Motorola RAZR 5G | $499 for a Foldable Brand New!

how's it going everybody welcome to another episode of sick eric tv and today i'm going to be going on over a phone that is yes it's a year old this one came out in september of last year and the phone that i'm talking about is the motorola razer 5g this is a pretty cool phone and this is my first foldable so i am excited about this even though it's a year old i'm very excited this is new to me and that's all that matters and when this phone first came out it was 13.99 really really expensive for a phone has mid-range internals and specs yes this ca the technology and the innovation is here with the foldable display 13.99 is a lot it's gone down to 9.99 over the year still kind of expensive for what this is but still it's about the nostalgia and now on t-mobile right now this thing is even lower yes even lower priced at a mid-range price that you would find other mid-range smartphones priced at and we're gonna jump down into it i'm gonna do an unboxing and like i said you guys probably seen a whole bunch of unboxings about this device but it is new to me and i'm excited about it and i'm excited to use the motorola razer 5g and we're going to check it out before we do subscribe like and share hit that bell icon that way you get notified on my future videos and if you want to see more content like this so let's jump down into it shall we all right so this is the motorola razer 5g very very cool innovative phone now i never got to have a razor when i was growing up they were just too expensive and then i saw this thing came out and this thing was expensive too this thing was 13.99 when it first got released i was like uh yeah i definitely am not going to be able to afford that and a lot of foldables that come out uh recently have been you know very very high over the thousand dollar mark and i i do have to believe i do think that uh 13.99 for this smartphone was really expensive i think people were just getting it for the nostalgia purposes and all of the uh tech enthusiasts were getting this phone for that purpose the average person probably did not get this phone a lot of you did but 13.99 for this device is very very expensive and we're gonna jump down and unbox this and see what comes in the box so over the past year this device has gone down in price it went down to 9.99 on team mobile and it stayed at that price for quite some time pretty much most of the year but still was kind of expensive for this device and now guys this phone is at a crazy crazy 499 on t-mobile right now you can even get it for 199 if you add a line to your uh account and they'll give you 300 bill credit 199 for a foldable smartphone yes the most expensive type of smartphones that are being out made right now and you can get this for like 199 499 if you just want to purchase it up front slide this and the packaging on here is just absolutely amazing motorola did a damn good job with the packaging of this it's really cool your uh accessories which are in this cool looking case you could probably use this as a sunglass case if you want so very nice you get the little razor on there you get all your accessories you get a dongle for your headphones right here to usb type c uh charging is only going to be a 15 watt charger for this device if you want to check out those specs right there 15 watts which is okay you could probably use a faster charger usb a to usb type c charging cable you get your sim ejection tool right there and then you also get your paperwork and stuff nicely packaged away and this cardboard can't come out so like i said you can use this to put your sunglasses in you can use this to pretty much carry anything you want which is pretty cool and it's a nice premium case that your accessories come in so very very nice let's set that aside right there and here is the star of the show right here the motorola razer 5g i'm i'm excited about this device guys listen it does not matter how old a device is it could be a year old if you're excited to get it and you want to get a smartphone that is a year old and it is brand new it doesn't matter do it guys if that's what you want and it doesn't matter whether it's the latest and greatest technology go ahead and get it and man i have to say this thing is heavy this feels very nice and premium on like it's just very nice you get a glass back gorilla glass 5 on the front and on the back you get your stainless steel hinge and then you get your i believe this is a plastic right here on the chin but man this thing feels so nice i've never had a foldable guys like seriously never had a foldable like this thing oh this thing just looks and that hinge is buttery smooth it sort of stays in several different positions so it doesn't really snap open but you can't snap it open if you want so very very nice i'm listening guys this thing is a work of art like this thing is just gorgeous so yeah 4.99 on t-mobile let's go ahead and see if there's any juice to it and yes there is and the cool thing about this device is you do get a front-facing display which is a lot more interactive than samsung's flips and you could plug you could respond to messages on here you could watch youtube videos on here and even play some simple games on this front facing display which is crazy a lot more interactive than samsung's uh mini displays on their c flip so very very nice and let's go ahead and check this out and then we're going to go ahead and set it up and go over some of the specs for the motorola razer 5g all right so we are back and we're going to go ahead and set up the security and the fingerprint sensor let me go ahead and enter in my password here so now we're going to set up the fingerprint sensor and it is embedded in the logo on the back so very very nice to see that on there so let's go ahead and set up and then go ahead and set this up so very very nice and fast it is in a good position so when it's closed you can unlock your device pretty quickly so let's go ahead and add another one just for shits and giggles we'll do my left finger so very nice setup very quick so very very nice this thing feels so nice like guys this thing feels very very fancy and clean and premium it is ridiculous on how nice this device feels and there we go we are in the home screen right here and the display actually looks pretty good uh the uh display resolution is going to be a 6.2 inch uh peel lead it is foldable which