My First AMD GPU | Sapphire Nitro+ 7800 XT OC | Full Review | FSR3, Fluid Motion Frames, AMD Drivers

hey what's going on guys this is your boy c will back to you with another video and man I am excited I am super excited because we have the one the only RX 7800 XT yes sir we got a new graphics card baby and yeah now I am not replacing my 490 let me just get that straight first that 490 is the best graphics card you could buy on the market right now but I am very intrigued um about this is my first AMD graphics card believe it or not um so I I haven't had a you know AMD graphics card before my first graphics card was a um GTX 1070 uh so yeah um this is my first AMD graphics card so I'm excited um this is no not not this particular model per se but the 7800 XT has been very very popular um you know uh amongst all of the uh PC Gamers out there the PC enthusiast is so yeah the first 1700 XT that I picked up last week was a gigabyte version U which was actually a really good version that retail was like $4.99 you know I just replaced my motherboard I got the assus genan um x670 Crosshair uh M ATX motherboard that's amazing make sure that you check out that video but I just replaced that and just had a lot of stuff going on so I never had a chance to be able to open up the gigabyte 7800 XT then I so happened to look on Micro Center and this was in stock now this is one of the quietest power efficient you know to balance out the two um along with having a high boost clock cards that you could be able to get this one this is the sapphire Nitro plus um 7800 XT um we got 16 GB of gddr6 uh RAM um it has 64 megab of infinity cache and then it has 60 CU compute units uh with rt and AI accelerator cores um we have 3840 so so 3,840 stream processors um the actual game clock on here gets up to 2254 and the Boost clock gets up to 2565 and all of that with I think the actual TDP as for as power it's about 290 298 Watts I believe um somewhere so basically around about 300 watts it's a little bit less than 300 watts so we could definitely test all of that out today um along with some of your popular games U so we definitely going to look at mostly modern titles a couple older titles but definitely titles that you know this was made to be a 1440p car and that's exactly what we're going to test out this car could do R tracing um AMD hyper RX which is a new suite that they have with the software um and of course we have the AMD Fidelity FX super resolution 3 so FSR 3 uh we got fluid motion frames and stuff U that's pretty much is going to be compatible with all of the AMD cards I forgot you know that goes down the stack and it stops at somewhere I did on Nvidia as side um you know you can actually use FSR 3 and stuff like that but 1700 XT um I'm excited uh this is a so let's go ahead and open up the box how about we do that uh we got the we got the KN on Deck so now y'all know how I do about my boxes put that there and actually I'm going leave that one so let me see what we got what's in the box don't I don't like to mess up my boxes so this will be my third graphics card currently that I have right now so in my stream man capture recording PC I have the 3080 TI Rock stricks and then in my main system I got the 4090 um and we adding this one to the stack he so we got the brown box alert okay we got the styr phone we got the booklet okay so what's interesting about this is that um it looks like it comes with the addressable RGB header um on the card itself um and uh I do know this is a dual bios card so it has a switch between um I think a silent bios and a OC switch and oh it also comes with a support break so cool so I think this is the accessory box which is the support bracket so this is the argb uh cable controlling you know what more cards should come with this oh here goes the bracket so this is pretty cool so not going to need this because I'm going to put it on my vertical Mount but this is actually good to have in a box now anytime a car comes with a support bracket you already know this thing is you know it's huge and it's heavy that's what she said man this thing is Big so here's the car now I can tell you pretty heav I don't know if this is heavier than the 4090 but this is definitely pretty heavy so what I did not know this this is a three slot three bracket card crazy so we have two HDMI 2.1 ports and then we have uh two display port 2.1 ports and um I'm going to talk about that a little bit later but man this card is beautiful three fans and then you have the RGB bar that goes all the way across the length of the card and U and speaking of the length of the card I think this card is if I'm not mistaken the length of the C is 320 mm so it's 320 mm long um and I'll put up on the screen on what they translate to in terms of inches um but it's pretty long matter of fact let's see how long let's see how this Stacks up against the 490 and it's definitely longer than the 490 so we have two a pen connectors here that's the a uh a RGB um header connector that's right there F St look at that um so we got the cutout area here and now this is a metal back plate uh we have the cutout here uh for air to escape through and yeah let's go ahead and get this into the system and take a look at some of amd's software okay so before we um install the card we need to do two things um one um we need to uninstall the um NVIDIA drivers we're going to use that using ddu um so I going to walk you through that um and then um we also need to download the latest um AMD Graphics drivers so adrenaline 