response [Music] The Big Three has been nothing but fake trouble for the NBA since uniting around high expectations but the Bucks have a three of their own playing the best basketball of his young career an unseasonably warm winter gets a little hotter tonight [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Miami brings all of its Firepower into tonight's rematch with the Bucks and for its part Milwaukee has already beaten the heat on the road no less Miami so-called big three may have been surprised by today's temperate start to February in Milwaukee they are ready for the heat Brandon Jennings in the Bucks Unleashed in South Florida 10 days ago good evening welcome to Bucks basketball with John McLaughlin I'm Jim paschke you know Miami has a payback in mind and tonight we will see the full big three Dwyane Wade rejoins LeBron James and Chris Bosh well I'll tell you this Jim all three of them feel like we need to come in here and take charge of this one because Milwaukee man handled us can you believe that the Bucks did beat them no question starts with Chris Fox wonderful players they'll go to him early excellent on the elbow good jump shooter can get to the basket very smooth somewhat unsung in this group because he's solid no question then there's Dwyane Wade one of the two or three best penetrators in basketball and certainly finishers Dynamic explosive player very much of his game is also plays like this and then getting to the free-throw line big factor in this game tonight the weight is back he is healthy so we know what that means here in Milwaukee for sure and then there's the rosin man LeBron James and of course he's going to play in big time tonight great 101 player tremendous athlete and I know this is a game he is taking on his shoulders saying we need payback and we're going to get it tonight the Bucks stunned Miami at home holding the heat to a season low 82 points that fact has not been forgotten any Scott Sky's team you know gonna play hard you know play hardest goals for 48 minutes as possible and uh you know they had us in our low at averages and we understand what we need to do with this game to get better with it but uh that's a really good defensive team you know and uh we look forward to the challenge those turnovers they did a good job of uh getting into US physically and um you know they they did a fantastic job of using their hands uh disrupting the passing lanes and quite frankly we just didn't take care of the ball Miami knows the Bucks are hot Milwaukee winning five of its last seven they're moving the ball and scoring in triple digits throw the needle under there tonight against any team in the NBA you need to shoot well but against the better teams you better shoot well if you're going to have a shot at winning Miami is a good defending team they're going to bring it tonight as the defense event believe me so the Bucks must continue to share the ball the way they have it's been beautiful to watch at times five men touch the ball and then pay it off with the basket Brandon Jennings doesn't always shoot well against the Heat but overall that is not the case Kelly Hughes looks at a hot streak that at the Bradley Center all season long shooting over 50 percent from the field Brandon's third NBA season has been his best so far as a pro as he continues to string together one proficient game after another if you look over the last eight games specifically Jennings has been putting inward averaging 23 and a half points with six assists a game over that span if you look at the grand scheme of things and Brandon took the traditional College route he would be a junior this season and he would be having his best season all of his numbers are over his career averages and he'll look to keep it rolling against the Heat the Bucks blew a cold front through South Beach nine days ago and we'll see if they can chill out the heat in Milwaukee Jim Penske and John McLaughlin are up next with the tip shooting second best scoring team in the league Miami leads to Southeast Division and his second in the Eastern Playoff bracket tonight Brandon Jennings and Sean Livingston Delfino Gooden and Bob amuti up front for Scott Stiles the Bucks are on a run of excellent team play Lately the Bucks are moving the ball scoring and tonight's jab won his defense Scott knows that Miami will mount it all out assault early tonight coming up tonight the king at his court how will the Bucks attack Miami's big three defensively we'll track it throughout the night plus he's the homecoming King tonight Dwayne Wade returns to his college stomping grounds here at the Bradley Center and getting offensive the Bucks have scored over 100 points in four straight games something that hasn't been done in a while we'll tell you why they are clicking at the moment [Applause] we will get the keys to the game very shortly we are underway here at the Bradley Center a nice ground on this Wednesday night [Music] the Bucks winning in South Florida they did a great job in a lot of facets of that game Drew good and with the miss the officials tonight Eddie F Rush Curtis Blair and Leon wood [Music] bayamote defending Bosch at the start of every game they run that same play screen across the free-throw line to Bosch bring into the elbow let him work and get the first basket he's really a startup quarter guy on an after timeout player for Miami to go to him a lot three-pointer Jennings why do they go to a player like that in those situations so regular yes Bosh teams do that a lot to establish him uh because you know the other two are going to be established all night they know that he's good in that situation good defensive hands Buffs and and they want to get him a first touch Jim just to get him established I think and show them that third one because the other two are going to bring it for sure let it be a part of it right I think so and and I I think he has a high