[Music] ah [Music] me [Music] me [Music] [Music] my [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] then [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] hi my name is rosemary siemens and thank you so much for watching sunday hymn serenade where i share a new hymn video every sunday at 10 a.m eastern on youtube i hope you enjoyed this beautiful and touching hymn it is well with my soul with my friend calvin dick on violin [Music] we recorded this as a tribute for a dear friend beth nicol who recently passed away into eternity beth was a wonderful wife a mother of three young children an incredible musician amazing violist violinist and she was an incredible woman of god as well beth and i kind of grew up together in our college days we went to the same university university of british columbia for our undergrads and she was an amazing friend to me we spent so much time together the loss is so huge sometimes it's not in the timing that we can understand but god sees all and we have to put our trust and our faith in him the composer of this hymn horatio spatford also went through great tragedy he lost his four children on a shipwreck and he later went through that same place where they perished and he went down to his cabin to write the words it is well with my soul when i watched my friend beth's memorial service one thing rang true she knew where she was going she was gonna see her lord and savior and she said no matter what what will be will be it is well with my soul how she lived her life is how we should all live our lives this is just a temporary home we are waiting for our eternal home with our lord jesus christ i am so thankful for the time spent with my friend beth i know so many others have gone through great tragedies this last year and i hear from so many people that are hurting and i pray that this song just touches your soul and this is for each and every one of you that you may feel peace and know that if you accept the lord jesus christ into your heart and ask forgiveness of your sins you have no worries you will be with god in eternity when you die whenever our time comes we can know and have that great assurance that we will spend eternity with him i pray if this song was a blessing or if someone needs to hear this message you share it with a friend in hopes that it is a great blessing to them as well if you would like this track you can get it now by partnering with us on patreon the link is right over here we will send you the weekly sunday hymn serenade mp3s as well as sunday hymn serenade cds i thank you for your support your generosity your prayers your comments they mean the world to me tune in every sunday at 10 a.m eastern for a new hymn video thank you so much for watching and thank you so much for helping me bring back the hymns [Music] long ago