23.93 um it's the latest that's on the website so let's go ahead and download that we'll go ahead and have that so when we install the car we go ahead and install the software so let's download ddu um do this and you need to do this because this is on Guru 3D's website um but you need to do this so you don't have any issues when it comes to especially when you switch a manufacturer um so we're going from Nvidia to AMD you definitely need to make sure that you have the correct drivers install but you need to uninstall the previous drivers to do that correctly all right so let's uh stract all let's go ahead and hit this install okay here we go all right so 's see remove specific options physics keep theol contr panel uh no we need to get rid of that as well I'm so I would just check everything up under Nvidia um because that's those are the things that we're going to get rid of you don't have to be in safe mode all right so select device type GPU Nvidia clean and restart clean and do not restart clean and shut down so we're going to to do a cleaner shutdown because I don't want um to restart the system after install the drive because sometimes windows will try to install Nvidia control panel through the Microsoft store and I don't want any of that to happen okay first thing first we got to do is do some plastic peeling uh see here it on it on satisfying and then like this whole piece right here has plastic on it so let's find a good place to start the peel I think we found it okay nice okay we got a little tabs right here the fans look at the fans and you can see how they have um shape to which is pretty cool all right so we have the vertical melt okay that was like crazy hard to get in for some particular reason but uh yeah got it in all right so we got the cart screwed in and let's plug in now I had to uh grab these out the box because on the 490 at the 12vt power connector um but I had to go grab the eight p in and to make sure and I had to install these I also went ahead and just installed the six pin um P connector um for uh if you if you saw my motherboy video I also installed that too so okay boom that's super clean boy look that c boy let me tell you something see that light bar is the red that thing that is nasty boy my gosh man let tell you something Sapphire Nitro plus 7800 XT man this thing is beautiful okay guys so here is the AMD andrin software um we got the drivers and the software install um so just to kind of give you a little walk around um this will show the last game that you played um than the most recent games and it actually even gives you the average FPS of why was playing the game I think that's actually pretty cool um then you have the driver and software information right here so it shows you the current version um and then actually there's a update um so yeah we need to do that so since you know I actually installed this I've been playing around with it um it's been a few days now um and so now there's the update um you have the graphics profile which here you can click on manage profile and you have um it's reading it says GPU to but that's just the uh the igpu that's built into the processor um but GPU one is a 700 XT and then it gives you different um options um like you have Ron super resolution antiag anti- plus u Ron boost chill so on and so forth so it has a lot of different features and then if you go to gaming so uh what I found out is like if when you click on this um it'll actually take you to uh the endgame settings of the current game that you were on um so that's pretty cool click on Graphics um you have different presets you know like the hyp RX is the new thing it's just a oneclick tab so if you click on this it's going to enable all of these features I actually leave this on default or technically on custom um but custom is if you just make any changes here and what I left on was the antiag and anti-ag plus um everything else is pretty much on default um and then you have performance and this will actually give you the current performance of your car you know especially while you're playing and um this actually acts as a overlay so it's it'll give you the current FPS the 99% FPS which is the 1% low your GPU utilization total um um board power GPU temp the GPU memory and clock speed utilization the CPU clock um usage utilization system memory so it gives you all that stuff and then over here you could be able to check whether or not you want to start logging this information being able to view and then enabling the actual Metro log but the overlay so Nvidia has his own built-in overlay same as Nvidia um and you could actually be able to go ahead and change anything you can show the overlay so when I click that shows the information so the sum of the same information that we was looking at here will pop up you can actually change the location of this you can do top left top right bottom left bottom right or you could customize it you going to go back to top right um then you could change the sides of it so the max is 200 all the way down to 50 which you can't see I think I had this on 150 um and then you can actually go in here you could change the amount of column so I have it on five if I wanted to I could have it stretch across the screen to 11 or one just to on this side which is actually pretty useful depending on the game that you're in what I found out was having across the top of the screen like this was the most useful depending on what I'm doing there's also option to click settings here which will um give you a