah that's about the $20 and that 20 put him on the 35 good job by the official but catching that think they've got the spot in the right place well Terry Sims in his fifth season as the head coach up mithoon cook been his first as a head coach 20:15 flew in a classic you go back to that season and how special it was for them me at Coach of the Year or more importantly but don't cook but that was the last time the conference crown this persevere could have been without seeds the high expectations of faltered a little prison they cease talking to a break there discipline on the team that the self is when you spike the football not a man to do that I'm gonna go back to this we talked about being classic we can we ask Larissa with the classic start for her where you were in Florida and it was a student when did your classic preparation take place I would say yes we cared about it [Applause] after 22 yard line the 15 yard penalty for hot squats my life would be a forceful despot it would be first in ten [Applause] please reset the game clock take it and so for me though we really start to dial in at the start of football season right we really cared about it and it ramped up just about two weeks beforehand because you know you're gonna feast on the Wildcats I know you're gonna break bread with your family and you know where there's going to be a fun time so this rivalry means so much because you know I always tell the story of my grandparents had but Mary McLeod Bethune hanging in there helps machine go especially during classic week Jimmy Robinson showstopper all his feet picks up the first down that matter where you are on the field you always have to Zone in on number one it's almost like just catching this is my nick that you do Maura just catch him given the ball in the middle of the field they can catch him one way or the other he's gotta pick up positive yardage he is daring directors defense to do so they hand it off again and just tripped up and a loss on the carry from Kwai Shan bird backs him up a couple great play by the defensive end Isaiah land the freshman from Loganville Georgia he's really been an impact player that they're trying to do that little read option off of him but he's quick enough to change direction six feet 4 inches 195 pounds so that's a small defense event but he has that flexibility to be able to possibly catch the pedis wave but react to what he's doing and he did a good job a fool on the senior on that last play [Music] second in a dozen Williams surveying the field [Applause] step four reshma says give it to me give it to me yes it's the fantastic esicrexe ball makes it we've seen him do it they've got great hands secures the ball let's see if he gets it to the end zone given a channel cabinets on the cats does not hit the ground [Music] the tremendous by Francois 28-yard score for Bethune Cookman [Applause] and Thomas puts the Wildcats up by two scores but the cook mitts offense is clicking it's because of the extra four plays like this Mira [Applause] every year this game is important but we'll break down a little bit further on what it means to both sides for Barry Sims Krung they've defined that keep in a row they're trying to make it nine straight over FAMU meanwhile Florida AMM is seeking their first undefeated conference season since 1996 the one team that's been the thorn in their side over the last eight years though have worn those colors right there and Terry Sims has been apart Lamoni I'm really taking over this rock Ariba 1996 that's that's back in that that's that boy I've been that long since bamboos gone undefeated gonna be going on defeat in this conference is very very tough that you do Marcus Williams on the return going to the opposite side of the field and after the punch kick from Tomas Morales will start at their own 43 yard line but J I think that brings up the larger conversation right for two am 13 and FCS North Carolina ANC in the top 25 as well and South Carolina State and a heated metal right now with Norfolk State and they get an opportunity to walk away with the win you have to put them in the conversation for an FCS playoff spot just heard that South Carolina State bunny pew Bulldogs won in overtime trailing by three the last minutes of the game send it into overtime and congratulations buddy Pugh they put themselves in position that's a strong resume at 83 for them they have 2-1 loss to an FBS program two losses to top 25 when things Stanley looking downfield Highsmith and that was an easy pitch in catch from Stanley to Smith I mean these songs are cover to look II that was gonna cover - you wanna take between the cornerback and the safety from the slot receiver dissing smash trout size up the safety that's too easy pickup up 25 moves of a cross midfield Devon Kendra luring his shoulder they stopped by Devante Lawrence and they're going back to that form and offensive look again in Ron and Stanley will pick them apart whenever he sees that and at this point I have a question why they're doing it because they're not even really given pressure on the quarterback you go for defensive lineman to pressure the quarterback they're not getting there and I think part of the reason is he's able to see what defensive coverage you're doing in the secondary so he's getting rid of football by time you get there [Applause] he is picking them apart when they go with the conventional look look how quickly he gets rid of football one two paws off even when he gets hit the ball is gone he knows where he's going with the football then a great job now finishing off the play by man ago those fans are certainly in for a treat for this 40th edition of the Florida classic extra point is good no good excuse me is an incomplete extra point of to media time but that doesn't erase with David Mann ago did right here he was thrown into the fire to his classic this piece callers this is from last night's battle of the bands at Amway Center and several thousands were on hand to watch the incomparable marching 100 and the marching Wildcats up here that that is like deep it to go to me I've never gone I've heard that is unbelievable they have like four or five high school bands and then they bring in the varsity squad that the marching Wildcats bethune-cookman the varsity and then the JV team of the marching 100 the nation go get them y'all handle on is the often imitated March 10 so - and I think you notice been without question Florida A&M is the kiyose band I've seen in the country the reason to me because actually doing it longer and better like they're being years where I've seen between Cooper and blow them out the water him and but they look like if you listen to fan you know they never lost a hand performance and that's just not true oh no I would agree that if that is not true because marching cats have been coming Jimmy Robinson the third on the return but you're right Jane the marching Wildcats they bring it and I remembers probably from the time they really started this eight-year streak of dominance on the football field the marching Wildcats were also winning at halftime good every year I look forward to this halftime I call this veto on this HBCU game in the country by a plastic fans don't don't even question me on that both these bands are bigger than Southern and Grant was banned and it is more [Applause] big in there and stuck by Eric Smith Smith with the NACA lots of too trying to get the ball to the playmaker in space and Jimmy can live with that sometimes they're gonna get the better of y'all play it's a game of football but don't let that deter you here Bethune Cookman continued to force-feed the football to Jamie Robinson [Applause] five minutes to go in the head second and 12 a key Vyas morgan's feels the pressure and he's wrapped up still on his feet gets it away Marcus Riley again to the outside brought down this time by barky spell this is how you playing when it's your last collegiate football game Williams steps up he's wrapped up I'm not going down look at the vision finds his open receiver coming back to the quarterback to the big play for the Wildcats Ronaldo flowers was there to him first but he got it away Wilson gets the first down but a yellow flag out on the field [Applause] hold it office number 63 10-yard penalty that's all the two-year starter on the offensive line Jamal Savage [Applause] how rare is that on third and one on a running play you see a holding call Smash Mouth football that's rare so instead of [Applause] picking up the first ow eleven yards to go natives more chasing him down to the outside going markers Wow that's a toughie wanna play buy time to Thomas ineligible player downtown number 63 the five-year artillery from the previous spot turn that's on 63 again Jamal savage not a good series to look at this good job kicker slash wide receiving with great concentration he called that DISA Rockler captain let's see downfield down there eight yard blocking anybody picking is going run unfortunate for Terry Sims the two of cooking Wildcats yeah they keep shooting themselves in the foot they're wanting to engineer a drive to perhaps put up up loose on the floor before going into and instead they keep marching back Williams with time throws it in the middle where nobody can get to it but you saw Cameron Smith nearly then bring down Williams the big stop by Florida a.m. with the assistance of a couple of penalties but now they've got an opportunity to get this football back in pretty good field position and to change the tightest thing up before that [Applause] my scour out of Australia set to punt it away [Applause] ray and the Rattlers watch that one bounce will kick off here Sunday with NFL countdown or Andy boss rates the best catches that one would have been a great one from Jonathan Thomas had it stood from this week's college football action plus all-access with that Prescott Tom Brady don't miss countdown Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern on ESPN and this is a big game for both teams in week 12 of Monday Night Football as Lamar Jackson and the electrifly quarterback leads the Ravens into LA to take on Aaron Donald and the Rams the AFC North leading Ravens have won six in a row they'll go head to head our coverage begins with Monday night countdown at 6:00 p.m. about Lamar jacks oh my gosh changing the offense to try to make things work Lamar Jackson it's worked very well and quite honestly for many black quarterbacks around the league he's not the only one took this and I use this his barbershop talked and went to mom when I was getting my faith who would you take you know we wrap it on Salem are nobody better here I'm not really with my mom at all by that I was like the shot and he's cold it wasn't like the older spell the statesman to that group there who's having an MVP caliber season then I get to call games weekend and a week out with the former NFL quarterback as well Jay Walker Devon Kendrick armed the carry on second down and he picks up about seven now at a time where you have don't cook the defensively you guys you got the pick-6 you've done a good job there holdover that we going to the halftime hold on at leaf it all cause it coordinating that's a trail that they can only take a feeling well that's fine but it's crucial for bethune-cookman to hold on to that lead going into the locker room this will be a pivotal third down to try to close out the first half [Applause] I liked it three-man front exotic look watch how it forces Stanley bunker football [Applause] [Music] by himself at Ontario Johnson was there to say hello as well like and every time they give him that exotic look see Stanley doesn't know what is good didn't normally he would sit there and settle because he doesn't know where the pressures coming from or the secondary decides to escape a little bit early comes up short on the first down and just have to wonder like if you're really Simmons Dan is playing well but they're gonna start seeing that look more and more you got to go just a reminder to our viewers how we got here it was that pick six by Trevor Merritt that got Bethune Cookman on the board first they also have a black field goal to throw in there as well penalties have really hurt the Wildcats especially on that last offensive drive equipment with doesn't show up there they've been playing from hit homie they went up sevens in baby time it's happened they went up 14 so they continued to hold off to the lead and force Florida A&M to play in that trail position Chris module on to putt kicking specialists from Tampa Florida all American one of the best in all of FCS [Applause] got a good leg on this one inside the 10 and really nowhere to go for Terry Spain and a flag is on the field although I don't know if I see when I may have misspoke there what a weapon that padule has been though and he talking to coach Simmons he's like oh if it's fourth and short putt because for dual chains his games with his legs the best kicker in the country a season ago in terms of distance per Putney this year he's only gotten better with the ability to pin tins inside their 20-yard line [Applause] Bethune Cookman will start from their own 11 with the minute 50 to go the middle and you see the speed from Jimmy Robinson but now there's the flat on another run play but number 76 [Applause] it's going to be the right guard Cedric Jackson who's going to come here and we'll look Paul they're gonna say top dog somebody that's a that's close that's a spin around it's like was he gonna make the play we talked about Isaiah land making an impact in this game that's where you need Cedric Jackson that have a better technique anticipate where the defensive line is going to be and just shield them off the race is a big play from Ginny royalty while floor names defense has gotten some pressure up front you got a credit the phone Koopmans old wine for a holding strong enough are [Applause] J I think it's important because we always talk about quarterbacks the impact that they have on game to the kiyose Williams has really done a nice job bounce it back from last week's loss I think last week might have been his most disappointing performance since he's been the quarterback but he almost knew he was going fund under today he had to play better he's taking advantage of it we've seen the mobility on display we've seen to make some good decisions in the passing game those numbers last week he just could not get it going must have victory against door killer vanity and then just alone against your in-state rival your final game your career already with 159 yards and two touchdowns did you see that I like that service like it you talk to me and that's smart because he's probably gonna say the wrong thing they don't even talk about I'm done talking to y'all he's got some questionable calls here especially you don't run game plays quick Flags out there first and 15 Robinson gets it once again Jimmy Robinson - about the 17-yard line brought down by the other number one and Terry Jefferson that still take your time here we see Jimmy he can turn on the Jets and accelerate that's a nice big hole there so you got a nice run there but you still gotta pick up this first down I like this they're being patient you don't want to get foreign am an opportunity to get that firm that football back with any time on the pot so if you put Robinson and Williams are the back little ones like picture boys [Applause] Robinson remains back there that once again the Jimmy Robinson and Robinson wrapped up and put an M does have a couple of timeouts and they spin one here that was taken in tap on the previous play which I thought was smart and so that pretty much employed ain't in he forced the cooking overrun this football on third down and Simmons who is a former quarterback at Clemson knows he's got an excellent passer and Ryan Stanley and so you give up just one or two plays he could buy the endzone and I thought what was so crucially Willie knowing his attack mentality was there at South Carolina State South Carolina State gets the lead with a minute to go and then that kicker kicks the ball out of bounds and Willie Simmons gets the ball down by three on the 50 yard line if his mindset change we're not playing for the time we're going for the W and he got that victory in like 47 seconds later it was over so he's an aggressive mindset with the passing attack likes to throw it you can tell he had stand there just in sync with each