efficiency rate for them on that play especially after timeouts that's a travel turn over in Miami trying your keys to the game okay aggressive offense when the Bucks really play like attacking moving the ball uh driving cutting it pays off D the paint if you can they're one of the best in the NBA getting to paint James and Wade in particular and holds down the fouls if you can because that is huge when you play money good and with a power duck attempt he is found by Joel Anthony these are two of the hotter teams in the league Miami has won five the Bucks five of seven now this is another example of good ball movement as good as they are defensively you can find their openings and we've seen two already Gooden's had an open jumper and now one right down the boulevard when you swing it they will rotate and when they rotate or if they double team you can find the seams free throws are huge in this game we saw it in Miami the Bucks matched the heat you want to draw fouls and you want to commit fouls you want to put Miami on the line the difference is critical you don't want a wide gap between their attempts and your attempts and the makes obviously you're going to put them on the line because Wade and James get fouled and then you had other players they're going to get there so in saying that you've got to try to make them at your Inn and get there which as you said a moment ago the Bucks did in game one well the reason I said you want to put them on the line is because as we saw in Miami it takes away their Flow game it disrupts the flow they can't get on those long runs if they're shooting free throw three-pointer Carlos Delfino as long as you are shooting free throws with him that's my point if they get away on that then they can blow the game open because you know Wade so many of his points come into line I mean here's a guy that is one of the top three getting the line he's there already on a transition play not even a half court Drive Carlos Delfino picks up his first can't look at his overall numbers in turn because he's missed games you know but if he played 82 games he would be up there in the top three if not top one or two in terms of attempts the Megabucks watch leaders Jennings 20.1 points a game Andrew bogett the rebound leader and Brandon continues to lead the Bucks in the sister game and steals the game you don't really care how many free throws Miami attempts as long as you're in the ballpark with them stay close well I understand your point Jim but it depends on how many guys you're fouling out and who you're fouling out you know what I mean and who you're putting there but if you can get there also you're saying make them and you can match them tell you what I'd use a lot of fouls if it won the game Chris Bosh as his first well so far so good at least moving the ball getting there you're seeing early double teams by Miami we saw 69 free throws in South Florida and that was without way right that's going to be another what 15 the Bucks attempted one less 34-35 but they made one more 30-29 and that was a huge factor in that game Carlos on the push-off that's interesting you know James runs down there Carlos is on the top side but James has 15 feet for the pass to come to the basket Delfino will re be replaced by Stephen Jackson after that foul that's the one they call right there that exits Carlos early that's not good and that's I guess that's that's my point you got to be careful that we don't put guys on the bench so early that are critical Defenders and Carlos is one of those now Jack has been playing some good individual defense when he has been on the court the officials will go to the replay based on a clear path situation that is one of the triggers Eddie F Rush is the crew chief he wants to make sure that they have it right Scott Skiles always takes the opportunity to pull his team together you will see what the officials are looking at [Music] him [Music] one of the criteria for a clear path is that the play starts in the backcourt generally which the pass did I believe you know this is one too that Carlos was not trying to commit a foul and he felt James had kind of pushed him off to gain that Advantage as well it will be a clear path foul free throw in possession I I won't tell you I've seen one that way set up quite that way their team will kind of lull you at times depending on where the ball is let's say it's out of out of bounds on the side floor they'll kind of walk around nonchalant and then boom get right into it this is one where James ran into positions kind of standing there as you can see the contact usually you don't get a guy in that position that soon thank you [Applause] Miami 404 from the line 9 29 remaining in the first quarter so they are establishing the free-throw line early tonight as they typically do James can almost at will get fouled but you know they clear out like this one-on-ones attacking three punter Mario Chalmers you don't need one of the others Chalmers or whomever to have a big night when you've got to deal with their three top guys LeBron alone gets to the line 10 times a game on average Chalmers jumped in front of our mute that's a nice piece of work by Livingston and defensively but then LeBron is there to clean it up he has six so if your throw passes like that and turn it over like that you'll be out of the game in the first quarter because this team will force you into turnovers and they will capitalize on them they will strike quickly foreign [Applause] inside the arc he has four points now you really need to make him put it down which he can do and then try to force him right as much as you can [Music] they do have a number of good shooters I mean if you look at it alone box shoots 53 game and first in scoring 21.2 points off opponent turnovers the Bucks are fifth enforcing and fourth in scoring 19.2 points off turnover well that tells you how big turnovers are for both of