Hello friends it's me shin and today I'm coming to you from the font and blue where we're checking out mother wolf this is one of the Premier Italian restaurants from Los Angeles made it we are here in Las Vegas super excited to show you this one let's head inside all right everybody here we are seated at mother wolf an incredibly popular restaurant here at the font blue it's super popular reputation from Los Angeles has made its way here to Las Vegas I'm definitely in the mood for some good Italian food let's see what they've got to eat starting with the drink menu and here is an abbreviated wine list at mother wolf if you're not going by the bottle these are the prices they have for the glasses as well as some custom cocktails back here very nice a pretty good-looking drink menu there however it is a weekday and I've got work in the morning so no drinking for me tonight let's take a look at what they've got to eat next and here is your menu at mother wolf uh you know I'm not able to read a lot of this but it looks like some breads up top here and then you have your sharables in the center there things like squash blossoms oxtail meatballs that sounds awesome yeah all of this looking really good you have some pizzas in the center here definitely in the mood for a personal pizza today here are your pastas looks like uh goodlooking spaghetti here Wells ricatoni ooh a a lobster spaghetti there that looks good here are some more those luxury items looks like you've got a caviar as well as truffles in these dishes and then you have your additional Entre down here looks like your Seafood things like Pacific swordfish as well as your other proteins like Prime ribeye cap very nice a really goodl looking menu here at mother wolf not that I can really pronounce too much of it though and I'm really excited to try things out because you know how it goes in my videos every restaurant is a buffet if you're willing to pay so I'm going to get a nice variety of together we'll see what this restaurant's all about appetizers are coming up first I'll see you in a little bit when they [Music] arrive welcome back everyone now my appetizers just got here and this is looking really good let me give you a view I got an order of their fasha bread as well as some squash blossoms their risotto croquet and their oxtail meatballs this smells so good I'm really excited to give it a try now the first appetizer I'm trying today is going to be the fashi bread you would not believe the incredible Aroma coming off of this bread really excited to kick things off here at mother wolf that was delicious hands down this is the best Picasa bread I've had in my entire life it's absolutely Divine I don't even know where to start while this has a very toasty looking exterior the bread is soft as a cloud so incredibly Airy and fluffy in the center the texture is an absolute dream beautifully seasoned the oregano and salt are at perfect levels you really get that nice herbal quality of the oregano here as well as some beautiful richness from some very high quality olive oil ever so slightly crisp exterior with a pillowy center beautiful flavors really taking on those oregano notes I've got to be careful before I go off and finish this entire bread roll it's so good next up we're doing the squash blossoms feels really great in my hands let's give it a try oh yeah that's very tasty a very thin light batter here you can actually see how translucent it is showing the squash blossomed underneath the exterior batter is just a great start here very crispy very well seasoned the batter for the squash blossoms are top-notch I can't say I taste too much of the Squash Blossom here I guess they're mostly acting as a vessel the Rota cheese feeling inside is absolutely marvelous it's rich and creamy with just the right amount of salt giving a very nice flavor I am definitely getting a little bit more of that Squash Blossom as an aftertaste although it's a bit faint the main star of the show here is definitely that Rota cheese in case in this ultra light crispy batter it's really satisfying to eat I like this one next up we're trying the oxil meatball served in a nice looking tomato sauce here as well as top of peino romano and I certainly love my ox tail hopefully this is good okay yes that is very good starting with this crispy exterior layer it's very good a beautiful crunch akin to panko breadcrumbs and while it is well seasoned it's definitely taking on the flavors of this pomodoro sauce very well the sweetness from that pomodoro sauce definitely hits you right up front which is a great introduction to the rest of the bite the oxtail inside is so good incredibly rich with a deep beefy flavor it's incredibly satisfying to eat I think I might actually call this more of an oxtail meat bow as opposed to an oxtail meatball hopefully that makes sense typically when I think of a meat Bowl I'm thinking about the meat Incorporated with some kind of breading to create kind of a pressed down mixture I think when I'm basically playing semantics here it's not a real complaint this is very good and the last app guys I'm trying for today are the potato Croquettes you get three potato CET logs here again to with a Pino Romano cheese looking forward to this let's give it a taste you know that's not bad they've got a really good cook on that exterior here again very well seasoned I don't really have too many complaints when it comes to the breading the texture of the risotto rice inside is quite nice it has a really great great firm texture while still being fairly soft to chew through there's a mozzarella cheese in the center here that's adding a lot of richness to the bite that part is not bad now unfortunately the rice doesn't have a ton of flavor for me while it does have a nice texture the flavors are just a little muted it's clearly stewed in their pomodoro sauce however it's not coming through very well for me the majority of the flavors in the bite for me are coming from the breading exterior as well as that cheese Center though those