Nashville’s TOP Game Day Sports Bars | Episode 908

we're going to be talking about some of the best locations in Nashville to watch a football game either a college football game or an NFL football game and we're going to be in downtown Nashville quite a bit and we're going to be starting off with Acme Feed and Seed yeah so this is a really cool guide to kind of complement the other fall stuff that we've done uh if you if this is your first episode welcome we've got an incredible fall series at nationaldailypodcast.com to really kind of crank up all of the Fall feels and and do the things that makes fall fall here in Tennessee and one of those things is experiencing a football game whether it is in person at Nissan Stadium or whether that is cheering on your your favorite team which may not be the Titans at another sports bar uh but like Stewart said Acme Feed and Seed is going to kick off our list of of uh some of the first places to watch a Titans game here in Nashville on game day also acne feed and see it's really interesting because I believe this is where the busing of the boys watch party happens that is correct every time there's a home game I think it's not every home game I think it's uh they have a list on bus with the boys website about the ones that they are have partnered with Acme for yeah and so Acme VNC is located right on First Avenue and Broadway in downtown Nashville and the first floor is more of your like bar type experience your second floor is like a sushi type experience the third floor I believe is for private events or it's the second floor I always confuse that and then the rooftop experience is fantastic I don't think there's any TVs on the rooftop though of Acme Feed and Seed uh there may be but you know I am not sure people who are on the rooftop events are not for watching television my favorite thing at Acme Feed and Seed is the hot chicken bites all right so another location actually there's multiple locations of this I believe there's five throughout Middle Tennessee but this isn't a restaurant called ml Rose and uh the one that we're going to highlight is in capital view ml Rose serves some of the best burgers in Nashville we'll just go through some of these photos real quick I don't know if they're actually going to show a burger or not they are on our list for Top burgers in Nashville you can watch that video over on our Youtube channel xplr.nash search for top burgers in Nashville and you'll learn why ml Rose has some of the best burgers in town well if you're if you are a fan of in and out they have the animal style burger and we've heard a lot from a lot of people from from California that it's very similar to an in and out burger All right so Stuart I want to make sure I'm going in the same order you are okay so right across from Acme Feed and Seed literally right across the street so if you're done watching it Acme if you can hop on across the street uh still on Broadway and first and you will find Hard Rock Cafe yeah Hard Rock Cafe is a great place for watching uh NFL games they have I think they have the typical menu that you would find at all the Hard Rock Cafes but what's really interesting about Hard Rock Cafe if they they is they have specialty cocktails that are only Nashville based there you go all right so the the next location where you can get your Titans game party on is Sixth and Peabody uh otherwise known to a lot of people as that place that serves the Moonshine in Nashville yeah so this place is absolutely incredible so they have hee Hall uh Brewing Company they also have the Old Smoky Moonshine so around on their website right now they have what's really fascinating about 16p bodies they have live music they have the outdoor area they have that huge big screen where they do the watch parties on yeah it's just an incredible like full day activity type bar that that big uh that big LED wall that they have it's amazing it is great for game days um all right hop Smith Tavern over in Midtown is the next place that we are going to uh jump to and uh this this list we will have on our website where we're getting this from Nashville Guru every year they put out a list of where to watch the Titans game so this next one is hopsmith Tavern in Midtown yeah so this is a place that serves a lot of different beer options and they also have sports but here let's just look at their food this is very much like your Nashville uh menu yeah this is like your very Midtown menu in Nashville and then to go along with that it has a very similar menu but honestly we've heard fantastic things about this menu uh this is Hi-Fi Clyde's in Midtown off of Church Street they have incredible brunch uh they're the same group that is behind um that place in an edge Hill that used to be there there you go I couldn't remember for a second omelette Mamacita and I think they actually moved some of the Taco Mamacita stuff or at least they used to over into Clyde's I don't remember if that's still a thing anymore but but Clydes has gotten a great reputation for their food yeah so their Chicken and Waffles I've heard really good things about I've also heard really good things about their omelette options but let's just look in the inside of this real quick let's go to the gallery this is there are really fascinating restaurants there's actually a lot of room inside of there kind of looks like a an Old Brick uh manufacturing or Warehouse uh from the outside and look at this you can see that reflected on the inside yeah I mean great for groups great wrong yeah like like wow shutter board or whatever that's good that uh the shuffleboard yeah not like the not like another board not like the ones that you push that disc across on the floor it's like the table top another restaurant in downtown Nashville that's uh is it five stories six stories one two three four five six I completely forgot about this this is the diner in downtown Nashville the interesting thing about this restaurant is all of the floors have a different type of theme and food involved with them and I believe it's the is it the second or third floor that has like the sports bar type aspects or atmosphere I really don't remember if if it is or not it's been a second since I've been to like usually the top floor like when the diner first opened is where I would go okay uh the diner is one of the first let's see what the sixth floor offerings uh the diner is one of the first 24-hour places to serve alcohol in Nashville I think legally they Camp between like three and four a.m yeah uh but they kind of spearheaded uh uh all the late night alcohol Beyond 2 A.M serving in in