My 2021 College Decision Reveal!~ (Committed to my dream school!)

hello this is my college reveal video i can't  really see the camera so i'm probably not looking   directly at it but this is the closest-- closest  that i'm gonna get um so i'm gonna explain one by   one which colleges i eliminated why i eliminated  them as choices and what my end decision was   so i'm going to start with the easiest  to the hardest for me i'll separate it by   my safety schools my reach schools and then like  the ones that i never thought i'd get into because   i know there's like a median i don't know what  it's called so we're just going to call that   apparently i'm not loud enough according  to my mom i don't know how to be louder   than that so hopefully this audio doesn't  come out terrible but let me start with my   safety schools so my safety schools were cal  state long beach and cal poly san luis obispo   these were my safety schools for no reason reason  other than the fact that they're cal states   which are still really good schools but i i  don't prefer them over most of these schools   that i applied to and i ended up getting into  other ones um cal poly actually rejected me so   they rejected me before i could reject them so  i'm just a little bit salty so they're eliminated   quite quickly cal state long beach actually  accepted me but um yeah they're definitely   not at the top of my list even though they're  a really good school next are kind of like my   in between schools that i really liked them  but they weren't my top choice so that would be   usfca which is the university of california san  francisco or san francisco california this school   actually offered me an 80 000 scholarship but  uh it just it wasn't the best school for me they   didn't have the exact major that i wanted which is  biochemistry they only had biology and they also   are a really big school they're focused on more  religion it's just not really me so i decided   to eliminate this one next even though i was  accepted in that same category i guess technically   you could call these rich schools because i  honestly never expected to get into any of these   um but uci and ucsd these were both like my  middle ground schools that i really wanted to get   into but i wasn't sure if i could but they weren't  exactly reached schools because they felt possible   but yeah uci accepted me into their biology  program which was my top choice major for them and   ucsd accepted me to rebel college which was my top  choice college for i believe it was biochemistry   but i don't remember anymore both are really good  schools and i really genuinely considered both of   them but in the end i did not end up choosing  either of these schools they are just not for   me even though i love the anteaters i'm kind of  biased because i love their mascot but there i   know um what do i have left okay let's go with  what else rejected me and that's usc this one was   really upsetting not gonna lie um i was kind of  sad that i got rejected but i don't care it's fine   um next that leaves us with stanford twins  chicago harvard and ucla um let's bring out   the more rejections i got uh stanford got this  one today it's fine this school didn't have the   major of my choice and i hate the location of it  personally it's like tree land in the middle of   nowhere we're in california but it's still like  nowhere fun you can't go to disneyland you can't   go to universal studios you can't go to the beach  so i'm not glad they rejected me but i didn't same for princeton terrible location it really new  jersey isn't the best place i know their campus is   amazing and their science programs are amazing  but they also didn't have my major of my choice   um i think i chose microbiology as my major  but uh they didn't accept me which i understand   it's an ivy league and i don't know it didn't  work for me it's completely fine chicago   um one of these schools reacted here i bet you can  guess which one by looking at them it was harvard   this one my mom could tell you it broke  my heart and made me sad but it's okay um   it is far away and that's scary so i'd rather  not live in the snow in the middle of nowhere   maybe in the future my mother just whispered maybe  graduate school we'll see but yeah harvard did not   accept me or wait list me um that's okay that  happens differently for me next it's between   these little beauties here u chicago and  ucla now these two schools are very different   but also very similar like uchicago is the  ucla of chicago so illinois sorry i forget   the state mixed with the city i'm a genius i  obviously i see why i got rejected to harvard um yeah so uchicago is really known for  their study abroad program and for their   science program they're also a huge school and  they're very expensive like insanely expensive   um but their application was free and they  sent me a lot of emails constantly which   was the only reason why i applied there i also  liked the school obviously but um they're both   very similar ucla also is known for their  travel abroad programs and their sciences   both had a biochemistry program um but  in the end you chicago waitlisted me   and you sailing accepted me which means i was left  with a choice and i inevitably chose ucla is it a   shocker i don't know i think most people already  know this is my mom this is my favorite school so   yeah i'm really excited about it believe it or not  even though i have kind of low energy right now   it's been a long day this is my my dream school um  i did end up rejecting you chicago i mean this is   stanford you're chicago but this is my school  this is who i committed to this is my school so yes ucla is now my school i'm gonna be a  biochemist bruin just really epic um yeah so   uh catch me on la campus soon in the  fall which is weird and there's marina   your ball matches show them the ball room bye bye you chicago okay i just  realized some people care about   stats so if you're curious about stats  here are my stats just real quick best don't eat oh
