hi my name is reward for tomorrow Matt and I'm here today with a colleague key who's also from our and that we brought today some amazing new camera technology and in the last 20 years I've never seen anything like this it's a revolutionary way of visualizing vibration problems now it's called motion amplification Keith can you tell us a bit more about it yeah so Stuart motion after vacation it's a new way of visualizing vibration you know we've never seen before yeah so whereas we may have put one or two sentences on the machine in the past you know now it could well the two million two million so is it how does it do that it's up the pixels or something yeah that's right so we've got a two point three megapixel camera yeah and each one of those pixels been turned into a sensor itself able to meet the displacement frequency that is amazing what sort of application would be using something well as a real wide variety of applications Douglas goes for things like rotating upsets structures pipe work yeah structures related to rotating upsets also going to a new area of processes all right so we can start looking in areas with vibration they are rolls and stuff like that on a steel mill or absolutely so4 t if you don't know mills and what's all arranged with this camera do we have to be really close or could could I shoot a machine quite far away what we really depends on what lens we've got there all right you've got different lenses that's right here so we've got a close-up lenses with the wide-angle have a feel under the gun there's a telephoto so get distance shots and in terms of capturing the data is that quite straightforward does it took a long time to take a reading or I'm sorry a video yeah well that there's a new way of thinking that there is a video now it's very quick way of gathering the information yeah some videos could be 10 seconds you know you might want to take a little bit longer maybe 30 minutes that's possible as well Wow but it really brings out that data collection timeline I think for me this is a totally new technology and I've seen a few videos and it's blowing me away but I think for me that the big point with this is it's so visual into and we're looking at machines in ways we've never done before before we were using get a few readings on the machine 10 millimeters per second they're 22 there but this shows it actually how it's moving doesn't I think that's the key point with this technology absolutely yes it's similar to comparable to OTS going to work in the past who might have liked them considered ODS on a machine but it'd have been looking to see what things both were disproving like yeah well now this gives us that ability to visualize looks like ODS the other thing Dan can't come we get a natural reading a spectrum up an arm like an actual frequency part yeah absolutely so with the right conditions with a good straight edge you get very good accurate leading up the displacement things I mean that's unbelievable - losing those pixels is it and that's how to do introspection yeah absolutely which is just unbelievable when you eats off a video have exactly written as well it's extremely accurate yeah whilst we said it's rate is comparable to additional countries well thanks for that key he's actually got a job now out on plan is going to use the motion application system and what I'm going to do I'm going to catch up with it later to see how he's gone you