flavors aren't bad by any means because it is a risoto croat expecting a little bit more from the risoto itself but the other elements are definitely the star of the show here it's not bad but this is certainly the least impressive of the four appetizers I tried today all right everyone now that's my appetizers for today I'm going to continue working on this and then we'll go in on our first round of food don't go anywhere I'll be right [Music] back welcome back everyone now my first round of Entre are here and this is looking really good let me give you a view I got their Margarita Pizza as well as the kacho Pepe their Linguini with clams as well as their spaghetti arabiata this is all looking so good I can't wait to give it a try kicking things off we're starting with Chef Evan funky's kacho Pepe I guess you can kind of think of kacha Pepe as a very adult mac and cheese the basic recipe is cheese and black pepper I happen to love kach Pepe and the one here at mother wolf is incredibly popular let's see how it Stacks up that is fantastic this is textbook Al Dente pasta here an absolutely perfect texture an incredibly firm chew leading to a very satisfying bite the cook is just perfect this butter cheese sauce is so rich there is a beautiful creaminess to it that is undeniably delicious incredibly fresh cracked black pepper here providing a little bit of bite and kick here it really comes together well all of the flavors here are very balanced and Incredibly delicious this is simplicity at its finest I have no complaints this is probably one of the best kacho Pepes I've ever had Okie do next up we're trying the spaghetti adab Pata adab Pata you can just think of as a spicy marinara and there's certainly some heat when it comes to the smell let's see how this tastes oh yeah that's very good the chef timing to the pasta here is immaculate perfectly out Dente such a wonderfully firm chewy noodle here the adata sauce here is very nice while you certainly get the sweet flavors of the Tomato here the spice levels are very enjoyable fire beware this is not mild by any means you're definitely going to break a little bit of a sweat but it is oh so delicious the sauce is incredibly garlicky setting up a nice depth of flavor with that sauce you do get some nice salty Bur here coming from the peino Romano cheese which can act as a nice little rest bit from that spice if you love arabiata sauces the one here at mother wolf is very tasty I like this one next up we're doing the Linguini ala vongola AKA Linguini with clams you can actually smell the white wine reduction here and this is personally one of my favorite pasta dishes hopefully it's good here at mother wolf okay this is amazing I am so in love with the pasta here at mother wolf they've nailed the cook every single time a beautiful linguini pasta here cook perfectly Al Dente this is just a definition of consistency the Manila clams here are incredibly delicious a signature chewi with those clams while imparting that salty almost mineral likee flavor they're also very clean no sand in my clams the protein here is really great the white wine sauce is so delicious a beautiful crispness coming from that white wine reduction and it's been infused with such delicious garlic and clam flavors one of my favorite aspects of Linguini and clams is how clean the flavors are and this might be just some of the crispest clean flavors I've ever had with this particular recipe I am in love with this dish it is delicious all right my friends last but certainly not least is going to be the Margarita Pizza a super thin crust here with a little bit of a fluffy end let see how this is oh yeah that's really good a super thin crispy crust here it actually has a nice developed yeasty flavor a little bit of char to it as well you can tell from the toasty bits on the underside of this pizza that they have a very hot oven the Pomodoro pizza sauce here is very sweet but they've actually balanced the acid levels of it very well a very light layer of Buffalo mozzarella cheese is providing a nice richness here as well as imparting a bit of a salty flavor the basil here certainly provides a nice floral note to the overall pizza and in general it all comes together very well this is a solid Margarita Pizza all right everyone now that's the first round of Entre honestly I'm very impressed with mother wolf so far the food has just been really good I'm going to continue working on this but I'm going to get a box to get a lot of it to go because I've got another round of Entre coming don't go anywhere I'll be right back [Music] welcome back my friends now my last round of Entre are here and this is looking really good let me give you a view I got their fetuccini aluro as well as their Pacific swordfish and I also got their Prime ribeye cap this is all looking so good I can't wait to go in first up is the rib cap I asked for my rib cap prepared medium rare it looks pretty good to temperature here let's see how it is yeah that's very good an incredibly tender and juicy steak here it has an excellent cook a warm pink Center here they absolutely nailed that medium rare certainly a nice sear on the outside of the steak you get the beautiful flavors of the myard reaction and nice big chunks of flaky salt provide a very nice seasoning here a pretty straightforward rib cap here but it is well prepared well executed no serious complaints I like the rib cap now the rib cap is served alongside a potato and a rugul side I've got all the elements on the fork here let's see how this is oh yeah that's nice I really like those smashed potatoes here a very crispy exterior and a super soft Center definitely one of the better executed smashed potatoes I've had very good cook here they're well seasoned imparting a very nice clean potato flavor a very good base to the side you definitely get the signature pepperiness from the arugula here and a nice salty element from this parmesano regano cheese it makes a nice accompanyment for the steak honestly a really good side here Okie do next up