Murphy Bed Show Room Tour

hi everybody and welcome back to murphy bed studios my name is alex and today is a great day i'm going to show you our brand new showroom that we just moved in here about a month ago and i want to show you every collection that we have to offer so follow me and i will show you around guys and welcome to our showroom so in this showroom we have 10 beds on display and today i'm going to show you each one of these collections so if you decide to walk into our showroom you're able to see all of these collections on display so we're going to start off with our basic entry level murphy bed so this murphy bed is called our manhattan collection so manhattan we have a manhattan and we have a manhattan plus it comes in two different colors this is a maple finish pre-finished material and we also have a white one that's our basic uh entry-level murphy bed you do have an option of doing a two-step crown mold this murphy bed opens just like all of our other ones very easy to pull back we do balance all of our springs and the mechanism so it's very easy to open and close the leg does swivel back just like everything else and there you go same thing going back up swivel back up and close this up our next collection is our fremont collection and with this collection you have a little bit more options in the color and the finish of this specific bed the fremont also has a traditional crown molding that could be stained or painted in your color of choice uh but this just has a little bit more options than the manhattan collection which only has two colors that we offer so you can either paint this or you can stain it and we do have our basic standard colors that you can see at our showroom here at location our next collection is our utica collection so it's kind of like our fremont where it could be painted or stained but it does have a little bit of moldings on the face of it as you can see you can also have a choice of your different colors of handles and styles this bed also has our traditional crown molding and the crown molding on this bed and any beds moving forward could be changed up to a cove base and as i open this bed it also opens up the same way as all of our other ones the lake swivels over and all of our beds they do have a standard 16 inch headboard as an option and an upgrade you could do led lights on any of our beds as an additional upgrade moving on to our next collection it's our berkshire and it's more of a shaker style as you could see behind me this one is made out of our oak material and it's stained in our dark special walnut color and also features the same components our mechanisms our frames are all the same across all of our beds this one does have a traditional crown molding and that could be changed up to a cove molding but it works the same way and talking about our mechanism and our bed frame all of our beds have a metal frame that the panels screw onto very durable very sturdy our bed frames can handle up to 1400 pounds is the weight rated for these beds on any twin full or queen size our spring mechanisms are all the same just the different springs and the quantity of springs are changed up from the different weight of the mattress and the bed frame they all work the same way very balanced our next collection is our hampton collection it's our most elegant the most popular collection out of the custom beds that we do this one behind me is painted a mindful gray by sherman williams it's a very popular color for us here in tulsa this bed does have two side cabinets and with the cabinets you can add any cabinets we have seven different options of cabinet styles to any of our collections this bed itself is more of a shaker style it's got its own unique uh style to it as you can see these are just kind of dummy drawers with very elegant 957 handles that we provide and they do come in a different finish also if you'd like this one has a little different crown molding this is a very thick and bulky two-step square crown mold that we do on this specific collections because it complements the bed really well as you can see on the cabinets we do offer glass shelving as an option we do have a nightstand pull out option as far as for that we also have a door or some drawers that you could accommodate in those cabinets basic option and the way it works same way as any of our other beds our next collection is our davenport so this is one of our desk option beds that has a murphy bed and a desk option so it's a multi-purpose multi-function product that we offer as you can see on the side we do offer a little night stand without any upper cabinets a very nice nightstand pull out along with a door at the bottom but this bed is one of those where you want to convert your bedroom into a bedroom and an office and we do have another option that i'll show you later on one of our other collections but in this collection it's a it's a desk that is stationary so it's always there you can't fold it up but what's nice and unique about this is that anything that you have on this desk up to eight and a half inches stays on the desk so you don't have to clear that out when you're finished and you want to use the bed so when you do pull out the bed the desk itself just swivels and but stays on that same level so nothing has to be moved as it's coming up it's the same way so nothing gets disturbed on the desk and it works really well with that feature also this is our fremont collection with our desk added on so you do have options in stain color paint color uh and different sizes this is a full size but you can definitely go with a queen or a twin or even a key it also has our traditional crown molding that could be substituted for a cove mold and the handles you also have some options on the different styles and the different colors horizontal bed can be incorporated when you have an issue with your ceiling height or maybe there's an elbow in your ceiling and so this product and this setup works really well for those circumstances a horizontal bed is basically it lays sideways instead of vertically and it works well and so you can incorporate this horizontal application on any of our collections and it works the same way you just pull back and you open it with the leg being swiveled out and on the horizontal beds we don't put brackets on the top like we do on our vertical beds instead we have a six inch stiffener board that sits inside the bed and we screw through that to secure the bed to the wall moving on to our more expensive bed and another multi-purpose bed is our chicago style collection as you can see here it's aesthetically very pleasing it's a very shaker style like bed but it also has a put away desk on the face of it i'm going to demonstrate [Music] so this desk actually works really well for people that actually want to put that desk away and so it's not stationary like our davenport so we came out with our chicago collection for really the drawbridges in chicago as you can see you can open and close this very effortlessly this bed behind me is made out of our special walnut stain color it's our most popular one on nutty alder as you can see we do have some oversized side cabinets with it with some glass shelf options and this one's because our ceiling allowed us we were able to put a cubby above the bed and extend our side cabinets which is another option that you can do if your ceiling allows it the bed works the same way once the desk is up and locked in position you are able to open it just like all of our other beds swivel the leg and bring it down on our cabinets this one has a night stand pull out along with two drawers and you do have different options of our site cabinets that you can see in our showroom and this collection is our very unique collections very custom as you can see it's a murphy bed couch set up we do build our couches in-house and there are two different types of fabric that you can choose from or you can supply your own fabric and we can also cover it with that but as you can see it's our very nice flat panel more or less our fremont collection that is extended as you open up the bed the cushions move out and you have your bed to sleep in when you are finished you close it up and transform back into a couch here we have some oversized side cabinets that you could see on each side and also the cove molding crown that i mentioned to you that you can upgrade to from a traditional crown on this specific bed we installed some led lights right outside of the bed so when you're sitting in your couch you can use it as reading lights and also when you're sleeping or you're on the bed you can also use it as reading light so it works both ways open and closed
