My Personal Favorite Travel Trailer EVER!

hey everyone i'm matt welcome back to another video today i am super excited we're taking a look at one of the best designed travel trailers on the market today and it is my personal favorite this is a 2021 grand design imagine model 2800 bh we are gonna take a look at the outside features first then the inside features then we're gonna give you three things we love about the grand design imagine and three things we dislike about it we're starting in three two one hey everyone again welcome back to another video my name is matt from matt's rv reviews towables it's the world sewing channel giving you the true and biased review about everything when it comes to travel trailers fifth wheels and toy haulers and again today i am super excited to be taking a look at what is my personal favorite floor plan the 2800 bh but before i begin i would like to say hi to will hey will hey guys how's it going good nice day out here yes um yeah like i said this is a great floor plan yes and on top of it being a good floor plan it's grand design right so you know grand design is a great company yep and this is just my personal if i was this if i was designing an rv it would be just like this well let's begin all right model is 2800 bh but the actual tip to tip length of this travel trailer is 32 feet even the dry weight is 6 648 pounds and well the hitch weight 604 pounds awesome always remember you want to always use weight distribution bars up front here we have a nice power tongue jack from lipper component two 20-pound propane tanks are here you can upgrade them to 30 pounds and here's where your battery would go right here we have a very nice molded fiberglass front cap here it's the magin it's a painted front cap with the led light ship right there also i like this dark home material right there that you can see and then right down here we have a nice black diamond plate rock guard coming down the side here look at this big storage wow yeah that's huge not only that it's held up by a magnet not only that it's a slam latch door so you know we love that that's right manual stabilizing jacks uh all you do is take quartz joe go you know what i'm saying and then right here this is a new feature that they uh started implementing in 2018 i think uh is this second door to the bedroom area i love that i don't love the steps but they do have the step above steps down there but at least there are the aluminum steps if they're going to be the secondary steps coming down the side here huge power awning with led lights i love that right here here's where you can hook up a tv on the outside you have coax power not frameless windows no big deal uh and you have outside entertainment here and here's where you fill up your potable water bootable great look at these tires well they're the westlakes i love those they're the uh oh man what size are they i get st225-75 r15 nice rims and everything very nice coming outside here here's your solid steps i love that i love the solid steps and you have another um doorway to the living room area and then because it's great design it does come with a three-year limited structural warranty and it does have the arctic insulation four season package also fiberglass sides with aluminum framing very nice travel trailer then right here okay we have a little stovetop cooker and we have a little refrigerator right here very nice yes very nice coming around the back we do have a bumper for your stinky slinky that's your sewer hose spare tire spare tire carrier right here it is a 50 amp travel trailer so that's where the cord goes on the roof there's only one ac unit but it is prepped for the second air conditioning unit and it is prepped for a furion backup camera and will if somebody wants a furion backup camera or a sewer hose or weight distribution bars they can use our amazon affiliate code down in the description below it doesn't cost them anything extra and what's it do just help support the channel help support the channel thank you everyone finishing up with the driver's side look at this very great place for the stinky sling look i barely need to bend my knees to hook it up very nice is where you dump your black and gray tank here is a black tank flush right there super nice and then finishing up looks like there's another gray tank right there uh but it's not a release right uh yeah it's just a oh it's a great tank release and it does go down to the other one correct very very cool and then here's the other side of that storage and then look at this this is enclosed i love this your cable your water hookup your outside shower battery disconnect and everything super duper nice well well the outside of this trailer is great but it's the inside that looks even better let's go take a look all right this is my favorite travel trailer y'all carrying capacity 1 271 pounds all right so we got the bunks here bathroom right there living area kitchen and dining area here and the bedroom all the way in the front okay we're starting in the back all right we're starting with the bunk bed areas nice curved radius bunk beds you got the window there yep the window there very nice teddy bear series with a ladder also there is storage right down there oh and it lifts yes and it lifts up did it always do that i think so okay i i don't remember it does lift up so you can put even more storage in there i love that right here look at what's going on here compass connect by grand design huh i haven't seen this before i wonder what does that connect to your phone you think i don't know they're trying to get fancy and you know how i feel about fancy with the buttons i don't want all that um this looks like it still might be okay it's not a digital screen still buttons but still don't get too fancy grand design we got storage right here and a coat rack right here and then here's what i love this sofa is a trifold sleeper sofa it comes out and makes a whole bed i like it and what i really like is that it's directly across from here yeah that is very nice here's your tv it's a tcl tv and then right here's your dvd player and everything and this is a great place for a playstation or xbox and playstation or xbox you can't put it in something like this it has to be glass so uh the signal and that's great it's gonna keep your kids happy right here we have some great storage great storage drawers and more storage very nice very nice and then this is something that i really do love well first will is six foot three and will has plenty of height yeah very nice and look at this i love the nice big u-shaped dinette yeah that is cool now it's actually a little weird this seat back here is pretty thin but still you pull it out and a child would have no problem there or you just take this cushion off if somebody needs more butt room again they're trying to cram a lot in the 32 feet tip to tip um but still i love the u-shaped dinette it's plenty comfortable plenty big table and everything and i love the massive windows here in this travel trailer and then we also have privacy blinds right there well will it's now time for the msrp msrp on this travel trailer here is still not that bad 38 thousand 748 msrp sale price we don't currently have