other process run the football here run the football here don't let the time that fool you the shuttle pass over to Jimmy Robinson from Jimmy Robinson I think may have gotten the first down I like each one to play started you getting the mana Robert so you run it you're gonna run some clock get it to your playmaker we say he's gonna make the first kind of Miss picks up that first down and what that does is that secures that you're going to go until after world pretty much with the lead doesn't give up watch him get loan they're trying to strip him then he picks up the first down the statement type of run 5:8 playmakers skill guy and he gets the four yards needed but more importantly holding the balls out of the hands of the Rattlers they will get the ball to start the second it's been a good one through the first 30 minutes here from Camping World Stadium Bethune Cookman has dominated the series and so far there are 21 13 over Florida am Terry as soon as crew started strong and the head coach is joined by Olivia Harris coach who told me execution was huge for you guys how did you analyze the defensive play of their often so far enough you know the ball moving down the field was scoring some points so I'm pleased right now we got to come out we got to continue to put the ball and I'll play makers hands we just gotta settle down guys just a little bit on edge emotionally they're taking a picture taking over right now we just got to settle them down they continue to play the technical part of the point I love the fact that I can say this from one Wildcat to another thank you so much Larissa the band from Florida A&M marching 100 already taking the field will be an entertaining half it's been a great game so far we expect a thrilling second with us [Applause] [Music] shout out to the marching Wildcats finishing up their halftime performance The Fool Cookman football team up 21 13 over the 13th ranked Rattlers will you look at that first half and it always goes back to the quarterback team you're mine Jay hunter Ryan Stanley dude yeah Stanley do this pitch sits with like a great quarterback you knew he was gonna respond back but the tough struggles we've seen from Ryan Stanley's been when he gets an exotic formation he struggled but they give him time they played traditional defense he's having a field day back there in the pocket they have to continue to confuse him a little bit for Ryan when he's given the time to protection he's the best path through his compost on the other side of KBS Williams the other fifth year senior he stepped up his play to that but what we said Williams and the new ones you can to make some plays with his leg so we're seeing him keep the play alive there with a chemist William has the ability to throw the ball deep he's got a touchdown in the first half he needs to continue to play that level if the Wildcats want to hold on to lead pull off the upset and just moments ago our Larisa Harris talked with head coach Willie Simmons coach what more needs to be done to get that passing attack going patina execute at a high level some things have been there you know we missed a couple but it's the run gets a run getting more concerned about right now and how do you neutralize that run game and guys like Jimmy Robinson well we start playing Simon football you know right now without getting out gap guys are trying to do too much I did this based on being assignment perfect and with Excel the guys down and get back to playing Simon football thank you so much thank you thanks so much Marisha and we coming into the season the playmakers that bethune-cookman had coming back on offense and they have been among the difference makers in today's game the gets floored am Marcus Williams on the return Andy's trip that loses the football but the wrestler is able to fall on top of the George Webb recovers it for Florida A&M the first couple of minutes are so important you see losses quitting slipped great job recovered before which are always come in a walk home but I think it's very important before any of this time because as I mentioned before they've been playing from behind the whole game it seems like now you can get the ball tie it up then you put a little bit of pressure on that bethune-cookman offense to produce [Music] and we'll see the type of drive that Ryan Stanley can engineer coming out of the locker room you heard coach Willie Simmons tell Larissa that he wanted to try to run game going [Applause] first time not the way you want to stop Lebanon Loughran can't do that it was an extended half time already because of the size and the way [Music] that doesn't really hurt a Florida in squawk is it going to throw the ball quarterback can make up the five yards you need by throwing the football [Applause] and get this J Florida A&M had 154 yards in the air compared to 161 for Bethune Cookman Bishop pocket all the carry and fauna try to get around the corner stopped by tomorrow look here browse an area where they were prove just 53 yards on the ground for the Rattlers they've got to do it but they aren't at this point you're not gonna reinvent yourself right you're never even see you passing teeth you are trying to play for HBCU national championship ranking you throw the football the second half Tommy head right Stanley throw 30 times he was 12 of 18 in the first half through a couple of scores as well the delay just being patient but really know where to go for bonnet as marquise Hendrix one of those stuffers from that line back and all the staff that start down this is what you need if your bethune-cookman miss passing situations now you can go to the exotic front now they're going to three defensive linemen they bring in an extra secondary defender try and create a little hobbit let's see if Marcus for number 48 can get there from his defensive in position consistent pass rusher live holding up and walk as Williams was there but just maybe some miscommunication on that round yeah this don't think Stanley feels confident enough well he doesn't less recognize the coverage from his priest that read so he's looking are they playing man it's a man-to-man look this cover one would see it safety help deep middle but because of the blitzing linebackers coming they had protection and after throw brings on a punt [Applause] so their first drive yields a punt and fado lends it back Tyree Spain had three Rattlers coming in but he stayed on his feet and has finally wrapped up with those cook men has won eight straight against Florida A&M they're trying to make it tonight and in a row but for the 13th red Rattlers they're seeking their first undefeated season in the VA since 1996 they open the 2019-20 campaign across town at UCF suffered a loss but since that time they run off nine straight wins Terry Sims and his group don't care anything about that they don't but don't cook me needs to pull away because if it continues to stay closed advantage Florida A&M they want a number of close football games this season complete you need to get a little separation if you're a wildcat fan right now because as long as the Rattlers stay close I think the Momentum's will go towards him even if their trailer and you heard coach Sims tell Arusha before the end of that have just about felt like they weren't executing to some degree but he needed to see a little bit more and I've argued back to that first drive from the film Cookman and then at any points but they used the ball effect and efficiently down the field [Applause] with these IMG and now great field position and maturity for theater strike this is the wide open receiver running down the scene and you dismissed through it right [Applause] and who has the aegis interception here probably [Applause] you almost want defeated him at the ball off you have a brother back with a life huge terminated [Music] it's his third interception of the season he brought it back 30 yards and the Rattlers start from bethune-cookman 20-yard line [Applause] Stanley feels depression steps up tucks it in large he can do a little we don't see it then but he moves the chains [Music] the senior leadership they trying to trick play looking for the time and in the middle of the field it was cover tuck the football