My Best Italian Flea Market Trip EVER!

[Music] okay everybody I'm here I'm a sweaty mess but trust me it's nice to be warm and not wearing finger this gloves so and my next door neighbor has done a fantastic job all the scaffolding down the exterior of the building is looking beautiful so that is very exciting and now oh dear now it's time for kitchen installation but I got to do something about the sitting room it is an absolute [Music] tip all right no mail today hat basket and some very comfortable dungies I'm heading out of Fano to one of my favorite flea markets as many of you know who have watched my previous videos when I've been renovating My Little Italian House the majority of what's inside are objects and furnishings and pieces of furniture that have been found at these amazing flea market all across uh Italy and I'm obsessed with them literally obsessed with him I think if I could go back in time and do something else with my life it would probably be um a hoarder hoarding of of objects found at these flea markets so I'm going to take you on uh a really fun Journey today to one of my favorite places and hopefully find a couple more objects for my little Italian house here but we are renovating a couple Properties or have been renovating a couple properties at maton which is the historic house that my husband and I run in England that's open to the public and within the estate there are a couple properties that you can rent at Airbnb and yeah and also it's just so much fun and then lastly upstairs I found the perfect place for this uh cabinet that has kind of a metal mesh around it and that is where they would have um sort of housed uh cheese and even salami kind of before Refrigeration so I decided I'm going to call that my cabinet of curiosity and that again a cabinet of curiosity was very very popular you know a few hundred years ago especially in um in England when uh lots of people went out to travel maybe on their grand tour and they were able to find objects from different countries around the world and they would bring them back and kind of show them off so I'm going to create my own Cabinet of Curiosities and hopefully you guys are going to help me decide what I should put in so let's go [Music] and here we are Marie vintage Martina delato quite a tight turn but I'm in my feat Panda and should just make it [Music] I cannot wait to head to this vintage flea market to find well extraordinary things so hopefully I can find some things for my Cabinet of Curiosities in the Italian house but also possibly some things to bring back to either mattin our historic house that we live in in in England and also I'm in the middle of renovating another Farmhouse or I should say our first Farmhouse we done two cottages and now a farmhouse that is five bedroom and just to be able to bring I don't know some bits back to maybe the sitting room or a couple of the bedrooms but also yeah also it's just super fun so let's go okay it has everything and I'm not even on the inside but I'm really looking for kind a small bit so and then we out outdoor space right now but oh my gosh pretty incredible look at this where do we start want to find some Bargains not necessarily looking for furniture again I'm looking for like small pieces that are portable in which I can take back to England but those of you watching on camera if you see anything comment down below if you're like oh my gosh you just passed something amazing let me know that's quite pretty that light I mean look at this look at this enormous mirror is 40 what it's crazy what's this 80 for this it's an oriental table probably not needed but quite like it now I've been here before so the maps in the guest bedroom Malcolm found those for a Euro each and then we had them framed that's what I'm hoping to find something well in that price range I've done a quick tour outside I mean they have amazing lights as well so ceiling lights oh my goodness they have just they I mean look it I found a couple here I think one I think in the bathroom oh my gosh they're magnificent look at that one oh my gosh oh that would have been good for the kitchen I like my kitchen one though oh yeah these glasses are amazing okay okay kitchen I'm thinking kitchen um kitchen for my ital My Little Italian house but also kitchen for maybe one of well The Farmhouse that we're renovating at mton but I think I could probably I think that's too much to carry I want to find something really interesting let's go inside everybody oh look at this lovely stack of shelves seems to have see like something like that so good oh my gosh these are [Music] sweet not sure all right and we go okay let's look at they changed it a bit this the Shelf is new [Music] jewelry wow look at that threey old 5 year old oh my goodness me this is my heaven it's literally my heaven right now that's a nice frame 8 right there um there's more stemware here no no no I'm going to try not to bring back anything breakable having you know so probably not any China nice mirror oh I knew it was nice that's 70 that's speo wow that is a great mirror great [Music] mirror okay you just have to sit there and look and look and look and look nice books I'm only a quarter of the way through there's lots of knick-knacks here lot of knick-knacks oh look at that quite like that oh let's take that [Music] out 8 Old look at that oh my gosh so getting that 8 and it says bian oh my goodness okay it's great oh my gosh okay great great great found one 8 love it okay let's keep going keep going so exciting when I made 8 look at that hand painted it's fantastic they vintage clothes here lots of that definitely not interested in that right now M okay I'm going to show you something this is so [Music] nice Okay this is so nice everybody there's a glare sorry but it looks like it's a pencil drawing possibly an engraving I can't tell of