different set of information U which shows up differently um so again it gives you the Adan software information uh whether or not you want to automatically download the drivers um so this thing is Decked Out U let me tell you it's super decked out so I installed the sapphire trick software so I just wanted to show you what that looks like so here in uh I can pull back up the website so when you go to U scifi.com um you could be able to get here and I'll put this in the link in the description below um but this allows you to be able to download the software here for your graphics card and you can be able to make changes to it so not only will it give you statistical information here G nav 32 the amount of shaders the RAS units the texure units the BIOS version device ID to tell you whether or not resizable bar is enabled it'll give you the current Drive uh the driver that you have installed uh your memory and memory bus die siid and all that good stuff the biggest thing that I like about this is that it you know it has a bio switch built into the software I left the actual switch on the default so it's three different switches on a card itself you have a default switch a primary switch and a secondary switch the primary switch is the um the default well it's not default so the primary switch is the overclocking um bios secondary bios is for the silent bios and um the default switch is kind of like a auto but if you wanted to you can actually go in here U while it's on auto it allows you to be able to switch between the different type of bioses uh through the Sci-Fi uh tricks software which I love because you know you don't have to open up the case and you know switch you know any changes depend on what you want to be doing for that day so I love it but what I also come to find out is that you really don't need it for this particular car you can leave it on OC because this card is super quiet when I say super quiet we going we're going to take a look at some of the uh performance and stuff like that when we get ready to take a look at a couple of games um and you'll see the actual fan speed and you'll notice that man it really doesn't get up that high this is pretty dope you can actually go in here um look at the hardware monitor tricks boost so if you wanted to you could go in here and uh you know do some overclocking and stuff like that you could check the fan Health U the RGB bar that runs across the front of the card and you can go ahead and you can make changes to that um so it's pretty cool it's pretty dope so now that we got that out the way let's take a look at some games cuz I know that's what you want to see we're going to be all the games that we're going to look at today are 1440p um because I am playing on my 1440p monitor that gets up to 165 htz um and so yeah let's check it out first game up we have Far Cry 6 all right so the first thing we're going to take a look at here um is actually the B the built-in Benchmark um but before we do let's take a look at the options um so we go to video um here you can see 7800 XT refresh rate 165 HZ we on full screen playing at 2560 by 1440 um we go over here the quality everything is on ultra um we have it we have the HD textures on um and then we go down here to motion U motion blur is on we left all the stuff on um I did turn on dxr Reflections um indicts our shadows and then Fidelity effects uh the image sharpen and stuff is off um colors we don't really change anything with that then advance settings just so you see vsync is off um let's see uh no adapter resolution none of that other stuff and so yeah let's take a look at the Benchmark okay so I have MSI after burn overlay over on here on the left hand side then on the right hand side it shows the um the actual built-in um overlay for AMD and it's pretty cool gives you the FPS you know 1% lows GPU utilization the board power all that different type of stuff um also one thing I want to show you that if you hit alt R it shows you the actual overlay uh for for the actual AMD dring software as well uh which it gives you more information and things that you be be able to [Music] change so far 1% lows been about 91 92 we're averaging out 117 FPS so we definitely get an high frame rate experience uh at 1440p at Ultra quality and as you can see FPS so we average 117 I think the actual 1% lows is around about 92 um even though it says the minimum FPS on here is 103 I actually go buy my overlay software um build Dam Benchmark stuff is not that accurate sometimes um but the FPS is definitely average um so um I've been fairly s uh surprised about the actual performance that we getting out of the 7800 XT you know Far Cry 6 is not a easy game to run uh so being able to get the high refresh rate experience you know at Ultra set is at 1440p um this car is it's doing numbers man it's doing numbers so um I feel definitely feel good about it and you know I'm pretty sure that you could probably get a 4K 60 um experience if you added in FSR upscaling along with this but this is just native you know I like being able to see the numbers at Native um even with the vram usage um you know use around about 8.25 and this car comes with 16 gigs um so it's definitely built for the future you know you can definitely have some years with this car without having the you know to think about oh am I going to run out of VRA RAM and stuff like that to have issues um you know when it comes to newer games that comes out so the next game that we have up here is uh the one of the most popular games