NASCAR Disliked Wins

NASCAR may be one of hundreds of sports but I will say NASCAR fans are the most passionate and dedicated fans out there NASCAR fans expect their driver to win and when they don't NASCAR fans are extremely upset either heartbroken or en rage in this video we're going to look at Nascar's most disliked wins by fans and even drivers alike just like during the 2019 Bristol night race in the closing laps Denny Hamlin was running down matt deidad ditto Matt deidad ditto was looking for his first ever win in the Nascar Cup Series nothing would have been sweeter this also would have been his ticket to the playoffs his first ever playoff appearance but Denny hanlin took the win away and it was very heartbreaking for dead ditto and many Nascar fans he moved over to the 95 said give me a chance I'm betting on the fact that I can win races here comes the 11 now on they side by side for the lead a little contact de made that move because of this he believes he can get there maybe catch him use the 12 of blay as a pick Denny Hamlin now has the advantage he's in front Hamlin in front and Bristol will there be one last push to try to catch up to that 11 a lot of traffic as they come up on one lap to [Music] go and very tight for Denny Hamlin The Checkered Flag will fly Hamlin wins at Bristol uh I don't know so much I wanted to win so bad for these guys for this team for them giving me this opportunity uh I'm just thankful that they gave me this opportunity Toyota uh procore Duman Jets and EST wat PR that's all I'm so thankful but man I am I'm sad we got tight after the deal with Newman when he came up into us and it all of a sudden it got really tight after that but uh dude congrats to Denny he raced hard he's I I've been a fan of his since I was a kid to be racing door too with him at Bristol in front of a great group of fans uh I'm try try not to get emotional but it's been a it's been a tough week and um I just want to stick around and keep doing this for a long time to my I love it love the opportunity and I uh I'm not done yet something will come open it's going to it's going to happen I'm I'm here to win some's going to go come open I'm proud of these guys thankful for my wife and fans for sticking with me it's been a tough Journey it's been a a hard week and this is uh this cool for this team obviously very emotional Matt vetto this is probably the worst way to win your very first NASCAR race you've wrecked the most popular driver in the Nascar Cup Series and your teammate Jimmy Johnson Brian Vickers did that at Talladega in 2006 this was one of the first races ever that I can remember as a kid and it is definitely disliked by me and so many other fans Brian Vickers was definitely the enemy that day at Talladega it getting a little wider there he goes Junior oh no up the 48 it takes out nhart and Jimmy Johnson caution is out the leaders had already taken the White Flag being raced clean in nasar is something encouraged you want to race clean maybe a little bumping and banging but that's about it Joey lagano took it to a whole new level after being race clean for multiple laps by Martin Truex the very first chance he got he drove it in hit the back bumper the 78 pushed him up the track and almost turned him sideways this wind was hated by so many fans Martin shx Jr has the advantage as they come up the turn he'll see the white flag one more time around Martin shrex Jr on the inside looking for his first short track win as well as a trip to Miami to try to defend his championship the 2017 Champion will he get the bumper yes he does Here Comes Legato Legato on the inside a drag race they're sideways and it's going to be legato no getting the win myy baby TRX not happy great job buddy well and you see the the thumbs up from Joey Lano but Martin TRX Jr thumbs down let's hear from him he's with Parker right Rick he was joining him with the crowd booing there so Martin you heard the booze you heard what Joey had to say what's your thoughts on that move at the end May won the battle but he win the damn War that's it that's it so he's not going to get there you're not going to win the championship he ain't how do you retaliate I'm just not going to let him win it I'm going to win it you going to make it championship for it's the plan right now and know anything you want to say to all these fans out here that have come out and seen the show appreciate them being here they're awesome man this place is great we should be in Victory Lane right now but uh you know it's just the way it uh the way it went today didn't work out but uh proud of my guys proud of our team and uh you everybody said we're out said we couldn't run good at Martinsville we don't run good at short tracks we uh our team's shutting down so we can't make it to a championship for yeah bring it on I'll show I'm going to show everybody would you have done the same to him in the same position I was next to him for six laps I never I never knocked him out of the way we were going to race hard for it in my book and um you know I cleared him fair and square um I never even we weren't even banging doors for me to pass him he just uh strove in the back of me knocked me out of the way so that's short track racing Dale Jr is the most popular driver in NASCAR period there is no if ANS or buts about it Dale Jr was on a long losing street that he had it won since 2008 entering the 2011 season he and new crew chief Steve lart were looking to pick up some more victories their first shot at a win came so close at Charlotte during the Coca-Cola six 00 Junior will run out of gas oh so close to the Finish Line clear we're good to go Harvick third Reagan fourth legano fifth what a Topsy Turvy finish to the Coca-Cola 600 and there junor is scooting away uhoh uhoh he's slowing isn't he 150,000 people on their feet junor is slowing he's out of fuel he's out of gas and as at Indie the leader at turn four does not get to the flag Harvick the closer wins it once again where did he come from golly have you ever no I have once again [Music] never are you kidding me and unfortunately for junior Nation this wouldn't be the last time this ever happened during the 2014 Las Vegas race Dale Jr saw another wind slip away because of field mileage Brad kazlowski would ultimately take home the victory that day leaving Junior heartbroken and defeated one of the most iconic most hated wins by NASCAR isn't even done by the driver who won the race it's because of the call NASCAR did Tony Stewart beat Regan Smith at Talladega and it was hated by so many people David Reagan hasn't won Regan Smith the rookie Paul manard is there Tony Stewart has never won at alega in a NASCAR Sprint Cup car going have to do a lot of blocking right here they've got a run on him got a run here they come I can't go down there and do that though actually I think it's legal on the last lap he might have got it right there I think it's legal on the last lap here's the replay again watch a 01 and he got forced down there I mean Tony Stewart actually forced him down a little bit well yeah if you're going to consider that he only yeah they are saying Tony Stewart has won the race Tony Stewart is the official winner here at Talladega they would not allow that pass below the yellow line one of the most classic heartbreaking disliked wins was when Mark Martin lost the 2007 Daytona 500 Mark Martin had never won the Great American race and this was his best shot winning with just under two laps to go Harvick made a big charge from the outside down the back stretch on the very last lap of the race Mark Martin got loose into turn number three losing his momentum as Harvick Sid drafted to Victory almost squeezed Harvick into the wall and here comes Harvick the 29 with M K oh Mark got loose Mark got loose and Harvick's getting a run off turn four it's going to be a drag race all the way back to the start Finish Line no caution they're side by side right to the line big crash here they come Checkered Flag Kevin Harvick wins the Daytona 500 we got one call always Ruth coming across the start finish they're wrecking everywhere fighting for his first win in the Monster Energy Cup Series here comes the 18 on the outside Chase Elliot trying to hold on in the bottom the momentum on the high side Kyle Busch is going to pass it for the lead he makes his way out of turn four Kyle bu is going to win it over he lost his entire race car and able to 22 to catch him here comes the 22 he's closed the Gap all over the back bumper now as they've caught this slower traffic and around goes the 20 sideways in front of the 22 ksas slides coming out of turn four legano is going to win again at Kansas [Applause]
