MPC One Talkbox Jam with Microfreak!

today we're having an mpc-1 talkbox jam with the microfreak [Music] freebeat hey how's it going everybody welcome to freebeat where i post new music related content every single day so if that sounds good to you hit that subscribe button ring that notification bell today's patreon shout out goes to nicholas viller thank you so very much for the support let's get started so for the latest edition of sunday sessions i did a standalone mpc one jam uh where i kind of riffed on the the main riff actually from the police song message in a bottle and in prepping for that video i actually discovered the talk box effect on the mpc one i put it on a bass uh sound for that video but ever since i discovered that talkbox effect i knew that i wanted to combo it with the micro freak and that's what we're gonna do today so i don't know how jammy we're actually gonna get this might be closer to resembling a real video but it's just because i'm excited to uh to make this combination happen so let's go ahead and go to our audio track here on the mpc and i'm actually gonna lower the brightness on the camera real quick so you can see the screen a bit better on the mpc there we go okay so i've got audio coming in from input one monitor on so first up let's just go into the insert effect and get that talk box that's in the harmonic section under air music and talk box there we go here it is without it and with it on let's just use a preset how about crazy yodler awesome [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hey everybody uh editing free beat here well actually i'm here to shoot the thumbnail but i'm editing right now and i just noticed that uh the audio in this video clips in certain spots which it did not do when i was filming on the headphones uh so not sure what's up with that but i do apologize and i will make sure it does not happen again thanks and enjoy the rest of the video let's scroll through some different oscillator types on the micro freak now [Music] [Applause] whoa i've just moved us over to the two operator fm oscillator type let's give this a shot [Music] that's awesome yeah cool i'm gonna go into the sequencer and let's program a sequence [Music] that's pretty cool i like it and you may have noticed that i have paraphonic mode on that's so i can actually drop an octave and play our sequence still but play bass under it so check it out [Music] yeah good stuff speaking of playing along with it let's go get some drums on the mpc i am not going to use the 80s grid kit um let's go base house kit dash deeper sure why not switch it up that's a satisfying clap [Music] okay cool now that we've got the kit i'm going to make a b sequence real quickly here [Music] all right i think this one's pretty good [Music] nice we've got two different sequences now i'm gonna load up sequence a and uh let's start jamming bear with me there's probably gonna be mistakes i'm gonna be multitasking so let's see how it goes here we go [Music] um [Music] oh [Music] [Music] me [Music] me [Music] me [Music] all right well not my best jam but that's okay uh definitely fun to work these two pieces of gear at the same time anyway i do hope you enjoyed this jam if not feel free to leave a dislike on it that's okay too doesn't hurt my feelings just makes me try that much harder next time either way be sure to hit that subscribe button ring that notification bell new content every single day thank you all so very much for being here thanks for watching we'll see you next time bye [Music] [Music] you
