MUST WATCH Before Buying VIRAL $250 Advent Calendar

hey greens it is finally one of my favorite Seasons yet Advent calendars last year we did so many different kinds of Advent calendars if you're considering any of them I will leave a link Down Below in case you're thinking of them since they don't really change them that much we did everything from Crayola Advent calendar even to build a bear Advent calendar what I love about Advent calendars is that they're basically giant mystery boxes for 24 to 26 days and for those of you who don't know what an advent calendar is it's basically a countdown gift box to yourself or to someone else and every day you get a different surprise it's very popular here in North America around Christmas time let me know what the tradition is for around Christmas time for your country and what we have here is the 150 dollar sold out Advent calendar by sugoi Mart now even though it was sold out when I did buy it they are taking pre-orders so if it is something you like you can definitely check them out it's just not sponsored nor affiliate now that is 150 U.S converted to Canadian and then I had to pay 40 dollars of Customs which ends up being 250 dollars Canadian for me now let's not kid ourselves this box is absolutely beautiful it's so aesthetic it has this cool kind of easy going Vibe cozy gamer type and this one here is supposed to promise us a kind of experience of Japan however each one of these is also a mystery box in a mystery box because not all of them are the same so even though I have this one over here the items let's say you do get it the items you get are going to be different for you so it's going to be different for most people and as someone who loves Japan and travel there very often the question is is it worth your cash or does it go in the trash let me know in the comment section below what is your verdict I think it's going to be worth our trash that's just me because I start off very salty and then proven wrong after and while you're in the comments section letting me know your verdict if you're new here make sure that you do subscribe because when you do and click on all notifications you become a grain of salt in the salt shaker family so we should be getting anything from plushies figurines food as you can see on the box it says here food kits anime snacks so I don't know it's there's a lot of stuff blind boxes card games there's a lot going on here you see it tells you that you could get all of these things here so we're going to open this in order maybe the order matters I don't know all right so let's see where is number one okay I see it finally here there it is and we have oh that is a nice way to open no way we have a Demon Slayer character what the shrimp wait what's in here okay that's just the backing now don't worry if you don't recognize any of the figurines or characters I will tell you where they're from so this here is one of my favorite characters from Demon Slayer actually as you can see he is in my background it's a little hard to see but you he's there and if you like fantasy and demonic type characters you would enjoy this series definitely check it out I've actually seen someone unbox it and say that they got an actual Tamagotchi in there so we'll see I'm gonna tally everything up at the end and let you know the actual price so let's push this in here and let me know if you've ever gotten a Tamagotchi too oh another thing don't say your birthday but let me know the day what number day is your birthday and what item was in there since mine is the 21st you'll see what's in there alright where's number two these numbers are cute oh there it is right here come on stay good what is that that is Fluffy what is this of the shrimp they really stuffed it what are you oh that is cute we have a kitty cat bean bag now I don't recognize if this is from a series but if it's not from a series that's totally okay because sometimes you won't necessarily recognize a character but as long as it's aesthetically cute here it says Neko denka did I read this properly Danka I don't know my Japanese is Rusty so I guess this here is the information but it is cute it is adorable it is definitely a good quality item so far I'm not too disappointed this is also becoming a number hunt at this point I'm like where's the next number I see number four okay I see number three right here and let's go ahead move this and see what the heck is that are these chocolates oh my God I love these ah these are an actually really good brand wow it give it holy shrimp it is giving um hang on there we go oh my God God this is not sponsored or Affiliated this is impressive though so far so far now these chocolates are pretty popular in Japan they are one of my favorites I think when I went to that store that actually makes these I spent like 80 on just chocolate and gave them out of souvenirs and kept some for myself and they are tiny chocolates with actually really really good strong flavors it's not like kind of there it actually is there so we have the nuts cookies and cream biscuits strawberry and I'm actually not familiar with these ones so let's go ahead and open up the strawberry one because Japan does strawberry right