these teams in this game tonight John LeBron James with his 4500th assist is now the 17th player in history with over 17 000 points 4 500 rebounds 4 500 assists there are three actives he's one of them Kevin Garnett and Kobe the others and Gary Payton not quite eligible for the Hall of Fame but 13 other than those four with those numbers are all in the Hall of Fame very impressive for sure and of course James Cook is going to have many more of those in his career he's got a lot of years remained in his time James buckled as if Jackson fouled him [Applause] and his stuffed and he travels he was stopped by Joelle Anthony good job of getting out and playing and taking away the look by Drew and then staying with him all the way and not following him that's just outstanding defense all the way through Joel Anthony is a Defender he had just two points against the Bucks in Miami he's a shot blocker at times five against New York LeBron James a triple from the side and you know if Joe L comes into this game and does nothing more than shut Drew Gooden down don't let him don't let half Drew one of those 20-point nights that goes a long way toward helping the big win welcome back out to the perimeter now into Gooden double team on good and a turnover by Miami 5 26 in the first a Timeout on Fox Sports Wisconsin well 10 days ago Dwyane Wade was on the Shelf in South Florida and back then the Bucks still had Andrew Bogut LeBron James hits the bucks with 28 points 13 rebounds five assists Chris Bosh adds another 23 but he turned the ball over eight times that allows the Bucks to capitalize Versa on eliasova scores 16 Off the Bench while Brandon Jennings leads the Bucks to Victory 23 points 12 coming from the free-throw line a career high at 12 free throws made 91-82 the Bucks most impressive victory of the season because it came against a team that will challenge potentially for the championship on the road that wasn't a great plus minus for the bucks bucks lose Bogut they get weighed that's that's a big swing foreign you lay these passes out on this team they've got players and waiting one of the best at literally attacking the passing Lane they go for the Steal game one the Bucks turned it over 15 times but forced 22 and scored 22 points big factor in that game version as we mentioned a moment ago 16 Off the Bench in game one he's just been rebounding so well lately [Music] meeting up some of the defensive slack and rebounding slack with Andrew Bogart Wade inside he knows the rims here I guess he can literally attack the paint spin move and have good finishes impressive [Music] Jackson can't clean up after Brandon Jennings Wade and LeBron James has 11. there are two players on the court who have put up 55 points in this building the man with the Buck's recent offensive surge four games all over 100 points four when we took the defense as of late and rightfully so but you can't Overlook how they've been lightened up on the offensive end the Bucks have hit the century mark in four straight games averaging 102 points shooting 46 from the field 40 behind the three-point Arc while dishing out 22 and a half assist tonight will be a test of Wheels because the heat have the third longest accurate Street of holding teams under 100 at nine streak games and guys the Bucks have faced some good defensive teams including Chicago and the LA Lakers but this will be a tough test tonight because the heat seemed like they have it going and the Bucks have had a hard time scoring so far [Music] well tell me the Bucks are seven and two when they score 100 or more just two and nine when they are held under 100 points right now Jim it's not I'm sure I'm sorry it's not Buck shooting that's so bad it's what they're shooting they're shooting 79 that's the problem at this point one of the Bucks victories when allowing under a hundred of course came against Miami that's right well Miami's going to score tonight I mean they're off to a hot start I mean missing very few shots so that combination and then with a team that successfully gets to the free-throw line that's uh a lot to overcome out of this bucks defense [Applause] down to three 2.8 on the timer now you know this will be a play so that the man catching and I would think it may go to James catch and shoot Jack reaching in he gets hammered in the face there as well hand-to-hand combat oh see that's a killer that's a killer when you have guys like Cole get a shot with two seconds left and scores on you got to shut the other guys down you got your hands full with the three well it hurts when you defend the shot clock away and then get burned on a play like that Dunleavy is open for three oh James and Wade like to take it all the way down this time the ball is knocked out of bounds and the foul committed Barry Sanders picks up his first see what a guy like Larry needs to do he's a shot blocker and he's fairly quick instead of reaching in to try to steal it from the James you got to try to back up give with him and play him vertically if you can you're not you're going to get reaching fouls all the time and because the Miss was so bad that gave them a fast break start right there and they can run LeBron James has averaged 29.1 points a game against the Bucks in his career the only player tapping him in the last 25 plus Seasons Michael Jordan at 33.2 yeah we've seen that shot go in too many times from LeBron as we did Michael LeBron had 28 in Florida against the bucks he has 18 with 120 remaining in the first quarter you see one of the problems for the bucks also you're not getting any transition opportunities because shots like that or if you're not making them you're going to be down 50 in the first half it's tough to win when you allow a team to hit 80 percent of its shots push Jim against a good team like they are I mean if you don't move the ball movable I mean really spike it around there you got a big problem if you're just