lovely little village it's 70 you can always negotiate here I'm wearing the most enormous overalls but I found them in France um on a holiday that we had last year and I love them lots of glass wear [Music] stemware great pictures though all right I found another one everybody oh my gosh 40y old okay 40y old out quite like [Music] it maybe definitely keen on this okay this lamp is oh my gosh it's glass or and it's €25 [Music] what to me this is just a bit embellished with sort of double framing I would have liked it more if it was just like a single frame here I am these are I think these are enormous nice pair of table lamps there L pair of those don't need those but I would have liked those to be fair I'm going slow everybody so that you can see as [Music] well and H I knew that frame is really nice maybe maybe it has a little bit too much design on it but it's 40 to not the bar now let's head okay no cows oh my gosh you've got to be kidding me that is where um my children sail Nester just did his race around the island go check out his new channel Nester and his boat and you can see him racing around the island pretty much on a boat similar to that I wonder if I should get that actually might okay that I might actually get that all right I'm not getting it it's €250 h interesting no why is that 2250 I don't know it's not for me okay okay okay okay everybody oh my gosh I kind of really like this basket all right [Music] pause all right love this basket €30 it's a good proper basket that is a possibility I really like it all right I'm going to put my frame in there that I'm definitely getting for 8 and walk around with this and decide maybe when I hold it I'll actually say yes to [Music] it you just have to sit here and look and look and look okay I'm holding the basket now I still can't believe that cow's painting I'm going to take a picture and send it to neest I mean not like he has €250 to tell me to buy it but this is pretty here we go this is really pretty possibly possibly all right let's keep going we've only done maybe just over a quarter [Music] you just have to keep looking I know you guys are like loving this watching everything that's sweet look at look at look at look at look at everybody and it's Morano I'm going negotiate that price down oh my gosh love it love it love it okay that is going in the basket I can't believe I found that boss that's a nice mirror there but it's 120 oh I'm back at the cows thing let me just check that again is that really 250 like it can't be lots of Falls is those are W similar to kind of Wonder there castelli that town I just visited I should say Village painted by hand pretty pretty frames pretty frames this is interesting I know what it is like a snuff box or something just another piece okay now we're getting into the good stuff so everybody just have a wonderful look around with me I just found something maybe maybe not maybe interesting I weirdly like these but it's basically styles of Paris I think mod depy is in French which is fine I have a child this week's French so he would be fine with this hanging in his well hanging somewhere okay look at that wow okay maybe for Emma for a gift for her birthdays coming up yes put them in the bag good price good price her birthday is oh my gosh good thinking Julie it's bril brilliant for Emma brilliant for Emma all right we're heading into yet another space in this fantastic Mo that place if I need to to frame something look at this is everybody having a good luck hopefully you [Music] are they really do have good pictures here that's the thing oh my gosh they're lined up everywhere wow now this is properly framed what 40 you're kidding me and I love the FR color oh my gosh this could be it everybody 40 [Music] now I can't be it's the perfect size perfect colors it's kind of it's got It's very contemporary and I think that br need that the perfect color the perfect [Music] Colors oh my gosh I'm going to bring it up front just because a lot of the pictures that I have in my little Italian House are some know a older style okay I'm going to bring this up and then I'm going to come back and look at it properly let's go through the rest of the shop amazing mirrors okay and then I'm just going to think here I really like that another boss no don't think so okay I hope you guys have had a fantastic look isn't it just marvelous it's brilliant it's absolutely brilliant oh my gosh they have frogs here as well what okay no no [Music] [Music] for big lovely looks like Persian rugs but I'm looking for a small one I'm going have to come back here [Music] everybody oh yeah see this I'm going to add a little bit of color to the bathroom look at that nice tub chair oh oh yeah see you just go around three times coming with me absolutely 5e old 5e old coming with me okay I really I think to add a pop of color in the bathroom oh this is fantastic too is this carpet here it might be a little bit overbearing with the red I needed it to have a little bit more of the of yellow I think it's that's perfect size perfect size but it's a bit overbearing with the red it's too much and I don't want to just get it oh my gosh you guys look getting this kitchen I love it I've gone around here twice and I'm like yes this is great okay I'm still uncertain about these fres for Emma she'll like them for her bedroom and she'll always then remember I got them for her okay this is [Music] brilliant this is quite sweet and it's just a lovely small case I could put I don't know pins or batteries quite like this and you just you need to go around like three or four times and then more things come out of [Music] you they do have interesting really interesting bits as well this is a pink elephant for 25 years just in case you wanted something like [Music] that there it is I cannot wait to hang this I think it's perfect it's so perfect I love it love it