MRE REVIEW Massive German Military Ration *Hamburgers*

how's it going guys nathan nathan's mre and today we have a very special ration today's ration is a german epa and it's a biggin and we've done i think type 1 and type 5 before maybe another one this one's type four i've not done this one before this has what i believe is a expiration date of 6 15 2020 so just out of date but as you know on these it doesn't make any difference this thing weighs a ton it's a massive massive ration okay so flip that back open here we have a warning label on top i'm just translating this baby out and this is for the trek and eat biscuits it essentially says don't eat these if it's in a certain lot number 154hs and down below it says that the biscuits have any funky smell color taste don't eat them so we'll be sure to investigate that no doubt so starting off we have our accessory pack i'm not really sure this is supposed to be in a ziploc baggie in a what does that say top it's bag i don't know odd let me go back and look at other videos see that the videos are like that or not here we have a wet nap here we have the salt or sugar that's sugar we have tea extract you gotta be careful with these extracts too because a little bit goes a long ways we found out before we have another tx direct it feels like there's almost nothing in these packages but that tells you it goes a long way we have the epa ready to eat abundant ware or however you say that interesting from the here if you guys want to see this military website then we have some more sugar we'll separate all this stuff out we have water purification tabs there is four of these maybe this one light a little bit might be a little too bright yeah that should be all right got two packs it looks to be salt that is salt so we have coffee extracts of two of these and two tea extracts here we have looks like to be some gum this is coffee whitener that's their moist towelette here's a dry towel there's two dry towels an accessory pack and one wet all right keep going here we have the i call it a riffiel that's not how you say it but this is a exotic type drink feels like it's soil pliable everything is good we have a grapefruit here we have the zatroni here's our matches you guys never seen those before open those up and show you a little bit later well let's open up now i might forget you guys were like no let's see them right now these are cool matches they're all wooden look at that so you got two rows crazy in it don't smell like much you just smell like sulfur but before we go any further here the crank went off and i see a lot of people light matches like this i think that's weird and doesn't work this matches actually might be bad trying to mess around too much time here nope they're not bad at all blow that bad boy up come down here some burn the house down we'll toss those down there too get them out of the way here we have a tuna fish and slot cream i think this was basically tuna and mayo me jeez tuning in cream salad interesting here we have a main the main on this one is 300 grams this is newton the cream and meatballs may be a noodle is that what schnitze newton kick your right in the schnoof newton and we have hamburgers and tomato two hamburgers and tomato sauce so we got the german hamburgers there'll be a thumbnail all right what am i doing orange translating stuff without the translate these are cookies these are the chocolate looks like these are probably vanilla we'll investigate here in just a few minutes another something sticky in there no maybe not we have some cannauer meat sticks meat snacks beef jerky classic here's a trekking eats this is not lumber lot number 221 and that was lot number 154. we'll still be careful and still sniff them out these are very good biscuits you never had to have a little bit of sweetness to them not much here we have the german bread there you go the rye bread as you may say and these are some kind of bouillon um there's beef or what this was now let's translate that out these are vegetable broth bouillons i've been looking to those here's a sesame bar these are the old sticky travel lunch ones if you got any fillings if you eat one of those you won't have any fillings after that to get your chicklets redone i was seeing that this is beef ham sausage with vegetable oil that might sound very appetizing i have some jam apricot jam we have two chocolate bars the chocolate sour cherry jam poultry sausage sometimes the ola google translate gets it right sometimes uh it's a little too desired this is the cappuccino are we done nope oh i was just wondering about this this is the pepper cheese sauce this is like a spicy cheese mildly spicy and this is definitely worth waiting gold this goes very good in some of these main dishes but i think my friends that is going to be all that is all so i'm going to turn into gordon ramsay here we're going to uh get all the water heated up we'll be back in two secs actually before we jump off to go do that we'll open these up cold on camera now go take them to the hot plate i'll roll the edges on it what was this this was the hamburgers and tomato sauce well interesting enough it smells like hamburgers see chunks of potato and stuff in there i can't wait to try that here's our next one what thanks is pasta and cream sauce so i got some meatballs some pasta and some cheesy cream sauce don't smell like much let's heat them up and see all right so we got the hot water is done the mains aren't quite done because somebody didn't plug the little thing in to turn them on so take a little bit longer that's all right let's start off with the cappuccino first who's the foreign mre.com mug not where i got this but we'll advertise for art nina anyway no problem at all um let me see here how many mil how many mil this is 150 mil open up let's take a little smell here you can see the powder