take off running picks up the first down it's deadly the right way with an opportunity to put some points on the board here early in the second half Stanley who only had 35 rushing yards coming into this game for the season picks up the critical one Bishop bother trying to go behind his tech lers and he stopped Jonah to marques Reeves and Devante Lawrence where they're in a hole and this is why they have to throw the ball bishop Bachmann is their runner but he weighs 165 pounds so even when he gets a full head of steam in momentum that you get an arm on him in the ways you stab them in his tracks so now they're making the adjustment it going to Terrell Jennings number 23 the backfield hundred twenty-five freshmen downhill runner better suited for these types of situations the hand [Applause] Jennings Justin lover but up to die Darius peanut is there gonna be a big back run like a big back died play down the middle collision in the mall quickly to snap on third down they give it to Jennings once more and he stops short [Applause] Jerome Hauer was there to Corral and now what do you do on 4th down Bryan State running to the sideline decision time we're willing Simmons looks like they're going for the two yards you got in our kitchen they took me to wait two lines down a little Wildcat formation that's as in day reh the direction [Applause] he was the high school that converted receiver [Applause] showing off his escape abilities skills sigma2 just gave up on the foot he was contained he fires away the back to the outside what a huge fillet on the fantastic individual effort from [Applause] why don't you go for two you [Applause] it was all set up by the Andrew Hines interception comporting into points [Applause] back here at Camping World Stadium just one point separates these two in-state rivals it goes back to 1925 Florida Am is trying to get their first win and attempts against Bethune Cookman jaywalker tiffanygreen here with you and thank you all for tuning in a girl coach Bill Parcells even taking a look as well this let me back to stuck with my game again with a second here Parcells probably watching this flex debate - lets go entertainment that let you know when you get an opportunity you're talking xes football you're playing on the national stage you never know who's watching opportunity for ronnstam to show what he can do and talk about Xavier Smith with how about Jimmy Roberts get the ball to Jimmy Robinson he's your NFL prospect we're gonna cook but difference-maker [Music] a little kid [Music] replacing some foie gras it's nitpicking but Jimmy Robinson cause that he's a kick returner they want to kick away from him so he gives his team an extra 15 yards by being fast they're in a game that's a one-point field position becomes King take advantage of mistakes that are made in special teams can alter your keep coaches on the opposing team late at night because you just got speed and more speed icky vyas williams with the quick pass and there's Robinson Robinson gets the post down and a little bit more on the senior out of Palm Coast here's why so special watch how quickly he goes from 0 to 6 he's forced me 5 yards he's going full speed he can step on the gas paddle one step you make one more move he will hurt you he was an excellent track runner in high school Flagler palm coast I believe that does normal you here people saw he ran track in high school this is that Jimmy looks like he ran like he could still get there anchor your fall by 110 three receivers to the bottom of your screen the handoff to Isaac Washington and Washington with those quick moves to the outside pushed out by Derek Mayweather and Isaiah layin Washington has been an all-purpose back really improved throughout the season and they expect him to continue to grow in their program [Applause] from the Rattlers 45 on second and 3 Williams finds Robinson again to create space I'm telling you sometimes this game just not that difficult get the ball your best football player this is good defense by Florida mmm it's just better on offense on display by Jimmy Robinson you can't tackle him one-on-one the open field he is in the edge of your seat type player every time he touches it to be on the edge do you see because something big canal special player for sure play Sean Byrd tried to go up the middle and he was stunned by Cameron Smith Smith the junior out of Decatur along with Isaiah LAN [Applause] this is rate this what your senior quarterback to make smart decisions with the football ball security if we call a pass find the matchup don't risk the interception we saw a capias Williams for that last drive plenty of time to tone down that sideline that he's there the sticks never complain about completed passes but if I'm a quarterback and I run for three for four to forty and nobody's open you're gonna catch me I thought he should have run the football right up the middle probably would have picked up the first down instead they have to to game the Wildcats trying to create a little bit more separation here Florida A&M should roll the dice let's bethune-cookman because you know they're not going to go for a field goal it's two down territory I'm kind of set up for fourth down Robinson in motion the key here's Williams able to swim through there and he's down near the 1980 sitting motion to the right as a distraction you open up the runway for your quarterback Williams on the left again we talked about Williams one of the fastest on this team this young man who's his fifth year graduated already with his bachelor's whooping on his master's and trying to close out his bethune-cookman career with the win over fam you the handoff and a few netted as marquise Bell stops Robinson for yard gain there really wasn't much there but you don't complaint pick it up four yards on first down that keeps you ahead of the chains really like out there forcing Jimmy Robinson into this game player again remember you go back to that first drive for fulfilling cook many they took their time they walked down the field walk away with any points but since that time they put up 21 no wearing a gun for Achebe Estonians as he's wrapped up what a great decision so you're taught when you're doing that then read option if anybody's gonna jeopardize disrupting the quarterback running back exchange so watch this he knows he's going to get hit he pulls it up you can hit him I'm gonna protect the football and almost pick up a first down that's a great job by Kubek Williams in the renegade Williams who entered into today's game as the Wildcats leading rusher with six carries and 26 yards to go along with a score on the ground [Applause] [Music] and quarterback they practices fooling the defense making you think you gave the ball away and you pull it and that case their keys Williams is fool Tiffany great what a nice responsive drive from bethune-cookman after the Rattlers made it a one-point game but cool marching down the field in the red zone killing the drive back crossing the goal line they're taking their time on this Drive go handing it off to the darién Wilson and a flag comes out on the far side [Applause] illegal formation that's Batman in the backfield foie gras Hillary first take a look what do they call they say five men in the backfield you've got one you've got two three four that's easy one of these wide receivers has to get up on the line of scrimmage if what bethune-cookman penalties even though that's just a five-yard variety have [Applause] ille opportune times perhaps this game have been stretched out a little bit wider one or two still first flowers the offensive line has to protect better however you have to get rid of this football throw it away you're completely out of field goal range now you've got a backup field goal kicker in there that's what when you just get rid of the football you're still on the 10-yard line you're still the field goal range huge for Florida a them first of the day for either team and it's now second and goal this time from the 18 and Terry Sims ran over to call a timeout we'll step aside as well second a goal with you come back [Music] it's bringing the flavor brought to you by McDonald's [Music] oh yeah this 40th edition of the Florida classic