love it love it love it and then when I get home I'll show you the rest of what I've been able to collect today [Music] I am so excited with my purchases I ended up buying a couple things you didn't see because it all got a bit too much holding the camera then trying to put things in the basket um Etc but there are a couple things that I ended up purchasing that you didn't see so as soon as I'm back in my little Italian house I'm going to lay them all out so you can see but six items for Canta auro that includes 60 that includes that lovely big picture that's going to go right above my bed um within the four poster bed um I should say our bed lcan bed and uh I'm so I love it love it love it the colors are perfect and again I was looking for something contemporary and I think that's important because a lot of what I have right now is sort of very you know dated and lovely and antique and vintage and of course this is as well but it has uh it's has a contemporary style But there again like I said a couple things that I haven't shown you so I'm going to have a spot of lunch by the Sea right now and then after that I'm going to lay them all out for you and you can see and let me know what you think but six items for €60 and that includes that big picture I mean that is crazy anyway I can't wait to show you guys I'm so excited [Music] okay everybody okay okay okay it was an amazing day and gosh I have so much fun at these flea markets let me just get this [Music] in oh my goodness okay this probably is my favorite find the picture which I'm going to be super careful about probably my favorite find and put that over here actually probably my favorite find it was so much fun I cannot wait to show you so you saw some of the things that I um definitely sort of collected throughout I didn't get that basket so that basket I decided I've got quite a a lot of baskets there and that was much more of a sort of hard Hardware basket I wouldn't be able to hang it on my coat stand there so let's start to unpack oh my gosh which one do I want to do first or I might have save that one for last all right first and foremost everybody this picture it needs a bit of a dust it's hand painted really pretty a little bit of wear and tear on the back but it um gosh I think it's really pretty I think this is going to stay here and I will probably lean it up against a wall um there's a Ledge in the kitchen in fact I'll show you that that it might I might put it there eventually it's got a bit of green and blue which is the kitchen I think I might put it up against the ledge there that's that then what we have is fantastic a little debie John and this will probably I think perch on top of one of the the ceria or the forager in the kitchen up on top just to dress it but I also have a shelf that's being placed in the kitchen as well uh if you look at the designs and maybe this will go on the Shelf so to be determined later I have another one so there's another similar one but this one has of course the Wicker uh the Wicker holding if you like what is this called I guess it's the W wicker covering maybe the the coat so um around it which is really pretty so they're two different ones and I quite like that and again probably the kitchen on top of one or the other then oh yeah no this is great this is great I just think this Tha is so sweet I think it's so pretty and it has the sticker on there which I'll keep on that says that it's Morano so it is Morano glass so it's properly made proper glass it's beautiful again I could put this picture and this next to each other in fact I'm going to show you that I think that will look quite sweet together in the kitchen on the Shelf then okay so then I couldn't resist this one cuz I just really liked the the floral pattern here it's it's got a bit of gold guiltiness to it I loved the clasp here inside and I think it's a great sort of trinket box you can put rings in here jewelry you could put cotton pads um batteries so this this is really sweet but I've thought of something on my drive back since you guys are going on these flea market Hunts with me I thought it'd be nice for you to be able to take home a little bit of Italy as well that's why my channel is authentic Italy deliver to your doorstep not just through the Vlogs picture now I've had to rearrange some pictures because originally above my bed was a picture that I found at PG and deborra one of my favorite flea markets here called IL picoo and I'll be visiting that in an upcoming Vlog but it was too dark in the bedroom and and I always knew it wasn't going to stay there so I've placed that where I originally wanted it to go which is in the corridor and and what was there before was this lovely painting from my friend um Alice Watt and I had it shipped all the way from London and I always knew that that was going to go in the kitchen but I wasn't able to hang it in the kitchen until the works started and this is now going to go go above the four poster bed and the colors are perfect because of course the master bedroom is this you know green and Rose and lilac and gold as well it's perfect so I'm going to go hang this let me know you uh let me know what you guys think once I hang it I love it I was so excited and the picture can you believe it was €40 and it's a beautiful beautiful picture so40 that and all of these were under €10 €1 or under and which is so exciting I think it's just wonderful you pick up something like this and you know that it has a story and it has a little bit of you know history behind the tear here I'm sure it has the word biani here um and really lovely and a Morano you know lovely petite vase fantastic unbelievable and these Demi John so I'm super pleased hopefully you are do check out Julian Italy and if you're interested in having this trinket box uh check it out cuz I it is going for sale and I think it's I
