hello and welcome man my name is drum roll tony i'm a streamer on twitch musician and music teacher living in seattle and uh i got to tell you the whole anime thing this is brand new i am i am nobody i know nothing about this i've watched now i've watched two episodes i've watched the first two episodes of attack on titan i can honestly tell you that i'm enjoying it so far but just keep in mind i know nothing i've listened to three pieces uh from aot and reacted to that in this channel and it's been awesome and someone in the discord recommended that i check out jojo's bizarre adventure so i'm like cool what's that because i don't have a clue what this is man so this is what i'm finding on google right now you all already know but i'm just i'm learning this so you can just learn it with me real time here uh it says people also ask is jojo good anime it says from unique character design to constant tonal shifts and great music jojo's bizarre adventure is widely regarded as one of the best anime ever okay how do i say this name hiko araki's jojo bazaar's adventure has kept audiences entertained for 35 years and earned its spot in the pantheon of essential anime series wow okay so 35 what like 80s yeah that's a while ago um i know nothing but i'm excited to hear this music so yeah anyway this would be cool let's do it i just want to let you know like a little disclaimer here those of you that are brand new to the channel you're coming for your first time i do tend to stop and rewind and talk about things quite a bit because that is how i listen to new music so just giving that to you before you get big mad in the comments all right let's go jojo's bizarre adventure golden wind original soundtrack giordo's theme let's begin cool uh like funky bass part there oh it's like a jet engine in the beginning so i just let me just let me just go back a little bit [Music] [Music] that's cool the bass is really starting to go off there so we have that bass line and the guitar line basically just doubles it so it's the riff that's happening or it's pretty cool and then everything is four on the floor just meeting big heavy quarter note pulse with some swede all just moving moving and grooving i like it [Music] little counter melody [Music] that's cool so like the three layers we i'm hearing are like that main group we established in the beginning and then the vocal layer is like in the middle it's like almost lost under everything else so it's definitely not the predominant layer which that's kind of cool and it's super like short and staccato and aggressive and then that counter melody uh going on top is really good so let's see what this transition transition is all about [Music] joe [Music] [Applause] nice use of strings coming in there just having a field change and what's going on so i dug that whoa yeah all that like chromatic string stuff that's like ascending descending just all like uh kind of like half step bass cool i'll go back 10 seconds and grab all that again [Music] oh yeah dude [Music] that's a good that's a feel good saxo right there and the bass stuff underneath it's very a lot of groups i play in this that's definitely the kind of like feel that we're playing and drums are just kicking and you're driving the whole time it's all like you know it's it's basically a blues riff like it's it's it's a jam band piece so uh i like the sax hole the hell like that throwback it had that like throwback feel that kind of screamy like late 80s 90s you know it was cool good times all right i think guitar is next what i just heard [Music] [Music] [Music] all right coming that was a nice guitar solo like it was it was like you know very in the pocket and it was like you know kind of staying within boundaries that i would expect to hear that we started getting a little woo all that stuff going on those i like it i like it all right what's next [Music] [Music] okay that was the coolest part of the song uh the overture the piece so far that was a really cool chord progression we sort of heard it earlier it was kind of mimicked like maybe a minute ago but this had a little more there's a little more spice on this one and the way it uh kind of resolved let's go back 15 seconds i think that's far enough nope it's not [Music] [Music] [Music] that's great [Music] mission and possibly type feels with a pretty cool this would be really you could write some really fun uh like drumline parts on top of this because the tempo is nice and it's so aggressive just so far this whole like four on the floor in your face groove has not gone away at all so that's pretty fun i definitely want to hear the uh thing again [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right man okay so the first time in this melody and this i guess we could call this probably the the reprise of what's going on from the top you got your sacks and there's like the guitar tone is like underneath and it's like it almost reminds me of a little bit of like kind of like a fusiony jazz uh head jazz melody uh pretty cool and now the strings just came in so let's let's hear this transition where the strings come in with the supportive harmonies here [Music] [Music] that was great dude let's hear that again listen to the the okay so the aggressiveness of uh before we had that boot going on and now we're like way more purposeful less notes the tone is a little different so you're really showing a shift here [Music] that was cool [Music] man points for creativity on that transition uh super sick way that came out of it percussion wise and then they hit us with that we're going back 10 seconds to catch that again [Music] love it [Music] oh [Music] come back to it [Music] there's a lot to listen to there you got your low end groove we got the saxophone we got the voice it's almost too much for my ear but i mean it's cool you can like listen and identify all four of those layers but damn dude it's it's uh that's a thick sandwich right there [Music] and on a big minor chord what's this are these part of it i'm gonna listen okay i don't think so all right uh yeah man that was um what a uh now remember like i said in the beginning i don't know anything because i'm so new but what a uh variation from at least the three things that i've heard um from aot versus this this was total jam band like this is actually like really um like this is something i could listen to and like let's score this out like we can go play it you know like on stage like that get yourself a good saxophone player and someone that can rip on guitar and rhythm section that's jamming you're good to go that is uh that's pretty addicting like that's that's a really fun theme so uh thanks for putting that one in the discord that was cool uh