of the year Starfield yes sir so let's let's take a look at some of the settings that we have here um go to display so we're playing at 1440p um borderless full screen is on U Dynamic resolution is off Ral resolution scill is at 100% um I had this on custom because I changed a couple of things but it's on the ultra preset um so everything is on Ultra or you know very high um motion blurs off let's see what else I turn off vsync is off upscaling is off yep enable vrs is off y because I want to get native pretty much everything across the board um so yep I think we good here we're going to take a look at the city of Aila uh which is pretty dope and it's also one of the hardest hit places um to run from a graphical standpoint so let's take a look let's see um you know there's no built-in benchmarks when it comes to Starfield um but we are going to do my own uh Benchmark run uh per se so what we're going to do here uh let me go ahead and reset the Ws and lows so this is my slow run this is my Benchmark run when it comes to um all of the graphics cars stuff that I have um and this is this is my testing going forward when it comes to Starfield um and until we you know receive some other changes because definitely want to test this game um in a in a hard to run area so right now uh we a well we're averaging around about 66 on the FPS that's the average we 1% lows we dropped to around about 48 and then the actual current FPS is between 55 and 56 so this is definitely a hard area to run but when we get into like you know like the the other planets and stuff like that um you know the actual FPS is definitely higher um when you're on the inside of uh certain places the FPS also is a lot higher um but this would kind of give you a synopsis of hey if I have the 7800 XT what you know with Native graphical settings native settings what than I expect and you could pretty much expect the average of about 60 FPS when it comes to 1440p um now if you want to use you know FSR upscaling obviously you know the number goes up um but we're only testing native uh for now um a little bit towards the end of the video I'm definitely going to look into some upscaling uh with a couple of games that supports FSR 3 uh which is a Mortals of avium and then also we're going to look at for spoken uh which also supports FSR 3 and we'll also look at fluid motion AMD fluid motion frames which basically gives you the ability to any type of direct 11 on Direct X11 on Direct X12 games um you could be able to implement frame generation basically which is what fluid motion frames is it's frame generation at the driver level um but we have to install that preview driver that I talked about a little bit earlier um so I haven't done that yet because I didn't want to mess up um possibly mess up anything you know before I ran my actual Benchmark numbers so so far this is my run when it comes to Starfield uh we're averaging 62 1% lows drop down to 48 and if you look at the GPU temp it's only at 65 amazing and then I think fan speed we only got up to 1,200 RPM on the fan speed so so yeah so this is 7800 XT inside Starfield um I think it did great um you know this this is a uh a game where you don't need High frame rates you know to have a good playing experience and of course if you want to get a higher frame rate you can turn on um FSR upscaling um you know you got a lot to play around with when it comes to that okay let's take a look at the next game okay the next game that we have up right now cyberpunk 2077 and I you know I downloaded the Phantom Liberty um DLC but I haven't gotten that far in the game to be able to get to the DLC content just yet um I'm working on it I'm trying to get to by this weekend so definitely working on it um but um I definitely want to just show you some gam play um on what it looks like playing 1440p um at ultra settings um so let's take a look at some of the settings um that we have here uh and this is the 2.01 patch just a little bit update over the 2.0 um but it has a lot of the new stuff you know that's that's in the game so we're going to take a look um see what a couple of things look like um and so up under the gameplay tab um I have hard drive mode off um and the reason being is because you know I want there to be as much going on in the game as possible and when you have hard drive mode on or on auto sometimes it takes certain graphical things out of the game when it comes to like the crowd density and stuff like that so I had that off um but the AMD uh simultaneous multi- uh smt I have that on and you want that on if you have AMD processor and right now you know we on know all AMD build with the 7800 XT and the 7800 x3d um and so that is on on um graphics and on the graphics side I'm just going to always go go back in and reset this anyway um because sometimes this game is like real funny when it comes to like the settings and stuff that you that you set whatever um anyways we're going to go to ultra um and see and then down here it's like once you switches over the alra it automatically sets the FSR to qu so it turns on FSR U but we want to make sure that's on off no upscaling right and so uh everything else um I definitely want to turn off field G I had something weird that happened last time I had this on and it actually showed the field gr and I was like what is going on U so turned that off U let's see everything else should be on on our high du to the ultra preset and no R tracing we're going to hit apply and let's get into the game okay so take a look so no R tracing