Tipid Tips Atbp Tikoy (Nian Gao) Rolls Choco Peanuts & Yema (Egg Yolks and Condensed Milk) Fillings Ingredients for Tikoy Rolls 2 cups of glutinous rice flour. 1 cup and 2 tablespoons of evaporated milk. 1 tablespoon of vanilla. ¼ teaspoon of salt. ½ cup of white sugar. And for the fillings, choco peanuts and yema which I cooked already. And for the coating, peanuts. I roasted and crushed it already. And you can also use crushed graham crackers. Okay, come on. Let's start. Okay, let us now put the ingredients. Salt. Vanilla. Sugar. And let us gradually pour in the evaporated milk. There, let us just mix this until there are no more lumps. Okay, now guys, this has no lumps anymore. And we will now ready our containers/pans. We will put the tikoy here and we will grease these with oil first. You should be able to grease this well since tikoy is very sticky. So that you won't have a hard time removing it later. Also guys, it is better if you will be using a rectangular or square molding pans so that you will not have a hard time rolling. It will be even. But I have here a round molding pan. A round molding pan is available for me today that is why I will be using it first today. I'm sorry. There. It's okay already. We have greased these with oil. Now, we will pour in the tikoy mixture. And of course, you should have a measuring cup. The thinness should just be right and thickness. Because if you will make it thicker, you will just earn a small profit. Okay. If it can be, if you will be pouring it so that you know the thickness of it, you can draw a line in here or any markings that you can put so the thickness is right. Okay. Let us pour it in first. I will only make it thin because if you will be making it thick, you will have a hard time pulling it, or widen it. So for this, you don't have to widen it anymore because the thickness is just right. There. I just pour in 2 cups since we will just be eating it here at home. My children missed this that is why I cooked it again. Okay, now, it has flattened already. It is even. We will now cover it with foil. Okay, now we are done covering it with foil. And don't ever forget to put a cover above it so that our tikoy won't have water in it. Now, we will put it in the steamer. There. Let us now put it. Okay, we will cook this already and and after 10 to 20 minutes, we will check if it is cooked already. There. Okay, now, we will cook it. We will check it after 10 to 15 minutes. It is just quick to cook since our tikoy is just thin. There. We will return later. Okay, now, 10 minutes have passed and we will check it if it is cooked already. Okay, it is cooked already. It is cooked already. There, no more. There are no more white remnants. There. Because our tikoy is just think that is why it is just quick. Let us turn off the fire. Now, we have removed it from the steamer. And we will now let this cool down. Okay, let us first cool it down. Okay, while we are letting the tikoy cool down, we will wrap this first with cling wrap so that our tikoy won't keep on sticking. There. Okay, now it's done and we will check the tikoy if it has cooled down already. Okay, it is now cold, and we will put it in here already. And now, we will start. And our fillings, there they are. Let us prepare it already. The coating. The first that we will use is the choco peanuts. There. This is the flavor I chose because this is the favorite of my child and it is already chocolate-flavored, then it has crushed nuts already. You can really taste the nuts here. Also, whatever flavor you like, you can make that. Any flavor will do. Even peanut butter, it will do as well. Peanut butter is also delicious. I tried using peanut butter already. The taste is really perfect. It is really suited. It's delicious. There, just roll it. There. If for example, you like it to be thicker, you can roll it in another one if your tikoy is quite thin. It depends on you on how thick you like it. There. Okay, now, let us just cut it. There. There. Let us just cut it later. Let us first set it aside. We will cut all of it all at once. There. Just like that again. We will first finish putting the fillings in these then we will be back again. Okay? Okay, now we are done putting choco peanuts as a filling. We will now cut it into smaller pieces. You can use your fingers for size reference. There, for example, like that. Cut. Like that. So that the sizes are equal. There. Okay. And we will coat it in graham crackers. And there will be some which will be coated in peanuts. There, let us now coat it in crushed peanuts. We will now do the yema fillings. But let us first put the finished ones in our winnowing basket. Okay, now guys, this is the other one, the one which we will be filling with yema. We will not flatten it anymore because the thinness is just right. So we will not roll it anymore. That's okay already. Just do this. Then I will use something like this for the yema. You can still use this so that your