has given us all we've wanted a key B is Williams on second and goal tuckson tries to find some room and Elijah Richardson there to deliver a blow and now it's third and gold you gotta give a shout out my man gave me one of the Wildcat turnover change he gave me one so get me shot and I appreciate that yeah third and goal what's the decision what do you do here you gotta put in Williams that's been your guy first Reid should be Jimmy Robinson if he gets one-on-one Mohammed kiba's Williams if he picked up three or four yards you can probably go for a field goal Williams quickly fling set out in Isaac Washington is brought down by Marquis Pell was that enough Jane we're gonna find out the decision it's warm down here on the 10 I think we've seen just enough leg for him to make a feel bone from this distance even my good Thomas is a wide receiver and Marcus Riley go seems to be cramping and that short break may allow an opportunity for bethune-cookman to discuss their strategy to pick the bottle remember Jonathan Thomas a backup kicker stepping in alright hit up an injured player down on the ground or be concerned about they're using this like a full-fledged timeout I think this is kind of look at home you have a clamp you don't want to bend that leg you keep that big straight instead let us see see it the top view screen he's there do is jump it great mark is right that he made France but it just seems like it came tomatoes to top leadership gutsy performance by a fool cook the cover this game they don't kicker available all the fork down [Music] football the 24 cores gonna be key but they got a go for it on fourth down [Applause] on a3 blame slide coming into today's game best offensive outputs in a few weeks Octavius Williams looking try to get find anywhere to go head Mayweather along with Cameron Smith were able to slow Williams and a turnover on downs [Music] [Applause] the Florida A&M defense holds second sag of the game the Rattlers will get the ball [Music] tonight it's a big one coming up as the sixth ranked Oregon Ducks go to Tempe Arizona to take on farm Edwards crew at Arizona State 7:30 Eastern 4:30 Pacific on ABC and the ESPN take a look at Justin Herbert you don't know he could be the number one man call for the upcoming the NFL Draft the quarterback from Oregon he can throw it Florida A&M signal caller Brian Stanley can throw it as well we'll see what they can do starting deep in their own territory of the hands of Komori young as we send it down to Lauren Harris well the guys on the sidelines are trying to exude a lot of energy especially the defense as they traded places with the offense the model that they were yelling protect the crib protect the crib I know Elijah Robinson Richardson rather told me that was a model that they were trying to implement they're making Orlando their home celebration ball or not they plan on winning aka protecting the crib appreciate that Marisha as Elijah Richardson's crib is port st. Lucie but right now trying to get comfortable inside Camping World Stadium the pass delivered and a bullet to Marcus Williams the Williams come up big for the Rattlers today that a good football game got a touchdown made some catches and going across go across there full speed Stanley hit subscribe picks up the first down for the rabbit he's repping the crib from Miami 305 out of Miami northwestern high school first and ten mission bonnet and he was quickly met by Jerome Halbert remember Jerome Hauer had that block punt earlier in the game pickup of zero none and this is what's ironic to me whenever they use three defensive linemen they seem to get more pressure on the backfield of Florida in content to the traditional four-man defensive front so defensive coordinator yogi Jones sticking with three down linemen and that seems to be given the Rattlers trouble like they weren't expecting it [Applause] stepping up we see them do this a couple [Applause] the three-year starter who quarterbacks the defense Horvath [Applause] school [Applause] decisive towards the end of the run that ball is knocked out that is a clear fumbling great jabber action by middle linebacker David James gets aggressive the guys from defensive player two running back along the sideline with some help with a lead blocker in the end zone it was marques Hendricks who freed the ball and then Devin James picked it back up and ran into the end zone this is going to be a quick review you see it he's get ready give himself up but he changed his mind she mentioned Hendricks on the tackle backs the ball away Devon James does the rest [Applause] is that devon james also from port st. Lucie you heard Maria talk about a Richardson who's run the same plays trying to pump up [Applause] [Music] but it's Deb and James who comes up in this going on with the linebacker playing Port st. Lucie to premier players in this conference but Devin James got the best and the Rattler outfits if the coal roads on the field which was ruled a fumble [Applause] only thing they could be looking at this long with any step out point going to return [Applause] what is J as they review this as the third turnover by Ryan Stanley in this game there to see does he step out of bounds what's that bumpy 11-yard wine in this type of game that we know that bethune-cookman kidnap it feel bones do they will have a field goal kickers they've been going for it all evening right now they would that be in field goal range so this would be an opportunity for that Florida and deepest to make a stand this will be a really important call as warming Bernard still trying get the final word they're still trying to sort it out open the replay booth meanwhile and Stanley these games have always been so important but against Bethune cooked has yet to come for Stanley and they know how to get to Ryan Stanton [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] close football's a game of inches the play like that you have to give credit to the pursuit by as in day rain getting back in the plane making exist enough of an impact to force the brother to go out about but the ball is placed at the 11 yard line I'm curious to know what more could they be discussing but maybe looking at the clock to see where the clocks should be but go back to your point on Ryan standards [Applause] during the turn if we think before you step out of that $11 it will be fun [Applause] play clock operator please reset the game clock to ten seconds flat we'll start on the snap we kind of saw that coming but you know I think Larissa talked about you dis alluded to it you got all those numbers some people say numbers are at the quarterback you mentioned by Douglas and I think it would be disappointing if standard is not in his career with the victory over the in-state rival Florida between took about that but [Music] [Applause] on first and 10 the handout that Derrick main weather was the bus to get to the ball carrier and then Eric Smith came over to seal the deal and stop Isaac Washington in the red zone the most successful fool Cookman has had has been running the football with the Kiva's wood when they try to displace match mountain run downhill they have not had success he gets this for they and their defense looked at them to try and get Williams on the perimeter three trips to the red zone the Wildcats one touchdown to show forward [Applause] just look like a false start the top of your screen well story number 63 second down [Applause] that backs him up more yards lot still running in before the end of the quarter one two in this case but seems like they're getting set to go they did bring Ginny Robertson back into the game it's a smart move and Williams who satellites around the red zone because he's success and goody yardage there picked up on that second down carry good for a third quarter in the books final period all the way from [Applause] [Music] football fans what more could you ask for one point separating in-state rivals here from the Florida classic bethune-cookman on 3rd and 7 and stopped roughly by Ronaldo flowers Isaac Washington really had nowhere to go and on fourth down we've talked about all day long no true kicker but they will try a new unit onto the field and perhaps we could see a field goal