means it's sort of a plastic display 876 by 2142 pixels and it is 373 ppi right here the external display is going to be a geoled display 2.7 inches with a resolution of 600 by 800 so very very nice and yeah this thing looks pretty cool let's go ahead and check out that fingerprint sensor so yeah you got your display right here you can unlock and you got so many different modes you can use the display as a viewfinder for your main 48 megapixel camera so very very nice let's go ahead and shoot and let's see this works boom and then you could go ahead and open it up and then it will take you to your camera which is pretty cool and the picture is actually pretty good a little bit blurry just because i was moving a little bit but the fact that you could use this as your main camera is pretty cool you also get a 20 megapixel uh front facing camera on here which will do the job just fine but you're probably much you're pretty much going to be using this external display you do have your peak display right here a lot of motorola's nice swipe on over here for your app shortcuts etc and then swipe on over here for your camera and then swipe down for your quick toggle so very very nice swipe up for some other notifications that you get and you can respond to these as well if you want to with the little keyboard which is pretty cute and you can't type on here so that's very very nice so i'm going to go ahead and clean this up and go over some more to your specs for the new motorola razer 5g don't go anywhere guys all right so to test out that fingerprint sensor we're going to go ahead and test it out pretty quick bam and bam so snapdragon 765 g so it's not the latest and greatest from qualcomm but it is a very power efficient uh snapdragon and it is found on other devices like the lg velvets so that's pretty cool and i'm pretty happy with that processor like i said mid-range specs on here and this thing cost 13.99 when it first came out which is just crazy i think the 499 is a really excellent price for the motorola razer just because it's got mid-range specs but it's also got that technology and that foldable technology on here which is pretty cool so let's go ahead and set up the uh face unlock and set this up allow next so allow your line your face and boom bypass the lock screen lift to wake and we are all done so let's go ahead and check this out so flipping this thing is going to be uh pretty new to me just because i've never had a foldable so i'm very excited uh battery on here is going to be a 28 milliamp hour battery so not the biggest battery in the world but i'm hoping that that snapdragon 768 does not draw too much power and i'm excited to see uh exactly how much battery life this thing has going to give just because it's such a small battery i never had a battery so small on a phone gorilla glass on the front and on the back on the clam shell and then you got your plastic display on the main display your camera is going to be a 48 megapixel main sensor over here aperture of f 1.7 no ultra wide no telephoto just one camera they're pulling a pixel here guys just one camera to give you which is 48 megapixels but you can use this as your selfie camera which is pretty cool uh you can record up to 4k 30 frames per second and your front facing camera is going to be a 20 megapixel aperture f 2.2 and you can record up to 1080p on this front-facing camera so no 4k um not now on the front facing camera which is kind of a bummer but it is what it is and uh let's go ahead and snap a picture on that camera so yeah that did take quite a little while to uh give me the finished product but not bad and then you also can use the uh other side to do a camera as well and i'm getting a phone call and this gives you your peak display so you just twist you get your motorola actions right there and then you use the volume button to take a picture very very nice clusters on here so make it yours you get all your metal actions which is really really cool fast flashlight on here quick capture everything that motorola offers on here gestures really well on here with all your actions and things like that and your display you can customize your display as well and personalize everything with layouts wallpapers and styles so very very nice the only color this came in on t-mobile is going to be the uh the gray version but still a very nice clean looking phone they only had one color but guys dude 4.99 for this device is absolutely insane if you add a line it's going to be 199. which is just mind boggling for a foldable smartphone yes it's a year old i don't care i'm excited about this and that's all that matters so it doesn't matter guys if it's the latest and greatest in technology if you like a phone and you want to get it and it's a year old just do it for me i got the lg velvet and the lg v60 those phones are over a year old and you know why i got them because they're badass phones and i like them and this phone i really wanted to try even though it's a year old it's still got all this new technology in here with this foldable display and everything is it better than samsung's you know z flip 3 no it's not but it's a lot cheaper guys this thing is very very cheap uh you get eight gigabytes of ram 256 gigabytes of internal storage no micro sd card and you only have one bottom firing speaker which the c-flip does have stereo speakers but this thing is just eye candy like this thing is absolutely gorgeous to look at i got a case coming and i'm very excited about it and yeah i just wanted to share my experience my first foldable experience is going to be the motorola razer 5g and yeah i'm definitely going to rock this phone and enjoy it for 4.99 guys you can't go wrong if you're hesitant about getting a foldable smartphone you don't think it's for you they're too delicate or whatnot they're too expensive for most try out the motorola razer 499 on t-mobile even cheaper if you add a line if you want to get into the foldable business or just try a foldable smartphone but you don't want to have to pay over a thousand dollars for it try it check this phone out 4.99 t-mobile the cheapest foldable smartphone you can get today before they run out i'm pretty sure this is a discounted price and once they're done and once they're gone that's it you might have to bait you might have to get this used somewhere else for about 400 but this is brand new 4.99 so with that being said guys hopefully you