kind of moving standing dribbling they're going to eat you up and it's happening [Music] much with four assists on six field goals that may seem okay but Miami's moving the ball better than that and they're and they are geeing up and they're a good defensive team which we've all talked about Tilly talked about it you and I have they can get after you and they determined they're going to come in here and take control of this this game tonight [Applause] a scoring average then King James foreign got to make your shots against teams like this your margin of error is just too slight you know LeBron James previously is high was 22 and a quarter he outscored the Bucks in the first quarter tonight 24-23 8-9 from the field and he hit all three of his triple attempts now I think I have to make something very clear however I'm not faulting the Bucks defense this is one of those where you know they're they're there they're where James is he just goes further out or he raises up and shoots over you they're just that good mostly behind James at this point they only hit they have eight assists on 14 made baskets it's mostly been with James just taking and working fairly efficient first quarter 14 of 17 for 40 points seven for each from the line as a team I mean I don't know that I've seen a team quarter like that mostly him however in a long time if ever it's impressive yes so you just gotta keep fighting back keep digging in defensively be there in their face hope they start to miss some of these shots that they're shooting from the perimeter and then you got to rebound there you go Norris Cole pops it up to Bucks also seven of eight from the line in that first quarter so the teams were identical in that category but you're going to allow 82 percent free throws aren't going to matter nearly as much [Applause] [Music] [Applause] on the redo and it's Larry Sanders that went and got it off the offensive glass let's check in with Telly Hughes he has something for us well John exactly what you just said is what Stephen Jackson said in between quarters he said LeBron James is just hitting his jumpers he's not going to do that the entire game but if he does get past him they do need to do a better job of second pack but if you look at LeBron's 24 points in that first quarter they were mostly jump shot so we'll see if the Bucks can not only just harass him a little more on a perimeter but see if he does in fact start to miss some of those shots that's right Kelly now however I I will say this I don't think the bus can do much more but he could very well go on and have another quarter like that it's it's possible we'll soon make these jumpers but you got to believe he's going to miss some of them now this foul you just saw by Larry that's it not called for he doesn't have to be reaching and pouring at the ball on a guy that far out just defend up John lewer in the game the ball is lost by Mike Miller out of bounds got to really do all the little things like when you get to the freethrow line make them don't turn the ball over you got to do all of those little big things against a team like this when they're playing this well and one see how that started okay okay now goes to the to the right Jim he's double teamed on the side okay that's the tail end of it then they swing the ball back now you've got a man Advantage with lure in you know how much I like with this Bucks team the High screens and you're seeing Miami double team whenever you come off a screen with the ball this is on the ball and then there's just contact boom off that zone Ashland commits the foul Dunleavy dumps it down for lower he's double teamed in the post then maybe dancing and using the glass that is a impossible shot what a shot Mike made wow great time to use the glance that's right the rebound and the foul Louis was on his back ilyasova aggressive on the front side trying to knock it away the foul is on lure backside his first see and here's Bucks can't do a lot of things to change what we saw in the first half so if the bus can make their shots and that's from good Ball moving more Ball moving we started talking about that at the start of the game and make the shots you've gone through against this talented team and he finally it's a hustle game you've got to win the hustle game because on a night when a team like Miami has it going you're not going to out Talent them so you got to try to out hustle them and that starts with your key when you're behind like this this is something Joe wolf talked about as well well we mentioned that the Bucks did not turn it over in the second quarter they have five turnovers giving up nine points Miami 10 turnovers 10 points allowed the heat is 11-0 John when they allow fewer than 15 turnovers when they commit I should say fewer than 16 turnovers 15 or less well tonight you know as we look at all the numbers you know other than the difference in shooting percentage even though they only made three more field goals on the bus you know you can't ask a lot more out of the Bucks because LeBron just was Unreal I mean who's going to stop him but you got to stay the course stay the course stay in the game and which the Bucks are in and uh when the hustle game now hope that they missed some of those shots and then maybe the turnover Factor will start the other way in favor of the Bucks and they can transition a bit Miami has won eight of nine and in the eight victories they have turned it over on average 12.9 times a game so yeah it's that combination of them forcing and not doing you know and they're a team that behind Wade and others they just played the passing lanes and they they force you to turn it one of the best always it was an anomaly when Miami turned it over 22 times against the Bucks in game one Wade reverse no doesn't even draw Iron on the reverse and here come the Bucks Brandon Jennings Drew Gooden Carlos Delfino Luke Richard and Sean Livingston