attempted here with Jonathan Thomas the receiver / kicker he's been able to make extra points barely now can he make a field goal that you'd get through a little bit more cushion five yards really have enough leg he's able to get around eternity he had to pull that a little bit the ball is on the far right hand you talk about clutch it's good job by John B Thomas the sophomore says where there is a will there's a way he gets his team there by 4:00 [Music] while the Wildcat can cook right now the Wildcats are born and they're looking the snap a three-game using skin and clothes out the year with the W we'll have to give credit to the field cook with specialty knowing they don't have to kick it up to kick the ball screaming deep they've done a good to put minimize in the return yardage Marcus Williams though still estate across the 40-yard line but return as she stopped stubs to turnovers tonight for Ryan Stanley you go back to that opening drive that was the Pick six and that started the scoring for Bethune Cookman gave them the early advantage and the last one last drop very fortunate on this fumble we thought it was a touchdown instead we saw the James stepped out about to the 11 yard line and only cost the Rattlers three points instead of seven for defensive linemen in the game this is when Stanley's had success throwing the ball when he can dissect the coverage before snap [Applause] the lamp game [Music] the second time they may be picking us up Bourdain first time back that would have been the second time that we had seen a delay of game come but really Simmons wives we call the timeout before I don't know how wise it is I'm his first down you got a quarterback that can throw I think the time may prove more viable than the five yards you know you may need to stop the clock that's her point if you can't get the lead back you need to get the football so much the second half they are and so the aggressive second year head coach sends his offensive unit back onto the field we'll see what he doctored up for their offense number one passing attack in the MEAC second overall in scoring pick up 33 a game today they 20 so far Devon Kendrick but face mass may have been grass slam to the ground that was Tiberius Peters hard running hard he got twisted turn a couple time copies the face master did he catch him these intimate changes direction and then it gets not [Music] see that's why I should be quiet sitting for my purview it looked like when he was turned around he may have got a piece of it but dick it's Xavier Smith in motion Smith to the light side and he's near the chains going deep out-of-bounds into his own now big up third and short that was his speed and we talked about Xavier Smith the receiver but there we'll chance sweet but that's how you get your best players involved in the offense kind of wide woven this game with a trying to jumpstart him their big play wide receivers that 11 receiving touchdowns on the year with over a thousand yards and showing you the speed able to get to the edge we saw that work for Florida and this game in the world Chuck with the first down [Applause] the food cook Minh took it and sinker fresh material Jennings of the big back piece of down here way elevates just enough to get the pass off for the huge [Music] 27 yards freshman to freshman Kendrick are the Keary and Devon Kendrick kids going into the red zone it took to partay Lords and debauchery Hampton to bring him down [Applause] the handoff again finds a hole just near the 1-yard they'll spot him at the two second and going quickly to the line may have seen some movement up o'clock the 50-50 ball and it's thrown out of bounds they hurry up no huddle once the tacky wasn't there spam they just got rid of it [Music] as close was it a jumper not but they didn't call it Stanley that good chance anything not trying to do too much we've got the ball a great position throw it away let's go to third down and go go downhill run the ball with 23 I'm gonna keep 23 in the game he's out here but back there we've had success running [Music] don't go sideways [Music] trying to finds a blocker still on his feet [Music] [Applause] and that by Jerome Howard and Marquis entrance towards down there went sideways why go sideways he had success running the Big Bang [Music] knocks images dharna kick the field goal they just had a good stop on you get it to a one-point game the only points on the board you're chasing this year down by [Applause] surprised at the losing two yards coach Willie Simmons now shot he was a former gun slim [Applause] first lead gutsy call he's trying to win the Florida placer throw your pop quarterback get the time Reyes bid that multi-purpose wide receiver for them all season long [Applause] a little bit late with the tackle coming up was Hampton gets it in the first need in this football game [Applause] before yahia are we here continue with the test at 40 in the previous blank is that a puddle review that review must be coming from up top at the replay booth and so Rory Bernard will sprint to the other end of the field to confirm or overturning the call seems like pretty clear he placed the ball inside these not daring places it is ball lands inside broke the plane [Applause] they may table dance and that's a touchdown and what looks to be pretty cut-and-dry they'll look it over just to make sure [Applause] moving on the field as in DeRay games Butler nation something to cheer about before yeah I'll be here for the touchdown for day the previous blank is ever further review that review must be coming from up top at the replay booth and so Worley bernard will split to the other end of the field to confirm for overturning the call seemed like pretty clear he placed the ball inside these not dating places it is ball lands inside broke the plane [Applause] I'm a table dancer that's a touchdown [Music] and what looks to be pretty cut-and-dry they'll look it over just to make sure [Applause] moving on the field of the test and the Zende ray games Brettler nation something that you're about the Akita Arlene on for the extra point [Applause] and it's good 27:24 as in de rain with a couple of touchdowns today coming up in Klimov it's for his Rattlers [Music] ESPN college football is presented by McDonald's look you put some fuel on that fire and the continuing in this fourth quarter they took their first lead of the ballgame that they want this win than anybody else they have yet to beat the Wildcats but right now with the three point lead 11:01 remaining in the fourth quarter I'm gonna be one for the history books it feels longer the tougher days Jimmy referencing [Music] and he strolled down to the ground by Ricky he is special he is special havoc he accelerates so quick he wants it the blockings not there but he's not giving up he's just looking for a crease accelerate stop change directions keep your balance accelerate stiff arm and just one tackle away from getting to the outside again [Applause] what was fun to watch play you say that edge-of-your-seat type of runner and he's one of 16 seniors for bethune-cookman that wants to keep the street going Williams pulls it down and it hung in the air and marques bell almost had an opportunity to get to it that's the adjustment that was made by defensive coordinator Ralph Street for Florida in them bring the pressure anticipate the slant route coming in behind so they brought Terry Jefferson from the outside they knew that Williams was going to pull it try and connect with the slap and they had to safety they're ready for an interception almost a big play they're gonna get the same look they're gonna bring number one from up top but number 41 Doyle Grimes the 5th year senior of Miami brought the pressure and one of the weaknesses for bethune-cookman I believe this season has been their offensive line not a really good group but you see how many white jerseys are there to offer they just don't do a satisfactory job of protecting their quarterback and that puts Williams under so much stress they need to figure out a way to just block there's three man defensive line can float in them [Music] Terry Jefferson from the slide he's going to come and bring pressure but that can't disrupt what you're