well Japan does a lot of good foods right it smells like really strong strawberry and it did say jelly so I am expecting jelly on the inside yes oh my God um I missed Japan all right number four I did see you earlier and you are down here and I have to say the quality of the actual box is really Pleasant and easy to open there were some Advent calendars that were a nightmare to open I needed a knife to open them when do you offer Us number four oh it's another figurine of a character I do not recognize this one no idea not pretty sure some of you are probably yelling at me through the screen but I do not know who this character is is this a K-pop character or a J-pop character I do not know maybe one of the things I could comment on is since not everyone knows every single fandom it would be kind of cool to have maybe a little note of where this comes from that way if I want to actually get into the fandom I can watch it number five not too far away what do you have for us is that more candy holy shrimp oh no now we're getting into cheap territory okay now we're getting at the cheap territory don't do that we started off pretty strong here we have more Japanese type snacks these look to be little gummies now these are also known as dagashi which are basically cheap kind of candies that you can get anywhere between 10 cents and 30 to 40 cents each but I guess for the experience this could be interesting so I have no idea what these are I haven't tried them before but I know I've seen them they smell like nothing all right let's try a blue one let's take them out and we have green orange blue and purple wait is the color distribution even Japan you are nothing like Starburst Starburst here in North America likes to give you uneven numbers of every color alright let's go for orange because it's my favorite flavor and yeah it's a gummy with a hard shell okay I don't hate them actually you know what they're not bad they're pretty good purple's grape all right we just did number five number six is right here and it should be another figurine but so far we are getting snacks figurines snacks figurines and this is a Mystery Pack it looks like we're getting a mystery box in the mystery box what are you holy shrimp I am not familiar with this fandom it's called Twisted Disney oh I've heard of this before so this is Twisted Wonderland by Disney now I didn't watch it myself but I did hear that Disney had its own anime cartoon thing but I never actually watched it so I'm guessing this is a figurine mystery box that we should get let me know if you've seen this series before and what do we get it is really heavy what is that it's a bath bomb yeah and we have a character card this one is real rose Hearts I'm actually I'm actually gonna check this series out and we have a bath bomb that is actually pretty useful I do love functional and useful gifts I know I'm weird I always ask for socks I love socks a lot we are now on day seven I really wish that there was some kind of consistency with the boxes but since these are mystery boxes and surprise boxes within themselves again remember this isn't a guarantee that you will be getting the same things as they say on their website right here number seven let's pull you in and we got a little plushie baby oh no is that at Tsum Tsum what are you and it looks like we're getting a bunny wrapped in a leaf so I guess it's a dessert bunny okay this is information so here it is and here it is oh my God it's upside down hey no that is not upside down that is the ears we have Sakura oh it's a Sakura Mochi cute that is cute and it is a stackable plushie look at the details on this one here again you can feel that the quality is good it is a stackable plushie I do keep some stackable plushies behind me I'm not sure if I'm going to put her behind me but we'll see next we have number eight I see ten here there's number eight let's see what other variety of things we have are we gonna get a Tamagotchi oh we have a gacha so a gacha is basically one of those tourney toy things that you put the money in and then you get a ball mystery ball of a figurine this is really not easy to pull out oh my God I need to get that ball out get your minds out of the gutter okay here come on come on I got you and it says it already says Bandai so we know that it is from the same company that did Dragon Ball so let's see do we have tape no and what do we have in here what is that no way we have Artemis from Sailor Moon so we have a tiny little figurine from one of the iconic cats in the anime series Sailor Moon and if you look at the catalog we could have gotten any of these characters so we could have gotten one of the two cats one of the two Scouts and or Sailor Moon and Moonlight night so far this experience is not too bad I'm gonna say it's probably around the 7 7.5 and less proven otherwise so we're about neutral positive at this time where is number nine there we go almost smack middle because there is no middle this would go diagonal this way and this would go diagonal that way so they're off center which I don't mind although this down here does feel like a solid item perhaps oh what is that no it is not a solid item it's just a stuffed item what are you