I'm pretty sure this is my greatest invention yet it's a modular stackable vertical axis wind turbine I was inspired by my anemometer the other day which is allowed to spin because one side the ball shape has a really smooth coefficient of drag where the other side is really sharp it's basically just a wall I thought to myself well maybe you can make an anemometer into a vertical axis wind turbine if you just take that Central profile of the cup and just stretch it then while I was looking at that prototype I had two ideas one is that it should have a Twist in it so that it can collect wind from all different angles the other idea is that it should have some sort of end plate to it so that the wind can scoop over the top and bottom that's when it hit me build a vout design a whole bunch of pieces that can all fit together like Legos and then let people use those to design print whatever colors whatever shape vertical axis wind turbine they want later this week on my YouTube channel I'm going to be releasing the parts the schematics how to make your own part to fit onto this wind turbine and how to attach a motor to make it generate power so follow me if you want to see that or make your own
