was the year that goose ate the golden egg and that apparently is reasonably accurate except the old goose has come down with a belly ache and you've had a glut of college football on television this year which may pour 10 some problems for the near future compete as a college administrator our problem it's over exposure is likely to hurt the gate attention in so we at the college level are looking for ways to have good television but protect the ticket sales the Florida Gators on the other hand while we have talked now about the new problem the Gators in their situation represent an old problem in college football that has to do with recruiting violations they have been banned from the Sugar Bowl their cases on appeal now with the NCAA but I would think in this ball game because they can't go anywhere else they might just be mad at Hornets either I think the first reaction was been a disappointment but then after time sets in it is anger and if you want a football team to be ready have them mad and that's what we will see out of the Gators today they are however as you say a complete team they're complete on both sides of football but the strength of this team is the biggest offensive line and the most active offensive line and in behind them three outstanding running backs that are big and strong and Florida State's got some real problems because they've got to keep the football away from this unit and do it by ball control I think as far as face one we win Rosabelle stipes their tail backs don't have to rush for over a hundred yards maybe a 175 for their meaning that and also the must point out the toilet has not allowed a single back to rush 400 yards so it's going to be a tough chore for Florida State that's famous football there is no way the Florida State defensive people can let Florida have the football for 35 minutes know they the Florida line outweighs the far state defense by about fifty pounds for a man and the part of me is worried about the wear and tear in the fourth quarter making it easy to make yardage it'll be an interesting ball game but then Bobby Bowden is a man that's got a lot of funny played it is playbook there's chief Osceola he's getting ready in so we now here is one of the more dramatic rituals in college football he's off the horse when a Seminole dismount beaming vision from men's aside as all of the garnet and gold balloons go fluttering up into a gray overcast sky we're ready to play football here in Tallahassee yet the Phil Campbell Stadium and we've got a storm hanging just out over the horizon there 30-yard line he caught it with his knee down keeping going to bring the ball back we've seen that before this year but first time it's been called there's the starting unit with Neal Anderson one of the running backs and we'll talk about them a lot today they're all good Jarnell Williams will open at fullback Gary roll is a wide receiver 511 170 and Ricky meteo is a sophomore wide receiver and one of their big play people when he caught the ball the knee was down and the first time this year that it's been called we've seen it not going so it's the 20 instead of the 30 and the Gators interesting story today both teams separate quarterbacks all over the place they have four or five of them but both the starters in today's ballgame Bertrand Bell who came out of nowhere to win the job he fought back is more mental than physical you can see the physical part of his skills but the mental part of it makes the quarterback Bobbie Raylan for the extra point and it's good so you've got 12 minutes and 8 seconds to play in the first quarter as Kerwin Bell hooks up with Frankie Neal on what will be a 33 yard dash runway for the touchdown first down both fake to the sweet linebackers coming up good throw Neal is outstanding receiver probably the most talented in the part on the Florida and he need to see his playing ability number 21 catches the ball to safety man of the other they were both struggling to try to get opened and let's see who they called it over definitely interference on one of the other Florida State man may have backed into an or they've Williams number 17 when he made a bad timing on the jump but the plays against it all back coming back the penalty is against Florida we've had a lot of penalties I guess that's intensity that Bobby Bowden was mentioning dick ball game like this sometimes get penalties early the Gators would have had the ball first and goal at the Florida State seven instead they're backed up now wiping out a 43 yard pick up on that fast play Jarvis Williams the right hat fact that got beaten on that particular pace had four interceptions he's had an outstanding year for a freshman coach is a very competent plays things that you can operate it kind of cuts down on you pass it so the defense can crowd the line of scrimmage the offensive line and lose their footing keep it smart I'm amazed if they vacancies good blocks because the pudding is what makes for an offensive lineman successful block the offense is very limited and then in under these conditions second down at about eight I think this
