hi everyone I'm a music composer and today I'm going to be listening and reacting to Raphael's final act from Boulders St 3 now I don't know anything about this piece except that it's a metal theme for a character named Raphael who is a devil so without further Ado let's Jump Right In All Mortal lives expire souls go to their [Music] Dooms in flame forever more so we get this Melody has this downward motion and a Harmony in the organ so what does this imply usually not many people start a battle them with just a single vocal line and Harmony ingan so it's really interesting and also the local line the Mel gives the sense that this Mel isn't breing this Mel doesn't break it doesn't shake it knows where it's going and it's Absolut and I think it reflects Raphael's power and Dom Nation or everything so I think it's very well [Music] portrayed so we have an exact repetition of the same Melody this time in the organ and later the choir is added and notice how we have the exact same Melody and perhaps the exact same Harmony but because we have change in instrumentation we have a change in Dynamics and in other musical elements we don't lose interest and this is a perfect thing when it comes to composing you shouldn't be afraid of repeating ideas but at the same time you should change some elements to keep things interesting for your listener and also I can mention the organ is really fascinating because when we think of organ we think of church music and it's an instrument that has always been used to worship God and now the exact same instrument is being used to show chase a devil to portray a devil and it's really interesting how the sound of organ has evolved really great so far let's continue hell hell hell has its laws hell hell effect in the cause cut Falls but hold your aor squirm squirm for now down here come the claw so okay first of all the lyrics are awesome and the very interesting thing here is that notice how the music has been written in a way that the vocalist is engaging with the lyrics so in that section that is saying curtain Falls but hold your applause so the way the melan supports the lyrics and in this case or in cases like this in general you not only hear the lyrics you feel them and I think Marissa Sol an absolutely outstanding job in doing that so when you hear curtain Falls but hold your applause when you hear that hold you get the sense you metaphorically and imagine Raphael holding his hand in mockery and say that line to you so it's really cool also notice how this time instead of sustained Harmony we have fast moving our pated lines in the low strings and also punctuating notes in the blue breath bum bum bum bum which again adds an [Music] attention [Music] Liv oh moral lives expire souls go to their Toms in flame forever so again the idea explained in the beginning of the video we again have the exact recap of the melody but this time we have Fuller Harmony in the stren and in the breast especially horns and you can see the addition of percussions drums and bells and different things that Al we're hearing the melody for the third time in such a short period of time but we're still not feeling bored it's exactly the opposite we're feeling interested so this is really cool I think fools fools how hard you have fought brave brave but it's all been for not true Souls that couldn't be bought doomed detected and C so we're basically following the same pattern ining walkal line and again supported by uh Harmony in the string and we have horns playing the counter Mel also noce how p is so much inspired by bro music like for example this movement here you know when you listen to exle fug by someone like B this movement is literally all over the place and it's interesting that when we think of Baro period we think of maybe 3 to 400 years ago and it's interesting that now in a video game the composer is taking Maro music and combining it with this interesting ining modern sort of vocal life and lyrics and creating this unique atmosphere which is really I really appreciate this as a [Music] composer no more deals it's over the Final Act your doom no more Grace it's over this house of Hope [Music] wow again the W calls amazing and you notice for the climax leading to the resolution and the end of the piece we had the exact same Melody that was given to the female localist that was sort of the narrator here but this time it wasn't the localist this time it was given to the horns with Harmony in the string again this time in the high string and again that so as you can see in this two minute piece we heard different elements and in this last part we sort of combined them all together now as I said I don't know anything about Raphael I'm playing bould state three but I'm so far from act 3 but I think this was really interesting and very well done to composer Baris Sal to people who played this and the vocalists and I think that this pie is it was very delightful to listen to it and thank you for watching I hope that you enjoyed this reaction and do let me know in the comments if you want any other theme from movies video games anime Etc you want me to react to