going to do he showed a lot more pressure coming up front to mind train more is to be good this could be good stairs gets the pass complete near the first Washington making it happen Bluetooth moving back and forth stays on his feet good for this is just going to hit ball running around changing direction so much speed at the quarterback position then gets the bottle Washington change directions find the first down quick snap Williams looking back finds Marcus Wylie for the quick completion he steps up bounds [Applause] I mean Phoebus Williams covers up for an offensive line that struggles to protect the quarterback the bethune-cookman they haven't given up any sacks excuse me they've had to sex today giving up to sex on the carry up the middle they quays on bird [Applause] as a gain of about just enough for the first down in the way that bastard spiritual I've said it before get in there band plays more like any other school I've seen in the country when the band gets into it the football team starts to make it happen late equation bird as marquise Bell number five for the Riddler's he isn't a player he likes to lay that way they bailed the first year transfer from Coffeyville Community College they were so excited about him after week one on campus they said he's going to be an all-american that's a no that's it you'll know [Applause] I thought there's no review display they're going to check for targeting we'll see what they have to say when we come back another look here at his targeting call on a marquis bell and you see him Lord his shoulder leading with the crown of his helmet and they have confirmed the targeting call and he is disqualified for the remainder of this game his season is done that's a tough one but that was an obvious target and that can do damage to himself as well no use for using the helmet a capias money of the hands of Darryl Powell I mean this was the play here and this is where you need to be a little bit more accurate as a quarterback in college football you're open by three yards ahead of your defender don't put the ball in position where the defensive back can come back into the play he was open for a while but a little bit of a late throw the lab equipment jumps off sides again self-inflicted wound second [Applause] I mean look this thing back-to-back play one you should have had a touchdown to you jump off side you don't have a field goal kicker so now you're looking at second and 15 the little things just keep her to Cookman while the regular basis particularly the latter part of the season twelve penalties in this game for bethune-cookman Jimmy Robinson in motion the handoff and wrapped up immediately that was Cameron Burton he was there throwing up the hooks to graduate out of Ocala Florida only allows one yard you see him just he goes unblocked [Applause] great recognition by camera Bergen making the tackle for loss our third and 14 from the night Oh [Applause] [Music] [Applause] the handoff and going with the glad game here when you don't have a kicker J and you're down by three do you like that call because Cameron Burt says I don't like the second-guess coordinators too often but it just doesn't make sense to me doesn't add up you all get the ball down there it's in a close game and three runs in this field going to tie this questionable now because this has got to be the max extent of the rain from Jonathan Thomas he's already made one from 25 yards out this one push back ten more the 35 yards for Thomas [Music] you feel a chain in the stadium more than 50 [Music] coming up tonight at 7:30 Eastern Oregon and Arizona State go head to head over on ABC as the Ducks have won nine in a row since their week one loss to Auburn back in August also manhandled Arizona State much like with the equipment has done to Florida A&M in this last decade but the 13th ranked wrestlers hop on the first - Xavier Smith it's a first down we'll send it down to Harris the bethune-cookman kick for Xavier McDonald he was a game-time decision because we were told I was told rather that he injured his kicking leg his right ankle during practice so right before the game it was a difficult time for him so they decided to go with Jonathan Thomas who we've seen on double duty tonight serving as a white receiver and has the kicking person thanks so much Larissa pick me at question all game loss that was so we knew there was something that happened to the kicker but you got to tip your hat to Jonathan Thomas the effort that he's put in Russia Malthus he was a cornerback wide receiver I mean we've seen some two-way players on all levels really but the college is especially tough to do it when you're pressed into a role like that second in eight 6:30 and ticking to go in this ball game [Applause] and this one is and they took Marcus Williams out of bounds it'll bring up third down just as a quarterback that's just amazing me like all I'm looking forward to profit of boring is seeing the watch I'm looking to see how many defensive linemen bethune-cookman hats on the field and when they have four D lineman top quickly Ryan Stanley gets rid of the football when they go in exotic look he holds it he tucks it he'll run it but when he sees these Rinella looks at the 4-3 defense watch how quickly he makes his decision third and eight he has time five is banned on the that's the tide in Kumari young he gets rid of it quickly and realize they're just playing quarter coverage everybody's off and Willie Simmons a little bit disappointed there well that first half Brian Stanley had a hundred 450 for passing yards a couple of TVs and an interception in this second half just 42 yards but in there he was able to find the endzone and watch this Chris module this is where he can have an impact on the game big leg Potter we kick from tadoule nowhere to go and the ball is on the ground that could be some kick catch interfere terms yes to give the receiver a chance to catch the ball and collect it and look like the Rattlers may have gotten there too soon after that 49 yard park from Chris module [Applause] kick ass in a pharisee kicking team here's the guillotine is there clothes to go to the ball hits the ground so once he catches it he still has to have an opportunity after the bobble to catch the ball before it touches the turf well you'll see right there that's an easy call for the official to make the cook was going to be given 15 yards a better field position [Applause] I think interesting ly enough you have a quick series for fan use offense and saw their defense who held now comes back onto the field [Applause] keeping us moisés with the pressure he gets it away but I tell you the pursuit up front from Isaiah what's good as I mentioned he's the game changer for chlordane them that defensive man that's quick enough to spy Akitas williams and change direction to make some plays get back to getting zip you're on to the ball and simplify the game get the ball to number one for Bethune Cookman TBS Williams on the rollout finds Marcus Riley [Applause] Riley who came back with a couple of good catches first hand gets them closer to that 39 yard line excuse me 41 yard line that's the line the game short yardage Gussie Williams under center for the first time in this football game this is a big third down you see a number of white jerseys coming up the tops to the outside sweep right like my flag football class now play quarterback first I had to learn to do was turn and spin the ball I'm scared to watch the quarterback he got turned his back to the defense we don't like doing that good job getting out front they brought in the full-back Jeremy Beauchamp picked up the first down play shot bird last carry remains in the backfield the handoff again to bird and bird is stopped by the montre more the 5th year senior out of Tampa Florida sets the edge in the run game but there he said don't try to come through me and the duel needs an energy right now they need a spark it's a man come on man you guys are part of the program down there Daytona Beach they need to get on the edge of their seats start making some noise and that looks super the offensive coordinator needs to figure out a way to get the ball to number one he's lined up in the slot right now