Nashville they have a little self walk so you can explain there you go so yours by yourself so that way you know when you get there which floor to uh to to go on for the for the game all right so this is a place that's located in East Nashville and I've actually I don't think I've ever heard of this place I've passed it uh but I've never heard of like anyone having like experiences there but their food looks really good this is the Mainstay over in East Nashville yeah kind of say I've passed this all the time um if anybody has been to the Mainstay let us know um the pizza looks good it just looks what it's like bar food it really does so if you want if you're in East Nashville this may be the place to to get your Titans party on is the Mainstay and then because it's I think so close to Nissan Stadium you'll be able to hear the fireworks whenever Nashville scores a touchdown if and when uh so this is this is next place has two locations throughout Nashville one in Sylvan Park and the other one in Germantown and this is Neighbors Nashville and this is a great sports bar they have some of the best chicken wings in Nashville yeah always good things heard about that neighbors has been around for a bit they have been and they also have a Franklin location too I didn't know that yeah so neighbors is is kind of well known among the uh the Nashville locals and game day you can guarantee that this is going to be pretty packed all right so another bar that's really famous throughout Nashville is Jonathan's Grill but we're going to highlight the one in Germantown and just look at this cocktail and that food wow so Jonathan's Grill in Germantown it's actually pretty open as an area I I've been there once or twice I can't remember if there are TVs Galore there I believe there are yeah uh so I think it's a great game day place looks like oh there's some photos that may uh football okay very cool yeah so big game day atmosphere there and it has very much that Germantown style of a lot of open uh windows I believe so if it's a nice fall day that's going to be a great place to to be for the Titans games all right so another really great place is also located in Germantown their downtown or Germantown or the one in East Nashville but this is called third in the home and this is right off of the Sounds baseball stadium and I've heard incredible things about this the atmosphere for watching for sports here so the one thing that you have to be careful of with Jonathan's Grill and third at home is that you you actually do need to to really plan out your game day Journey there especially after a Titans game if it's a home game yeah these two places you will get trapped in right after the game if you plan on leaving as soon as the game's over so on these two places third at home and Jonathan's Grill you either need to just plan to stay there for a good bit probably an hour so after the game or leave before the game is over yeah this food looks amazing their chicken wings look fantastic yeah third at home I've had third in home once and it it really is a great place and goods if there's a what would really be a win is if there's a Titans game in the daytime and a sounds game in the evening time and you kind of caught it at a right time to catch both that'd be a win because it has an overview of the sound stadium that would be fantastic that'd be like a winner winner chicken dinner it really would and you could have a chicken dinner speaking of chicken dinners there's a restaurant called party fowl and they have locations all throughout Middle Tennessee they have The Gulch Donaldson Cool Springs Murfreesboro and all of them are basically Titans bars so you can watch the Titans game anytime any of the party fouls one of my favorite things at the party Foul is their brunch menu and I think we just need to throw this up real quick uh let's see The Donaldson location oh they just they have one in Florida Destin Florida yeah which is crazy uh but my favorite thing for brunch uh it's let's see it's like right here I can't remember exactly what it is but it's like apple it's the French toast there we are Hots chicken and stuffed French toast oh my goodness it's incredible yeah we're gonna need to get off that menu so we don't uh have to leave this episode and go eat a party fell right away uh so this is another restaurant I believe it started up in Bowling Green remember yeah this this on their website that's their Bowling Green location right there uh so let me see if we can find the Nashville location real quick uh we'll just show this uh but this is Double Dogs they have one in Sylvan Park they also have one in Hillsboro Village they have some great atmospheres when it comes to uh watching the game uh they also have let's go back to that this is super it's nachos inside of a dog bowl yep yep that's uh double dogs and you can get your nachos in a dog bowl there I think they have a couple appetizers in there but especially their location in Hillsboro Village is just has like a billion screens in it yeah so they're they are they are ready for game day uh almost almost any time of the week another place that we don't have on this list but I just want to highlight real quick for game day is the Corner Pub in downtown Nashville this is Martins that we're going to show here in a second oh you threw me off there you are okay well we'll pretend you didn't see that so uh Corner Pub on Fifth Avenue or J uh John representative John Lewis way uh oh yeah right next to rise Commerce it is incredible there's so many TVs there a great atmosphere for watching the game now let's go to Martin's Barbecue Martin's Barbecue has three locations in Nashville they have one in Spring Hill they have one in Nolensville they have one I believe in Chattanooga now or somewhere else throughout the state but Martin's Barbecue is a great place especially their downtown location on 4th Avenue this is the upstairs that you're seeing right here this has the the screens it has live music it has the ping pong tables it literally has the works I had Martin's recently ate the ribs and really did not have to I had the ribs for lunch and uh I mean filled me up for like a solid eight to ten hours yeah just a half rack that's great it was absolutely incredible probably the best friends I've had in a long long time before we move on to the next set of bars uh these are gonna be for the other NFL teams and the the college team that you might find represented you may be like Stuart and I you may be enjoying a college or NFL game from your couch Saturdays and Sunday game days may be a very relaxing experience for you at home and what