oh my god oh you are stuffed in here what are you oh it's a facial mask Japan absolutely loves their face mask but not only face masks they actually have them with the character faces right on top some of them are nightmare fuel like the Pokemon ones as you can see right here and it seems like this one over here is that of a samurai and it does say it's an art mask so you can use this to hydrate your face and I do like the Japanese masks they really do feel good interesting choice I like that all right nine you are done where is 10 I think 10 was higher oh here's 10. down here the absolute's opposite of higher come on Tamagotchi oh is that a Tamagotchi what did we get no not in Vegas no don't tell me this is Evangelion I hate I hate that series I know it's a classic but please no I think it is let's pull the tab uh oh gosh I have to set you up okay hang on so I have no idea what this is it just hatched as I put the time in uh energy and we don't have any instructions what did I just did I just feed you hang on I do not know what is happening here um no I didn't mean to feed you what am I doing um let's try this one might be I'm just feeding you oh we can battle battle training okay let's see Test Pro what are we doing oh what am I doing am I supposed to destruction that came with it I will try and keep it alive for the rest of the video whether it goes away or not it's not up to me but I don't know what it belongs to out of all the actual Tamagotchis we could get we got one that I don't know what it is nor do we get the box for it or label so going Mark don't leave us hanging here give us information all right number 10 is done 11 is right here it was actually pretty conveniently close and we have more snacks oh Hello Kitty we have some I'm guessing Mochi yeah oh marshmallows Hello Kitty Marshmallow with chocolate I'm guessing probably so going what if you're gonna give us a figurine or something that has to be used with buttons please instructions please this is 250 I would love some instructions so yes it is a marshmallow and there we go stuffed with chocolate let's go ahead and take a bite my basically tastes like yeah a chocolate inside a marshmallow oh this would be good with a campfire yeah it's okay I'm really disappointed with the Tamagotchi though it was probably the item I was looking forward to the most and number 12 is smack middle well middle-ish are you okay are you still alive yes okay I think I got this working again now I don't know what I'm am I supposed to avoid this oh I'm supposed to avoid these okay I'm just gonna keep it alive for now all right let's see what's in number 12 more cookies some more yeah more cookies oh we have KitKat cookies and cream very cool these things are actually pretty popular in Japan so at least I'm glad that they are giving us proper snacks and not just the cheap stuff oh they really stuffed quite a few in here okay there we go so we have the cookies and cream and we got five of them not normally a whole bag of these is about four dollars and we have five of them so don't worry I will be doing calculations but Japanese kitkats are really good all right let's let's stop giving me snacks and give me something of actual interest 13 is right here we have plushies it's not more snacks that is more snacks this one says Ichigo okay strawberry these are the gashi these are the ones these are the things that 10 cents I'm talking about here so no I do not like this I do not like it at all and it was number 13 so they definitely put in one of the least interesting stuff so I don't know what these are but I have seen them so we have the cola flavor we have strawberry and we have The Grapes two of The Grapes let's go ahead and open it because I do not know and it has a little a little opening thing that we just have to wrap around you are it's probably going to be more of those chewy soft candies come on you can do it oh gosh they're so tiny for myself oh they are the same thing here's the other one yeah they're basically oh gosh no do not fall they're more of the same thing which was fine but these are 10 cents I don't want to see that when I spent 250 dollars actually this is worse than I thought it's gum I don't like gum I like gummies but I don't like gum all right what are you now we are looking for 14. oh and by the way this goes up to 26 no 27. hang on 30. okay it goes up to it's an actual Whole 30 days interesting I found 14 and it is over here don't give me cheap stuff grades are starting to get lower we're now hovering around a 6.7 don't do this to me this is seems pretty solid on the inside oh no is this another bath bomb is this another bath bomb of the exact same series or are we getting a different series here so here we have a bath bomb from another series now don't be too what's the word something is it some type of word editor is that even a word assumptive many bath bombs in Japan can be found at the Daiso which is the Dollar Store from over there and I usually stock up on their bath bombs so let's go ahead and open it because either way Pat loves bath bombs so let's take a look at it there you go it looks exactly like the Disney one and we should get a character card there you go not familiar with this