on or anything this is just 1440p ultra settings and I think cyber the world cyber pun still looks great this is my car I'm about to get into it this is the last place where I left off at and uh let me reset the 1% lows okay uh so we have two different overlays that you could be be able to look at top left hand Corners MSI After Burner and then on the right top hand corner you have uh the AMD adrenaline software overlay and if we get inside the car drive around a little bit maybe get into some Havoc but as you can see o playing with a remote I'm already messing up my car all right so in the game like cyberpunk again we're averaging 93 you know the 7800 XT is a beast of a car um it's a perfect car for 1440p gaming you can get high refresh rate even on quality Ultra you know settings I will tell you um rate tracing on the 700 HT is not that great this is not a you know AMD is behind when it comes you know to a r Trac standpoint and you could do it you know we may take a look at it in this particular game cuz you know some people they they like rate tracing and if you don't have an Nvidia card you could still do it I think this may be the only game where I actually test out R tracing um and that's because we're already at a a high frame rate so I want you to see what you can do but just like uh most mid-range cards if you enable R tracing on here you may have to use FSR quality upscaling and we'll take a look at that uh but so far you know before I call the police on myself uh I just want to do a little bit more driving around and I may actually stop right over here look at that Sun so the game still looks great even without rate tracing um it looks phenomenal we're getting a great frame rate right now uh 64° look RPM is only at 12200 RPM on the car I can hear my case fans over the GPU this is amazing okay next game that we're looking at now is Forza Motorsport uh this was just released and uh I played this just a little bit and it's amazing um let's take a look look at the settings real quick uh accessibility gam playay Hood basic video basic video uh I didn't even know this had a benchmark that is crazy so I actually may I may random Benchmark okay Dynamic render quality no I maybe this is not what I'm thinking it is so Ultra default custom lay that on custom shut the frame rate yes uh no FSR so this game supports FSR 2 so I'm not going to change anything else uh Advanced video Dynamic okay I need to hit what are they talking about oh need to hit apply okay okay um Dynamic what okay Dynamic render quality performance Target on see this is what I'm talking about I don't know why when you come in here like it wants to preset stuff for you and uh performance Target unlocked resolution scale I don't want no Auto cuz then it changes stuff in the in the uh it's like it changes it it's not giving you like native uh performance so everything is on auto so you got to go ahead and change it so resolution scale is at 100% anop at filtering I want this at 16 uh rate Trace quality let's look at this without rate tracing first um so off uh RTA AO quality Ultra Shadow quality Ultra Ultra ult ra Ultra Ultra Ultra Ultra Pro like why you setting everything up because I want to see what the game could do U motion blur quality we can leave that off um lens FLIR Ultra I want I want to show you what the car could do you know you being able to play the game the way that the developers meant for you to play it is important um incept for R tracing R tracing uh oh R changes R Trac actually so let me turn that off oh it doesn't give you option how about that okay so we're going to leave that on Altra U so I tell you what since we have to turn that on let's just turn on full R tracing let's see what it does and then we'll take a look at it without it um cuz we'll just run the Benchmark uh let's see so apply so everything is on Altra everything let's see let's let's take a look at the Benchmark I haven't ran this so I don't know how long it is so hopefully it's not that long okay just reset the 1% lows okay uh well we're starting off in the 50s but this is on everything ultra um so this is actually good to see first um and actually I don't even I don't even have to let the whole bench Mar run I may be able to come out of it but this is with everything Ultra r r tracing so you can be able to to see oh it didn't last that long anyway all right so 49 FPS is what you receive on force and Motorsport uh yeah you definitely on a on a racing game you definitely want to make sure that you have a 60 FPS experience and this is what I was talking about like if you don't want to deal with rate tracing it's not a thing you know for you you don't have to use it right um in vram we use 11 GB so man anybody who has a 12 GB card you definitely you you're almost hitting the ceiling you know what I'm saying um so the 16 gigs is definitely going to give you it's going to help you out especially when you have alra set alra everything with the r tracing and stuff like that um I'm thinking maybe you could probably overclock the car you know and you know probably try to get an extra 7 to 10% performance um but you know know with a mid-range card like this I wouldn't be you know unless you use upscaling you use upscaling then you know and this is again this is at 1440p if you use upscaling then you can get over the 60 FPS Mark you know um so let's go back to the settings video settings and let's change so let's change let's turn so it says four reflection some RTL plus RTL so let's CH change this to off and then you also