so we begin with in erie county with the news that today navy corpsman maxton williams soviet one of the 13 killed in afghanistan last month was laid to rest [Applause] [Music] family and friends family and friends gathered with the community to pay respects to 22 year old soviet who truly died a hero our lydia aspara reports from milan in the country under cloudy skies with grace and respect the ceremonial guards carried the body of navy corpsman maxton soviet [Applause] [Music] mourners along with ohio governor mike dewine gathered outside the firelands field house for the final goodbye they call me dark but i ain't got no degree there are very few words for such profound grief but somehow his family he threw himself into everything he did with a fierce passion found the strength he died doing what he was passionate about surrounded by his brothers and that brings me some peace a peace from within hey big brother say hi to nayla for me and i hope you rest in eternal peace to the other military members up there please take care of him and thank you for your service i'll see you again one day max i love you i will forever be so proud of you in one of his last pictures he was providing aid for some orphans and the injured it was while he was providing aid that the bombers slipped up into the chaos and struck our son did not suffer as the service ended the cloudy skies opened up to a sunny day perhaps it was max as his family would call him reminding everyone to let your light shine well done good and faithful servant grace how sweet this [Music] my heroes [Music] that was lydia espara reporting the navy says soviet was buried privately today in an undisclosed location