series but it looks like her name is Haru and here's the bath bomb very very standard still alive yes do you go to bathroom I guess we'll wait and see if it poops as some of you grains that may know I and salty crafter absolutely love Japan as you can see salty crafter is enjoying a trip all over Japan a little bit of Tokyo a little bit of Kyoto and now I have no idea like this brand though and I'm likely going to enjoy it because I like it but not because it's 250 dollars just saying 16 we have you and more snacks no more of the cheap crap [Music] I know for a fact I know for a fact that these again are some of the cheap stuff why you ask because I bought them when I was over there and at the time these were about 20 or 30 cents so and here we go let's open it and they're very nice and powdery I do enjoy these there you go they look like tiny little mints and they're just powder candy I like the texture I like the flavor 20 cents basically tastes like another Mount Fuji and again these are pretty cheap I've seen these at the dollar store in Japan so yeah just keep that in mind we got some cheap erasers I'm actually looking at the hundred and fifty dollars US with 250 for me haul so far on my table and I am not impressed I'm gonna show you at the end let's go for 18 what do you have don't tell me more candy okay let me pull the tea out wow wow they really baited us with number one huh they really baited us but again I'm not too disappointed at this we do have some Sakura tea which again I drink tea every day at least four or five different kinds of teas throughout the day so this here is a cherry blossom type tea so it should have a little bit of a sweet cherry type flavor and we get four of them I can actually text my friend right away and ask her how much these are because I've never tried these before lucky for us it seems like 19 and 20 are side by side so we don't have to fish too far for garbage you started so strong but why you gotta break them a hot I put in so much money and I want this to be so good the Box beautiful look at it aesthetic front and back absolutely wonderful and then you give me garbage like marshmallow and eraser you know this is an expensive item don't give me trash like I would be angry if this weren't for a video actually that's the lemon but I mean I would I would feel terrible if anyone spent back it is adorable and according to the pamphlet we could have gotten any of these cute ones here that they are adorable okay we have a salamander I think this is a dinosaur a tadpole or a dinosaur we're not angry and let's take a quick look at the tape quality oh no hang on here is the tape it is pretty much on the translucent side but it does have good adhesion very very good adhesion except hole over here think of the strongest strongest strawberry smell that you can think of and that's basically it it's a strawberry candy it'll smell like strawberry candy you'll smell very edible that's figurines and things what are you a latte okay Japanese Starbucks okay at least we have Japan Starbucks caramel latte and just one you don't deserve two if you like it tough we get multiple of everything except for the interesting coffee because it's probably pricier still not getting my value so far this has gone from a seven ish I don't what did I say again editor probably around a seven seven point five and I'm starting to feel more and more like a 4 on 10 so far and the next two numbers are over here on opposite ends at the bottom so let us bring you close up come on figurine and figurine okay so we have a character from sumiko gurashi that's here you can see them on screen there's these characters they look adorable they've been around forever quite a long time and they're some of the most popular characters in Japan very cute very tiny and here are the details in 360. there's nothing else you can do with it is it even it's not even a bag charm what the shrimp what the accidentally open 24. we just opened 24. me 25 what are you gonna be another face mask no is that the Spy family yeah spy family now the Spy family is a series also another anime series I actually haven't gotten to watching it yet it is on my list to watch during the holidays so I'm guessing this is a blind box of one of the characters I don't know much so I'm gonna guess that I probably would want Anya right the cute little girl over here let's go ahead and see who we got and oh it's a stem interesting and we could have gotten oh they're all of her face okay we just happened to get the Sleepy face and there's more in the back here okay here are the other characters Tamagotchi are you still alive yes have you pooped no can we do anything else with you just these two what does the second one do testing program what am I doing action what what am I doing what is this I don't understand what am I what the heck am I supposed to press it as soon as they touch I don't get it what all right let's go ahead and test our um stamp and here's our paper what does it look like it's gonna be good I mean it is a Japanese stamp it's cute but that's about it I really feel like they've thrown a lot of leftovers in here let's see what we have on 26 where are you bath bomb thing oh gosh we have here