have just car Reflections um let's just turn R Trac and quality on off to see what type of performance you know we gain back right so we're going to restart a benchmark okay that is much better that is much much better so it's raining you know what I'm saying and you know we're averaging 91 Current frame rate you know what I'm saying between 90 and 90 you know3 um this is how you should play the game so if you if you if you had a 7800 XT now um games like this you probably don't want to use upscaling okay so car Reflections balance on FSR 2 you know we we're in the 80s that may work so you know again if you're not a person uh that's not big on red trace and stuff like that um this card is perfect at Native set know without all right let's move on to the next game okay so next game that we have up right now is Immortals avum um and yeah this is uh some people like this game there's a lot that was going on about the I think it was just released at the wrong time um yeah it's uh it is what it is uh let's take a look at the settings here uh so we go to display 1440p full screen bsync off uh so this supports AMD FSR 3 and also frame generation so we'll take a look at both of those um let's just take a look at the the uh native first and if we go you have I say change yeah say let's go back make sure that Noe it didn't say okay uh X to apply changes all right Graphics everything is on Ultra Ultra Ultra Ultra Ultra all right I'm I'm in a save spot right now that just allows me to be able to just play around and do stuff without there being an issue all right so let me hit the 1% lows here so right now uh we're getting basically 60 we're averaging 67 68 um 1% lows 54 and yeah you know this is the game that has all the particles and all that different type of stuff like switch pretty cool especially when you especially that one I like that one it's like Gatling gun um average around about 74 and I think it's actually pretty great um for this frame rate native settings um obviously um when you get into the actual combat um there's a lot going on so the higher the frame rate the better um so if we were getting around about closer to the 100 um it gets much better when I'm playing this game um but so far you know but we're using about 8 gigs of VR close close to 8 gigs and again this car 64 65° you know 1, 14400 on RPM I still can't hear the card I hear my case fans and aiio fans over the actual card itself and um I'm actually going to test that out and show you exactly what I'm talking about uh with that as well uh but yeah so far this is what we're receiving with Native 1440p um let's take a look at what happens when you turn on FSR so if we go here and we switch FSR there's a FSR native I'm not going to look at that because if you turn on FSR let's just go to Quality okay U so that's quality uh frame generation off so let's see what the difference in frame rate is so immediately with FSR 3 um we're getting to 115 so we in 100 so this is like I was telling you this is really the frame rate that you really want want to play this game at um is 100 100 plus especially if you you know if you had a monitor again my monitor goes up to 165 htz so we're not maxing out the monitor but if you want to play this game when you're in the middle you know fights and stuff like that uh this is definitely the way to do it yeah this is definitely the way that you want to play uh if you can get up to 100 this is great so yeah I mean you really can't just look at when I switch certain things on my Gauntlet uh what is it nope n that yeah just take a look at how that kind of breaks up and you can see um some of the issues that you run into with the image quality quity so you know it is what it is but for the most part you know it works you can do it so this is FSR 3 7800 XP and yeah you can roll with it um I wouldn't do anything other than quality cuz again this is 1080p upscale to 1440p so uh I wouldn't go I wouldn't change quality is what I would stick all right so let's take a look at frame generation so frame gen now again this is inserted frames to every other frame um and it pretty much doubles your frame rate and you know for the most part sometimes it depends on the game um let's take a look and see what the we receive here so we didn't receive a doubling of the frame rate and it only went up maybe about 5 FPS this is weird uh let me make sure I did this right it's probably just a bad example of frame generation uh yeah so I would not use frame generation because all it does is you know increase latency uh this is like super weird maybe do I need to enable maybe I need to enable uh vyn let me see if that makes a difference so that's weird hey look at the gauntlet though look at the hand why you talking about that artifact crazy so I don't know if this has something to do with cuz I'm screen capturing and it may not pop up correctly is what I'm thinking U that is so weird yeah so I'm going to turn off vsync turn that back off uh turn frame gen off so let me just stand still right I'm reset the 1 loow yall see that right 110 110 99 right um let's go back in here turn frame gen on reset so yeah I mean it's working but it's like not working u i mean you go from 110 so we get an increase of maybe 13 14 FPS definitely not worth it it's not worth it so don't use frame gen in this game um that's crazy I don't know what's going on with that anyways this is Immortals avum uh yeah um I would pretty much just play this with FSR 3 you know you really you still see the artifact in that's in a in like