we're doing the Pacific swordfish this is served alongside something like an Italian salsa ver day and it's smells incredible let's give it a shot oh yeah that tastes great the swordfish has been cooked absolutely perfectly firm and moist in the center with a nice grilled sear on the outside wonderfully seasoned you really get nice hits of black pepper here not a bland fish by any means a little mild in flavor I actually really like the taste of this swordfish this green sauce that it served alongside with that I can't pronounce is very good the basil and capers in this sauce provide a nice fresh floral hit to the overall flavors and you do get a little bit of sweetness coming from this Pomodoro you have some whole baby Tomatoes here providing a nice additional sweetness this green sauce is based in olive oil so it makes for a very satisfying Rich bite this is a fantastic swordfish I like it a lot all right everyone now the last entree I'm trying today is the fetuccini aluro this is fetuccini pasta served alongside some pruta the Pharma as well as truffles Now the recipe does call for white truffles however they were out today and so they freshly shaved on some black truffles here it's incredibly ping you can smell this from a mile away I've got a nice forkful here with all of the elements this is a $150 pasta dish so hopefully this is really good let's give it a shot oh yeah that's tasty now these fetuccini noodles are certainly softer than alente but I think I think that's according to the recipe I'm not sure if I would prefer a more firm noodle here because it's not like the pruto and the truffles have a much varied texture here the butter sauce that the fetuccini is served in while Rich I don't think it's actually one of the stronger flavor profiles in the bite it feels like it's mostly there to keep the moisture levels appropriate as well as provide richness for a nice mouth feel the pruta deparma here is incredibly delicious it's salty and has a very deep ham flavor it's just a little bit sweet but very natural and clean tasting it's very good the truffles here are pungent and earthy now I can definitely see why this particular recipe would want to call for white truffles as opposed to black with all the other elements here I think you would appreciate a little bit more of a sweeter truffle flavor which is the signature difference between black and white truffles that's not to say the black truffles don't work well in this dish but after having gone through all the dishes today I don't know if I would rock $150 for this I think I would spend a third of the price and go in on those Linguini with clams but if you're in the mood for something incredibly luxurious and very flavorful this isn't a bad way to go all right my friends now that does it for all of the Entre that I'm trying today I am stuffed with the amount of carbs that I took in today I think I'm probably going to be falling into a food coma here pretty quickly so I think it's time for some dessert don't go anywhere we'll take a look at some sweet snacks welcome back everyone now it's definitely time to look at some sweets and end this meal off let's take a look at the dessert menu and here are your dessert options at mother wolf looks like some uh some pretty goodlooking options up top here you also have gelato sorbet coffees down here and if we flip the menu over we also have some uh some dessert wines all looking really good now that is a pretty good looking dessert menu here at mother wolf I'm pretty stuffed so I think it's just going to be a real quick one today for all of you at home I'm going to make whatever I choose of here right now and here it is everyone my dessert and this is looking really beautiful let me give you a view this is the Tora der Rota comes with spiced pears as well as pomegranate seeds now I've got a really nice Spoonful here with most of the elements on top looks really good let's give it a shot [Applause] [Music] oh yeah that's very tasty this is quite the complex dessert with a lot of layers and depth I like it a lot it starts off very similar to a cheesecake you have a very fluffy and Airy custard like Center here providing a very rich vanilla flavor and a nice sweetness this peanut crumble is providing a nice nuttiness to the overall flavors as well as a bit of a crunchy texture speaking of crunchy textures these pomegranate seeds have been cooked cook very well it's kind of candy likee in texture with almost a liquidy center you get that trademark bitter sweetness that comes from a pomegranate seed it acts as a beautiful accent flavor for this cheesecake Center the pear here is so tasty super soft sweet with a bit of a woodsy note coming from the spices cinnamon certainly being one of the more predominant flavors it's also served along with some pomegranate sorbet on the side providing a nice fresh fruity flavor in position to that creamy richness of that cheesecake all of this is coming together very well I'm a fan of this dessert all right everyone now that does it for my dinner here at mother wolf at the font in blue my dinner this evening came out to $550 today before tip and I got to say this is one of the best Italian meals I've had in a long time the fasha bread from the appetizers was absolutely my favorite in fact I think that's the best fasha bread I've had in my entire life of the Entre the Linguini with clams is hands down my favorite one of of the best cleanest preparations I've had of that particular recipe I don't think I actually had a bad dish here all of the options came incredibly well prepared genuinely I don't think anything is coming to mind when I think about negative aspects for this restaurant it is incredibly popular I believe the Los Angeles location is booked out for months and even here in Las Vegas it's very busy every night in general I got to say this is probably one of the best Italian restaurants in the city this place is receiving such high praise for me I genuinely really adore the food here now I hope you enjoyed another restaurant Vlog