a sale price for two reasons one because it is a 2021 and two because it's grand design and they don't let us allow to advertise our sale price because we do have the best prices in america but will it doesn't matter what our sale price would have been we would always get people an even better sale price than that common they're gonna get the best price in america well let's continue the video all right now before we do i would like to mention i like the slide out right here that is cool it's just it's two-tone and it looks nice very nice all right so we'll start with the with the fridge and freezer which they did continue that yeah which is actually cool i mean the cabinets do it as well everything does it looks looks beautiful it's a two-way dometic fridge and freezer yep runs off both oops let me see that sorry runs on both propane and electric yep all right high point microwave just a little microwave a little bit of storage up top good for bread and a range hood here yeah so with a little light three burner it's not gonna fold right because of a sticker but three burner fury on cooktop there oh and it lights up a little lights yep and oven right there yes sir got a little bit of storage oh wow oh wow oh yeah i forgot they did that yep and it has the pegs for the pots and pans exactly very cool and i like how it's one big drawer so you can fit possibly right you really can um two more drawers here and some storage up top here as well good storage actually yep let's touch on this countertop yeah well first nice big um window right there as well yeah so countertops are not solid surface but they they seem pretty nice yep but tons of countertops oh yeah it's tons of counter space so that's very nice and then look at that backsplash right there yeah that is cool yeah it's cool i wish they would have done it there it's all good though so a little more storage up here yes and yes nice faucet there and nice single ball sink here very nice speaking of counter space you do get the flip up there oh in case you need any more that's right and a little more storage underneath yes sir yes sir all right and then that you just did the little clippies right there right there on both sides yep yep cool it's now time for the tall test all right let's check out that bathroom will if you guys don't know will is six foot three i think we might have the same issues no actually wow so it's a little taller or that's a little shorter yeah no it passes the tall it almost fails it but it does pass it not only is it tall it's wide too wow and again to notice that on a bunkhouse unit a lot of times they'll do the shower tubs yep we do have place for your towels right there then over here we have a nice medicine cabinet right there yep a nice little sink nice how they continue to countertop that and look i mean you can't fit much there but something's better than nothing right and then here we have even more right there and then which yep it's now time for the toilet test here we go now porcelain there's a reason why this is my favorite travel trailer this is a prime poop position also i want you to notice something oh if you move out the way well what will you make a better door than a window where are you trying to get me to go no heat ducts in the floor yeah that is nice very nice let's check out that bath oh the bedroom okay oversized door look how wide this is look how spacious this is i can easily get around i love this second door and then we have big storage all around the bed over here yes sir nice drawers and everything interesting headboard with the lights you got little cubby pockets for your cell phones and everything right there and then here we have even more storage above very nice and then is there storage below probably let's see a tv wood mount right there and then again this is 50 amps so it is prepped for a second air conditioning unit if you wanted one and yes there is storage oh and look you have this and it slides on both sides very cool yes sir well will that's it that's the review this is my favorite travel trailer now before everybody leaves it's now time we give you three things we love about my favorite travel trailer and three things we dislike about it will what do we do first three things we love okay uh i'm gonna go first okay i absolutely love this big u-shaped dinette this unit is it's a very close first and second between this and the keystone cougar 29bh okay okay the difference is the cougar um has the booth dinette this has the u-shaped dinette here which for me takes the lead yep that is one two um you do too i'll do two and three things okay number two um i just i love this floor plan okay i love the sofa directly across from the tv i love the corner bunks with the outside kitchen i love how the bunk beds flip up out of the way and i love how they compact it into a 28 footer really a 32 footer but i just i just love the way of of how they designed this floor plan to give you all those features yep and then number three do you need one um yeah go ahead okay well first i did forget to mention there is storage underneath these dinettes very nice yep and then number three i'm gonna say the interior the the i it's gonna be the grand design of this travel trailer i love the color that is very nice it's so modern it's so unique it's so different as you guys know so many people are going to like that farmhouse look which looks great but everybody does the same thing yep i love how grand design just their design looks different beautiful awesome and nice yep great so that's three things we love about it now it's time for three things we dislike about this travel trailer well you going first sure all right you like this dinette which i do too but i do wish that they came out just a little bit further and made that seat a little bit bigger correct correct like i think they could have done it just a little more yup that out a little bit more and you only need a couple more inches there honestly yep and and honestly you know if you would have taken out that counter that would have been a couple more inches yeah or if you would have made that a little bit smaller i mean there's plenty of countertop spare counter top space there i 100 concur so that's one do you have a number two i do outside though why are you hating on my travel training you told me okay good good um yeah choose outside um so i just think you know grand design is kind of a higher end unit i think they should have used the electric stabilizing jacks dang it that was mine as well i 100 concur the electric stabilizing jacks would have made it just a little bit higher end and a little bit fancier yeah so that's two and then i do have a number three okay so my number three is i wish that um there was a door to the bathroom on the other side like an open range 2802 yeah the 20 now so the cougar 29bh it's longer so it has the bathroom on this side and the bunks on the other side i don't mind that it's three feet shorter but i wish they would have done like what the open range did with a second bathroom door on the other side yeah yes it's silly to do that but it's all about that practicality but at the same time this is still my favorite travel trailer because if you do track mud you're
