Mount and Blade II Bannerlord Is Turning Open World

one of the biggest mods for Mountain blade warband was always persistent world the open world conversion putting players in a huge landscape of rivers mountains mines Fields castles and all-out medieval warfare but now that mod has arrived in Ballard it in fact I need to come clear persistent Empires actually came out months ago but I've been spending the last few months testing the waters not necessarily doing a lot of recording and just waiting to see where it goes because there was always issues with persistent World mainly the community but hey I thought I'd check it out anyway persistent Empires has completely transformed the game to a level surpassing anything that the first ever did it's turned Bangalore into an open world almost MMO there's no Overworld map but everybody you see here is a real player all interacting playing as any role that they can imagine the game's open world is so much bigger than I ever thought modders could do and supposedly there are multiple maps that get bigger and bigger each time my God this map is so big how am I supposed to get anywhere wait I follow you I'll get to where I want to be yeah I thought someone was dying over here but he's just chopping wood Jesus Christ lad so logging on you'll realize that this is definitely more of an RPG you start off with very little money and very few skills and most likely absolutely no idea what you're doing chat eyes inventory chat is nothing so there are banks dotted around all these banks are able to deposit or withdraw money but how do you make that well you can train as different classes I start off training as a surf this class can do anything from going mining to chopping down trees to farming to planting crops any of that kind of basic grunt work so I buy myself a hatchet and chop down a few treats take whatever I have to the export market and sell it on I gain a little bit of that precious money but there's got to be something more to this so I go exploring I love how everybody in the previous persistent worlds did it on Game of Thrones houses uh I think everybody has realized that nobody nobody wants to be Game of Thrones houses anymore I guess it just goes on and on and I can literally be walking around here for years yeah look we've been kicked out of our Castle it doesn't need to be anything crazy all we need to do is take that and basically like hold off here for a little bit you're right hold off here for a little bit and then uh we can have once we have the uh our Castle back and we're faction and we grow our faction uh we'll help you with three likes yeah that's great look let's let us have this village now you are partini and then we'll move out after a day or two and you can have it back guys if people are doing duels make sure you do two hit duels uh you can pass it over if you want but I don't we don't really need it right now I'm refined to hold on to it I can give people keys I'm a martial right now you can't demand that scum [Music] stay up [Music] you may have noticed that one of the big things that persistent Empires adds in is Voiceover IP before we've already had proximity chat a local chat group that lets you basically talk to anyone around you yet now it is transformed into voice chat itself I always thought this would be a terrible idea in battle mode and well I'm not exactly wrong but it does admittedly cause for some interesting interactions make a thousand gold if you shoot that guy if somebody give this man some arrows [Music] somebody give this man some arrows it's dangerous puzzle just run back actually yeah take the horse take the horse so I'm being particular oh and it only does actually work for some people as well the mod is still pretty early on and there are still plenty of things that need to be added in the voice chat bug is not the only one I mean there was one where I got stuck behind a mine and I had to commit suicide in order to get out there are plenty of issues like that but all in all this creating an open world we have people playing as any role that they can within this fantasy medieval land it's something quite special the mod also adds in Custom Arms and armors making you look absolutely incredible once you've leveled up to be played people will go around playing as Outlaws or commoners halting each other trying to get money and well that couldn't also cause for some interesting situations this guy's got a cool Crown although they're probably about to Halt me yeah I'm being halted Lads I don't know the mines where Porkins are that's really rude guys look I'm just trying to get a cool cool tour here don't be mean he's a famous YouTuber believe him alone get down Mr President uh by the way but don't kill me if I forget how to uh show my pouch and [ __ ] within this and they will have training so let's check out one of their training sessions so this is what it's like in a training game of course persistent Empires currently doesn't have any sort of private servers really you can only join the official ones so Mountain Blade Two battle Clans have resorted to playing on Native servers to get private ones in order to train because there are battles and there are organized events even within the open world itself okay we'll just keep we'll just keep it that one's legionary yeah with um all right boys everyone line up everyone ready okay left face folks about you so it's basically about group fights we'll do some jewels in a bit and then we'll do a team talk thing and a rundown of what's happening with the clan and everything like that and some other [ __ ] it's all right I want um all the archers and all the Cavs to go to the other team and meet here please do the exact same faction go legionary [Music] yeah and you go uh infantry for me purple's gonna Advance up to here and then you're gonna hold and they're gonna form a shield wall yellow you're going to try and push into them inner Shield wall and you're gonna try and attack your yellow you're gonna be Advanced and purple's gonna be holding some yellow you're gonna come up to here maybe you want to wait again man it's like yes reform reform and then you're gonna move in again and start attacking them and like go backwards and forwards like that and then eventually you're gonna [ __ ] go through I'm not trying to see people running around the sides flanking to try and keep it over this little toughest wheat that you're fighting over just because we wanna you know just try and deal with some Shields and keeping a line and that type of thing so everyone form up on Mount much to explore here and I'm going to be paying Swift and close attention to it the mod has so many possibilities for role-playing storytelling and well of course there are very much moments of you sitting around feeling like you're not doing all that much but when you can go mining craft or blacksmith you can pretty much do anything that you'd expect and anything you'd want be a part of the Cog in the Turning War Machine going and chopping down wood to be put in the smelters making weaponry and armor for the Lords The Archers the footmen and the Cavalry then being sent off to war Defending Your castles or attacking others with diplomacy with other factions it's all within the game and persistent Empires puts it in a beautiful admittedly buggy but beautiful thank you [Music]