smells like cappuccino cappuccino cappuccino depends on where you're from let me see where's your box we'll start chucking stuff in there keep the mess down 150 ml is about a cup probably about right there i would say looks good we're going to get some spoons yet no silverware in this one hold on okay i don't know if anybody has bought out the stuff yet but the link in the description i have an amazon store that's links i put up there not my stuff it's links to things that i've bought off amazon there's a whole bunch of russian snacks and stuff in there go check it out definitely so we'll stir that up let's go ahead and get carefully get the coffee powder out here now i think this is about 300 mil for this but this is like insanely strong it takes a very tiny little amount of this powder to make a cup of coffee like i'm not even joking like that's probably enough i gotta stop there it's just like an insanely strong coffee let's go ahead and blast that in there i made the mistake of dumping a whole pack in there which is about a little more than double that and it was just like uh man the strongest coffee you ever put your mouth on that's for damn sure you're saying spoon for this it looks a little weak trust me that's not the case let's use a coffee whitener maybe i could smell this it seemed the pouch was a little bit puffed up that smells alright i guess you could always go back and add a little more coffee powder to it if you need to in the long run i'll give her a little taste here real quick hot enough to burn your face off that one is whoa all right i'll set that off to the side a little mess let's keep rolling here cold drink the same way 40 grams of powder and this was 500 mils of this pack so about half of this to make this cup of drink we'll stand it up over here on the side that over and i think that's all the drink oh no no no it's not we got to fix the bullion let's get that going i don't know if i ever had the vegetable i think we had beef and chicken before got some little garden vegetables in there freezing some of the powder that's probably not good what was that 150 mil 250 mil so we're in a measuring cup let's go ahead and blast her to 250. about right there is perfect there we go that's like raging raging hot so we'll stick that right there let's go grab the mains okay actually almost burnt the hamburgers that have been a horrible situation but we didn't so with that one last final stir wipe that spoon off we need to insert this again okay so we're ready to start and we can't forget about our tuna too it's laying under here which we won't let's start off first of all let's see if the hardtacks are good right that's going to be the deciding factor those are not good i'm trying to think what else i got laying around here we could use to put our jams and things on we got the bread so it's not that big of a deal um let me see here the knife is also an amazon store all the nice using the channel are for sale in their amazon store so are they discolored stanky any arrangement of any of that they're not discolored not really stinky that's a really really good biscuit look at the just ever so slight bit of sweetness to these look at that if you look at it perfect all right so let's start off grab another spoon here first of all let's try our wet nap it's a very wet wet nap very i gotta make sure not to drop that in our a little strong i don't know ethyl alcohol a little something different on it i actually have some hand cleaner with alcohol and it's some very strong stuff the wet nap is nice you can definitely wipe your face off it was a medical grade nap so you could probably definitely you had to wipe it cut or anything off on it 60 ethanol uh it'd probably definitely feel like you poured fire on it but you could do it if you wanted let's start off with the pasta pasta meatballs and cream or cheese sauce i didn't it was heated up i didn't stir it up there's our meatball i'm trying to get it upside down so you guys can see it there it is wow it's very tender it's not very salty a nice cheese background to it it's like a a cheese stuff like a what they call that i don't know i thought it was like a cheese up it's almost like a dumpling that's very very nice tastes super fresh wow that's a 10 out of 10 that's a very very nice meal man it's not there's no strong sense to it no strong taste to it the seasoning is spot on a little bit of possibly a little bit of oregano or oregano and base on the meatballs the cheese sauce look like a mild cheddar very nice meal the start of the show though is gonna be your hamburgers and let's see just what's going on in here i'm curious to see what one of these are that's a noodle or what is that piece of pepper that's definitely a potato it has a nice green pepper kind of tasty you can see the two patties right here look at that yeah the green pepper you can see one right there interesting it tastes like stuffed peppers it's almost like the patty there's so much sauce on it's hard to tell it's almost like the patty has like a rice mixed in with the meat then you have the bits of green pepper that flavor the whole dish and it's just like eating stuffed peppers a little bit of potato it's almost like a stew at this point ma'am very very nice very mild it's not like it's going to hurt your stomach or give you indigestion well my but and i tell you what the german rations just they don't they don't disappoint at all these are very very nice rations let's take a drink of our orange drink here i didn't fix the rest of the drinks just too much right too much got some floaties in it but that's cool almost like a a cross between sunny d and tang we got the mix perfect on it though it's not too strong it's not too weak it's just right in the middle absolute perfection man oh man let's keep rolling on here so the video is not 10 hours long um we need to