you look at his hand uh which if we go in here we just turn it off right turn it off you still see dark maybe it's just the game that is so crazy me using my mouse doesn't make it better when you switch in The Gauntlet n it's just a terrible game okay all right let's move on let's move on to for spoken okay so we inside for spoken let's take a look at uh settings here and let's go over to display and I think the last thing that we were in this is also this Max frame rate crap is is doesn't make sense to me and I'm just going to be honest and and because I think there's a bug in this game when it comes to that I don't know I'm not even going to get into it um but I will say this you know to change the presets you have to leave this on custom in order to change the other presets in here which is crazy so we'll take a look at this game without the I don't want to run uh everything is on high in this game so everything is on High um we're going to leave off FSR 3 and frame generation for now and then we'll go back into it like once you cross over that bridge is like a hazy type deal so this is the native so this is actually it's still a tough game to run um even at Native settings oh Dam y ganging up on the brother oversiz bad get out of here so as you can see this is still a tough game around we're not even getting 6 the FPS on off so once I get rid of them okay boom all right so yeah all right so before he comes over here bothering me um let's take a look at FSR 3 quality okay so FSR 3 quality I'm going to reset my 1% lows can we get 60 FPS yes so bother me bother me do nothing to you all right so we're in the 70s and it's actually a good way to run this game um you know that works it's pretty cool okay so let's take a look at frame generation right frame gen that's what the talk is all about so frame gen plus FSR 3 Let's Take a Look okay so you see how that this is working in this game we pretty much doubling the frame rate you know we getting 142 FPS um the frame time is like all over the place um but that's it like it's like that now I can tell you the game does become it feels smoother right uh you're definitely getting a smooth experience uh let me see if we flip the mouse around oh Lord okay see see what's happening here got a little action anybody else wants to smoke trying to do a review here all right so the you know from a image quality standpoint you know like if you moving the grass you may be able to see some artifacts um but for the most part you know it's smooth gameplay experience so what I use you know even around the hair and stuff when she's running um you know it's not perfect but would I probably if I had this card would I use frame gen I probably would be honest with you uh the game play is smooth I will say that uh might be worth it than this game especially if you playing with like a controller where you're not doing like Fast pans like you're using a mouse like this you know if you doing this you definitely going to see the artifacts um but if you're using a controller probably not going to see it as much right but yeah I mean I would you know I would use this is the ultra settings FSR 3 frame generation yeah I mean it works definitely works okay so let's install um let's go ahead and install the actual preview driver you know the experimental driver um you know that allows fluid motion frames all right and it show 2330 0102 um and what we could do to confirm that we can actually go to here 2330 0102 all right so we have the the technical preview driver you see how they labeled that right technical preview driver yeah whatever all right now I haven't used this so we're we're both you know you're watching this we're going through this together that's how I like to do things okay so there's supposed to be a way to verify um and what we're going to use um is actually game we're going to use a cyberpunk okay that up and then we have the we have the overlay I think I got it I think I got it why is that so big and then this check mark it said fluid motion frame okay so I think I figured it out I think I figured it out okay this works but I just want to go back into the settings so you can see uh that we are 1440p the graphics settings you know everything is on off we playing at uh Ultra just ultra settings at 1440p no upscaling anything and we go hit continue on the game one sweet okay so now we're in the game right we were just playing this earlier so at the top leftand corner of the screen you're going to see 90 FPS so the first one is the current LPS the middle one is the average and the last one is the 1% low right but MSI does not doesn't give you the correct information for fluid motion frames on the right hand side is the adrenaline software for AMD um that's the overlay and if you look at the overlay it says 175 178 FPS that's the real well not necessarily real but that's the fluid motion frames it's the frame generation because frame gen for AMD is not implemented into cyberpunk um yeah it's only in two games and that's the two games that we just looked at in mors of avum and for spoken are the only two games right now that officially have frame generation but fluid motion frames is frame generation at the driver level for any other direct X11 and direct X12 games so so the question is whether or not so with the fluid motion frames I tell you um you could be able to max out your your monitor per se you know you have a high refresh rate monitor and I could definitely tell the uh the latency you see on the overlay on the right hand cor of