second from the top Williams gets it out Jefferson along with Troy Hilton giving pursuit to step on Francoise short game third down [Applause] [Music] crucial time here you don't need to pick it all up three minutes left I think this is four down territory Jimmy Robinson trotting back onto the field who's going to be in that slot position to the top of your screen [Applause] he's in motion take in the caring and a strong one bikeways on and when they leave in him he's been able to convert a couple of first downs on this Drive look who's showing a fight here in the fourth corner that's been missing a little bit been a tough year for faithful what unit the basketball this game Tiffany three minutes to go here from the classic Nikias Williams Richardson who nearly got the sack but Williams fortunate to get it away so credit is your Richardson with the sack why they call them in the grass he's gotta we see William to get away a couple times [Applause] [Music] a close one meanwhile for Elijah Richardson in his final Florida classic and outstanding in this program as de montreuil more has the attention of this trainers he's able to get off under his own power and truck to the sidelines Bethune Cookman that is their third never win football games with that many penalties particularly not against the number one team an HBCU football right now Eliza Richardson [Applause] as I mentioned working honest second degree with two kids left last season picked up venues third sack of the night now second way to go for the thing cookin Williams [Applause] does that zipper combination describe the free safety brand Francois down the semen the cubit Warriors with the huge completion 46 yards Bethune Cookman was able to convert a second and 25 they find themselves [Applause] I got two words tiffanie Florida class [Applause] [Music] that does it 37 remaining a 15-yard expired touchdown by Isaac Washington [Music] we're defining best down for just over two minutes to go as the Rattlers [Music] the last eight drives FAMU with a perfect last time [Music] [Applause] George what to the 40-yard line and excellence started position for I instead we talk so much [Applause] career the ups and the downs of this program we had a chance send his team back back excuse me to the celebration bowl of flax came up short here [Applause] [Music] the drive of the game [Music] [Applause] on the same page with as in day rain and Ju and I have talked about maybe not the signature wave in terms of the but they have come up with some all-important key wins including taking down to the finding celebration bowl champs five victories for the Rattlers have combined touchdown or less that's not leaving a lot of room for error but they been in this situation before so far 2019 and come away victorious in each instance [Applause] to his right find his man they what [Music] but a marker [Music] that way [Music] [Applause] you [Applause] and now it gets a little tougher for Willie Simmons food this is gonna be on the number 54 the palpable [Music] that's holder sup break [Applause] and now second and twenty as a man finds that soft spot the past complete - Marcus Williams and he gets wrapped up with the bethune-cookman player near midfield that was a catch of 17 yards great job delivering the football by Ryan Stanley [Music] third and three nearly batted down and caught Devon James he drops it and it's fourth down then your season is on the line with this play right now but Brian Stanley flip the script you want this moment you want the ball in team trailer rather than being on the sidelines you have an opportunity to make a play to submit your legacy take it step by step seize the moment don't run away [Music] on court down look from the pill Cookman defense excitedly have been confusing Ryan Stanley off football game the food cookin is a minute 25 seconds away number nine devon james fouls his eyes and makes the interception whoa three turnovers today for Florida and two interceptions Stanly remember earlier I said they caught that timeout earlier on first down instead of the delay game this more important that those five yards that they would have lost for having a third time out with the minute 25 [Applause] don't cook them go back to previous Florida classics [Music] has been in this position before daiquan Richardson have it and last year [Music] [Applause] Peter's with the pick-6 Florida to get to the celebration hold Devon James for the film cookin [Music] [Applause] 125 who saw this company yeah I mean only thing that Bethune Cookman had and their grass was the number eight and they could get number nine think about the food cook the season as a whole over the week they with the mad swag challenge but then there's a hurricane and to evacuate the campuses they have to stay in Atlanta for an extra week the news Clark Atlanta's practice facility their locker room because of the mold and it gets destroyed because of that the Wildcats have persevered through it all has been a long season what they like to say around there they told as name of the day they're gonna show the Wildcats in their finest hour the Terry Sims his demeanor has made it has allowed them to get to this point where they are victory they can hold on this is going to be extra special to him extra special for him in the top but he's done know he's proud of that team right there they are minute 21 away a couple plays from pulling off a huge upset here in Orlando one second and five the carry up the middle does it we took credit not only Terry Sims and this bethune-cookman football team but also the embrace [Applause] the new press [Applause] dr. evil point [Music] and Terry similes what a job this is probably bottles choked up if I saying coach Sam's live on the football field but this season is taking on him but you can tell he eats so proud of the team everybody kept saying oh the streak is ending this year the streak is over every month everybody but I always said it on your tip and you don't like to hear this but even when floor Damon was rolling early when they got to number one in the rankings I always said there's one school that could care less about that you can celebrate baby all I want but but the new takes that mindset we will see you in Orlando then they have done it [Music] portes group [Music] done a remarkable job and continuing all against their in-state rival but you also have to put a bow on the season for Florida A&M and the job that Willie Simmons has seniors who've fought to the finish all your mom couldn't participate in the postseason assault at home but they continue to fight [Applause] [Music] Terry Jefferson they deserve a lot of credit along but right now [Applause] to the third in a row it's another win but Terry Sims told me sweet sweet it is and ended the season with the victory as always what you want to do it you ain't for the coach in part am grandstand the remarkable career the future still bright I still think that flora day them rebirth is ahead of schedule two years into the millennium the number-one ranked team in the country they took it upset here they want a number of close games but they came up just one game short not able to pull the wing the victory but what a fantastic football game yeah absolutely the Rattlers finish off their season [Music] and to and nine consecutive wins after an opening season loss and we'll throw it down to the field with our Alysha wrists Larisa Harris is standing by with coach Terry Sims so since we saw you get emotional on the sidelines where are those emotions coming from and why just all these guys are here that was great great great to just see them come together the team and play you talked about execution are you happy with what you saw today I hope we executed in all three phases I had a receiver ticket number nine for you what does it mean personally thank you so much good well a capias William who's one of those players who had an outstanding it's bouncing back last week 269 yards couple of touchdowns and it's going on a kid's four-day live in his career 3027 the final score coming up next goldmine for Jay Walker Larisa Harris and our entire crew [Applause] the Florida classic another great one here from Orlando [Applause] you [Music]
