Tipid Tips Atbp CAMOTE CUE (Sweet Potatoes on a Stick) Ingredients for Camote Cue (Sweet Potatoes on a Stick) 1 kilogram of sweet potatoes but I divided it into two. I will make some camote cue fries (sweet potato fries), and the one on sticks. ¼ kilogram of light brown sugar. 1 bottle of cooking oil. And of course, banana cue sticks. And we will now heat the pan. Let us let that heat up first then we will put cooking oil. And when it is hot already, I will be back again. There, okay. Now guys, the pan is now hot, and let us now put the sweet potatoes. There. We soaked the sweet potatoes in water to prevent it from turning black and so that it won't be taking much cooking oil. There. I learned this from one of my friends. There. Let me use my hand since we are still cooking it and I washed my hands. There, okay. Now, we placed everything already. Then, let us wait for all of this to turn yellow then we will add the sugar. There. Never put sugar at the same time that you put these sweet potatoes. Let us just wait for the sweet potatoes to cook. Then, we place the sugar. There, it's okay already. This is okay for me already. It is cooked already. Let us now put the sugar. Let us first put half of it. There. Guys for the sugar, when you have placed it already, there, let us put it at the bottom. Then later, we will mix it already. There, our fire is just quite high but you have to check because the bottom part might burn. There. If you can see that the sugar is dissolving already, let us mix it already. Let the sugar be cooked first then we will mix it so that it will stick in the sweet potatoes. There. While we let the sugar dissolve, the container where you will be putting it after should be prepared already, the strainer and sticks because while it is still hot, you should place it in the stick already because they will stick together when it gets cold. The sugar is quite dissolved already. Let us mix it gently. And we will stick the sugar already since the sugar is melted already. There, guys. The sugar is stuck in the sweet potatoes already but what I want is for it to be caramelized. So we will still cook this in quite a high heat. But if you want the sugar in crumbs, you can put this on a stick already. There, we will mix this again so more sugar will stick. But if that is okay for you already, mix this now and when it is wrapped, you can put it in a stick already. But I will caramelize this. There. We will still cook this a little more. Don't mix it anymore. Just wait for it and see if it has caramelized already, just like this, it is nearly done. There, let us put it down again. Because if you will keep mixing that, it will be crushed. There. There, there. That is okay already. We can put that on a stick already. But I will caramelize it. There. Okay, now guys, for me, it is caramelized perfectly already. And we will now put this one by one on a stick. We will put the very cooked one on a stick first. Then just lower the heat. There, we have one already. Let us mix it again. In putting it on a stick, of course, we will put first the biggest one on the end, up to the smallest. Did you know that if you get used to cooking this already, at first, it is quite difficult, but on the next tries, it is not difficult anymore. It is just very easy for you. If you are cooking this for a long time already, there are customers who will tell you that they like the sugar in crumbs more, and others like it to be caramelized. So if you are selling this for a long time already, you will know what your customers like. And of course, I will tell you more tips later. While we are cooking this, move the oil on the edges of the frying pan so that the sugar won't harden on the sides. And so that it won't go to waste. So that it will still stick in the sweet potatoes. There. There. The pieces you will put in here depends on you whether it is worth 10 pesos or 15 pesos. There. If it is 15 pesos, you will add more. If it is 10 pesos, you will decrease. But I think for this, 10 pesos can be sold quickly. We will just decrease the contents. There, okay. We are done. And we will now prepare all of it. We are now done with our sweet potatoes. And we will now taste it. But this first. I will first show you the ones we made. We were able to make 9 pieces of this and we were able to make 4 pieces in here. Okay. There. While I am tasting this, we will do the costing as well. 1 kilogram of sweet potatoes, 30 pesos. And cooking oil, 20 pesos. Light brown sugar, 12 pesos. And for the banana cue sticks, let us just estimate it at 5 pesos. Now, the total is 67 pesos. Now, the sweet potatoes on sticks, we will sell it for 15 pesos. That is already the selling price of this. And the ones placed in a paper tray, we can sell this for 10 pesos, 12 pesos, or 15 pesos. The 15 pesos is when you will add more sweet potatoes. But the ones which cost 10 pesos, you can sell it up to 12 pesos. Of course, the gas for cooking is expensive as well then we still have a packaging expense. Before, I sell this for 12 pesos. That depends on your location. But I sell this for 12 pesos before. Okay. So now, for the 15 pesos, we will earn 135 pesos. And for this, let us just price it at 10 pesos. So 40 pesos. So our total earning is 175 pesos. Let us deduct our capital worth 67 pesos. And we will earn a profit of 108 pesos. Okay. One tip that I can give you, when you buy sticks, they are big. There. What you will do, in the handle, then, you will carve this so that it becomes thinner. There. Because if you will stick the sweet potato, you need to have a thick sweet potato so that it won't explode. For this one, even if your stick is just thin, I mean your slice of the sweet potato, your sweet potato won't break. You will yield more pieces to sell. Okay, that is one of the most important things to remember in selling sweet potatoes on a stick. You will make the stick thinner so you can decrease the thickness of your sweet potatoes.