the screen it tells you that's the addition like the frame gen lag that's the additional latency of the day okay so 17 milliseconds is in addition to you know the normal latency of the game okay so yeah but I can tell you um it feels pretty smooth now I'm getting 154 FPS 160 right playing how we playing at 1440p now the goal is like I was stating to you earlier like if you want to see what this looks like I'm actually going to Max this out I am going to turn on uh path Trac just to see what we get and I know car so we don't have any R tracing on right now so just keep an eye on what the car looks like going to turn on P okay so looks like and runs like crap um so you we definitely can't run path tracing that's for sure but we STI getting like 15 14 FPS uh and as you can see it's it's it's like 8 FPS in the real world right so let's go back uh so but R tracing is on Ultra we're not using path tracing so this just R tracing Ultra right so let's take a look 25 FPS that's what we normally rece receive but because we have frame generation on with the fluid motion frames we're getting 50 so we're getting double the FPS um and for some people hey this this might be playable you know this is you basically getting a console experience you know maybe a little bit better than a console experience but look at the rate Trac right so you know you can still you can still you can still get something out you know out of the situation right now this is without any upscaling this is just fluid motion frame right so what if I wanted to tell you what stop this right here right so what if I wanted to bump this up a little bit and you can actually go in here to FSR 2 put this on quality you know the real the real re frame rate is 42 43 but if you look at the fluid motion frames the frame gen now we at 85 so let's see how how it drivve so we are R tracing Ultra Ultra quality settings FSR 2 quality be honest with you if this was my daily driver as a reference card I I may play this game like this because it makes a difference you know in how the game looks you know what I mean like it makes a it makes a big difference so yeah he about we got disturbance in again how was the issue okay allp is still atge in the are did I [Music] maybe here we go for back up but just so you can be able to see you know this turns this turns being able to run R Trac alra quality 1440p you know this makes a difference and the way that you know the AMD has been able to do this from a driver level is crazy uh I definitely want to test motion frame for the game um but this is pretty dope um and we're getting I mean we in the 90s you know you seeing it over there at top so yeah okay let me know what you think down in the comments below if you want to pick up this card um definitely I make sure that I put links um down in the description below Amazon links that helps out the channel um but you could be able to get a good you know deal on this carard like I said I got mine from Micro Center yeah again you know I got this card from Micro Center U for 560 and I think you could pretty much uh find it for the same price definitely hit the links down in the description below and you could be able to check that out we're going to go on the inside of the case and we're going to run the card using occt uh about to pull it up now actually and so you can be able to hear how silent the actual fans are and you let me know whether or not this is a car that you want to get for yourself because this a go for me you know if I was in the market for a mid-range car I would I wouldn't even hesitate okay so as you can see here I have occt open and what we are going to do we are just going to max out the card so it said 100% right so I'm going to cut now here's what I'm going to do you can you see the fans running right now on inside that you see how close I am right see that right I'm inside the case now inside the case can you hit a card cuz I can't the card is being used 100% utilization can't even hear it GPU fan is at 1351 RPM so almost, 1400 RPM can't hear a thing now you tell me if this card is worth it that that right there NS itself alone is enough for me it say 63° you got you know got the case open 63° can't hear a sound it's crazy now you can't see this but I'm going to I downloaded the app on my phone um and what I'll do is I actually take a screen shot I am going to be quiet but this is a deciel app and I'm going to see if I could take a screenshot okay and I should be able to place this up on the screen um but I was able to take a picture of my phone using the deal app that I have and yeah we're we're basically you know it says 39.4 uh but that is crazy quiet for you know fans running at you know essentially you know between 13 and 1400 RPM you barely I mean you can't even you can't even hear it so uh yeah again uh that's my review of the 7800 XT uh the sapphire Nitro plus um this is a a great graphics card you able the game do stuff the the AMD fluid motion you know yeah it's kind of gimmicky you know but it works you know it works and you know you could be able to use that in multiple games like I said right now it's available for 7,000 series 6,000 series and yeah just uh let me know what you think down in the comments below and like I said if you want to pick this card up definitely make sure that you hit the Amazon links and um and I got another surprises coming uh real soon within the next day or so so definitely look out for that RX 7900 XTX against the 490 yep so it's coming and I see y'all in the next video peace