fillings are evenly distributed. If for example, you don't have this, there is a plastic variant of this which is available in the market, or you could just use plastic instead as long as it is durable, those that do not explode. Okay. And then, let us just put the fillings in this and we will be back again. There. Just like this so that, there. The yema is still warm. Okay. So that the sizes are even. There. Let us just finish this and then, we will be back later. Now, we will put these in the coatings. There. Let us divide it into two, one in the grahams and one in the peanuts. Now, we are done already and we will now taste the tikoy if it is delicious. Okay. And I will taste it first. These are the ones we made. I forgot. I'm sorry. There. There. Of course, I placed some in a winnowing basket and I also placed it here in plastic packaging. There. Of course, it has a name again then a cellphone number. Of course, so that, you can be contacted when someone orders. Okay, let us first point the camera upward. And we will now taste it. There, this will just be a quick tasting session. Let us first taste the- what will we be tasting first? The choco peanut. It's delicious. I missed this. My children missed it. I'm sorry if I am speaking while there is something in my mouth. They were the ones who requested this because they said that they miss the tikoy with a filling of Hany (choco peanut brand). That is why, there. Which is chocolate. It's delicious. I will do this quickly already since my children are already excited to taste this. Let me set aside this piece that I tasted. Let us now taste the one with yema. We will taste the one with yema and then coated in powder. We will taste the one coated in graham crackers. Let us taste it. This is the one with yema which is coated with graham crackers. It's delicious. Hello, mommy! Hello! Delicious. It is both tasty. The yema is delicious. Okay. I am taking so long. Okay. I will just continue eating later. And I will first do the costing. It's delicious. The yema is delicious. The choco peanut is delicious as well. Then the evaporated milk we used, it is very tasty in the tikoy. It tastes like milk. It's so delicious. Your children will surely like it. Okay, now, we will do the costing, and my children will eat snacks already. Okay, for the glutinous rice flour, we just got 2 cups from the ½ kilogram we bought. Let us just estimate it at 19 pesos. The evaporated milk is 13 pesos. And the white sugar, let us just estimate it at 5 pesos. And the vanilla and salt, 2 pesos. Choco peanuts cost 10 pesos since we didn't use all of it. We just used a little amount. And for the yema, there is still a lot remaining from the 1 can. Let our estimate be 10 pesos. And for the crushed roasted peanuts, the ¼ kilogram of peanuts I bought still has a lot remaining. You can still use it in a lot of other recipes. Let us just estimate it at 5 pesos. And let us just estimate the graham crackers for 5 pesos as well since there is still a lot remaining. You can still use it in a lot of other recipes. So the total is 69 pesos. Now, for the ones we made which are placed in this winnowing basket, there, we were able to make 22 pieces. We were able to make 22 pieces and we can sell it for 5 pesos each. Okay, so we can earn 110 pesos from selling these. And then, for the ones placed here in this container, there, it has 8 pieces. You can sell it for 50 pesos since we have an expense for the packaging. You can sell it for 50 pesos already. So our total earning is 160 pesos. Let us deduct our capital of 69 pesos, therefore we will have a profit of 91 pesos. But if you will be making a lot of this, you will be producing more pieces and your earning. Okay. You can just place this in front of your house. There. People will be buying that already. And then, this one, there, like that. Now that Christmas is approaching, these rice cakes are popular. Even if it is not Christmas or New Year, This is still popular. But this is surely popular for the upcoming Christmas and New Year. Just display it outside your house. Make a display which is in this container, and a display in a winnowing basket. And then, the other which I repacked before, there, I don't have it today, but that is the photo of the one I made before when I was still selling. That is the photo. That can be sold fast with just 20 pesos. Now, for the fillings, as I said earlier, it depends on you on what filling you want to put inside. Any will do. It is just up to you. For the coating outside, just thought of something that is bet partnered with the filling you chose, whichever is suited. Just like my yema, I coated it with graham crackers. I coated it with peanuts. The taste is still approved. It is stil delicious. Okay. I hope you learned something from the dish I cooked today. Okay. But before anything else, I would like to thank my viewers. Thank you very much to all of you. And I hope you continue to increase in number.