do let's try a little bit of this broth first this is the vegetable broth it doesn't have it has kind of a smell to it let's see it's actually very nice it's not as salty as a person would think some of these bouillons you get is just like all salt that's very mild we mix it exactly on the mix i'm so happy there's another pack of those we use a later date man absolutely delicious next thing let's try this tuna over forget about it here and then we're off to our little pates and jams and different things like that now i don't want to stick that in there i'll leave that in there the tuna the tina doesn't look like much but i promise you touch a screen here these are very very nice hmm now i had a lemon pepper one before it's even better the same brand but they're not dry at all that's what you're looking for in tuna good flavor not dry this is it man absolutely perfect it's a fantastic meal no question about it i'm so curious though we have all these pates let's try the jerky before we get into those i'm a big fan of pate and different worst sausages things like that here's the jerky um european jerk is so much different than the u.s turkey yes turkey is so much better depending on what brand you get little squares of it a little bit of flavor not for the most part not a lot of flavor on it look on the dryer side as american where we get jerky of all different sorts of flavors i get that probably a five yeah five i'd say crimp that back down keep that hot man let's move on here and this was try to pronounce that right let me zoom in on it there we go everybody try to say that at home right now poultry sausage i refresh my memory on that one it looks good it looks real good got some venus sausage gel on her there mm-hmm wow not very salty a nice sausagey kind of flavor to it awesome we're gonna put lid off our bread here i tell you what this bread this is a little bit lighter version of it usually it's darker than this don't know it's just a different it smells a little funky it's just not the most appealing thing in the world i don't quite understand i have a lot of german heritage in my family i've eaten german food through the years i've never seen this one though so let's take a bite of that the real star of the show the pepper put some pepper on it oh hold on it's actually a white cheese usually it's like more of a yellow still not mixed up the best let's get a piece of poultry sausages back on it this is very very nice like a lunch and meat some of the pepper and some of the poultry sausage ma'am a little bit oily it's just so mild this is actually still on day 12 of 2020. it's so mild you can barely taste the pepper but it's enough it's enough to give it just a little bit extra something on it man that's that's awesome no doubt and i cannot remember memory is horrible lately beef and ham sausage and brain damage from doing too many youtube videos i think is what our problem is i just love these little sausages and pates and things like that let's take a bite of that ooh that smells funky little tidbits in it little peppers in it a very very mild flavor it doesn't taste real porky it doesn't taste real strongly beef or anything probably one of the more mild i've ever had to be honest hit her with the pepper maybe there we are oh the pepper comes in good this is that creaminess that you're looking for ma'am absolutely awesome we're going to set these back here out of the way we're going to snap the lid back on or i hate to put that on top of that packaging there we go hmm i think it'll sit there orange drink again very very nice now run down the desert menu here for cookies some jams let's take a sip of the cappuccino it's very light it's not real strong almost like it has too much water in it even though we put probably less than what it called for no bitterness to it take a sip of her coffee real quick too over here let's see if our mix is right since i added more to it the coffee is mixed actually perfectly with the creamer i'm telling you if you put too much in there it just will slap you right in the face and not be digging that at all but the nice thing about it you can put however much you want it you can limit it put whatever you want in it whatever however you like it so last time they have a chocolate like this or to be a vanilla very nice little vanilla cookies man something you could put in the pouch any kind of pocket anywhere have them later all right let's get into our hard text and this is our sour cherry jam look at that it's probably pretty similar to a red currant at that point there we are slightly tarp nice cherry background along with a semi-sweet hardtacks that's a that's a home run perfect apricot apricot has also a little bit of tartness to it that's not the camera is that true that mess up two very good jams a little bit of jam and a ration will go a long ways because man that with these heart attacks a nice morale booster these things here though i would think a lot of these probably just get chucked right in the trash can always cut towards you kids good night well it's kind of like gluing your teeth together really it doesn't taste bad it has a slight toasted flavor to it but like i said you have any fillings look at that it's gonna pull all your fillings out like that's enough for me on those holy crap pull your fillings out out in the field that's not gonna be a very good thing either it's a shame it tastes good it's so sticky chocolate let's see the state of this this tells you what to say the whole ration is say the whole ration is pretty damn good it's a nice semi-sweet dark chocolate typical european dark chocolate or russian dark chocolate totally different when you get here in the states i don't know what you what chocolate you could buy here in the states it tastes like that i don't think any that's gonna be it guys this video is crazy long this is a