furi Kake which for those of you who don't know here we go on the screen purikake is a seasoning for your white rice or whatever rice you like it basically adds a layer of flavor if you don't have time to add anything else now most of them are very fishy flavored but some of them can be a little bit more Porky a little bit more eggy or a little bit more vegetable light now over here I have no idea what flavor there is because they don't offer any kind of information and even if I wanted to search it on their website I don't know what to search for let me Google Translate it so according to Google translate this seems to be a fried rice flavor so a little bit probably meaty and vegetably and eggy at the same time maybe a little garlicky too this is interesting but again these in Japan are really cheap you can buy a few of these for a dollar just saying and I know things are going to be cheaper in Japan because you are in Japan but again for paying 250 dollars Canadian I could have bought these things from other websites way cheaper and less disappointing no no come on we're gonna skip this one for now we'll come back to 27 later and we'll just pull it right out 28 what are you what are you another character you know what let's just pull everything up so this is 28 here's 29. we're gonna look at everything what is that is that a little towel actually now I want to look at it now so I don't know who this character is if you know who he is please let me know I'm going to keep it and it's wrapping in case someone I know likes it and wants to keep it not familiar with them and again there's no indication of where he's from so it's not like I can go and watch and become a fan and be like yeah I love this character and keep it at this point I'm like I don't want to keep it now we have a towel oh that looks delicious okay we have a dessert type towel you know what I'm keeping this this is cute Japan has a really prominent towel culture especially because it gets really hot there in the summer so they just you know keep themselves dry when they do the sweating and you can see here that it's not something that expensive look at it we see the price already it's a dollar fifty with tax it's a dollar 65. so you know when I say the price of things I ain't lion I lion hang on where are we oh yeah we're not gonna take out the ball just yet let's go ahead and do 30 and we have another character where are you from is that from haikyuu I think this character's from haikyu I think it's a bobble character are you a bobble character you are a bobble character this is fun again if no one knew the show haikyuu which is basically volleyball pretty intense for a show definitely watch it if you're into it even if you're I'm not into volleyball but I really enjoyed the show are you still bobbling okay good for you I could be wrong though I just know the colors but I could be absolutely wrong this is its own fidget toy to be honest it's probably great for your office this is great if you want to put it on your desk for fidgeting I'm gonna pull this thing out are you gonna come out easy these are so annoying whoever put these definitely did not try to pull these out there you go what do we have anything else did I miss no I did not miss anything and I'm gonna do a quick tally of the value of the items on the inside what do we have in here we have a pin from Tokyo Revengers which is on my list of anime to watch but I did not watch so here you go all right you ready for the tally so I hope you're ready for this calculation because it does not look good we definitely got scammed on this Advent calendar so as you can see here I've grouped them into different categories we have Foods or beverages we also have household items and things and then we have the actual anime slash Japanese type merch and then the weird Tamagotchi oh and by the way my Tamagotchi is dead now so for the food itself they are approximately six to seven dollars of actual food items since many of them are approximately 10 to 30 cents each so again I'm being a little liberal on my calculations for the household items it is about eight dollars again I'm being very liberal and for the anime merch these here are more or less 30 dollars and then ten dollars for the cheap Tamagotchi so my reasoning is that it is a cheap Tamagotchi because it didn't come in an actual box or packaging or even with the instructions so they're probably the really cheap ones that they got second hand perhaps I don't know so we're looking at a grand total I picked 250 dollars to receive this box and in turn got a value of about 55 now the company did reach out to me once they found out that I did record a review of this Advent calendar and asked me to let you all know that they are taking about a 24 hit on the shipping so to keep that in mind when it comes to the value does it change my opinion absolutely not is this Advent calendar worth at absolutely froggy not absolutely not if I can save some of you some money I'm gonna do it and I'm gonna try to get this video out ASAP probably the first video of November if you want to see more Advent calendars I will link them down below but I'll also leave one up here and if if you want to watch a fidget
